“The bluest of blood, the boldest of hearts; the de Montforte brothers will take your breath away.”

England, 1776: Lord Gareth de Montforte is known as an irresponsible rake with a heart of gold. When he takes a bullet for boldly thwarting a stagecoach robbery, he is stunned to discover that the beautiful young woman he has heroically rescued, Juliet Paige, is his deceased brother’s American fiancée, accompanied by her infant daughter. Despite his brother the duke’s refusal to acknowledge Juliet, Gareth is determined to do right by the courageous woman who crossed an ocean to give her baby her rightful name. But Juliet is wary of marrying this black sheep aristocrat, even while she is hopelessly charmed by the dashing devil. Never has she met anyone who embraces life so thoroughly, who makes her laugh, who loves her so well. And, even when it seems the odds are against them, Juliet has absolute faith that Gareth will go beyond the call of duty, risking his life itself to give her and her daughter a home — and a love that will last a lifetime.

Something old is new again. Welcome to the rerelease of the de Montforte series; about four brothers who are as different as night and day.

Lord Gareth de Montforte is known in the town of Ravenscombe as the Wild One, and is always out to have a good time with his fellow troublemakers from the Den of Debauchery. They are men who are rakes and wastrels.  But Lord Gareth’s view of life changes when he intercedes during a robbery, saving a little boy’s life and becoming a hero.  He’s deeply affected by the courage of one of the other passengers, a woman. That fateful night, he became smitten. Then he discovers his angel is none other than his dead brother’s fiancée, Juliet Paige from America. Enraged by his brother Lucien’s decision not to honor his dying brother’s last wish, Gareth will do what needs to be done. He will protect this woman who has captured his heart. He only hopes he can become all she needs and desires.

Juliet knew coming to England was a bad decision, but she was determined to follow her fiancé’s last wish for his child to be raised with his family and to carry his name. She has never been one to accept charity, so believing herself to be unwelcome, she departs Blackheath Castle. She decides to leave and make a better life for her and her daughter Charlotte. She may be running away from her daughter’s family, but she is also running away from the feelings she is beginning to have for Lord Gareth. Feelings she should not be having, while in mourning for her beloved Lord Charles.

Unknown to these two people, their lives are not in their own hands. While their feelings may seem real; can they have a life together when their futures are being manipulated by another?

I enjoyed this story. Juliet was a true American with strength, courage and determination and Lord Gareth was noble, fun and had a heart of gold. Ms. Harmon drew me in with the plot, characters and her great writing. I fell in love with these two people. They had to battle their feelings and discover that, maybe just maybe, they are perfect for each other. But it wasn’t just this couple that riveted me. The community of Ravenscombe, the Den of Debauchery and especially the rest of the de Montforte family is what captured my heart. They, as a whole, had me turning the pages nonstop and wanting to pick up the next book, The Beloved One.

I think for me the most delightful thing about The Wild One is that the other books in the de Montforte series have already been written. This series is being rereleased in eBook format and I can’t be happier. There is no waiting to discover what wonderful things are going to happen to the other brothers. I will admit that I devoured the whole series in a matter of days. While the novels individually are great, the series as a whole is much better. I would highly recommend getting all the books, because when you are done with one, I can pretty much bet you are going to want the others!

On a side note for readers, there is also a sister in the de Montforte family, Nerissa. When the books were originally written, over a decade ago, her story had not yet been told. I am happy to report Ms. Harmon is writing her tale as of spring 2012. I am officially one very happy camper!

The Wild One is classic historical romance. While this novel maybe over fifteen years old, it is timeless with its tale and shouldn’t be missed. It is filled with history, love and a splash of sexual heat. The Wild One is a very good story and the de Montforte Brothers series is remarkable.

It’s double the trouble when two ornery cowboys come courtin’, Texas-style…

Lone Star Lovers, Book 6

Sam Logan’s hell-raising twin sons have a bad rep in Two Mule, Texas. All of it earned. When it becomes clear those two troublemakers won’t settle down without another nudge—make that a boot to their butts—Sam reissues his challenge. Find a wife.

There’s only one woman who’s ever held Mace and Jason Logan’s attention for more than one night. Molly Pritchet, their former teacher. She’s been too worried about a pesky morals clause to let them close, but they’re older now and ready to prove to her that some rules are meant to be broken.

