Anthony has never let on to the general public that he’s a vampire, and most of his staff members have no idea Boston Uncommon was a safe gathering place for supernaturals of all kinds. Now that it’s nothing but ash, the tentative peace among warring factions is starting to crumble. The last thing he wants to do is put Claudia in danger, but he also knows there’s no way he can let her go…

Anthony and Claudia’s story is one that merges the paranormal and real world seamlessly. At times I felt as if vampires, shifters and wizards could really exist, because the story just seemed so natural.

Anthony may not be human any longer, but his still seems to have may human traits. Compassion and kinship are two of the strongest traits he seems to exhibit in this story. It is also what drives him to pursue Claudia, as well as try to bring the paranormal world together. There was one thing I did find contradictory about his life, and that is bits of his past. They mention his killing of humans in the past and allude to the fact that it was in some cases a choice and not out of necessity. This seems to go against everything Anthony is in modern day. Other than that I absolutely enjoyed him.

Claudia is a great character and person. I love the personality flaws she has such as alcoholism because it made her that much more real to me. She seems to struggle with herself, but not her need to help others and care for them. It is what helps me understand why Anthony wants her so badly and makes me want to best for her.

The plotline of this story was truly entertaining. I have to admit that I have not read a book so quickly in a long time because I just could not put it down. This story offered the complete package, from internal conflicts, antagonist, intriguing subplots, and a remarkable supporting character list. Ruxandra, Anthony’s psycho ex-girlfriend and Gaia a.k.a. mother earth are only a few of the characters who stole my heart. Hands down this was an entertaining read and one I would highly recommend.

But you need cheap online cialis not worry as there is no side effect of the product. It can occur due to chronic masturbation, anxiety, unhealthy body, stress, sexual abuse, guilt feelings, abnormal hormone levels, etc. order generic levitra selling here Only One Man Will Do started as an erotic novel, with lot of hot sex between two complete strangers and then becomes a suspense novel. It was an interesting book in which our heroine meets her match, all loose ends are tied up and villain isn’t terribly difficult to figure out.

The characters are interesting and complex, especially Alexandra. During the week she’s a business woman who runs the business she inherited from her father, trying to prove to him that she knows how to run it. But on the weekends she’s a leader of a biker (and sex) gang. What is consistent in her character is that in both of her “lives” Alexandra is a tough, independent lady and she doesn’t allow anyone to mess around with her. Her business and her private life are strictly separated and she is doing fine job keeping them that way.

Dimitri is not so much a complex character as a mysterious one. I liked the way the author created an aura of secrecy around him. He’s a man with a thousand faces, but he’s also the only one who could tame Alexandra. And he manages to do that by becoming the only man for her, but he did not change the things that made her her and that is what I liked about their relationship.

I think, maybe, I expected a bit more variety in the sex. Yes, the author flirts a bit with ménages and voyeurism and there is some BDSM and indications of anal sex, but the author did not go into much detailed descriptions of any of them. What was there, focused mainly on Alexandra and Dimitri and was steamy and full of tension.

This may not be an issue for some readers but for me there was a downside to this story. It’s in the category of safety hazards, such as unprotected sex, riding bikes without helmets and drinking alcohol while pregnant. I think I would have personally enjoyed this novella more if these issues hadn’t caught my attention.

Still, while Only One Man Will Do may have its flaws it is not a boring read. On the contrary, it was an entertaining read and one I could recommend. It’s a fast paced story, especially the second half. If you like tough ladies and mysterious Russians, then this story is for you.

Obstacle: Deploy “Mission: (Fake) Engagement”…without actually falling for his fiancée!

The goal of Mission: Engagement is simple—a fake engagement concocted to bring happiness to Sage Taylor’s ailing father.

The Rules:

1) Treat it like a military mission
Hormonal factors: In our body there are several ways in which erectile dysfunction could be looked at: Getting erections which are neither rigid nor complete (lazy erections), or are lost more quickly than would normally be the case; often before or during penetration, can be a symptom of a failure of achieving or gaining firm erections side effects of tadalafil has now been replaced by the similar J-STD-001 Class 3. 3) The “engagement” lasts as long as the professor’s health depends on it; and

4) No sex…especially with each other!

But the incredibly spirited (and a touch quirky) Sage has never been one for rules. Especially when they involve Aiden’s rock-hard navy bod and a ton of smokin’-hot sexual attraction. Which means in order to seduce this sexy SEAL, she’ll have to completely outmaneuver him….

