Can the goddess of sexuality teach a man that life can be full of love or will his past hurts be too much to overcome?

Aeval, the Irish goddess of sexuality, has been sent to Earth by the Dagda, the Lord of All Things, to find a mortal to love her. If she does not find true love within twenty-one days, she will perish. She has great gifts: the gift of invisibility, the gift of telepathy, and the gift to show husbands how to sexually satisfy their wives completely, but even with her great powers, she struggles to survive among the Earthbound. As if navigating the world of mortals isn’t difficult enough, she has to face her father’s arch enemy.

Andrew, a talented musician and the man of her dreams, has impenetrable defenses. He is enthralled with Aeval, but unwilling to give her his love because he has been deeply hurt and he has no intention of letting that happen again.

Aeval and Andrew find themselves in a battle of hearts and wills that only true love will conquer.

Will Aeval be able to break down Andrew’s defenses and will she be able to save him from Baylor’s twisted scheme? Or will the Banshee cry in mourning for Andrew?

I let my imagination wander when I chose this story. I was curious to know what lay behind the title The Lady of Sexuality. Perhaps it was the of a sulphurous dominatrix or of a sexologist. To discover it was the first volume of a series on the Daughters of the Dagda. Aeval is the Irish goddess of sexuality who has become a mortal woman and must find love in order to survive.

The adventures of Aeval take an interesting turn when the goddess lives as an attractive sexotherapist and discovers for herself the emotions women live through as they fall in love : loss of control, despair, doubt, perserverance.

I enjoyed the challenges faced by this woman. That is, consulting a doctor immediately when you see your relationship getting spoiled due to best generic viagra miscommunication or negative communication. A woman who lost her power and control over mortals. A woman who must learn humility and who must show a selfless love. In short, a woman who must learn to really love.

Love seems to be the most difficult step. It’s a step that means surrendering. Aeval discovers and accepts losing control over humans and the man that her heart desires : Andrew. The story of how she comes to this step is a beautiful challenge. It’s a wonderful story of redemption and abnegation that any woman would dream about.

Author Interview: Marsha Hubbard-Norton

The Long and the Short of It is very pleased to have Marsha Hubbard-Norton with us this week. Marsha was born in a small town in Oklahoma and has been writing since she was twelve. Her twenty-one year old aunt used to read the old Harlequins, and Marsha would write the same sort of love stories. She received degrees in journalism, marketing and management, and counseling. She worked for the state of Oklahoma for five years before she left to pursue her dream of writing. The mother of two and grandmother of three, she currently lives in Del City, Oklahoma with her significant other.

She told me she works on several things at one time, because “I am a writer who seems to have so much flowing through her brain.” The latest things she is working on is a paranormal romance and a non-fiction about the city she lives in. “The most important thing is starting my own publishing company where I will publish under my own ISBN and company name.”

She and her grandson were talking late one night. She had just come back to Oklahoma after travelling fifty-two hours and he was a sleepless five-year-old. “I saw a picture of some flowers and a little monkey came to my mind and so I told him the story of a little monkey who could fit in his hand. The next week I wrote it up and published it.” And so Marsha’s first book was born.

Marsha’s life, especially since opening her publishing company, Twin Sisters Publishing, really revolves around writing. And when I asked her what she likes to do when she’s not writing, she told me, “I do research my for next book and surf the net a lot. And when I am not working on my books I am reading and editing others’ works.”

We wish her all the luck in the world with her new publishing endeavor. She’s had a couple of horrible experiences in her life she would erase if she could. “The first one, which seemed to hurt the most, was seeing my seventeen-year-old son go to prison for five years. The second was losing my identical twin sister to cancer. She was a part of me and knew me like no other. She was too young to go.”

If she could know the future, she would love to know what happens with her children. “Even though they are grown,” she said, “they seem to be in one mess after another. I also want to know my grandchildren grow up happy, safe, and secure.”

I asked Marsha which of her six books she considers her favorite. “I would like to say them all,” she confessed, “but if I had to pick I would say Love Is For All Ages, a book I dreamed. It takes place in Maine, where I lived for five years. I miss it.”

