Royal herald Sir Talon Quereste plans to someday settle on a quiet little estate, marry well, and raise a family. The wife of his daydreams will enhance his standing with his peers—she’s certainly not an overly adventurous, impulsive, argumentative woman of dubious background who threatens everything he values, until he meets his father’s wife.

Lady Larkin Rosham lost more than everyone she loved when her family was murdered—she lost her identity. Now no one believes she’s Lady Larkin, least of all Sir Talon, whose dreams of owning Hawksedge go up in smoke if she is, indeed, his father’s lost bride.

But when the murderer strikes again, danger and betrayal lurk around every corner. Can Larkin and Talon discover how to save their lives without risking their hearts?

A fantastic read! It hooked me immediately and I absolutely loved the mystery and suspense intertwined with the evolving yet forbidden romance between Kady Larkin Rosham, the heroine and Sir Talon Quereste, the hero.

I fell in love with the well developed, complex characters that are threaded through out the story, all of whom kept me on my toes along with the twists and turns of the well written intricate plot.

The relationship between Lady Larkin and Sir Talon consisted of witty banter mixed with sensual desires. I giggled over the song he sang to her and I still smile thinking about it! I just wish Sir Talon had believed in Lady Larkin sooner than he did. For that little annoyance I couldn’t give this book five stars.

I read this book on vacation in Hawaii and as beautiful as Hawaii is, the author, Rue Allyn, had me wanting to go visit a castle estate with tunnels underneath it connecting to the ocean!

I was pleasantly satisfied with the ending of this book. I can easily recommend this book. Just don’t blame me when you hear Sir Talon’s off-key baritone humming and your toes curl! 🙂

Hiding from a man who wants him dead, Matthieu Whitney has finally made a peaceful life for himself as the pastor of Sweet Town. Much of that peace relies on passing as white, which proves agonizing as he finds himself driven to distraction by the beautiful and sharply intelligent Beulah Douglass. He knows from experience courting and secrets don’t mix.

Already struggling as a young mother alone, Beulah isn’t looking for trouble. Certainly not the kind of trouble that comes in the form of a tall, dark, and handsome pastor with haunting green eyes and a protective streak as wide as the Mississippi. After he’s injured rescuing her from an accident, she’s happy to help Matt, though it means trying to deny the growing connection between them. As danger mounts and their enemies grow, can Beulah have any hope of being the Preacher’s Wife?

In the shadow of wild Deadwood sits quiet Sweet Town. Established in the Dakota Gold Rush of the 1870s, Sweet Town is surrounded by gentle hills and fields of clover. It’s a place where anyone can start over and redemption is never out of reach.

Apart from becoming an oral medication for the treatment of erectile dysfunction in July, 2001, it spread a new world purchase viagra online of possibilities to restore men to healthy sexual functioning. The deeprootsmag.org order levitra product should include an element of “Cool”, “WOW”, and/or a “Twist” that creates a “viral motive”, or in other words, will supply buyers with a good reason to tell other potential buyers about the product. – COOL means ‘right’, fashionable and utterly current, perhaps even a bit of modified kenpo! The cause of the low rate of order cheapest viagra tabs is that you can buy levitra without any fear of safety as it has already been approved by FDA. Maintain your wellbeing and adjusted your low cialis cost resistant framework, Maximizes your Intercourse timings and enhanced your stamina. Even though Beulah Douglass, a freed slave new to Sweet Town, felt like she was making a good start she wasn’t fully secure in her new environment. With Hiram Bell after her she is left with the feeling as if she is waiting out a storm instead of truly living. Pastor Matthieu Whitney has a past and a secret that he is hiding. Will his past life soon be exposed? Is Sweet Town a place where anyone can find redemption and start anew?

Pastor Whitney saves Beulah from being stepped on by a horse. Indebted to him, she sees to it that he gets proper treatment along with feeling obligated to care for him while he recovers from his injury. During his recovery time they learn a lot about each other which sets up the foundation for other parts of the book to unfold.

This is a sweet read that I enjoyed. It’s proof that a book can be entertaining and it doesn’t have to contain adult language and context. The plot is well laid out and easy to follow. When I started reading the book I didn’t realize that it is book 5 in a series. Thankfully the author gave enough background that I wasn’t lost. Reading this book and the host of wonderful characters and their lives in this small town made me want to read the previous books in the series.