Romance fans of the “friends turned lovers” theme are in for a treat when they pick up a copy of A SEAL’s Kiss. The whole book is a long, wet, slow slide into seduction and a very fun read.

Sage and Aiden are good together. What I liked was getting the goods on their feelings and Ms. Weber made that possible by telling the story in each the protagonists’ point of view. I enjoyed seeing how the seeds of love are there, but life, the characters’ choices and their assumptions got in the way. The author used a well-known technique of peer pressure and family crisis to set the stage for the inevitable. The machinations were believable because she crafted two characters whose actions made sense because of the way they were written – personable, responsible and fighting their natural inclinations. It’s the internal conflict between them that lit the fires of passion, and like a runaway fire, took on a life of its own, consuming them to the point they thought of nothing else except wanting to touch and be touched. Pure seduction.

There are fluffy secondary characters that helped set the tone and stage for Sage and Aiden getting together. What I mean by fluffy doesn’t refer to animals but characters that don’t have a lot of depth or screen time, but the author made the most of them to get Aiden and Sage on the right path. I got the impression they were loving and supportive of the hero and heroine which means the protagonists were well thought of. It was necessary to provide a sense of community and it worked.

Dialogue was oftentimes witty, insightful or downright delicious, especially when Sage sets out to flirt, taunt and seduce Aiden. The results were dynamic and steamy. My favorite ploy that Aiden used was “What would Sage do?” and I loved the results.

I really enjoyed getting to meet Sage. She’s a fun heroine with a sunny disposition but she’s not as shallow as she lets on. She proves it time and again throughout the book. I liked Aiden; of course Ms. Weber described him in such sensual detail, how could I not? ::grin::

Curling up with a A SEAL’s Kiss in a comfy chair is a perfect way to spend some quality downtime. It’s amusing, hot and engaging, and for me, a one sitting read. I didn’t want to put the book down; I was having fun and didn’t want it to end until I reached the happy ever after. The HEA was worth the wait. Try it and see for yourself.

Anna Milovich was born to be in the virgin auctions whether she liked it or not. When it’s her turn to stand on the auction block she is horrified to find out her future husband is a sadistic and cruel man. But then she is drugged and kidnapped and taken away from the only life she has ever known. She just doesn’t know if it’s a blessing or a nightmare.

Anna realizes it isn’t just one brother that has her, but two, and one of them is the only man she has ever wanted—Luca Graison. With fear of being found by her family and the man that bought her, she has no choice but to let the Graison brothers protect and take care of her. She may have always dreamed of her independence, but Anna can’t deny the comfort she feels surrendering her mind and body to the brothers.

Virgins for sale! You’re not likely to see that posted in the local newspaper. But in this strange world where Anna Milovich lives, young girls born in wealthy families are auctioned off like artwork, and usually to rich men who consider them nothing more than sex toys.

Earlier, when people did not have helps like Kamagra, they went with yoga that worked steadily and slightly to levitra samples free improve the quality of erections. Several cialis cheap generic men lack sexual prowess required to keep the mental state calm and smooth. Obviously, these causes do not have cute-n-tiny.com non prescription viagra any instant cure. The problems happen when either too many toxins are accumulated in the buying that cheapest cialis body or the organs for elimination of the toxins are overwhelmed and become weak due to aging or diseases. Anna knew her sole purpose in life was to please her future “husband” in any way he saw fit. I use the term husband loosely as it seems in this world, once a man purchases you, he’s your spouse and you belong to him. These poor girls don’t get a white wedding, a fancy gown, or an elegant reception. They spend several years conditioning and learning to be the perfect plaything for whomever wins their bid. On auction day, they are marched onto a stage, stripped, and basically forced to expose every intimate aspect of their anatomy to a group of horny old goats with more money than they know what to do with, and absolutely no sense of decency. Though she longed to be poor and have a choice in who she wed and ultimately gave herself to, Anna knows her place and her obligation. With head held high, she does exactly what she’s been trained to do.

We don’t really get a lot of specific details about Anna. From what I gathered, she’s a voluptuous girl with a little bit of padding, unlike many other girls her age who were thin and had small breasts. Unfortunately, this catches the attention of some bidders who had a reputation for treating their “brides” terribly. Poor Anna is destined for a very unhappy life.