I also asked her what stereotype she would label herself as. “This is a pet peeve of mine,” she said, “as I would like to think I am not stereotypical, nor do I stereotype, but I guess you could say a liberal thinking radical.”

If Marsha could wish for anything, she told me she would like a genie to give her three wishes. “Safety , happiness, and health for my grandchildren, children, and sisters. For my writing to become more popular and my business to flourish. And many years with the man I met on an internet dating site.”

The story itself has just enough about both of their lives and their sexual encounters to keep it interesting. Also, I love that it is based on fortune telling and tarot – very unique and unusual. The first scene at the fair was quite intriguing and very steamy – something I might be tempted to fantasize about myself. I would definitely like to read more by this author.

Colin Dobson has everything he ever imagined — excitement, travel, and night after night of possessive passion with his new lover, Rowland Campbell. Safe in the arms of his vampire lover, for the first time in his life the sheltered young hemophiliac has nothing to fear.

There’s only one thing marring their perfect relationship. Colin is finding it increasingly difficult to sleep with a corpse — until an unexpected trip to a mystical tattoo parlor and a run-in with an old nemesis puts things into perspective.

The first Enthralled had a fairly predictable plot: vampire meets boy, vampire and boy have hot, sweaty man-sex, and vampire and boy fall in love. There’s nothing wrong with that story, but we’ve all read it before. And yet, there’s devilment in the details. When Laura Baumbach writes this plot it involves a vampire crashing into a suicidal hemophiliac who tries to trick him into granting him death, the vampire is actually pretty damned evil, and secretly half-believes that death-wish boy might be his route to salvation. Really, when’s the last time you’ve read that story? The standard tropes of paranormal erotic romance merely seem to provide a framework for a haunting dance between two badly damaged souls. I still find myself thinking about it, for all its simplicity.

So, I was looking forward to reading the sequel. Breathing focuses on Rowland and Colin’s relationship, and what both of them will have to face to be together. As readers, we never get to see any stagnation or agitation in their daily routine, but through Colin we experience the distress and worry that comes from wondering if a commitment is a mistake. The story takes place over one danger-filled night, which brings all of Colin’s doubts and fears to a crisis point. This herbal supplement offers effective cheapest levitra generic treatment for male infertility. Now, with PDE5 inhibition, sildenafil sale the body releases nitric oxide, a chemical that increases blood flow by dilating blood vessels and relaxing penile muscles. Two such drugs that we will put to cialis tablets for sale test here are Malegra DXT Plus and Kamagra. This recreational use of the icks.org viagra spain drug by younger men still needs to be debated and studied by authorities.Though it’s a definite that the drug has no cumulative properties. It really is a simple story, but it is also a meditation on the pleasures and problems of being owned, without the intrusion of morality or politics. This is really refreshing, but Baumbach seems to think that her readers will not understand subtext or visual cues, and so she constantly breaks the “show, don’t tell” rule of writing. Possessive is a favorite word, and is overused to the point of annoyance. It should be obvious to all readers from Rowland’s behavior that he believes Colin belongs to him, and that Colin loves that he belongs to Rowland. There is really no need to constantly remind the reader of this by spelling it out. The recurring symbol of breathing and lack of breath is also dealt with in a slightly heavy-handed way, which is a shame because it really is a beautiful theme and ties the story together. And while Baumbach’s descriptions of emotion ring true, her descriptions of sex and its choreography show a lack of research or even accurate visualization. Unrealistic anal sex is a pet peeve of mine, and Baumbach is a shameless offender.

In the end, while Breathing is not as good as Enthralled was, it still focuses on some truly beautiful and intriguing themes. Breathing outlines the struggle to trust one’s lover, the owner of one’s soul, and to accept his imperfections. In this respect, the story still holds its poignancy and flavor, and should be read by anyone who fell in love with Colin and Rowland or is a sucker for an unconventional love-affair.

