Can a mere mortal Viking tame the daughter of a goddess?

When Scotland’s King Kenneth orders his death and kidnaps his sister, the Viking Brökk—the Malice Striker—plans his vengeance: he’ll steal the king’s bastard daughter from Sumbarten Abbey and use her to buy his sister’s freedom. But his schemes go awry when his liege lord commands him to wed Skatha—and when he finds five women instead of one at the Abbey, none will claim the King as father.

When the Viking abducts Skatha and her women, she’s bewildered. Why did Brökk seize her? Why does he want her for his wife? She weds him willingly enough when he threatens to kill her companions, but she vows to control her own destiny and escape. For if the Viking discovers her secrets, the laws of his people will force him to cast her aside…or kill her. And even Skatha, daughter of a goddess, might not escape the Viking’s wrath…

For a short term there can be a feel of typical condition where the blood is not supplied to the penile organ in an appropriate and timely manner. free cialis This was awesome book! It was a multidimensional story-and not unlike a delicious Oreo cookie – I couldn’t say which part I liked best. Yes, I went there.

The story starts off with a bang. Brokk has just kidnapped the girls and is trying to discover which one of them is the King’s daughter. When the fierce viking threatens her friends, Skatha steps forward and reveals her identity. The bastard daughter of Scotland’s king and a goddess, this girl is nobody’s pushover. But it was when she met Brokk’s arrogant demand that they marry with a few of her own demands that I got my first glimpse of her true spirit. Yet, it was the Brokk’s arrogant demeaner that got me curious about what kind of hero the writer had created.

The writer created exciting characters that were vibrant and easy to like. Now, I’ll admit that my first impression of Brokk was all wrong. I thought he was one of those blood thirsty beserkers who was going to break my beloved heroine’s heart. How wrong I was. Brokk was the quintessential alpha hero – strong but caring. While Skatha was the perfect heroine – spunky yet vulnerable. They were perfect for each other in every way. Even in their honesty. After a rocky start to their relationship , Brokk and Skatha were truthful with each other. He told her the truth about the events that brought them together. And despite the reality that it could mean the end for her , Skatha revealed everything about herself. Ms.Carlo created the perfect couple – each with their own physical imperfections and insecurities.

This muti-layered story is very character driven. But the bones of every good romance novel is the HEAT. Ms. Carlo definitely brought the heat with this steamy story. The love scenes were scorching hot and OMG! delicious. The love between the two leads was wildly romantic and they admitted their love early on in the story. Brokk stole a piece of my heart with his unconditional acceptance of Skatha. Even though he over-reacted a bit in his need to protect her it only endeared him to this reader even more.

And now we come to the climactic ending that even I never saw coming. The true villain was revealed with a flurry of surprising twists and turns. I sure didn’t see that one coming. Even more welcome was the bit of humor between Brokk and the Abbess at the end.

Bottom line: Malice Striker is a top notch historical romance . This story grabbed my attention and kept me flipping those pages well into the night. I just couldn’t put it down until the end and it still left me wanting more. Just like that delicious Oreo cookie. LOL! Seriously… it’s a great start to the new series. If you’re looking for a steamy story to loose yourself in for a few hours with characters that you can’t forget ….then this is the book for you. I’m giving Malice Striker five flying stars and my highest recommendation.

Since Hank Calder’s four-year-old niece, Josie, came to live with him, his life has been plenty dramatic, thank you, and the last thing he needs is a swishy, flaming twinkie to complicate things. But when Justin, the daycare worker at his gym, offers to do something incredibly nice for Hank—and for Josie—Hank is forced to reconsider. Justin may be flamboyant in his speech and gestures, but his heart and kindness are as rock steady and dependable as anyone, even Hank, could ask for. Can Hank trust in his dramatic “turkey in the snow” to offer his heart the joy he and Josie have never known?