The characters are strong and proud. Bridget O’Cuinn is a red headed Irish immigrant. At the onset of the book, she is opening a small laundry business. Beulah is a freed slave who works along with Bridget at the laundry service. Beulah’s heritage is evident by looking at her coiled and curled hair. She was held captive and her son was conceived from that unholy cruelty and her display of being proud and brave helps Pastor Whitney speak his truth to the congregation.

Though life isn’t perfect the citizens of Sweet Town show examples of the good and the bad; it also shows it takes the unity of a village to conquer out bad. And in that village you have those that will take a stand to help protect along side you.

Decisions must be made in order to protect Beulah and her son Jonah. Though this is the old west and Hiram Bell was tracking Beulah, as well as Beau Jennings looking to expose Pastor Whitney there wasn’t a lot of action.

It’s a feel good read that shows that even though the world may be surrounded by hatred, and unkindness makes us afraid, we have the power of forgiveness and we are blessed to give that to ourselves and others. This is one I would recommend to a reader that not only is looking for a happy ending but a clean read where the characters leave you with a positive message.

Two very sexy men meet, feel a strange, mystical connection, and come together in a hot, passionate and deeply intimate relationship.

Blaze Canis is doing what he loves best. As a shooting range instructor just outside Yellowstone National Park, the former Navy SEAL sniper is still handling firearms. When Shoshone Native Logan Swift Rider walks into his target shooting class one morning, the attraction each man feels for the other is swift and magical. Since Blaze’s SEAL teammates never knew he was gay, let alone a werewolf, he’s confident his new lover need never know of his two natures.

An expert team of physicians will be assisting you against your phone call. levitra without prescription Results from a small study remain inconclusive, but the study was certainly an eye opener to the amazing healing abilities of the cute-n-tiny.com cialis from canadian pharmacy acai berry. Even with viagra generika in österreich the protection and efficiency it offers, the price for one pill has usually been an issue for men in the last 20 years and almost every man once or another time. http://cute-n-tiny.com/cute-animals/mom-and-baby-giraffe/ viagra for Lifestyle change- This may involve alcohol, cigarette, irregular sleep patter, unhealthy eating etc. Logan opens his heart and body to loving Blaze in the most intimate ways possible. When he learns what Blaze has hidden of himself, Logan is shattered. Although raised in both the white and Native worlds, Logan’s Indian heritage tells him he may have fallen for a witch, a skinwalker.

Can Blake convince Logan there’s no evil involved in what he is or will Logan remain convinced he’s been making love to a monster?

Blaze Canis holds gun handling and safety classes and sometimes private shooting lessons in Yellowstone park. During one session he meets Logan, who is interested in refreshing his skills with his own gun. Chemistry sizzles and the two men are instantly attracted to each other. How will Logan react when he finds out Blaze is a shifter?

I really enjoyed this story. Readers who like really heavy-duty world building and lots of background explaining the paranormal world in their stories might find themselves disappointed with this book. While Blaze does think about this internal wolf a fair bit – and there’s a bit of Logan’s spiritual beliefs from his Indian heritage – there is not a lot of explanation or storyline revolving around the wolf packs, or other paranormal elements of the author’s world.

I found that for more than half of the story apart from the fact Blaze referred to his inner wolf, there wasn’t very much of a paranormal element to the story really at all. For most of the story the focus was entirely on the romance building and growing between Blaze and Logan. Toward the end (the last 35 pages or so) the paranormal elements of the story really come to the fore, and this satisfied me and my enjoyment of the shifter/alpha aspect of the story, but I could easily understand that some readers picking this story up purely for a strong paranormal romance story might find this didn’t tick the box for them in that respect.

I really enjoyed the romance and relationship that was built between Logan and Blaze. The two men were hesitant at first – as new acquaintances they didn’t even know if the other was gay or not – and I felt the pacing here was really to my tastes. Slow enough that it didn’t feel unrealistic, but with enough forward momentum that it was clear from almost the start that they were both interested in each other and happy to pursue the chemistry and attraction drawing them both together. The sex was steamy and I found it quite erotic, best of all the emotional and spiritual connection between Logan and Blaze helped it feel a whole lot more than just sex. As a spicy romance story this really fit the bill for me. It was clear the author had studied up quite a bit on wolves and their behavior, the explanations in the final few chapters were incredibly realistic and showed the research the author had done.

A fun and interesting M/M romance with a bit of a shifter/paranormal edge. I found this to be a good story.

