DELTA FORCE: The deadliest elite counter-terrorism unit on the planet

• Will die to get the mission done

SERGEANT RICHIE “Q” GOLDMAN: The smartest soldier on any team
SERGEANT MELISSA “THE CAT” MOORE: Newest on the team, determined to be the best
If you are consuming any kind of synthetic drugs then you can certainly have any adverse effect on your discount order viagra body. The male organ viagra france is composed of three main anatomical constructions. Most commonly quoted causes for erectile dysfunctions include * Long term medical issues including o Cardiovascular disease and diabeteso Neurological djpaulkom.tv levitra fast shipping problems o Hormonal inefficiencies * Side effects of certain medication and treatments. It is an inside job, but you must be willing to do what it takes cialis line order learn this here now to protect her.
Rescued from an icy mountaintop by a Delta operative, Melissa Moore has never met a challenge she can’t conquer. Not only she will make Delta Force, she will be the best female warrior in The Unit, and woe to anyone who says otherwise. Technical wizard Richie Goldman is Bond’s “Q” turned warrior. A genius about everything except women, he takes point on the team’s most dangerous mission yet. When the Delta Force team goes undercover in the depths of the Colombian jungle, surviving attacks from every side requires that Richie and Melissa strike right at the heart of the matter…and come out with their own hearts intact.

Rough and ready, silent as a shadow, lethal as lightning, this Delta Force team wraps up one successful mission and sets up shop as dirty, down-on-their-luck drug-runners. However, they’ve been sent a new member for the team, a member they don’t think they need. Kyle, Carla, Duane, Chad, and Richie are a cohesive team. They know each others’ strengths and use them efficiently. They’re a little hostile about having to take on a newbie.

Melissa “The Cat” has completed all her training with flying colors. She hates being separated from her old team and has no idea how she can contribute to “the-best-of-the-best” team at taking out drug cartels both small and large in South America. How she copes and contributes is a WOW! She is no shrinking violet. How these high-octane people blend when ‘the chips are down” is exciting and fun to read about from the get-go.

Richie, the nerd and genius of the team besides being one lethal warrior, connects with Melissa in more than one special way. As danger escalates and their attraction to each other heats up, the reader is taken on a vicarious ride that sends the adrenaline racing and the heart singing then sighing with satisfaction.

No one does anything in halfway measures in this team! They kill when it’s necessary, they blow things up, and they outmaneuver the enemy. They do what needs to be done to get the job done. They are dead serious about their work, but the humor that threads through the relationship they have with each other is such fun to read.

I accept the names and technical terms about the planes, guns, and equipment as true since I know nothing about these things, but it sounds like they do since they use them all to their full advantage.

Heart Strike is beautifully written, exciting to the Nth degree with dangerous doings and with sensual, sizzling love scenes that heat the blood.

Once in a while a M. L. Buchman story hits the spot like a cold glass of ice tea on a hot summer day. GOOD READING!

Sure, everybody knows about the great heroes of legend. The ones people write songs about, the ones who lead the charge against the monsters that lay waste to cities or against an army of invaders that outnumber the good guys twenty to one—you know, the best heroes that money can buy. Trouble is, not everyone can afford their services.

Fortunately, the best heroes are not the only ones on the market.

Which is just what harried waitress Peg Brickner accidentally discovers after receiving an unusual—and, as it turns out, otherworldly—tip from a peculiar customer in the middle of one rotten dinner shift. Life on Earth is hard enough, but life in the magical world of Cantrial? Forget about it. Five minutes after being unsuspectingly yanked into it by an unscrupulous B-List talent scout for heroes, all Peg wants to do is get back home again before something in this crazy new world kills her or eats her with ketchup. Or both.

Trouble is, getting home may be a lot harder than leaving it was. Thanks to a bunch of greedy bureaucrats, Peg’s way home is about to be destroyed—unless she reluctantly joins a trio of magical misfits on a high-stakes heroes-for-hire mission in an attempt to recover stolen property before their rivals—or a roguishly charming thief—beat them to it.