Both natural penis enlargement pills and gels contain traditional click here for info purchase cialis ingredients such as Ginkgo Biloba Leaf, Ginseng, Hawthorn Berry and Horny Goat Weed, which are known to help overcome impotence and experience penis enlargement. Myth: Machos Have Marathon Sex that Lasts for Hours Some people think that macho men make it for cialis tadalafil hours in bed, while it is not a controlled substance or narcotic.According to the U.S. It is respitecaresa.org purchase viagra online that serves customers from any nation or country -worldwide. Sometimes the drama you don’t think you want is really just what you need. Hank is determined not to make the same mistakes twice. His last serious boyfriend was an over the top twink, sleeping with many people at once. Hoping to avoid drama altogether, Hank is dismissive of the cute but obviously swishy child caretaker Justin at his local gym. Trying to give his niece Josie a Merry Christmas and stable home at the same time as keeping his sanity takes all of Hank’s energy. Justin may be just the kind of drama Hank wants to avoid, but his help proves essential.

Turkey in the Snow is a quick holiday story with a feel good ending. Hank is a stable guy working at a bank and exists between working and taking care of his niece. Hank’s sister (Josie’s mother) dropped the little girl off one day and disappeared. His sister is known for her wild ways, so Hank is determined to keep and take care of Josie. That includes staying far away from cute but dangerous twink types. Hank is a nice character. He’s not particularly exciting per se but he’s well rounded and realistic. His determination and care for his niece is heart warming.

On the flip side Justin is a cute ball of energy. Maybe a bit too much energy as his personality comes across way over the top and initially I couldn’t see why Hank was so attracted to the very type that burned him before. However the story does a nice job developing both men and their relationship so the nuances and differences emerge. The plot moves along very quickly and a happy ending takes place mere days from the start of the book so there is a lot packed into a short amount of time. It leaves some details to be desired but overall the quick pace, nice characters, and sweet message make for a delicious holiday offering.

A Highland Wolf on a Mission…

Duncan MacNeill is hell-bent on catching the thief who’s stolen the clan’s fortune and run off to Grand Cayman Island. Duncan has rarely left his homeland and he couldn’t care less about an island paradise. He never expected to find a beautiful distraction who will show him just how appealing paradise can be…

Meets a Dangerous Distraction…

Lone wolf and botanist Shelley Campbell headed to the island to study the old growth forests. She didn’t count on meeting a handsome Highlander who can’t keep his paws off her.

They are completely packed with vitamins, online cialis minerals and omega-3s. If a reader is searching for a romance story which has an effective outside conflict that doesn’t allow all that drama and suspense to darken the growing relationship between two people, then this book is totally perfect.

What I mean is, A Howl for a Highlander uses the conflict to spice up, speed along and stir the plot making the relationship between Duncan and Shelley possible, fascinating and thoroughly entertaining. How Shelley reacts to Duncan’s edicts showcases how strong a female character she is. When she gets this twinkle in her eye and spouts off naughty dialogue that encourages Duncan’s kilt to rise, it makes for fun reading. When she stands behind her man and growls, she shows us a heroine who is the perfect match for the equally growly hero.

Duncan, on the other hand, is a man who needed taming. For so long he’s been the fixer, the doer and the protector; he’s become used to people jumping when he says to. Shelly doesn’t jump; she glares and does her own thing. I liked that the hero respected her for that. It drove him nuts, absolutely, but in the end, he wouldn’t have her any other way. The most fun aspect of his courting her is his inability to resist her. The scene with that tiny string thing was hot. The whole swimming in the ocean part was sexy and I had a ball reading about the hero fighting all those pirates. And the term, “male pissing contest” sort of took on a whole new meaning in this story. I giggled. I know for the wolf it was a serious thing but then Shelley comes along and did a certain something, it had me appreciating her more while it had Duncan green with jealousy thinking about what “might” happen. He’s such an all-around hunk of a Highlander and he fits the role beautifully.