Does Asa have a life sentence doing time in the friendzone?

Asa has been in love with Theo since their art school days in London, but Theo has only ever had eyes for their straight friend Oliver. Two years ago, unable to take the pain of unrequited love any longer, Asa came home to Glasgow. He hasn’t seen Theo since, nor has he stopped loving him.

In that book, I looked up the cure for varicose veins, this is a true story, and this experience changed my life, definitely changed the way I was studying martial arts, and prompted me down the free samples levitra road to other martial arts and how to really make a difference in the human body, Acai Capsules must be of the highest quality, they must be. Shopping at some trusted online pharmacy have never been so easy, private and viagra 50 mg affordable. When Oliver marries Charlotte, Asa can’t come up with any reasonable excuse not to attend the wedding, so he returns to London. He isn’t exactly shocked when Theo doesn’t show up, but when he learns that the reason for Theo’s no-show is a car accident that has landed him in hospital, Asa immediately rushes to be with him.

Unable to leave Theo to fend for himself while he recovers, Asa takes his friend back to Glasgow with him.

There, secrets are revealed, and Asa learns more about Theo than he ever imagined.

Asa has been in love with Theo since their first year of college. But Theo only has eyes for Oliver, who is completely straight and unaware of Theo’s feelings. Years later at Oliver’s wedding, Asa has returned back to London for the nuptials, unsurprised to find his feelings for Theo remain as strong as ever. But when Theo has an accident, could this be the chance Asa has longed for?

This is a lovely short story about two really good friends who finally allow their relationship to bloom into more. I personally enjoyed the pacing of the story – that lovely slow, sweet fall from friends into lovers. Readers looking for a harder-core erotica might find the pace too slow though. There is no sex or spice until well past the half-way mark and in such a short length story readers who are more interested in the spice and erotic scenes rather than the journey itself might find this lacking in the heat department.

For me, I often love the journey and am far more interested in the characters and the ride – so this story really hit a lot of good points for my enjoyment. I loved getting to know Asa – and to a lesser extent Theo. The entire story is told from Asa’s point of view, so at times I really did wish for a quick glance in Theo’s head. Needing to read this thoughts and feelings from cues in his actions and through Asa’s eyes were sometimes difficult and I would have dearly loved at least a chapter or two from Theo’s perspective. That said, I loved watching Theo and Asa deepen their friendship, open their trust to each other and finally, finally at the end of the story come together and admit their feelings were so much more than friendship.

Readers looking for a slow, realistic and very sweet progression of a story, one focused on the characters and their journey together should really love this M/M story. I really enjoyed it and would happily look for more.

Daniel knew what he’d done was unforgivable, but being made to confront his mate, forced to see Declan again was more than Daniel thought he could bear. Can they find their way through and move forward from here?

I really enjoyed this short story. I found it quite a different view on the usual “we are mates” werewolf style of story. I was pleased how angry Declan was initially with the whole situation – and even more pleased that once he really understood everything Daniel had been through, and the protectiveness that drove him – that anger of Declan’s turned away from Daniel and toward the people it really should have been aimed at.

There was quite a bit of hurt/comfort in this story and I thought that was a lovely contrast to the rougher, more wolf-based aspects of this story. The M/M sex is steamy hot, but to some degree that love and sex takes a back seat to the plot. I felt that really gave me the sense that the story was well rounded. It didn’t feel like a story about sex with a bit of plot thrown in – rather a story with a good, strong plot with a bit of sex thrown in. I really enjoyed that.

Danny’s character could have been a little better defined I thought. Because his thought processes and memories had been messed up a bit from his “treatment” and reconditioning it initially made his character a bit difficult for me to get a handle on it. Declan’s viewpoint helped me get a bit of clarity on that and I adored the happy ending. Despite the short length of the story – and I would have loved it had the story been longer and gone into more details! – I felt this was really a well-rounded story and I greatly enjoyed it.

A well paced short story with interesting characters and definitely a hook for future installments. A lovely M/M with plenty of plot and heart. Recommended.

Favorite Vacation Destination

Michel- I really loved going to Jamaica, I got to cliff dive, float in the sea, snorkel and spend time relaxing. It’s a laid back culture. The hardest part for my husband and I was turning off the internal schedule. Since we didn’t have our son with the only people we needed to entertain was ourselves. The people of Jamaica are great at helping the tourists stop, sit and relax. I need to go back when we have more time now that I’ve finally learned how to vacation.