Molly thought her path was clear: always a teacher, never a mother or a wife. Until she finds those two Logan “boys” in her backyard, all grown up and digging around in her business. More accurately, starting her koi pond for her without asking. Well, it’s about time someone taught the Logan twins some manners.

A little mud, a lot of yearnings she thought she’d suppressed, and Molly realizes she’s the one being schooled in the art of indulging in forbidden desires.

Who hasn’t had a crush on their teacher? This story takes the teacher-student scenario to another heat level!!!

Mace and Jason Logan have actually been in love with their teacher Miss Molly Pritchet since they first set eyes on her in high school. Molly, however, has stood her ground behind her virtuous moral stance and never let on that she is interested in the twins in the least. The twins were always getting into trouble when they were in school, but now eight years later, they are grownup, handsome men. Molly is only five years older than the twins, but has been stuck in her teacher mode and has forgotten how to be just a woman.

Molly is a very likeable woman who is dedicated to her profession and loyal to those she loves. The story does not go into much detail on what the twins do, possibly because they have been introduced in a previous book. I still enjoyed reading this story even though it is part of a series that I haven’t already been reading. Now I will have to go and look for the previous books to learn about all the other people of Two Mule, Texas. Two Wild for Teacher does work as a standalone read and I don’t regret reading it first.

The twins’ father made a suggestion to the twins about their future, so they decide that Molly needs to be a part of it. Things move very quickly for all of them when Mace and Jason’s courtship plan worked better than they expected. The chemistry between the characters worked so well that time just flew by and I arrived at the end of the story all too soon. The plot was simple, yet effective because the guys set out to do as their father wanted them to and they went about accomplishing the task. The lengths that they went to convincing Molly that they were serious about her were very endearing.

Ms. Devlin’s writing is so well done that the experience was seamless. I will definitely be looking for more of Ms. Devlin’s books for my “keeper shelf”. With the very interesting premise of the former teacher/student relationship and hot scenes that include gorgeous twin brothers, Two Wild for Teacher is highly recommended reading for a quick escape.

Gabe MacGowan a sexy, brooding, guilt-ridden widower and father to mischievous seven-yearold Jake is the proprietor of Odin’s Thumb Inn and Pub in a misty Scottish seaside village. He decides to sell the inn and move, not only to give his son a more stable environment, but to escape the ghosts who haunt him in particular his dead wife. Gabe hires Allie Morgan, an easy-going and fun-loving American, to oust the spirits who are chasing away potential buyers. Odin’s Thumb is bustling with frightened tourists, quirky residents of the village, and dodgy yet lovable apparitions including the ghost of a sea captain who fancies Allie. Allie knows she can help Gabe chase away his own ghosts, but can she help him rediscover life and love?

Ghostly chaperones, sexy Scottish Highlanders, and a terrified inn keeper keep an intrepid American woman on her toes and test her sense of humor while leading her on a path of discovery that will change her life. MacGowan’s Ghost has so much to offer a reader with its richness of characters, dialogue and scenery, not to mention a sensual build up that keeps the emotional tension taunt, that it’s a book a romance reader can visit again and again.

First off, there are the ghosts. The whole plot revolves around them and they do a fine job of keeping the heroine, Allie, from doing what she was hired to do. In fact, they make a counter offer. It’s adorable how she not only understands them but eventually counts them as friends. How can ghosts be friends?

Ms. Miles explored that to my satisfaction and amazement. So much history, love and compassion surrounded them that I sometimes forgot they were ghosts. I felt really bad for one of them because I think he fell in love, but it couldn’t ever be realized. Poor guy, he knew it too but that didn’t stop him from doing certain things. I respected him all the more for it. Authors work magic; I wish Ms. Miles could someday work it for him.

The man who does benefit from love is the hero, Gabe. Actually, the truer phrasing would be that he eventually benefits from love. The author put him through the wringer emotionally and he has to deal with some very unpleasant things from his past before he can truly live for the future. It starts off innocuous enough but eventually he’s faced with an evil he has no idea how to handle. Fear rules him for a lot of the story and a reader will find out why. It was a very powerful plot conflict, and effective. In spite of that drama, he is a wonderful, manly and seductive man. I enjoyed learning about him, how he views his home, family and village. I also liked how completely Allie bowled him over and made this competent and virile man so tongue tied, he could only stare. Ms. Miles did a wonderful job of describing his eyes. I was hard pressed to decide which was the sexiest part of Gabe MacGowan, I liked everything about him.