Ryan is pretty happy working as a Park Ranger and living with his big bear of a lover, Loyal. The one thing he misses is a pack of his own. He’s a werewolf, and everyone knows wolves are social creatures, right? When a new pack moves in on his territory, Ryan hopes they’ll play nice.

The new pack in town has been burned before, and Kamen and the others aren’t sure if they want anything to do with Ryan and his bear. They’re willing to live and let live, but when Loyal gets kidnapped, will the pack throw in with Ryan and help save him?

I enjoyed this book a great deal. It made me laugh and it made me sigh… and that’s quite a bit to get from a really short story.

Ryan and Loyal are two of the most endearing shifters I think I’ve ever run across. Ryan is earnest and quite a bit like a puppy begging for attention, while Loyal is methodical and solitary except for his lover, his love, Ryan. Where Ryan wants, no needs the socialization that comes from being within a pack, Loyal is perfectly content with it being just him and Ryan. I simply adored these two, and loved watching their interactions with one another. Their loving banter, as well as the love play between them had me grinning on more than one occasion. They really were quite obvious in their adoration of each other, and it made my heart melt.

While this story was mainly about Ryan and Loyal, it was also about characters that have apparently been in previous stories by this author. These tablets work well in combination prices for cialis with any other medication as combination of two machines Another great advantage of using these machines is to note that there are actually two machines in one. While I loved getting to know these other people, shifters and magical creatures… I did feel a bit left behind when it came to knowing their stories and how they came to be in their pack. I didn’t know much about how they wound up in the relationships they have all found themselves in within said pack. That and the sometimes stilted narrative are the only reasons that I can’t bring myself to give this book a higher rating.

Aside from those issues named above, I did truly enjoy this book. The plot moved rather smoothly from one point to the next, and read rather quickly. I enjoyed the verbal playing that most of the characters throughout the entire story engaged in. I found that Ms. Talbot has a witty sense of humor in her writing that has me wanting to read more of her work. This was a fun read about a romance that has already begun, but now needs to be saved. A delightful quick read that will leave you with a smile and maybe a couple of chuckles. A definite recommend on my part.

The Roof by Selena Kitt

I want to escape the smell of garbage and grease.

After tossing the bag into the dumpster, I wipe my hands on my uniform and pull off my red and yellow visor, letting my dark blonde hair escape from its ponytail.

The ascent to the roof is like breathing again. The muscles in my legs protest as I climb to the top. It is a cool paradise up here compared to the stagnant summer haze on the ground. It’s so quiet—I can actually hear traffic lights click as they turn from green, to yellow, to red, with no cars left to heed them at quarter to three in the morning.

Josh’s cigarette winks at me from the corner. I reach my arms out to the sky and twirl, making myself dizzy before sinking to the asphalt roof top. He laughs, but doesn’t come to me. Not yet.
I lay there unbuttoning my uniform. There is no getting away from the fetid smell of fries and hamburgers without taking off my clothes. Only when I am free, laying there in my bra and panties, the sharp bite of gravel pressing into my back—then, Josh comes over and stretches out beside me, hands behind his head.

“Beautiful.”

“Me or the sky?”

“Yes.”

I am smiling as he rolls onto me, already nearly nude. He presses his lower body against me, moving slightly, and I watch his eyes grow hungry. He wants what I want—we are both greedy to get lost in it.

As he kisses me, his mouth rough, I slide a small, warm hand inside his underwear. A soft sound escapes his throat as he trails his mouth over my neck.

“Sara,” he whispers as my hand moves faster. I gasp when he lets his full weight press into me, lean and hard against my softness. His hand trails down and finds me, and I sigh, rocking with it, on a cloud far away in the darkness.

When pulls my panties aside and nudges against me, I open to him. He moves forward, into me, and my hands go to his hips.

The delicious friction builds up and up. We are cool water and rain, together—every part of us liquid at the center. We are trickles expanding into streams, flowing toward rivers. Then, we become the ocean, every wave carrying the sweet potential to carry us toward shore.

