I loved this book! I will admit that the previous M/M books I have read have never tickled my fancy the way this book did. I think the author did a fabulous with the character development of both Matt and Alex. First the sex and passion ignited the page, wow, but then the love and romance swept in like an ocean wave and really made this book sizzle. It was a typical love story of people from opposite sides of the tracks, or beach in this case, but Kele Moon did a great job of finding a middle ground.

If you are a fan of sexy Alpha boy loving with a dash of sweet and a whole lot of passion, then this is a book for you. I will be dipping into this author’s backlist to see what other treasures I can find!

Both want to be together but some outside influences and misunderstandings have to be worked through first before they can finally be together. The quick novella relies heavily on misunderstandings and character inconsistency rather than a well developed concept and plot.

The characters are very one-dimensional and extremely inconsistent. They act in whatever way the story needs in order to create tension or misunderstanding. For example Lewis starts out not wanting anything to do with John because he’s a guy and a vampire. But out of the blue, Lewis decides they’ll have sex and see where the relationship goes. Then when John isn’t ready to commit the instant they share bodily fluids, Lewis is angry and upset. These kinds of back and forth irrational behaviors extend to almost all the characters. Overall this creates an atmosphere where none of the characters act in an authentic, genuine way. Instead they’re manipulated to suit what the book and author wants. It’s not a fleshed out, well-written romance.

On the other hand what does work well is the hot chemistry, quick pace, and strong sense of family dynamics. The instant mate/sex/love idea is a hallmark of Ms. Kell’s and used in all of her stories, so fans of the author will not only like this but likely be looking for the concept. I don’t think this is one of Ms. Kell’s better books but if readers are looking for Lewis’ happy ending they’ll likely want to read this one if only for the hot sex alone.

One part of the story that I found enjoyable was the sexual activity. Lawrence is really helping Yolanda to understand more about herself through sexuality. I think this helps the character in more ways than just how to have a great orgasm. It teaches her how to relieve stress and understand more about her body and mental state. This teaching or self discovery does involve some interesting scenes including a sexual awakening at a club while watching an ménage. The scene does involve anal play, but is done in a tasteful way which leaves everyone including the main character satisfied.

The conflict in this story added an extra element of excitement and entertainment. It added a sympathy element regarding Yolanda as well as allowed Lawrence to be the knight and shinning armor Yolanda needed. It also allowed the author to introduce some interesting sub-characters such as Jim Yolanda’s IT guy and Mick, someone Lawrence thought he left in his past.

This story ignited a love for erotic stories that I thought I had lost, and will always have a spot in my heart for that fact alone. So if you are someone looking to get introduced to little BDSM or has had a long appreciate for it you will enjoy reading this story.

Told from Tracey’s POV Darin is one seriously hot Dom, and he certainly gets it just right for her. The sex is explosive, I adored the dialogue between the characters in the action scenes and the way the author described the setting and the evening was great, I felt quite the voyeur.

Blow out the Candles is a smokin’ hot read that will all but melt your e-reader, perfect for immersing yourself in on your lunch-break or for getting you in the mood at bedtime. I will be looking for more work by this author.

I liked how the author doubled and tripled David in the dreams – very naughty, great fun! A nice excuse to act out some fantasies too.

The dialogue was sharp, all of the conversations with meddling Amber had me clenching my fists – wicked woman. The genie was sweet – nice that it was a woman – and enough part of the story to be functional but not THE story, the plot was definitely Cassie focused. Sex scenes were steamy, I liked the last one the best, but that was probably because David really did if for me too, I could see why Cassie had got her panties in a twist over him – Phew!

A good novel, nice characters, realistic but magical, enough between the sheets action to stoke the fire and a lovely ending.

The reader gets to enjoy both subtle and blatant humor, the unraveling of a-more-than-century old secret, and the many types of love—family, man/woman, friends. The acceptance of human flaws and foibles reveals the uniqueness of individuals and showcase a love for life. The redemption that comes is most rewarding.

Katie Lane writing style keeps the reader turning pages, ties up loose ends neatly, and satisfies with a happy-ever-after, yet leaves the reader ready to look for the next book about Brandston’s brother, Beau.

