Subject: Navy SEAL Petty Officer Brody Lane

Current Status: On leave

Obstacle: The one girl who was off-limits…

Where navy SEAL “Bad Ass” Brody Lane goes, trouble follows. Being run out of his hometown years ago for misbehaving with Genna Reilly—the sheriff’s daughter—was one thing. Now Brody is about to step into real danger. Not the suggestive letters he’s been exchanging with Genna, but the kind of trouble that can send a soldier home injured and broken inside…

Genna’s entire life has been orchestrated by her family. The right job. The right friends. Enough! Brody’s return offers the promise of lust-filled pleasures. Of flesh teased and tasted. She’s not expecting to find a soldier with distant eyes who has secluded himself from the world. But this good girl knows exactly how to bring a bad boy back to life….

Uniformly Hot! The Few. The Proud. The Sexy as Hell.

I enjoy a book about a town’s bad boy turning his life around to be better than anyone ever thought he could be. I like when he ends up a hero, who proves everyone wrong, and ends up showing the town what a real hero looks and acts like. And in doing so, allows himself to love and to be loved.

The one aspect that makes this book believable to me and totally suckered me in was Brody being shanghaied into the Navy. Thing is, it can happen because that’s what happened to one of my uncles. He too was on a path to destruction but instead of the Navy, he went Coast Guard. In this book, Genna’s dad was the catalyst who forced the enlistment. For my uncle, it was my grandfather. Like Brody, it changed his life, gave him direction and made him a self-assured, successful man who was comfortable with his place in the world. Eventually he married a Navy woman and they’re both happier than they thought possible. So for me, watching Brody and Genna fall in love, and everything they had to do, feel, fight for and stand up for, was very life affirming and relatable. I saw my own uncle live it. How could I not love this book?

I did really enjoy reading A SEAL’s Salvation. Not only because of the abovementioned fact, but because Ms. Weber knows how to weave a sexy, seductive story in which well-crafted characters find their happy ever after.

Genna’s personal growth was impressive. She had the most to lose and the most to gain by standing up for herself. In this case, Brody inflamed the spark of rebellion inside that had been simmering for ten long years. In the end, however, she had to do it for the most important reason of all – herself. The process was at times painful, sad and poignant but ultimately proved she had the mettle to be a Navy SEAL’s wife. She just had to convince Brody.

Brody had his own emotional gauntlet to brave. His internal angst was just as agonizing because it could undermine and destroy everything he worked for and the man he’d become if he makes the wrong choice. His confusion comes from having to decide which was which. Insight came from an extremely surprising source and it warmed my heart down to my toes. It’s scenes like that which make Ms. Weber’s stories such a treat to read.

I loved the sexy letter writing campaign, the cookie revelation and Brody’s grandmother is a sweetheart. I liked the dialogue because it captured the essence of the hero and heroine. Even the secondary characters had some impressive scenes on stage without which this book wouldn’t have been as effective as it was. Ms. Weber knows how to create a wonderful supporting cast for her characters and she does it again in this novel.

I’d be negligent if I didn’t mention the sexy scenes where Genna and Brody explore their budding physical relationship. They don’t disappoint. The one thing I like is that the author never has her protagonists take themselves too seriously. There are moments, even when they are intense and passionate, where a smile sneaks up and turns into an all-out grin. Although the scenes were hot and satisfactory, I question whether a woman could really “lose count of all her orgasms”. I figure a Navy SEAL has to be good, but is he really THAT good? It sure is a nice fantasy.

A SEAL’s Salvation is a smoking hot fast read that’s sure to please. I read it in one sitting all due to the fact that Genna and Brody were compelling characters. I liked their history, their journey and the promise of a happy ever after future. This book embodies what I enjoy about reading romance and it’s a definite recommend.

What is it about guys with guitars in their hands that makes them so irresistible, even when they are obviously self-centered jerks? If Abby and Maggie could answer that question, maybe they could finally get over Nathaniel. There’s just something about him when he picks up his guitar and gets behind the microphone, something that makes sensible women act like teeny-boppers instead of rational, self-respecting adults.

Abby was first sucked in by Nathaniel’s rock ’n roll swagger four years ago when a drunken fling turned into a series of drunken hook-ups that became something like a relationship. Now, as New Year’s Eve promises a fresh start, she wants to believe he’s finally going to grow up and take their relationship seriously.