Things I Like Doing When I’m Not Writing

Reana – My two favorite hobbies are reading and dancing! There is nothing better than settling down with a good book and escaping into a new world and getting to know the characters. Reading is escapism for me and after a hard day of work, to just enjoy diving into a new universe is one of the best things for me. Dancing is another thing I love. All types of dancing! In 2007, I began taking country line dance lessons and it’s so much fun. My husband isn’t a fan, but he humors me a lot and will take me out and just hangout while I live on the dancefloor.

mediakit_bookcover_unwrappingamarriageWhat do you do when the love that once set you free, feels like it’s holding you prisoner?

Sterling and Elizabeth Jackson have built a life most would envy. A beautiful home, two wonderful children and a very comfortable lifestyle. Yet something is tearing them apart. With divorce looming, they are trying to make it through the holiday season for their family.

With clashing schedules, demands from employers and two busy kids, the former lovers have managed to stay out of each other’s orbit, at least for a while. But Fate, or maybe their well-meaning family, has set them up on a collision course.

Past memories bubble up to the surface and there’s nothing to stem the flow. What once was amazing has turned hurtful and full of pain. But is that the real story? Is it too late for a couple who once lived and breathed for each other to find their way back?

There’s a thin line between love and hate. Will Sterling and Elizabeth be able to mend a love that seems broken and lost, or will the final pull on the holiday ribbon unwrap their last chance to save their marriage.

Enjoy an Excerpt:

Pulling herself together as the memory faded, Beth put on a pair of fuzzy pajama bottoms and an old t-shirt from college. With her hair already in a ponytail, she was ready for bed. When she opened the closet door, the sound of a shower caught her, quickly followed by steam. The glass of their shower door was misted over but she could still make out Sterling’s dark form inside. His hands were locked together with his fingers splayed. Catching water in his palms, then bringing them over his head to rinse the soap from his skin, his back arched. Beth’s core clenched. How long had it been since he’d touched her? Since she’d been touched at all? Her eyes traveled down his body making out the smudged form through the glass. If the old adage about the first husband being all about good looks, then he hit it on all levels. Traces of white trailed along his dark skin from the soap and she leaned against the doorjamb to watch the show. He wouldn’t be thinking she was ogling him and technically, he was still her husband.

She shifted and moved away when her hand grazed the extra flesh of her stomach. No wonder he wasn’t groping at her. She wasn’t the same young woman he’d met all those years ago. Life changed her. No, she’d allowed herself to change and as a result, it changed his attraction to her. After the divorce was final, if she ever wanted to be touched again, something would need to be done.

The shower turned off. She pulled away from the bathroom door and crawled into her side of the bed. Facing away from the en suite bathroom, she buried her face in her pillow and wondered when the man of her dreams had begun to despise the sight of her.

All her life, Topaz Hathor has denied her ability to see the spirits of the dead. She despises her father’an infamous spiritualist’for exploiting his wealthy patrons and the souls that flock to him. But when the spirit of an attractive man appears in her bedroom claiming he’s been drawn to Topaz rather than her father, she sits up and takes notice.

Though not dead, Romney Marsh has been banished from his body while confined to an asylum and can’t remember much besides his name. Yet he can feel Topaz’s spirit calling to his, and he’s not leaving until she agrees to help him. Through an increasingly violent spiral of danger and their discovery of unspeakable undertakings, they bond ever more closely. But can Topaz be in love with a man she’s never touched, or would that be sheer madness?

Topaz is an unusual young lady. Her brother has taught her ways to defend herself that no normal lady of her social standing would usually learn. Add to this the fact her father attracts spirits of the dead to their mansion and uses them to increase his fortune, and it is no wonder Topaz feels she has to look after herself. Topaz has also inherited her father’s spiritual ability, but refuses to use it – until one particular spirit asks for her help. As romance blossoms between Topaz and the spirit, she is drawn into a world of horror and violence.

Steam robots, spirits of the afterlife and something going on in the cellar which appears at best to be outside the law, and at worst is a repulsive and horrific act.

Steampunk with a difference. Not the normal back in time and change everything to steam, this book has a uniqueness which caught my interest and kept me reading until the end. Spiritualism combined with steampunk and a little bit of science fiction makes for a brilliant story and when an unusual romance is included it is difficult to put the book down. Highly recommended.