She knew she should have called in sick today…

Could Peg’s day possibly get any worse?

To say that Peg is having a bad day would be a huge understatement. Her personal life is in shambles and her situation at work is getting worse by the minute. When a customer gives her a strange tip in lieu of money, Peg isn’t surprised. The guy looked like he was in worse shape than her, but when the gift pulls her into the magical and dangerous world Cantrial, Peg’s life is changed forever, and maybe not for the better.

Peg is an easy character to like. She’s a hard working woman just trying to make ends meet, but life has dealt her a few heavy blows, and she’s finding it hard to recover. She immediately had my sympathy. When her ex-boyfriend shows up at her work, it was hard to imagine her day getting any worse. Then she is pulled into a magic world and ends up on the wrong side of the law. Clearly luck is not on her side. Fortunately, Peg is a very determined woman. Cantrial throws a multitude of challenges at her, and somehow she keeps moving. Whether she wants to admit it or not, Peg has the potential to be a great heroine. I enjoyed watching her grow and change into a woman with a courageous heart.

I absolutely loved the misfit bunch of heroes Peg joins. I can’t say much about them because I don’t want to ruin the moment when Peg meets them for the first time. Readers are in for a surprise because these certainly aren’t typical heroes. I had so much fun following them on their quest and watching them gel into a solid team. Each hero is a misfit in some way, but when they work together they each bring something unique to the team. I had a lot of fun cheering them on as I read.

The fight scenes with Peg were very well thought out. This woman has no experience fighting, but Ms. Feldman showcases Peg’s resourcefulness very well. Again, I find myself unable to share many details without spoiling the story. However, I will say that the contents of a purse should never be underestimated.

Heroes for Hire is very well paced.  There was a lot of action that kept me turning pages wondering how Peg would get out of her latest scrape. Peg’s exhaustion practically radiated off the pages by the time I reached the end of the tale. Ms. Feldman sprinkled in some slower moments that balanced the frantic nature of the quest well. Heroes for Hire has lots of laugh out loud moments, but those too were balanced with some more serious and touching scenes, which gives the adventure a very balanced feel.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading Heroes for Hire. I’m so glad this is the first book in a planned series because I will be keeping my eye open for the next book. I highly recommend Heroes for Hire to anyone looking for a thrilling fantasy.

A mostly black community with its roots in farming, Goslyn, Virginia lay just south of the State’s Capital. The once small, close-knit county had grown rapidly in the past two decades and boasted a population of just over fifty thousand. But the county’s crime stats had grown as well, and the latest offenses included several break-ins and rumors of a meth lab. Time had brought many changes, and many of the longtime folks of Goslyn no longer recognized their community and longed for days gone by.

Goslyn PD Detective Olivia “Ollie” Winston loves her family and friends and shows it through her sense of humor. Just like her neighbors, she too worries about the recent events, and it’s her job to find out who’s behind the crime spree.

While investigating three burglaries, Olivia meets IRS Special Agent Maureen Jeffries who is pursuing a tax fraud suspect. Goslyn is a growing community and as the population increases so does the crime in the area. But thanks to Detective Olivia ‘Ollie’ Winston and others at the Goslyn police precinct they are hard on the case. Lead detective on the case of several burglaries at a chain of tax refund business Ollie and her partner Marcus are full on into the investigation.

Will the case be as simple as it seems?

This book was pretty surprising to me and I found myself enjoying the plot. I suspected the suspense as to who was behind the robberies but I didn’t expect the action of high speed chases, stakeouts, explosions all the ingredients that makes for a good read. This was an attention grabber from the beginning when there was a robbery at the tax refund business of Bertrand Lewis and finding out why his business was being targeted. As I read on, the intensity of the book kept going with surprises and suspense. This wasn’t a simple or quick investigation. The author really put some thought into planning this plot in a way to keep the reader guessing at what would happen next.