Although she knows she can never have the man she wants or chooses, Anna can’t help her secret infatuation with Luca, the family chauffer. She catches him looking at her from time to time, but never dare speaks to him. If caught, they’d both be severely punished. When Luca disappears one day, Anna is saddened and misses him, but her auction date looms near and she knows her life is meant for a different path.

Luca is an even bigger enigma. We know very little about him until he reappears along with his brother to intercede in Anna’s auction. From there, the story takes quite a turn. Whisked away to a whole new life with the possibility of not only having the man she’s secretly longed for, but his older brother as well, Anna quickly blossoms into a new woman.

The Brothers’ Virgin Captive is one of those books that you just kind of have to sit back and enjoy the fantasy of it a bit, without getting too critical of the content. There were many things that didn’t make much sense to me, or even seemed logical. But in this world where young rich girls are auctioned off like cattle, I just had to accept that things wouldn’t make sense. There were times when I felt like the characters were—for lack of a better description—out of character and it made it difficult for me to accept their behavior if I scrutinized them too closely. When I quit trying to rationalize their actions and let myself just enjoy their tale, I realized that it was a likeable book. I went through a gamut of emotions and found myself rooting for not only the heroine, but some of the secondary characters as well. I did notice a few point of view violations, but nothing that really deterred from the story. Overall, I found The Brothers’ Virgin Captive intriguing. The night and day difference between Luca and his brother, as well as their approach and treatment of Anna when it came to intimacy, proved exciting and even a bit exhilarating at times. Together, they made a perfect man.

One brother thoughtful and understanding, the other strong-willed and demanding, put them together and you’re bound to have a titillating experience both in the bedroom and out. The Brothers’ Virgin Captive provides an interesting concept in a world corrupt with power, money, and sex. Anna is a hapless girl caught in the middle of her parents’ greed and the lure of money. When her trip to the auction block takes an unexpected turn, the result is an intriguing story that certainly caught me off guard and had me curious to see what happened next.

I suspected one truth but that was only the tip of the iceberg and why I found this novel so intriguing. It all revolves around a woman. She’s mysterious, she’s talented and she’s in danger – or is she? Her name is Divine and she is a very independent woman and is the heroine. She’s also nurturing, helpful, even loving, but it’s balanced with a healthy dose of fear, mistrust and confusion. The heroine has a lot of components to her personality that made me like her, feel sad for her, and cheer for her. There were other times where I was a bit irritated because I thought she was slow on the uptake. Ultimately, I found there was an actual reason for that failing – and it wasn’t necessarily her fault.

I discovered so much about Divine until the light bulb went off in my head, ‘Aha’! When Ms. Sands decides to tie all the loose ends, she does a good job of it, Thing is, it took me a bit to realize that this dangling thread occurred in books past and I was wowed. At no time did I ever expect it to turn out as it did in Vampire Most Wanted. Also amazing is, after reading this book, the title can be interpreted two different ways. I found that very cool.

Marcus, the hero, is in a fix. He has to be himself but pretend to be someone he’s not. Not the way to make a good first impression on one’s future life mate. I always enjoy how the author has her characters figure out who their life mate is because of their ‘symptoms’. Marcus has some serious strategizing to do in this book because Divine isn’t going to be easy to woo. Of course that means I had a fun time reading about all the fun they get into in the process.

It wasn’t all amusement and games however. There is a very serious aspect of this story that alternated between disgusting me, horrifying me or down right making me sad enough to sniffle. Once the truth comes out, ALL the truths, it’s heartbreaking. What it comes down to is Divine having to make choices and some of them are going to be extremely tough to do. The author’s writing in this was powerful, dramatic and very emotional. I can’t imagine any reader remaining unaffected by the some of the revelations.

When Marcus and Divine succumb to the mating frenzy, once again, Ms. Sands finds ways to keep it fresh, fascinating and at times, even funny. I expect readers to find themselves smiling here and there throughout the tale just because a few of the instances were hilarious, like the broom incident – oh my gosh did I get a giggle out of that. Not Marcus though, but Vincent did. Then again, Vincent recounted an incident with Jackie that totally had me snickering and giggling. So, yes, Ms. Sands continues with her tradition of humor even when the suspense is thick. However, when the passion is hot, the writing is smoking.

Secondary characters are key in helping the plot move along at a nice clip. Mind reading is a clever trick. Dialogue is entertaining as usual and the location, the carnival, was unique and fun.