Jake is Gabe’s son and he’s another contributor that affects Allie’s decision making. I liked how the author utilized the young and vibrant character because it brought more depth of emotion to the telling of the tale. Throw in a doting aunt and a loving mother and grandmother, toss in an exuberant brother and pesky prospective buyers for the inn, and a reader has a full stage of personalities to be charmed and entertained by.

Speaking of secondary characters, I had no idea that Ms. Miles had written other paranormal romance stories. When I met Gabe’s neighbors, I was agog. How did I miss more great sexy Highlander stories? I have no idea if it was intentional or not but the author set up an awesome hook for investigating her back list and I assure you, I’m going to. They were hot!

As for Allie, the heroine, she’s a peach. She’s presents as a chipper, optimistic and caring individual that refuses to see or speak ill of anyone. She is charming, delightful, cooks well and has the serious hots for Gabe. At first she comes across as too perfect. As Gabe and a reader get to know her, small tidbits of darkness start to show up. Eventually, I found out how she came to be the way she was. It was horrific, scary and totally fascinating. Ms. Miles has a great imagination and this book benefited from its genius. There is a lot more to Allie Morgan than just an effective ghost mediator/interpreter/ouster.

As much as I adored this book and stayed riveted to the pages until the late evening hours, there was something that made me snort. I liked Gabe’s eyes, and I mentioned that earlier. This is an extremely sensual romance that only became spicy at one point or moment in the book. It was mostly build-up and teases. One technique that was over used was the stare or eye-lock between Gabe and Allie. It got to be sort of freakish because it was used so much. I understood the author’s intention and in the beginning it worked like a charm. After awhile, though, his staring made me uncomfortable, like he was a vampire working woo-woo. Fortunately, there were many more wonderful techniques and descriptions that pushed my happy buttons and it all worked out.

I’d be lax if I didn’t mention the humor. This book was loaded with it. There are plenty of opportunities for a reader to giggle, chuckle, groan or throw their hands up in exasperation every time Drew put in his two cents, which was often and much to Gabe and Allie’s consternation. For me, it was fun.

MacGowan’s Ghost is a wonderful read with plenty to keep a fan of romance basking in its sensual glow. The characters are endearing, well rounded and entertaining. The plot was intricate and woven well throughout the tale and the relationship between Gabe and Allie was everything I could have wanted. I enjoyed the dialogue and the clever schemes the author thought up to deter the sale of the inn. The happy ever after is at first touching, bittersweet yet full of hope and promise. The final moments that sealed their happiness was what I’d been wanting and waiting for, for so many chapters in the book, and it was a relief to see it realized. Ms. Miles delivered on the promise of a delightful love story and I couldn’t be happier. If readers haven’t discovered the talents of this author, they’re missing out. Obviously, I was, but no longer. I like this author’s style.

When Addison Laine discovers her famous late-aunt’s love letters, she never expects a lawsuit over the information they contain.

Enter Jackson Poole, son of the woman responsible for the lawsuit. Addi knows any relationship with Jackson would be disastrous but she can’t fight her attraction to his quiet intelligence and sexy-professor style.

As Jackson works on authenticating the letters, he finds himself falling for the free-spirited Addi. His fierce need for her overcomes all his reservations—and his inhibitions.

And sweet, exciting Addi is more than willing to help him explore his secret kinky side.

In the mood for a sexy romp with a little conflict and light drama to spice things up? Look no further than Dear Addi for a story with an unusual premise to get the hero and heroine together. It doesn’t take long for nature to take its course and a nicely told romance unfolds for a reader to enjoy.

The idea behind this tale is cute. I liked that messages from the past between two lovers could have the power to influence the future and perpetuate the legacy of love for another generation. I understand that way back when, the art of writing letters was truly profound. Those old letters contained so much emotion and those eloquently worded missives captured hearts and minds alike. In this day and age, the written word between lovers is not painstakingly labored over, sprinkled with perfume or dried flower petals and sent through the mail to the ones we are falling for. Nowadays, it’s cell phones, texting and the language of physical love that holds the most influence.

Nothing explores that physicality as well as Ms. Cole’s characters. With Jackson and Addi, each encounter adds another layer of trust. Addi inspires Jackson to try new kinks just by her being receptive to the things he tries. The fact that he is able to bring her extreme pleasure inspires him to try other sexual things – fantasies he’s kept hidden in a darker part of himself. Her easy acceptance and pure enjoyment gives him a confidence he never had before. By the same token, Addi finds herself with a man who, by his very presence, has her feeling a level of sensations and closeness she’s never before experienced. It sounds rosy, doesn’t it?