I enjoyed the police investigation however I didn’t care too much for the story line of Ollie and Maureen’s personal relationship. I just found it strange that everyone was involved in their personal relationship, questioning and being cheerleaders. Were they that lonely and pitiful that their personal life is an all points bulletin for their friends and family members? I did like that their relationship went slow with dates and talking getting to know each other. Their relationship wasn’t the highlight of the book for me, more like a filler to give the novel some personal aspect instead of the entire book being about the robbery case.

The story was wrapped up nicely and a ending that doesn’t leave the reader with a cliff hanger. The plot is one that is original and flowed fairly nice. The author’s writing style is easy to read. I look forward to reading more from this author in the future.

This was an entertaining read that I enjoyed and would suggest to those that enjoy a action investigative suspense thriller, however it does include a female with female relationship.

A Simple Vow.inddHoused in a rustic red barn, the Simple Gifts crafts shop celebrates the talents of the Amish of Willow Ridge—and the faith that inspires them. For the acceptance of simplicity opens the path to love.

As far as Edith Riehl is concerned, the baby twins thrust suddenly into her arms are a heaven-sent gift. Unable to conceive, she longs to be a mother with a home of her own. She’s going to abide by her promise to handsome Asa Detweiler to take care of them while he looks for their real father. And even if her domineering dat Cornelius refuses to countenance Asa’s suit, she can only pray the bachelor’s honesty and persistence will uncover the truth—even as he’s kindled an impossible hope for a love of her own…

Asa can’t understand why anyone would think he would be so dishonorable as to father babies and then abandon them. He’s determined to clear his name—but Edith’s caring ways also inspire him to help heal her wounded spirit and earn her trust. In the face of heartbreaking deception, he and Edith must find the strength to understand, forgive…and claim their own hearts’ joy.

Enjoy an exclusive excerpt:

After taking a hot shower to soothe his aching body, Asa put on one of Luke Hooley’s plain green shirts and then pulled on a pair of his trousers. He and Luke were nearly the same size, and Asa was grateful that his host had loaned him some clean clothes. Despite a killer headache, he chuckled at the assortment of bold prints hanging in the closet—and the fact that some of Luke’s shirts and Nora’s dresses matched. Not every Mennonite husband would be pleased that his woman had sewn such striking garments for him, but Asa suspected Hooley was too enamored of his attractive redheaded wife to fuss about it.

Nice people, these Hooleys. Luke offered me a room and Nora brought me food from the wedding.

Asa gathered his grass-stained clothes from the bathroom floor. He eased down the wooden stairs in his bare feet, aware of every aching muscle and joint in his body. Andy Leitner had told him he was awfully lucky he’d landed in tall grass rather than on gravel, and that he hadn’t hit his head on a nearby tree. Even so, Asa chafed at the local nurse’s order to lay low for a few days until they could assess how bad his concussion was—and until his horse was checked out by a vet. He had an entire set of antique bedroom furniture waiting to be restored in his shop—not to mention his mission of finding some Gingerich guy . . . whose first name had escaped him.

Asa shuffled carefully between the tightly arranged pew benches that filled the main level of the house, in awe of how many guests must have attended the wedding this morning. When he got to the kitchen, he lifted the foil from a glass casserole pan sitting on the counter. He inhaled the rich aroma of sauced pulled pork, several pieces of grilled chicken, and a huge mound of mashed potatoes that had been hollowed out to hold enough baked beans for three men. Next to the casserole pan sat a plate with two pieces of peach pie and a big wedge of wedding cake.

These people know how to put on a party. Asa tossed his dirty clothes aside and then opened drawers until he found a fork. He closed his eyes over a mouthful of the pork and let out a blissful sigh. It was an effort not to wolf down the food as a dog would, hungry as he suddenly was. He didn’t bother finding a plate or taking his meal to the table. As he bit into a chicken leg, he didn’t even care that juice dribbled down his chin—

“Anybody home?”