The villain is potentially a red herring. Because of the dubious nature and the many hoops of conjecture that Duncan and Shelley have to jump through in trying to figure things out while trying to stay alive, I’m not going to explore too much lest I give a crucial plot point away. I’ll just say that in a way, I feel sad for the villain because I really think it’s more nurture than nature that played a roll in choosing the direction of life’s choices. I’m being purposely ambiguous but I can affirm that the villain was well written, cleverly positioned and placed throughout the story as well as effective at being bad. As evil and horrific as “dead bodies in a pool” sounds, it is actually quite comedic and I did laugh. Call me twisted.

Another fun aspect of this story comes from some of the secondary characters. There are some quick cameos from Duncan’s brother Ian, a Cavalry moment with one of the other brothers and Uncle Ethan. I don’t think there’d be a book on its own dedicated to Shelley’s uncle or uncles but they’d sure be a fun secondary line of romance in future books. Just think – gruff, hardened bachelors finding love in the old country with equally staunch and canny wolf-women making them toe the line and the fireworks that ensue – yes, indeed, I saw a hint of that in this book and it made me chuckle.

When the action got a bit tense and eventful, Ms. Spear managed to keep the writing focused and tight, insuring that a reader will experience the effect of heightened blood pressure, quickened breath and, if so inclined, the biting of nails when the big fight/chase scene occurs.

A Howl for a Highlander tells a tale that defines the word, ‘sexy’. There’s nothing more fun than being seduced by a confident Scottish Highlander who doesn’t mind letting you know what’s under his kilt. What is more refreshing is reading about a woman who is not intimidated by him in the least, but stands nose to nose, tail to tail and comes out on top – at least for a little while. Add to that, the very tantalizing descriptions of a man and his first Speedo and a reader has a lot to smile about while reading this latest adventure by Ms. Spear. My advice to readers is to leave plenty of time to kick back and visit with Duncan and Shelley because once started, this book is hard to put down. It’s that fun.

Mellow old Philadelphia, where life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness have flourished for centuries, now has a new claim to fame. The City of Brotherly Love has been proclaimed number one in the nation…for hostility. English teacher Amanda Pepper, crabbily gearing up for summer school at exclusive Philly Prep, feels she fits right in with the hostility mode.

And it’s going to get worse. Amanda gets her first prickling of unease in her own classroom, where a reading of Romeo and Juliet activates some very strange chemistry. Then the computer science teacher begins receiving anonymous “go-back-to-Africa” phone calls. A young Vietnamese boy dies in a drive-by shooting. And late one night, outside a Chinatown massage parlor, student April Tuong is kidnapped.

Random violence? Perhaps. But Amanda refuses to let gentle April vanish without at least asking a few questions, starting in her own classroom.

The truth, when she finds it, is appalling, deadly, and much too close to home.

Lazy, hazy days of summer, spent in a classroom teaching summer school to unresponsive teenagers. Mandy Pepper likes to think she’s doing her bit for the students, but the extra money helps too.

Death visits in a drive by shooting outside the school, then one of her pupils disappears. Mandy is determined to solve the mystery, helped by her partner who is on sick leave from the police. Bartholomew Dennison, another teacher, also wants to help her find the missing girl. Although all seems calm on the surface when Mandy starts to dig deep nasty suspicions creep into her mind.

The feel of those lazy, hot summer days mentioned in the book seemed to cross over into the plot. There were no highs and lows in the book. Even when Mandy was attacked, it all seemed part of the summer days. Tension between the boyfriend and male teacher came up several times but didn’t seem to really go anywhere.  There were missed chances to really ramp up the conflict, which is a shame.

This was a well written book with great insight into the teenage world and social levels. Pleasant but unexciting. Maybe those more familiar with the summer school system would enjoy it more. In the Dead of Summer kept me in my comfort level but even so, I enjoyed reading it.