No story can be totally happy and joyous. There has to be a trial that makes it all worth it. The conflict takes the form of Jackson’s mother. Her obsession is very self-centered and at one point, verges on the cusp of criminality and, dare I say, she has the morals of a viper. One of the high points was Addi’s verbal response to the woman in the only scene where the two women were together. It was quite notable. At the same time that I enjoyed the interaction and how it stirred the conflict, I also thought it ended kind of weird. Just the way it was written really made me question Jackson’s mother’s sanity. I’m not sure if that was the author’s intent but how she flounced off had me thinking she needed to be medicated or in a hospital herself for observation. It was like she was in her own little world and, as twisted and illogical as it was, it made perfect sense to her. Add in her cattiness and willingness to break the law and her actions were unsurprising to me. I figured she’d do something. What she does, I questioned if she actually had the time to do it, and how she even figured out the lay of the land to even find it in the first place and how she solved the question of location when Addi couldn’t: those were some of the questions that bothered me with the revelation later in the book.

On the other hand, Jackson’s response was wonderful, manly and all around hero-worthy. For a quiet guy, when push comes to shove, he knows how to take action and he does it with style. Plus he’s great with an apology; another good point in his favor.

Dear Addi is a simple romance with sexy highlights. It has a hero and heroine that entertain a reader while on their journey to falling in love. There’s lots of opportunity for readers to enjoy what makes this book erotic while finding moments of tenderness with heart touching scenes to bring a little depth to the tale. It even has a wonderful happy ever after. This story was a pleasure to read.

Charly Wynn attends her cousin’s wedding in a little Nevada town and learns firsthand from six hot cowboys about the untamed charm of Wilde. Though itching to leave and licking past wounds, she finds it hard to resist the temptation of hunk Drake Strong.

The moment Drake Strong meets Charly, he vows to do whatever necessary to possess the beauty for himself and his brothers Dax and Seth. Keeping her away from his three other lusty brothers, Nate, Heath, and Tobias, is going to be tough. Though the ambitious city girl is itching to pursue her dreams, Drake is determined to convince her there’s plenty of action in Wilde. Will Charly let go of old hurts and open herself up to Drake, or will the killer in the shadows destroy their only chance at love?

When Charlene Wynn heads toward Wilde to talk her crazy cousin out of marrying five men, she had no idea what this sleepy little town had in store for her!

Charly has just completed her Master’s in psychology and is headed for her dream job in Malibu, wanting to shake off the stigma that hangs on her still after a shady incident many years ago. But first she plans on having a very long conversation with her cousin. Who marries five men? Well obviously there is something in the water in Wilde, and Charly is about to get her first taste when a tall drink of water named Drake Strong comes to her rescue.

Being a walking wet dream isn’t anything out of the ordinary for cowboy Drake Strong. Yet he still has to do what his mama tells him, including towing Charly to a mechanic’s when her car dies. Expecting a stuck up book worm, he’s knocked on his butt at the fiery minx he meets. The sparks fly right away between the two. Once Drake claims her as his own, because that’s what all cowboys seem to do, he just hopes she’s as open to the idea of being with his twin and younger brother. That’s right, stud muffin Drake has an identical twin!

Charly is so closed off that the moment Drake gives her his attention and shows her real affection she can’t help but open up. The trauma she went through changed her for the worse and she just needed someone to be there for her. And when Drake gives her all he has, she gives him something special in return, including her heart.

But Charly and Drake have more to deal with then falling in love. First there are Drake’s three older brothers who are a unit much like Drake, his twin and younger brother. Each unit is looking for a woman of its own and Drake knows his older brother would love Charly as much as he does. The minute Heath sets eyes on Drake’s woman, out come the claws. Secondly, a dark figure from Charly’s past comes crawling into town with menace on their mind. We’ll have to see what the plan is for this person, as we see very little of him here.

Chloe Lang creates strong characters and plot, and I find myself looking forward to the next move they will make. The people on the page are flawed, but likeable even when they make decisions that left me scratching my head. Charly is smart, she has a Masters degree afterall, so I was surprised when she made a decision that didn’t seem in line with her character. In a way it kept me reading, to find her motivation. Drake as the hero has a heart of gold but I found him to be a tad pushy, but maybe Charyl needs “pushy” to step out of her comfort zone. There’s a lot going on in this short story.