Asa stiffened, the chicken leg suspended in front of his mouth. Had someone called to him through the screened front door, or was he hearing voices as a symptom of his concussion? Maybe someone had come looking for Nora or—

“Asa? Are you in there?”

Childhood best friends Rachel Campbell and Claire West have not only grown up, but after fifteen years, they’ve also grown apart…

I struggled with a rating for this book, and I’m struggling a bit with the review. It’s hard to categorize, exactly, why I enjoyed it and why I kept happily returning to it after I’d put it down for a moment. This isn’t an edge-of-your-seat thriller, or a heart- warming romance. It’s more, rather, a day (or a few weeks) in the life of two women whose lives are at a pivotal moment and how the choices they make, even little ones, may affect their total future.

Claire was my favorite of the two … oddly, she felt more human and actually stronger than Rachel, despite outward appearances. Rachel’s constant irritation with life in general wore on me a bit, and there were times I wondered why Claire and Andrew even wanted to be around her. She goes through changes as the book progresses, thankfully, and by the end I really enjoyed her.

Claire has been treated as if she is fragile and utterly breakable her entire life. She finds just a little spine when she leaves a stint in rehab that she didn’t even need, and goes against her parents’ wishes for her to live with them, instead returning to the home of her youth. It’s there her journey truly begins.

Rachel is trapped in a life she hates. Her mother is an invalid, her father left when she was just eighteen, and her sisters do little to help her with keeping them afloat. Home life is a constant battle, and it gets worse as time goes on. More, suddenly her friend from school, the same friend who up and dumped her without any warning, shows up in town again and acts as if nothing was wrong.

There’s a solid cast of secondary characters to back the girls up. Dan, Lily, Meghan, Mrs. Carwell, Andrew, and others make Hartley-by-the-Sea a real living, breathing place.

I admit to tripping over some British slang and phrasings (like A-Levels … I had to go find out what grade that was in reference to), but I’m sure the reverse is true with the folks from over the pond read books written in the US.

Thing is … nothing much happens in the story. I mean, stuff happens, but nothing earth shattering. It’s really just watching the girls figure out some things in their lives. I still, even after thinking about it more while writing this review, can’t put my finger on what made this book so charming. However, I really, really hope the author visits the town again. I can’t wait to see what’s happening with Claire, Dan, Rachel, Andrew, Lily and others. I’m really quite hooked!

After visiting him in prison, she decides to take the investigation into her own hands. Libby finds an unsettling lead on Ryan’s murderer and learns her husband might not have been as innocent as she thought.

But every clue she uncovers leads to another dead end…
Libby must risk her life to discover the truth about her husband and his murder, but things become even more dangerous when she realizes someone is watching her every move.

Libby woke to find her husband had been killed while she slept. Then things went from bad to worse when she was arrested for his murder.

This book begs the question, how do you prove your innocence when you were the only one with your husband and you can’t remember anything after going to sleep the night before. Why hadn’t Libby heard the gunshots?

Libby is a paralegal and a feisty character. The discovery of her husband’s secret life doesn’t help and the police have it fixed in their heads she’s guilty. Could this be because her father is a serial killer and has been sentenced to jail for life?

The mystery is not easy to solve either for Libby or the reader. I did feel at times Libby was being a bit stupid. She does something she regrets and her lawyer tells her not to do it again, then she goes right out and does virtually the same thing. First time could have been a natural reaction, second time was a bit silly.

This book is a good murder mystery and no matter how you try, it’s difficult to solve until the end, which is good as it keeps the suspense going.

When Sheriff Sam Lindsey calls on them to help solve the murder, Sarah risks her life to go undercover into a world of spiritualism and crime to find the murderer and the motive.