What does Nathaniel hope the new year will bring? An escape from the disappointing realities of his life. He’s thirty-four years old and he’s barely making ends meet as an adjunct philosophy professor, which was always only a back up plan anyway. Nathaniel’s real goal was always to make his living as a musician, but his band, The Latecomers, broke up a couple of years ago, and he hasn’t picked up his guitar in months. When he decides to spend the holiday with some high school friends instead of hanging out at the bar where Abby works, he gets the happy surprise of reuniting with his long-lost friend Maggie. Newly divorced, Maggie has just moved back to her mother’s house to regroup.
This plan has the support of the Obama Administration focusing on a few projects does not communicate the potential of high speed and electric buy levitra in usa rail more generally: it functions as insulation against oil shocks in a nation extremely vulnerable to the price and availability of oil. Nathaniel and Maggie were supposed to be the ones who left Worcester forever to conquer the world. He was going to be a rock star. She was going to take the world of art by storm. He’s never gotten farther than Boston, and her best effots only left her broke and heartbroken. As they ring in the New Year together, Nathaniel decides it’s time to take control of his life and to start making his dreams come true. He thinks the first step will be easy. All he needs to do is break up with Abby and finally admit his feelings for Maggie. But the new year has more surprises in store, and nothing is ever as simple as it seems.

This was a challenging read that certainly makes you think about choices and how the affect our lives.

Truthfully, I didn’t really care for either party when I first started reading this story. Both seemed so self-absorbed and not into each other. Abby had become involved with Nathanial when she first met him at the bar where she was working. He played his guitar with his band. Abby was interested because of this, and so had been with him for years. She doesn’t really love him, and he doesn’t really love her, but still they stayed together.

Now, on New Year’s Eve, Abby is hoping that Nathanial is finally going to ask her to marry him. But Nathaniel is hoping that soon he can escape from his humdrum existence with someone he barely tolerates. Neither party is really happy with their lives. This seemed really sad to me. Nathanial is struggling financially as an adjunct professor, barely making a living. His original plan in life was to be a musician. But his band, The Latecomers, broke up and he hasn’t picked up his guitar in months.

He decides to go to a party with his old friends instead of hanging out with Abby, and while at the party, he sees his first love, Maggie, from his High school days. Spending time with her makes him realize that he is wasting his time with Abby and he decides to break up with Abby. Seems easy enough, but that’s when stuff starts getting very confused.

Things start to change for all three of them on New Year’s Eve. He is in one town, Abby is in another. This gives them both a chance to look long and hard at their relationship. It is much more involved than that, however, and it was at this point I found myself beginning to really get into the story. It started becoming very interesting as I read about how each person started learning more about themselves and decided to change. It was really way past time for them, and I enjoyed reading about all the choices, good and bad, they made. Finally! Some growth!

Overall, this was a well written story, and I enjoyed the writing style of the author. She has a voice that entertains and keeps the reader interested. This wasn’t an easy read, and sometimes wasn’t pleasant, but it offers a bit of a message to us all and does have a worthwhile and satisfying ending — something I wasn’t sure the author would be able to accomplish, but she pulled it off! Nicely done, Ms. Mulligan.

What if the only way you could save your own life was to kill yourself?

Someone is trying to kill Sophie Rippetoe, and she has no place to hide. But Sophie has a unique option. Her husband designed and built a duplicator machine to make exact copies of complicated and sophisticated machine parts. She knows how the duplicator works.

Will it work for people? No one knows.

Some narcotics and also alcohol can cause low self-esteem as the relationship take a big hit. levitra pharmacy There’s just one problem: the duplication process destroys the original. The only thing Sophie knows for sure is that trying to make copies of herself will end up killing her.

Sophie isn’t sure who’s trying to kill her or why – but she has her suspicions and has gathered some evidence. She has created a trail of clues, hopeful that at least one of the Sophies she creates will figure out who the killer is in time to save herself.

Sometimes death isn’t the end of an adventure. It’s the beginning.

Ms. Nelson did a good job at drawing out the individuality of Sophie’s copies. Despite the fact that they share identical DNA and memories I never had any problems telling any of the new Sophies apart from one another. The best scenes in this book explore how each Sophie reacts to the very strange situation she has awoken into.

I would have preferred to see more time spent developing the motive of the antagonist in this piece. The reasons that were provided were never quite satisfactory for this reader due to how they are described. The omission of certain facts made it difficult for me to determine if I was encountering plot holes or if there were other explanations for why the antagonist behaves in certain ways.

The pacing in this novel was also well done. It begins with a bang and refuses to let up until the last word is wrung out from the final paragraph. I was not expecting the mystery to be so integrated into the science fiction elements of this tale, but the ways in which these genres are seamlessly blended together make it difficult to stop reading.