This book is a first in a series, so I’m going to assume this is the first of at least three books if not more. Each book would be focused on one man and Charly, this being Drake and Charly’s story. It’s not required to read the Wilde series before picking up this book, but you will need to read this book before picking up book two in the Strong Brothers series.

All in all, I’m looking forward to seeing what happens between the brothers and what Charly will decide in the end. Sexy cowboys, or living your dreams? Tough call for any girl I think! If you are a fan of menage romances, then you surely won’t be disappointed here.

From bestselling author Lori Copeland, When Love Comes My Way is a love story about redemption, forgiveness, and renewed spiritual awakenings set against the backdrop of scenic Upper Peninsula, Michigan, in the days when pine was king.

Michigan, 1873—As Tess Wakefield wakes from a frightening wagon accident, she discovers she has lost her memories. In her recovery, she loses her heart as well to handsome lumberjack Jake Lannigan. It’s not a two-way street, though. Jake thinks he knows exactly who she is—the spoiled Wakefield Timber heir—but he believes the accident provides the means to show her that she has a responsibility to replant the trees and not to merely invest her inheritance opening another of her silly millinery shops.

Then he slowly he begins to fall in love with her. Jake wants to tell Tess the truth, but before he can her true identity is uncovered, and then both of them find the emotional stakes too high. Will God intervene and show this headstrong couple that only He in His wisdom could have paired them together?

During a bitter cold winter near Lake Huron in late nineteenth century, huge, handsome lumberjack Jake “Big Say” Lannigan and Philadelphia-reared heiress Tess Wakefield, who has amnesia, keep Wakefield Timber logging camp in a stir.

Lori Copeland captivates with a setting that certainly doesn’t seem conducive to romance, but uses it to create a “meant-to-be” love match. She also uses it to bring to life some intriguing characters whose strengths and weakness are revealed as they cope with less than desirable living conditions, hazardous working conditions, and social interactions that stir up conflicts that test integrity, faith, morals, and patience. She besieges the senses: like smells in the bunkhouse; feel of the bitter cold, sight of a moonlit crystal clear night; taste of food after a hard day’s work; sounds of the working lumberjacks as trees are topped and “timberrr” rings out, and so much more. Her amazing descriptions place the reader right in the middle of it all.

When Love Comes My Way, even though an inspirational novel, does not sermonize or evangelize, but lets the reader have a vicarious experience with major characters whose deep, abiding Christian belief is part of the very fabric of their being. It is evidenced in their actions and in the debilitating sense of guilt that niggles at them when they fall short of what they know is acceptable for a true believer.

The relationship that grows with Jake and Tess keeps the reader turning pages. Ms. Copeland weaves their lives together with humorous actions, devious actions, subtle but compelling feelings and desires, and intriguing back story as she skillfully turns their differences around to mutual desire not just for each other, but also a desire to help people in the present and to do what will help generations to come.

The secondary characters are a hardy lot. The downtrodden young wife Echo–hers is a “not-to-miss” story; the “monster” school children—my word, made shudder to think about trying to teach those little “darlings”; the polite Andre Montague, Jake’s right hand man; Talbot, Tess’s guardian and fiancé, and many others all add a humanness to this delightful story that is hard to put down—kept me up late.

When Love Comes My Way is an exquisite love story set is a harsh environment. Ms. Copeland’s awesome writing style, her captivating characters, and wonderful descriptions make this a story to be read more than once.

Good girl Jenny Ainsley never hoped for more than her nine-to-five existence. Then her famous brother hires a bodyguard to protect her—a sinfully sexy man who gets drawn into a plot to take down an international drug syndicate. At first an unwilling participant, Jenny soon realizes she has the opportunity to break away from her timid past and do something important. And getting her hot bodyguard into bed will be a delicious bonus. He resists her at every turn, however, and she discovers that no amount of training—or seduction—can crack the code to this man’s heart.

Ex-MI-5 agent Günter Faust is no stranger to watching the beautiful Jenny Ainsley. For years he’s seen to her safety, hiding in the shadows and pining for the woman he can never have. Bedding a client is not an option. But fate has put her by his side, working up close and personal. And with Jenny’s relentless determination to seduce him, it’s only a matter of time before she blows his cover—and his heart—wide open.

Imagine being the dowdy sister of a huge music star. For Jenny Ainsley, this was her reality. She’d been separated from her brother, David, for most of her life, but now that they had been reunited, she just wanted a good relationship, despite their different lifestyles.