It’s been a while since I’ve picked up a book that had me glued from page one. I found myself thinking about the characters and wanting to get back to the story when life called me away. Marked by Aline Hunter has a perfect blend of alpha male and naïve female that instantly grabs your attention. Chloe is innocent, yet eager to learn everything she needs to know to embrace the life of a wolf. Jackson is 100% hot-blooded male, yet struggles to be patient and lead Chloe down the path of knowledge and experience in all things pertinent to her new life as not only his mate, but co-leader of his pack. There’s some hard lessons to be learned for the both of them, but it only makes their bond stronger.

The secondary characters were equally intriguing. Ms. Hunter does a marvelous job of introducing just enough others to enhance the plot without muddying the waters and making it too confusing to keep everyone straight.  Marked is a truly worthwhile read from beginning to end and leaves many doors open for some future tales—if the author feels incline. This is one reader who’s hoping she does because I’m anxious to know what happens with Rachel and Declan.

For a howling hot read chocked full of sexy-as-hell wolves, head-strong females, and a few humans tossed into the mix, be sure to grab a copy of Marked by Aline Hunter. The sex is super hot so read with caution—or a glass of something cold to cool you down—and the characters are addicting. Love Bound In Ice is the third book in Marisa Chenery’s exciting Werewolf Sentinels series. It’s another great short story from one of my favorite authors. It’s true…I have loved all the books in this series. But thanks to the author’s talented writing the stories seem to get better with each new one I read. I think this one is my favorite though because I loved the characters so much.

Ketah has been my favorite wolf brother right from the start. He has embraced the modern world since awakening from his long sleep. He was just so sexy and cool, how could a woman not fall in love? When he rescues his mate from a tight spot, Ketah is ecstatic. But as his luck would have it, his mate doesn’t jump right on the Ketah train. Haven has seen the hard way how a handsome face can destroy a woman. She’s afraid to give her heart to a Ketah, for fear he’ll run out on her just like her dad did to her mom. But we all know how hard it is to resist that pesky mating heat. There’s not much conflict between the two leads in this story. Haven accepts Ketah with only a slight hesitation, once she finds out that he won’t be leaving her for the first sweet thing that comes along. The danger comes from the dark wolves who plan to use Ketah and Haven’s mating bond against them.

When it comes to sexy shifter stories…Marisa Chenery always delivers the good stuff. She leaves her readers feeling satisfied and wanting some more. For a short story this one had a lot of character. The hero and heroine were easy to love. Ketah understood Haven’s fears and wanted her to realize that he was in it for the long haul. Haven resisted Ketah at first but with her background that was easy to understand. I loved Haven. She was strong willed and more than a bit stubborn. The character developement was totally credible. The thing I like so much about Marisa Chenery books is that you get some steamy sex scenes but you also get a real story. She delivers an interesting plot every time. Although there was the conflict with the dark wolves, I thought that this story focused more on the relationship between the hero and heroine. And I liked that. I liked it a lot. For the length it had plenty of action and drama to keep the reader interested right up until that last page. All in all, I’d say that this was an enjoyable and sexy read. I’d recommend it and am looking forward to reading the stories to follow.

The Angel’s Fall is a very short story about an angel in love with a mortal. It’s well written and intriguing but definitely suffers from the length. It’s simply too short to really develop any nuanced emotion, complex characterization, or even a happy ending. Instead the short story is a good idea with some interest created but ultimately left wanting. Michael is the narrator and thus we see the story from his perspective. He is in love with this mortal soul, though we’re never told why or what leads Michael to feel so strongly. The soul, currently in a man named Darcy, is woefully under developed. He only seems to exist as a concept of love for Michael than a real person.

They seem to fall in love instantly with a bit of a vague ending. It’s more of a happy for now than a happy ever after. Having said all that, the character of Michael is affective and draws you into the story. The writing has an ethereal quality that fits the subject matter and the concepts made me want to read more. If the short story had been longer I probably would have been more satisfied. As a short, it’s quick, easy to read, and intriguing. It happens all too fast but it’s interesting and definitely kept my attention.

Short stories are tough due to the abbreviated length. This one hits the mark with a genuine longing and need, less so as a romance or erotica. It more so straddles the lines between genres and will likely appeal to those fans of angel stories. Michael is a well-known and popular figure so his struggles are also universal in some ways. Unrequited love and need is something that fits more than just angels. I enjoyed The Angel’s Fall and would recommend it for those short story readers that don’t mind a more ambiguous happy ending.