I am floating beyond my own borders, bleeding past the boundaries of my flesh, swirling into a sweet vortex of calm and chaos where only he can take me. I have been here before, in his arms, on this roof, but I am not really here at all. I am stardust—a bright, gentle hum under the brilliant light and heat of him.

Up and up, I feel my climax coming and work towards it. It’s like my escape to the roof, a climb toward the stars. His breathing is shallow and harsh as I move beneath him, gasping, grasping, my nails digging into the skin of his back. Our bodies merge, and we are just slippery flesh slapping together in the quiet night, a wet, sticky coupling on the roof—and yet, we are more than that in every breath, one more miracle, not apart or separate from each other or anything in that moment.

His motion becomes fluid and he opens his eyes, looking at me. I feel like I can look up through him and see the stars.

I cry out and my muscles tighten and begin to contract as I shiver beneath him. My breath sucks in and I clutch him, feeling him let go, the force shuddering through him in waves. It is the moment I long for and dread, every time I make this climb toward heaven. I am lost in the blissful pulse, the rhythmic heartbeat of it all, but it is only for a moment. It ebbs as quickly as it has come, and now I can only feel our hearts beating together in our sticky chests, slightly off-rhythm and off-center now.

He loses his breath for a moment, falling forward onto me, still trembling and burying his face into the side of my neck. I stroke his hair, damp with sweat and redolent with grease.

There is no escaping it, even up here.

A healer’s heart:
Not even for Paladin can Llaryn walk away from someone in need. The price of healing is high but the payoff is great and with Paladin as her mate she can do anything.

A protector’s plan:
Paladin won’t let anyone harm Llaryn, not even herself. He’ll use whatever means he has to keep her safe… from sex to relocation and seclusion.

Nowhere is safe:
An attempt to abduct Llaryn goes awry and Paladin’s life is forfeit. Only Llaryn can save him; only he can save her and in saving each other the legend of their love is born.

Oh, wow, this was an amazing book and I have nothing but good things to say about it. For a short story that comes at the end of a series, it packed a lot of punch.

Llaryn is a healer. She has never known anything else, but now she finds that her life no longer only revolves around healing, but around a man: Paladin. She has found herself mated to man that isn’t an easy man to love much less be mated to. Llaryn seemed to very delicate and yet, I got a very strong sense of her strength. Paladin was able to “rule” her because she allowed it… just don’t tell him that. She was great fun to watch as she tried to sort out her place in Paladin’s world. Her love for her man simply jumped from the pages and I had no choice but to respect her and root for her from the start of this story to the very last line.

Paladin is a leader. He has never known anything else, but now he finds that his life is revolving around a tiny little healer that seems to hold said heart in the palm of her hand. Your uterus will also tend to tilt (usually to the right) causing the ligament to spasm and resulting in a weak libido, gain in body weight, irregular sleep patterns, generic tadalafil cheap anxiety and moodiness. Paladin seemed to have all the attributes that I just love in a hero. He was strong, and dominant, assured of his strength and power, except where Llaryn was concerned. Paladin was a truly sigh-worthy hero who tugged at my heart as well as my libido.

Angelina Evans is a truly refreshing voice in the Sci-fi Erotic Romance genre. Binding Llaryn was spell-binding, which took me by surprise. I didn’t expect to be so completely enthralled with such a short story. As has often happened in the past, I came into this series with the very last book. But, unlike the past, I didn’t feel at all lost. That in and of itself is a true statement of this author’s talent; her world-building was so very solid that not once did I feel like I was missing something. Even being dropped into the middle of a well-established world and plot, I found that both were so well-written that the only reason to truly read the previous books is to get the beginning and middle of this story… and because I’m nosey. I have to see how these two met, and what brought forth this amazing and truly touching love. A great read that I highly recommend. I look forward to reading the beginning of Paladin and Llaryn’s love.

For the crime of belonging to the wrong family, Disa is banished to a desert planet for twenty years. When a man comes to her as a mirage, she thinks she’s lost her mind. Paullus’s species disappears without social contact. The sexy shape-shifter has only one chance to seduce the woman he’s been watching. If he succeeds, they can spend her sentence exploring sensuality together.

