On the island where they first met two lovers from opposite sides of the tracks are reunited. Now jaded and broken, Alex and Matt still can’t deny their sizzling connection or the memories of one perfect, uninhibited year together.

At twenty-two, Matt Tarrington is rich, good-looking and destined to be powerful, but behind that confident exterior lurks a man who resents the life his family thrust upon him. Wanting an escape, Matt heads to Mirabella Island off the coast of Florida for a year of relaxation and a few wild nights with vacationing party-girls.

Matt never expected to find real passion in the arms of Alex Hunter, a handsome, laid-back local. Alex is gay, but closeted. Knowing Matt should be off limits, Alex finds the deeply-in-denial rich boy too tempting to ignore. Especially when a bet has them working together, fighting the heat in the rundown, beachside cafe where Alex sweats for every dollar.

Their love felt inevitable until youth left them vulnerable to hatred and greed. After six years of hating the lies they live to make others happy, they will have to risk it all for the second chance they both desperately need.

What was meant to be a year of fun and relaxation turned into a soul deep, life changing experience.

Alex Hunter is the stereotypical beach bum, working only enough to get by and parties all night. Living with his brother and his best friend/pseudo girlfriend Holly, they live the typical lifestyle of those on the wrong side of the beach. With no real ambitions, and no cares in the world, Alex is blissfully ignorant of all the things life has to offer. Until Matt walks into his job.

Matt Tarrington is a college graduate with the weight of the world poised to settle on his shoulders. But Matt isn’t looking forward to stepping into his father’s footsteps, the same that led his father to an early grave. Deciding to spend a year at the beach, the same he spent his summers on, Matt just want to live and relax before he’s shackled to a desk for the rest of his life. What he wasn’t expecting was meeting someone who would change his entire world.

Matt was known as a ladies’ man, but little did the world know that he’d secretly lusted after a few men over the years, including Alex. Something about the man had lit Matt’s fire since high school. Luckily for him, Alex wanted Matt in return. Being in the closet, Alex had to be careful of who he came on to, but Matt gave out all the signs of an interested party. When the passion ignites, neither are prepared for the trail is leaves behind.

I loved this book! I will admit that the previous M/M books I have read have never tickled my fancy the way this book did. I think the author did a fabulous with the character development of both Matt and Alex. First the sex and passion ignited the page, wow, but then the love and romance swept in like an ocean wave and really made this book sizzle. It was a typical love story of people from opposite sides of the tracks, or beach in this case, but Kele Moon did a great job of finding a middle ground.

If you are a fan of sexy Alpha boy loving with a dash of sweet and a whole lot of passion, then this is a book for you. I will be dipping into this author’s backlist to see what other treasures I can find!