When David receives threatening letters that specifically mention his sister, he pleads with her to stay in his New York penthouse where she can be protected. She reluctantly agrees, but she gets attacked when she tries to shake her security detail. That’s when David calls in the big gun – Gunter Faust.

Gunter is your typical alpha male, and there’s little about him I didn’t like. He was strong, arrogant, and very good at his job. He was the one David calls when no one else would do. What David doesn’t know, however, is that Gunter has had an infatuation with Jenny for years, so when he’s charged with protecting her, his internal battle with his desire begins.

Jenny is also a lovable character. While she starts quiet and reserved, the real woman emerges as soon as danger lurks. She proves herself a very capable warrior and a reliable asset in the battles Gunter is soon faced with.

The character who stole my heart, however, was Gunter’s number two man, Simon. He was a loyal friend, dedicated sidekick, and a wonderful man. I enjoyed the relationship he and Gunter shared, and hope to see more of his story in possible future tales.

Undercover Lover is filled with adventure, action, suspense, and fantastic love scenes. The writing is powerful, and the story was easy to follow, despite the intricacies of the mystery. I had trouble putting it down once I got going!

The only negative I’d have for this title is the climax seemed a bit rushed. There was such fantastic build up, and the twists at the end were well worth waiting for, but as soon as the action started, it was over. The culmination of the story was told through the point of view of a character who was fading in and out of consciousness, so some things were skipped over, and I would have liked to have read through that. We also didn’t get much time to spend with the characters after the climax to resolve all the issues that were brought up.

Even with a few slight negatives, this was a fantastic read. I’d certainly pick up other titles from this author. If you like a great action and suspense filled story, this is definitely one to consider!

How can a woman, three times at almost getting to the altar, get over the fear that number four will fail like all the others have? Only a man determined and trained to reach the end game is up to the challenge and Nate, Navy SEAL and lover of cookies, is just the man for the mission.

I’m hard pressed to find anything that I didn’t like in this book. I found the first meeting between Hailey and Nate inspired, his pursuit of her romantic and fascinating, Hailey’s self-delusion entertaining and their sexy interludes blush-worthy.

I enjoyed their dialogue, both internal monologues and their conversational gambits as they learned about each other. I also appreciated the sibling relationship between Hailey and Rachel because Rachel wouldn’t let Hailey hide from her feelings. In her own sisterly way, she managed to prod the heroine into facing her true feelings while supporting her as Hailey muddled through this new and unexpected threat to her heart.

The addition of a secondary romance between Amy, a friend of both Hailey and Rachel, and her husband-to-be was a nice touch. Even if Hailey can’t figure out how to let go and risk her heart again, nothing was going to stop her from meddling and assisting someone else in getting their own happily ever after, and she’s got the perfect self-help book to do it. In fact, that was a very interesting side road to explore in this story. Seems Amy has some mixed-up ideas about sex and its role in a marriage. In addition, it’s nearly impossible to sleep in canadian viagra professional that much pain so a sleeping pill would be of some benefit too. They would truly best viagra india help men in getting rid of this problem naturally and securely. Abused men often hide out in abusive relationships because their shame getting viagra in australia unica-web.com shields them from change. The author did a nice job of weaving a little life lesson in there for women in real life. It wasn’t heavy handed by any means. Not only was it effective but it was fun, especially when Amy took control and let herself fly. Jake was a very happy man. And I was a very entertained reader.

As far as the conflict goes, it was a light one. SEALed and Delivered is a character driven romance with the plot being based on the hero and heroine ironing out their differences in what they wanted from and for each other, getting over a past, a dangerous job, a struggling family B & B and their own internal angst. There were no actual villains harmed in the telling of this tale — unless you count a deck of cards and the demolishing of innocent cookies.

SEALed and Delivered is an easy, breezy, steamy and delightful story that inspires hormones to hum and chuckles to break out. It’s a fantastic read for any time that a reader needs a book that explores the fun of falling in love. Ms. Monroe has a reputation for creating characters and situations that always deliver smiles, sighs and appreciation of unusual personality quirks. If a reader is in any doubt, pick up your own copy of SEALed and Delivered and see for yourself how much trouble a little deck of cards can be. It’ll be worth it.

What would you do if you could see your future? Would you accept it or would you change it?