Amos and Sarah Darcy are called in by the local sheriff to help investigate a very strange death. Who on earth would kill a man with a broadsword and leave the body in a graveyard?

This is a really interesting book that captured my attention in the first few pages and didn’t let go. I haven’t read anything previously by this author and that is certainly my loss. Despite some old-fashioned language (which was a delightful surprise and lent the book an air of authenticity seeing as the time period is the 1920s) I caught on to almost everything very quickly and soon found myself completely involved in the story and Amos and Sarah in particular. The author has clearly gone to a lot of work and effort to make the setting and backdrop of her world authentic – like comments on how their brand new Oldsmobile was Amos’ pride and joy and Sarah had only just been “allowed” to drive it alone recently, or how they called a tape measure a “tape rule”, small things like this which made me pause, but I could quickly and easily understand what it meant. This is one of those few times jarring me during reading is welcome – it reminded me this story was set in the past and really gave it an air of a old-style mystery and greatly enhanced my enjoyment of the story.

I believe that this is not the first book with Amos and Sarah Darcy in it. Their relationship is already solidly formed and they are married and share a child. It’s clear they’ve been doing their detective work for quite some time. Despite this I entered this book cold (having never read anything by this author or about these characters before) and at no stage did I feel like I was left behind or lacking in back story. I admit to being incredibly curious about Amos and Sarah – I’d love to read more work about them when they first met, or the start of their relationship – but this actually proves to me just how well the story is written. I’m curious, wanting to know more. I’m not feeling as if I’ve been dropped in the middle of a story and world I don’t comprehend, it’s not a lost feeling – just an excitement to find a new author’s voice and characters I really enjoy. And that was a great pleasure for me.

While the plot and mystery was interesting, it wasn’t overly complex. There was a small hint of the occult/paranormal in that the murder had a few ritualistic items surrounding it. I enjoyed the interactions between the characters and found myself picking up the clues as the plot progressed. Readers who like deeply complex, multi-layered plots might find this one a bit light, but I personally found it satisfying when coupled with the interesting characters, the older style of background (the older speech patterns, older investigative patterns etc) and found this short story quite engaging and satisfying. While the love and affection between Amos and Sarah is obvious, they’re a well-settled character and the time setting doesn’t lend itself to any outrageous, outward shows of that love and affection. I’d happily recommend this story to my friends and just as easily my mother or grandmother. It’s a timeless classic style of mystery and an author I certainly plan to keep an eye out for. Recommended.

All too often the “jealous of the ex” thing tends to overshadow any chance of common ground or friendship and it was refreshing for me to see Hamish act like a secure, grown man. I also felt this might easily lead into a following story, perhaps revolving around Ethan and I’d really enjoy reading that. I was a little disappointed that the ending seemed sudden – while there wasn’t exactly a cliffhanger I feel fairly certain the story is far from over. Readers who like every loose end tied up might find that frustrating – but it’s an excellent way to ensure people continue to look for the next book!

I really liked how about half way through the story the perspective swapped from Paul to Hamish. This helped me get into both of the men’s heads better and I liked the feeling of understanding both men quite closely. Readers should be aware while written in a fun, light and slightly humorous manner there is a fair bit of kink to the sex between Paul, Hamish and Ethan. There is a fairly serious Puppy Play scene – which I personally found tastefully written and pretty darn hot to read – but might not be a kink all readers will enjoy indulging in. Personally I felt the sex was dealt with really well and readers who are curious about Puppy Play or just kink in general might want to give this short story a try just to see what it’s like.

A fun, sexy story that should had me reaching for a lovely cool drink. I’ll definitely be keeping an eye out for other kinky stories by these authors.

Delaney Hart has come a long way from her wild youth, dating tattooed bikers at her father’s bar, The Bad Seed. But when his death pulls her back to Wildwood, California, she must stay to renovate the dive he left her. And also face the lies and secrets that sent her running ten years before.