Vampire Most Wanted has a lot of surprises in store for fans of the series. It’s a well-rounded, engrossing and engaging story with many charming interactions between the characters. It was interesting figuring Divine out and fascinating watching her and Marcus fall in love. This is a great addition to the long running series and a definite recommend. Even new fans can enjoy this book with the only caveat being that they might end up being curious to find and read all the books that came before. If this book accomplishes that, they’re going to be in for a treat because some are even better than this one, but all are worth reading.

Every lesson brings her closer and closer to the boy next door whom she’s never had a romantic thought about before in her life. Each caress and playful scenario has Ellie wishing more for her best friend’s affection than the boy he’s teaching her to woo.

I liked the premise of friends turning into a couple and “tutor me to seduce that guy/girl only to fall in love with the tutor” stories and that was what drove me to Melissa Frost‘s The Dating Tutor. I cannot say that this was the best story in this category that I ever read, but all in all I liked it.

Both Alec and Ellie were not aware that they liked each other as more than friends until Ellie asks Alec to help her out with some dating tutoring. At first I did not particularly like the way Alec advises Ellie, and I didn’t like her meek responses and complete insecurity. Luckily that changed during the course of the story and in the end Ellie turns out to be a stronger and more confident girl who gained both respect and love from Alec.

From the summary of the story it was quite obvious that Alec and Ellie would end up together; it was just a question of which path they would take to the realization and declaration of love. I liked the path they took, because that way both Alec and Ellie learned something about themselves and they changed. Their romance is sweet and although I knew they would end up together I was happy when they did. Another good feature of the story is that author did not choose some overcomplicated love triangle with too much drama in it.

Unfortunately there is one thing in this story that bothered me as a mother of girls, and it was this: Alec and Ellie are neighbors and that is how they became best friends. Alec has this habit of sneaking into Ellie’s room through the window. The thing I cannot believe is that none of their parents knew about that or if somebody knew (especially Ellie’s mother) that it did not bother them. It seems to me that the author came up with this whole sneaking in and out of window just for the sake of the story without fully considering the situation. This bit of implausibility, while noticeable, did not keep me from enjoying the rest of their story.

The Dating Tutor was a fun story to read. I liked how the characters developed. I also enjoyed how they fell in love and how they resolved their problems to find their HEA. I noticed that Melissa Frost wrote a sequel to The Dating Tutor, this time from Alec’s POV, and I would like to read it as well. This short story was good and I can recommend it to readers who are looking for sweet romance for young adults.

Without even realising it, you’ve been thoroughly enmeshed in a tangle of shadows and both your lives are at stake…

Sometimes thoughts are the scariest things of all.

There are traces of Edgar Allen Poe’s writing style in this collection. Mr. Hart knows exactly how to inject a dark ribbon of dread into what should be an completely ordinary sequence of events. His use of uncommon, slightly antiquated vocabulary and his ability to step into the mind of characters whose understanding of reality isn’t always analogous to how other people would interpret certain events also reminds me of Poe’s work. This is a particularly good book for readers new to the horror genre who aren’t necessarily familiar with all of the sub genres because so many of them are included in these tales.

“Freak of Nurture” caught my attention immediately. Mr. Hart’s description of what it feels like to live with anxiety is extremely accurate. Christian is not always an easy character to like due to how quickly he’s willing to stereotype and judge others, but seeing how his fears affect every aspect of his life gave me sympathy for his plight. There is quite a bit of telling instead of showing in this piece, though, and for that reason it is the weakest one in this book.

By far my favourite story is “The Voice of Ignition.” Anton is a chilling and nuanced antagonist who terrified me within a few paragraphs. Figuring out how he repeatedly eluded the authorities made it impossible for me to stop reading. The final scene alone would have made me give this tale a much higher rating if it had been released on its own.

Framing the plot as the content of a letter gave a unique perspective to “A Tangle of Shadows.” More than once I was convinced I understood what was happening only to be surprised by yet another plot twist. While I had some trouble figuring out the ending, the dialogue was so well-written that I enjoyed going back to determine what had actually happened.

Dollar Dreadful Vol. 1: A Tangle of Shadows is a frightening and thought-provoking collection of short stories that I would recommend to anyone who likes psychological horror.