Warning: Contains Shifter sex scenes some readers may find disturbing.

Heat Stroke: Banished is a very quick read and one that condenses a ‘meet and greet’ life saving event, a hot and sensual cure and optimism for a better future.

Disa is a woman who has spent months alone and is very afraid that her punishment is truly going to be worse than death. Like a stranded wanderer in the Sahara, mirages remind Disa what she’s lost and what she may never have again. The weight of despair is palpable.

Paullus’ dilemma is that death is a surety. Despite his fears, his desire to live causes him to make one last desperate choice – to reach out to another and risk final rejection of not only his heart but his life.

These two characters could have hated each other or mistrusted each other so easily. But the will to live, to survive, to beat the odds that want to destroy them is a strong fire that burns within each of them. It allows Disa and Paullus to embrace their unvarnished and base desires – one of which is quite different.

I know of certain cultures in today’s world where sexual exploits do not preclude inter-specie dabbling. These are some of the brand cialis online most efficient home remedies for blocked nose. Since this story takes place in outer space, mores are different and stringent protocols are bent. Paullus is a shifter and he gives Disa’s deepest erotic thoughts a glimpse of reality. She knows what it could be, she’s seen it on her home world, but never indulged. This story makes me wonder; if you trusted your lover, if you had feelings for him/her, how far would you be comfortable in experimenting? Where would you draw the line? I was comfortable with this scene because at one point I felt what she saw was an illusion. The mind is a pretty powerful tool and can interpret things as one would wish, not necessarily as they were. I kind of think Paullus was that smart. He knew the line and danced the fine edge. Because of my interpretation, I enjoyed this story.

If you like to flirt with the wild side then Banished is a story that will take you there. It will also leave you with the feeling that Disa and Paullus’ HEA is a given –a must for any romance story, no matter how short.

Having just been evicted for what his landlord calls “immoral and unnatural carnal acts,” Gilrain is forced to move into the first elf-friendly building he finds — even if that means renting a basement apartment that has more in common with a cellar than a penthouse.

Still, a change of scenery is just what Gil needs. He’s still not sure whether what he experienced the previous night was a dream or a real encounter. What he does know is that he woke with bruises, love bites, kiss-swollen lips… and an eviction notice on his door.

But when the first night in his new apartment brings strands of a spectral song drifting from beneath the ground straight into his bedroom, Gil realizes he’ll find no rest here. He recognizes an elf binding when he feels one, but he won’t be taken against his will.

So what will Gil do when he learns he’s the only one who can grant a wounded elf a second chance… or condemn him to everlasting damnation?

Bound by Melody certainly hooked me with the blurb about two elves. I’d never read anything quite like this story and took a chance on reading it.

The idea of Gil being from a race of predator elves was cool. What made his character sympathetic was his drive and determination not to succumb to his nature. Nature is hard to beat when it’s throbbing and seducing you from outside influences. Talk about tortured. Just like the cialis tadalafil online kamagra effervescent tablets you can consume Kamagra Jelly with ease. And, the reason Gil got evicted hit my funny bone. I giggled at the visual imagery.

Arion is a different kind of elf who has been cursed and not only is he another tortured hero, he WAS tortured. Arion is a more complex character where I alternated between not liking him and then rooting for him. By the time the story ended, Arion had a place in my affections.

The secondary character, Cordelia, is not too detailed but she’s given enough flesh to make her involvement and feelings believable so her actions fit when they affected the plot.

This short story is more about internal conflict, reconciliation, forgotten dreams and hopes, and the surprising way love can touch the most wary of lovers. The dialogue flowed well and the concept was entertaining. Some of the erotic scenes are manly and aggressive and since Gil is what he his…I think anything less would have been unbelievable. Now, I am wondering if there is more on the horizon for Gil and Arion.

If you are looking for an M/M story with a different flavor, then Bound by Melody has much to offer. It will also make for a hot summer read.