All of Us Were Sophie is a genre-bending thriller that I wish I could experience again for the first time. I would particularly recommend it to long-term fans of science fiction or mysteries who are interested in trying out a new genre. This book is a good introduction to either one.

Stacey McKinney returned to her home town to escape a stalker. When people around her turn up dead, she fears he’s found her. Is the maniac keeping his threat by killing off anyone who gets close to her?

A different kind of risk is also in town. The man who broke her heart has also come home. Their attraction is stronger and hotter than ever, but he walked away once. Will he do it again?

When Stacey goes missing, a search proves her stalker had followed her to Oak Hill. But he’s dead. Who killed him? And who has Stacey?

Stacey’s problems are multiplying by the minute.

Ms. Alexander packed a lot of history into a rather short book. Stacey’s fear and frustration are palpable, giving the story a real sense of urgency. I found myself racing through the pages wondering just how many people wanted Stacey dead. The list of likely suspects is short, but can Stacey and Cash look beyond their painful past in time to save Stacey’s life?

At first, Stacey and Cash are a complicated couple, but once they clear up a major misunderstanding, their relationship progresses very quickly. Since Stacey and Cash have a long history, I found it easy to believe they would become serious so soon. They make a great couple and certainly have chemistry to burn.

I do wish Stacey and Cash had been a bit more rounded. Stacey struck me as the typical rich girl trying to get out from under her father’s thumb. Cash is the classic poor boy trying to make it on his own and prove his worth. While I really enjoyed the plot of their story, Stacey and Cash never really moved beyond being character types in my mind. Despite this issue, Stacey and Cash are likable, and I enjoyed watching them reconnect.

While I managed to figure out who was behind Stacey’s disappearance, I was blindsided by the culprit’s motivation. Ms. Alexander revealed a huge twist right at the end of the story that I found confusing and a bit out of place. Despite this issue, I think the conclusion as a whole was satisfying, if a bit odd.

Someone to Watch Over Me is intense and fast paced. Looking for a fun book to spend the afternoon with? Someone to Watch Over Me might be the romantic suspense for you.

Julia’s irritated when she’s stopped on a country road by a cop when she wasn’t even speeding. When the cop turns out to be Dennis, the deputy she’s lusted after since she met him, annoyance is the last thing she’s feeling. Her hormones go haywire and she lets her desire for a “dirty cop to have his way with her” be known.

Everything’s going just great, until she finds out her brother-in-law put him up to it. Then, fantasy or not, she wants nothing more to do with him. Too bad her dangerous deputy has no interest in letting her get away.

This was a fun, sexy read that wasted no time introducing the hero and heroine and the overall plot. Dennis, AKA, the Dangerous Deputy, comes across as a real man, and a nice guy so it’s not hard to dislike him. Julia, is down on her luck and just when you think things couldn’t get worse, Dennis is the knight in shining armor.

The dialogue is very natural sounding and the plot moves at a clip, but what I liked most about this short read was it wasn’t one sex scene after another. There’s some talking, some walking, and some cuddling while watching a movie. It helped build the sexual tension and made the sex scenes that much more worthwhile reading (and waiting for).

If you like cops as heroes, and enjoy a short erotic read then I think you might enjoy story of the Dangerous Deputy.

Visola was curled up in her corner of the tiny space. She stared at Vachlan’s back as she played with a small knife. Her leg was probably well enough to walk on for a few miles, but she did not think he deserved to know this. No, he would have to keep on carrying her until they reached a city.

“Are you thinking about killing me?” Vachlan asked gruffly. He yawned and stretched, having just awoken.

“Yep,” Visola said in a chipper tone as she toyed with spinning the dagger between them. Occasionally it would point west at him, and occasionally it would point east toward her. Occasionally it would point north or south at neither of them. Continuously, when it stopped, she would consider what it meant with respect to fate, and whether fate was guiding her to take action, or to just continue being useless. A voice teased her internally. You have never gone beneath the truth. You cannot navigate the endless fathoms of forgiveness. She was reminded of the fact that she had felt somewhat comfortable and safe when Vachlan had been her clear-cut, straightforward enemy, and now that he was showing her tenderness she was becoming increasingly confused.

“So why don’t you just do it?” he asked.

“Need you to carry me around. Can’t move on my own—leg smashed.”

Gray werewolf Tom Silver is determined to find the wolves who have been attacking local livestock. While tracking the pack through the Rockies, a blizzard forces him into a remote cabin where he hears a plane crash nearby.

Silence of the Wolf kept my interest by making sure I was confounded, intrigued and fascinated. Were the bad guys really bad or were they coerced? Who can the heroine trust? Is the good guy really who she thought or has he gone to the dark side? All those questions and more came from an exciting and entertaining plot which insured I could not stop reading once I started.