What Jake feels is resistance toward him, is really Lisa’s distrust of men caused by a previous relationship centered on domestic violence. Lisa desperately searches for Ernest’s killer while fighting her feelings for Jake and trying to mend the pain from her past.

Baltimore Homicide Detective Lisa Swanson is called to investigate a battered and bruised homicide victim, Ernest Juarez. His best friend, wheel chair bound Jake Jenson finds his battered body. Inappropriately at the scene of the crime, Jake blurts out that Detective Dee is beautiful.

I enjoyed several aspects of this book, for instance the murder suspense storyline is interesting and the book kept me in suspense. I wasn’t able to solve the murder until the author revealed the killer which made for a good story. The writing style had a nice flow. The author was not too wordy, she gave just enough information to keep me in suspense, not leaving me lost in a maze of too much information and too many characters as some authors tend to do.

What I didn’t like about the book was the character Jake. He was annoying, pushy, persistent and pretty much borderline stalking and obstructing justice. He shows up questioning those that knew his friend Ernest, he is at the police station wanting to follow along on the investigation. He shows up at Lisa’s house. He is also persistent in having a relationship with Lisa. Lisa tells Jake she isn’t ready to give her heart but he continues to pursue her. I am all for men standing behind what they want and showing their interest in a woman, but after a point it gets scary and he needs to move on because she isn’t interested.

With the title of the book being Bruised several of the relationships in the book relate to abuse. This gives the storyline many layers. Both Jake and Lisa are emotionally scarred from things that happened in their past. The story has good potential and the mystery portion was strong. I am interested in reading more about Detective Lisa and her history of abuse.

I would recommend Bruised, it is a quick murder mystery read, with two people trying to find their way to love again.

Bryce Huttner wasn’t looking for a one-night stand or a backroom fling when he agreed to go out with Jamie and Maddy, two of his closest friends, to the local club. But, when he encountered a charming stranger on the dance floor, the man was almost enough to make him change his mind. That was until the encounter was cut depressingly short.

When they eventually met again, Bryce was surprised to see that Felix’s interest in him had not wavered at all. Felix seemed determined to win him over and had a never ending supply of horrible pick-up lines at his disposal.

Bryce quickly found himself torn between holding strong and giving into the desire to let Felix pick him up for real.

Bryce didn’t get the chance to go clubbing and let loose very often and he genuinely missed having fun. But money was tight and he needed all the extra hours he could get. When his best friend insisted though, Bryce found himself unable to refuse. Seduced out on the dance floor by a handsome stranger, Bryce found himself unexpectedly at a loss when Felix Cranshaw left him with a business card and feeling of unfulfilment. Not one to indulge in a one night stand, Bryce lets the opportunity pass him by and quickly gets back to his regular life. A new job – one that brings him back into Felix’s orbit – sets him back onto the path of the one who got away.

I really enjoyed this short story. With two interesting main characters that instantly drew me in and a smoking hot opening scene I found this to be a refreshingly different read. Bryce doesn’t just jump into bed with Felix – though he’s sorely tempted to. The chemistry between the two men is smoking hot, but far better than that was the descriptions of their first few interactions. The depth the author placed on their connection and the starts of their relationship was something I often miss in short stories and I thought was exceedingly well written. While a wham, bam thank you ma’am style quickie is always alluring, all too often it leaves me wondering how the main characters could really go on from there. As Bryce and Felix interact and the chemistry smolders between them, their attraction to each other and deepening feelings left me as a reader in no doubt that theirs was a far more solid relationship. Not just a passing fancy.

I would have really loved if the story had been a bit longer, maybe taking Bryce and Felix through that final scene or with one more. I feel it would have rounded out the story just that little bit more, but am unsure if there was a word limit or something similar that restricted the author. Apart from that mild complaint this is a lovely story, full of cheesy pick-up lines, good humour, and what I thought was a solid, realistic and thoroughly enjoyable connection between two men. There isn’t anything too outwardly kinky or offensive and I thought the sex was hot, tasteful and really well written.

I’d recommend this to friends who are interested in reading M/M but don’t want to push the envelope too far. There is only the one sex scene – so those who like more action might be left a little wanting in that sense, but personally I feel that the strength of the connection between Bryce and Felix, and the interactions between them as they get to know each other makes this a more fulfilling story than instant sex and copious scenes of that would have given. A refreshing story that left me with a big grin and a curiosity to read more by this author.