Mariah Davis loves animals, running, and her hunk of a boyfriend, Kevin Creamer. Everything looks bright for her until the day she finds a pair of sunglasses that allow her to see the future.

When she glimpses a disaster looming, she tries to avoid it but fails. She has a car accident that lands her in a wheelchair, smashing her hopes for a running scholarship to the veterinary program at Ohio State University. She pushes Kevin away, thinking he’ll want to end their relationship now that she can’t walk.

Will she ever learn to trust and love again? She could search for an answer in the sunglasses. But she’s afraid what they reveal might destroy her.

Suzanne Lilly’s ‘Shades of the Future’ is a quick trip into the most-happening lives in a small town ever.

Honey Creek seems normal enough, from the diner to the general location, the everyday folks as well as the teens, like Mariah Davis. Mariah’s an ordinary teen, isn’t she? She’s got goals – like running a marathon and getting into college. She’s not superstitious and she’s got some good friends. She’s got a perfectly good boyfriend. They all take part in raising funds for a benefit – all very contemporary. Life is far from boring too, as friend Hayley’s paranoia leads to moments of real suspense.

And then, quite accidentally, Mariah finds a pair of sunglasses.

Suddenly, everything changes. Mariah can see the future. Or, can she? All our doubts fly aside as Mariah’s own doubts increase. We readers feel a thrill of premonition ourselves when we hear Eulalie’s caution:

“When you start messing around with fortune telling and seeing the future, sooner or later you might see things you don’t want to know about.”

Is the future really ‘like a train coming?” That thought will recur as you read, and …there is just no putting this book down after that. Can Mariah see the future – and more importantly, can she change it? As events unfold, we realize this is not only an adventure for Mariah, but truly a personal journey.  Shades of the Future becomes the classic ‘page-turner’ early on and simply never lets go. It has light moments as well as dark moments. Subtle humor and casual conversation are as well presented as serious, life-altering moments.

Although the suspenseful part of this keeps you riveted, the characters continue to delight along the way. Hayley and Kevin and Granma and even dear old cook Eulalie are a few of a host of wonderful, complex characters. If I had one complaint it was that the author’s preoccupation with food just killed my diet (from the Elvis sandwich to the chocolate beet cake, not to mention the biscuits with gravy for breakfast).

The charming setting of Honey Creek is tangibly real and in some respects, so believable as to be an ‘everyday’ location; a spot where any of us might visit relatives…off the beaten track, but real. Its so charmingly rural you notice scents like honeysuckle drifting in the windows.

The story is unpredictable and surprising, has funny moments and wonderful characters. This is ultimately the coolest YA book I’ve ever read: You don’t have to be a teen to love this book!

What the bottle from Aldebaran held was not wine, but the memories of his lost love.

Broken-hearted and alone, a retired Shakespearean actor sifts through the possessions of his dead love in a desperate attempt to keep his dreams of her alive. The discovery of a strange bottle containing the liquescent record of another human being—memories, feelings, experiences—gives Boris hope that another such bottle exists; one that contains the distilled essence of his lost Année. A desperate quest to posses her last thoughts will wrench him away from everything he has ever known to an alien world beyond the stars, where the human soul can be bottled, stored—and savored.

One of the most frustrating things about grieving the loss of a loved one is the finality of death. Over time I’ve forgotten small details about my deceased friends and family members- the sound of their laughter, for example, or what it felt like to slip into old conversational patterns with them. What if this didn’t have to occur, though? How would the act of grieving change if it was possible to bottle the essence of a human being and reawaken all of those seemingly inconsequential memories?

The nostalgia in Remember Me drapes over the narrative like a warm embrace. More than anything Boris wishes he could have more time with his Année. Boris’ sorrow is nuanced and at times comes out in surprising ways. I wasn’t expecting to sympathize with his experiences so deeply but this story followed the emotional roller coaster of grief so well that more than once I felt as if I was walking in Boris’ shadow.

In the beginning I wished readers could know more about what Boris and Année’s lives were like before her death. One scene made me wonder if Boris’s personality and habits changed dramatically after Année’s death. In a longer piece it would have made sense to explore this possibility in greater detail but perhaps a sequel will be written one day to explore Boris’s character in greater detail! The ending certainly lends itself to this possibility.

Remember Me is one of the most realistic snapshots of grief I have ever read. It’s a difficult experience to capture especially in the short story format but Ms. Bergmann did a beautiful job recreating the messy, sometimes complicated process of mourning.