The part of the conflict that involves Elizabeth, the heroine, packs a punch. It’s twofold in that it covers both an internal and external element. The very same people who are making trouble stem from the same environment that made the heroine feel bad about who and what she was. She didn’t trust easily and she’s stubborn too, which is a good thing in this book. I liked seeing her not only learn to trust, but to believe in herself, and feel comfortable in her own skin, whether it be furry or human. All that growth and acceptance became possible when she met the hero, Tom.

Watching Tom eventually fall in love with Elizabeth was a treat. The author made it fun, sometimes silly but romantic all the way. When they finally get together, it’s magic. That’s due in large part because I really enjoyed the dynamics between both hero and heroine and that could only be possible because of the solid writing of Ms. Spear. Her characters are well-rounded, likeable and enchanting. Well, the good guys are anyway.

The bad guys were used to good affect because they ratcheted up the tension, the suspense and the drama, forcing the protagonists to show their best and worst sides under duress. Eventually Tom and Elizabeth emerge victorious, but not before a lot of action and heroism happen first. As for the villains, I felt bad for a couple of them because they were more true underdogs than meanies. I hope they can be redeemed because there’s something there in the way Ms. Spear wrote them that makes me think so. In fact, if I’m not mistaken, the healing has begun but my question is – where will it lead? The author shared enough about the guys to make me interested and that’s a good thing.

There are other important secondary characters that help flavor the tone of the book and many are from previous books in the series. The good thing, however, is that a new reader will be just fine reading this as a standalone. It’s complete and engaging for fans and newbies alike.

Silence of the Wolf has it all. This book has a wonderful well laid out plot, characters I enjoyed reading about and dialogue that captured the emotions behind the characters. Ms. Spear is one of my go-to authors when I want to escape with a book guaranteed to entertain. Silence of the Wolf is that and more. It’s a must read.

Dying is overrated. Murder is not.

That’s what Detective Oliver Tucker used to think. Not now. He’s dead—murdered—and back as an earth-bound spirit to help his wife, Professor Angela Tucker, crack the most important case of his life—his own.

But, this is not a ghost story; it’s a murder case.
In the modern times, with the fast development of high-end science and technology and advanced digital products, all remote control cars should have better performance, which discount cialis canada couldn’t be simply described by fast speeding. In most countries, infertility refers to a couple having failed to purchase cheap cialis conceive after 12 months of regular sexual intercourse without using any birth control methods.
Tuck knows why he is back among the living but not one of them—Detective Solve Thyself. Perhaps he was murdered because of his last case—a murder involving a retired mob boss, a local millionaire land developer, a New York hit man, and the local university elite. Or could it be that Bear Braddock, his best friend and partner for more than fifteen years, wants Angela? Tuck knows that everything surrounds Kelly’s Dig where the discovery of Civil War graves may put an end to a multi-million dollar highway project. If it does, who stands to gain the most? Enough to kill?

Using his unique skills, Tuck weaves through half-truths and generations-old lies chasing a madman. And he’s not alone—others, dead and alive—are hunting the same killer. Still nothing can change the truth—it is the living, not the dead, who are most terrifying.

Dying to Know is a clever murder-mystery with a twist: the victim, a police detective, is investigating his OWN murder.

‘Tuck” Tucker discovers the myriad of limitations of ghostly life to be an annoyance when investigating, although of course, there is the odd benefit too. Just how friendly is his heartbroken wife Angela, with his own old Partner and best Friend Bear Braddock? He can see what Bear is investigating but can’t always see exactly what he wants. Hercule, his dog, is the only one that seems able to see or hear him.

The Captain, a couple of sleazy cops, heck, even other ghosts are believable enough, but at times… mystery fans will find circumstances that stretch the bounds of the plausible. The pace of the story keeps you interested though; you are, in fact, dying to know. It is in no way tough to keep reading. By the time you have some doubts, you pretty much share Tuck’s suspicions and are reviewing every single clue in your mind.

In this story, clues are mostly events. They are happenings that Tuck experiences or sees, and has to try to decipher. Human interaction is evaluated, but within Tuck’s limitations. He’s not able to open doors or go places at will, so his investigation is a struggle. The value of his investigation becomes clearer (and more important) as the story moves forward, because he’s likely not the only victim.

Dying to Know kicks off with a shock: “Someone killed me – murdered me in my own home.” O’Connor’s dramatic start leads us into an intriguing puzzle. Yes, at times incredible, but the mystery itself is well done, the writing beautiful and the story overall haunting, charming, and engaging. Do read