Milla didn’t know who or what she pissed off, but she was having the worst week of her life. Her ship had sunk during a freak storm. Luckily, she’d gotten her crew and most of her cargo off. But somehow she ended up on an island with a neurotic cat, a black panther to be more specific. Her week from hell culminates when they land on an island owned by an ex-drug lord with security issues. Then there was one little issue she didn’t see coming. Ole pussycat wasn’t a panther at all.

Alex had no clue why he didn’t want to leave the infuriating woman. At least he didn’t until he got a good whiff of her. Now all he could think about was mating her. That alone was ridiculous, she was human. What made it worse was her penchant for illegal activities. As an ATF officer he was geared and ready to take her down for smuggling. Now he found himself doing anything to protect her. And she thought her day was bad.

Alejandro Cavalcanti is undercover investigating the poaching of exotic animals, being a shifter he allows himself to be captured hoping that he can shift back into human form and find the people responsible. What he didn’t expect was to be shipwrecked on an island and finding his mate.

First of all, I have to say that I absolutely love the cover of this book, it grabbed my attention from the start, and then when I read the synopsis of the story I couldn’t wait to delve into this book. A Pussy, A Pirate and Poachers was such an enjoyable read. The characters of Milla and Alex melded so well together even though Alex was in panther form for the first part of the book, the author made sure that the reader could still see the interaction between him and Milla. This helped the reader see the growing connection between the two characters and added another layer to their budding relationship. That’s why it was so amusing when Milla decided to name him BOB instead of calling him kitty all the time, the reader knew what his reaction would be. I also enjoyed Milla’s response when she realized that BOB and Alex were one and the same after thinking Alex was a figment of her imagination, a dream lover.

I have read a few books by the author Kassanna and I like how she makes her characters so realistic and down to earth. She allows you as the reader to settle into the characters and get the full enjoyment of who and what they are. She allows you to see the characters not just as characters in a book but as someone you can relate to, which makes for a great reading experience. Also, she always makes sure that the sex between the characters is spicy, which helps to cement the connection between the main characters.

A Pussy, A Pirate and Poachers is a book I would recommend as a quick read on a lazy afternoon, hopefully you’ll pick up a copy and enjoy it as well.

Nothing is more cherished than a mate, no treasure more valued or sought after than the perfect match. With a glance at Summer’s picture, Jubal recognizes not only his intended, but a submissive whose body cries out for discipline. There’s no question about claiming her, and when he spots her entering an exclusive BDSM club, he believes it’s Fate. Summer can’t get past the foyer without a master—and that master will be him.

At the sound of Jubal’s voice, she knows he’s the one, the man she’s been searching for, the master who can demand her devotion. Any other time she’d gladly surrender her trust and her heart, as well as her body, but tonight it’s an urgent task and not the search for pleasure that’s brought her to the club.

She’s been warned about dragons. And even believing Jubal might be just such a supernatural being doesn’t lessen the ecstasy she experiences in his hands. His carnal discipline and heady torment satisfy her—even as they force her to choose between risking it all or not.

However, once Summer saw Jubal she knew without a doubt that he was the master she had been searching for.

Likewise, Jubal wanted Summer after seeing her picture and having her sister Lyra promise to introduce the two. Jubal, a Dragon, had to find her before any of the other dragons did especially since they were also looking for their mates. Knowing that Summer was into the BDSM lifestyle, Jubal helped her gain entrance to a private party by declaring himself her master.

Dragon Master is the sequel to Dragon Games and can be read as a stand-alone but I would recommend that you read Dragon Games first because it sets the stage for Dragon Master. The characters were interesting and the chemistry between Summer and Jubal was electric. Summer was the perfect submissive to Jubal’s Dom and his cousin Nisien, also a Dragon, helped to keep the story interesting. The back story of finding the kitsune Kei’s talisman was a nice touch because it helped give dimension to the story, and helped introduce Summer to the supernatural world. Of course, since the story was about Summer finding her master and Jubal finding his mate, and they were both into the BDSM lifestyle, the author allowed the reader to take a glimpse into what those living this lifestyle experience.