When Wildwood’s chief building inspector, Ethan Hayes, shows up on the property, Delaney doesn’t recognize him. The last thing he wants to do is save the bar where his cousin died in a brawl. But the good boy from her past is all too willing to remind her of the bad girl she used to be. And one night of passion leaves them both in a compromising position.

The last place Ethan should be is in Delaney’s bed. Guilt, family pressure, and plans for a brewpub of his own make shutting down The Bad Seed his top priority…until his feelings for Delaney interfere. Because her future depends on the success of the bar’s renovation and his dreams are rooted in its failure, their forbidden romance may be destined for heartbreak.

Enjoy an excerpt:

“Here’s the thing.” She was done with the push and pull. Time for her line in the sand. “You may be the only game in town, but you’re not the only inspector in the county. And if I catch you in one more lie—just one—I’ll not only file a formal complaint with the city, I’ll go over your head and demand the city manager bring in an inspector from one of the cities nearby. If I have to, I’ll go over the city manager’s head and bypass the mayor by going to the city council, because we all know how tight the Hayes and Ryan families can be when things go bad. And this time, I’m not leaving until I decide I’m leaving.”

She stabbed her index finger toward the floor. “This is more than a building renovation. This is my entire life savings. This is money I’ve worked the last decade of my life to put away. This is my future, Avery’s future, Chloe’s future. This, Ethan, is business. And in business I play straight, clean, right up the middle. I’m good at what I do, so I don’t need to play dirty. But even better, I know how to beat dirty with good business. So I’m more than happy to take dirty and meet it head-on, and I can guarantee those on the dirty side won’t like the outcome.”

When she stopped and took a breath, Ethan looked both shocked and awed. For a long moment, Delaney didn’t think he was going to say anything, but he finally said, “All this arguing is useless. You’ve only got twelve days to start renovations. There’s no way any architect is going to be able to get all the required documents together for the building permit by then, let alone begin working on this place.”

She smirked. “Keep telling yourself that, Hayes. Tell your dad, too, while you’re at it. Maybe it will keep him off your back while I’m weighing all my options. Thanks for your time. Sorry we called you in on a Saturday.”

She slid her hands into her back pockets again, turned on her heel, and sauntered toward the door, avoiding the divots in the floor that Phoebe had marked with fluorescent sticky notes. But she didn’t feel vindicated or triumphant for standing up to Ethan. Nor did she feel hopeful or excited the way she always did when she was on the brink of a new project.

She felt mean and thoughtless and bitchy. When she’d left Ethan’s bed this morning, she’d hoped they could be friends while she was in town. Maybe even have an occasional hookup and keep it quiet.

Now they were enemies. On opposite sides. The very last place she wanted her building inspector or her lover.

She’d only gotten halfway to the door when Ethan’s hand closed on her bicep. He swung her around so hard she hit his body, and his arm closed at her waist, keeping her there. His eyes burned a deep, smoky green, his mouth firm with frustration.

Delaney saw a little of that wild side he’d shown her last night. Intensely passionate, demanding, edgy. Lust rolled through her body in waves. God, she wanted that again.

“This,” he said, breathing hard, his voice rough, “is going to be a fight every step of the way. You know that.”

It wasn’t a threat. Wasn’t even a warning. Not exactly. It was more like the voice of reality. Making sure she realized just how dicey it could get. But she’d lived here. Part of her had died here. She knew how wild Wildwood could get with the Hayeses and the Ryans at the helm.

She curled one hand into the tee at his shoulder. The other into the cotton at his side. “Are you talking about you and me? Or this project? Mr. Hayes.”

His gaze lowered to her mouth, and the sight kicked up an urgent need to taste him, to have him taste her . . . “Both.”

She let the tension slide from her body and softened against him. He was as hard and warm as she remembered. Lifting her hand from his shoulder, she ran her thumb along his lower lip. “Then I think you have a few problems on your hands.”