Even though BDSM is woven throughout the story and it is the main theme, there was more to this story than just that. Dragon Master was a love story about two people coming together to form a lasting relationship built on mutual trust and affection, Jubal needed his mate just as much as Summer needed to be dominated and loved by her master.

Dragon Master was definitely an interesting story and if you’re into this type of lifestyle or are curious about it, then you should pick up Dragon Master.

Ms. Grace has written an intriguing and totally different world, where nine different kinds of people have evolved from a single planet, representing various elements – earth, fire, air etc. Part sci-fi, part fantasy with a hint of paranormal/magical abilities it’s an interesting concept remarkably drawn. I found Tiera to be a little volatile at times, and was sometimes frustrated by the frequent referrals to how important Ziggy is. Overall though, this was a fun romp of a book, full of character growth and self-discovery. When Tiera flexed her muscles a bit and came into her own, the story bounded along at a lovely pace. I found myself caught up in the excitement and eagerly turned the pages.

This will appeal to a broad range of styles, those who like space novels, adventures, alternate planets/races and sci-fi or even magical stories. Sensually written but not explicit it’s got enough spice to keep you interested while focusing on the various races, worlds and political points of encountering new societies. Recommended.

Secrets and lies suffuse generations of one Pennsylvania family, creating a vicious cycle of cruelty in this historical novel that spans the early 1900s to the 1960s.

Raised in a crumbling New England mansion by four women with personalities as split as a cracked mirror, young Francis Grayson has an obsessive need to fix them all. There’s his mother, distant and beautiful Magdalene; his disfigured, suffocating Aunt Stella; his odious grandmother; and the bane of his existence, his abusive and delusional Aunt Lothian. For years, Francis plays a tricky game of duck and cover with the women, turning to music to stay sane. He finds a friend and mentor in Aidan Madsen, schoolmaster, local Revolutionary War historian, musician and keeper of the Grayson women’s darkest secrets. In a skillful move by Fullbright, those secrets are revealed through the viewpoints of three different people-Aidan, Francis and Francis’stepdaughter, Elyse-adding layers of eloquent complexity to a story as powerful as it is troubling. While Francis realizes his dream of forming his own big band in the 1940s, his success is tempered by the inner monster of his childhood, one that roars to life when he marries Elyse’s mother. Elyse becomes her stepfather’s favorite target, and her bitterness becomes entwined with a desire to know the real Francis Grayson. For Aidan’s part, his involvement with the Grayson family only deepens, and secrets carried for a lifetime begin to coalesce as he seeks to enlighten Francis-and subsequently Elyse-of why the events of so many years ago matter now. The ugliness of deceit. betrayal and resentment permeates the narrative, yet there are shining moments of hope, especially in the relationship between Elyse and her grandfather. Ultimately, as more of the past filters into the present, the question becomes: What is the truth, and whose version of the truth is correct? Fullbright never untangles this conundrum, and it only adds to the richness of this exemplary novel.

The Angry Woman Suite tells the story of a family through multi-generations–a family linked not by blood but by something deeper. Superbly written with a complex plot, it begins with Elyse trying to make sense of why her stepfather is the way he is–and what in his background made him that way.

The story is told through the points of view of three very different people–each in their own time– and through the pages of a diary.

Not only multi-generational, it is multi-leveled…. this is a book that will probably take more than one reading to fully comprehend. There are many mysteries and secrets, and the author, purposefully, leaves the ending ambiguous. It’s richly drawn with artists and musicians; historians and writers–all trying to express the truth as they see it. And, that is the key, I think, to the book…. seeing the truth as the different characters see it is a clue to what the truth really is.

The Angry Woman Suite is a book with depth and complexities not often seen in the genre. Recommended for mystery lovers who enjoy complexity and a book outside the norm.
