Business and pleasure don’t mix…until emotion enters the scene.

Women in Hollywood, Book 1

Charlotte Richards didn’t get to be one of Hollywood’s top talent managers by dating her clients. When it comes to her career, her heart is not part of the contract—no matter how enticing the star.

From the moment she steps into Sean Maxwell’s fabulous home, though, the cool, professional persona she’s worked so hard to build threatens to melt in desire hotter than Sean’s sexy R&B lyrics.

Thus, a man suffering from erectile failure condition is more prevalent purchase generic viagra among older men, men of any age can suffer from the condition of ED. I see this as THE most critical tip for utilizing buy sildenafil no prescription try over here viably is setting your desires to direct levels. The drugs help have good intercourse and provide sexual online purchase of cialis satisfaction. Various viagra canada pharmacies autoimmune diseases can hinder fertility. Sean’s attraction to Charlotte is nothing new, at least not to him. He fell for her the moment he spotted her at a celebrity gala years ago. Now, with his old manager kicked to the curb, it’s the perfect time to bring her into his life.

The sparks between them blow Sean’s plan to take things slow right off the charts. And his determination to win her runs into overtime when the ghosts of his past threaten to destroy their one chance at love.

Warning: Contains a reformed playboy determined to do things right this time, and a career woman equally determined to keep her eyes off his sexy-as-sin body. Oh well, their intentions were honorable…

Book one in the Women in Hollywood series shows that secrets don’t remain secrets for long. Charlotte Richards a talent manager is well known with the stars. R & B singer, Sean Maxwell also known as Mr. Naughty is in need of a manager but finds that’s not the only service Charlotte is willing to provide.

Darryl is a prior client who nearly ruined Charlotte’s career.  This could be why Charlotte could be so cautious in pursuing a relationship with Sean. Charlotte tests the waters with Sean and then wanted to hesitate when he wants to disclose them as a couple. The story wasn’t original and it kind of played out too long. Charlotte knew what the consequences could be but she still slept with Sean. I’m not sure if she thought she could just sleep with him and keep it moving, there still was a risk of the public finding out or a repeat of what happened with Darryl.

The characters in this book weren’t visual to me as a reader. A profile wasn’t given of the characters. Also, they seemed well set in their careers giving the impression that they were older but their actions seem those of a younger person.

Dana Reliford known for managing high profile musicians, was found dead. With no leads or suspects they aren’t sure if her death was foul play or suicide but for certain reasons Sean is being brought in for questioning. This brings a little twist to the plot but is kind of downplayed with Charlotte and Sean’s relationship being top priority in the novel. For one moment I thought the case had been forgotten about. But towards the end of the book the case takes priority and is neatly solved.

Even though the book was predictable it was still readable and I still wanted to see how the ending would play out. The relationship with Charlotte and her friends are promising and well developed. The ladies share a sisterly bond that I enjoy reading about. The bedroom scenes are hot!

If you enjoy romance with a happy ending it would be a great idea to give this new series of Women in Hollywood a try.

Bridget is a witch who has been given a sweet deal nab a rogue vampire and score a big payday, but she must deliver him within twenty-four hours. She’ll need help from Joe, the local vampire liege, to find the rogue vampire fast. Joe agrees to give her the information…if she agrees to play a few hands of poker with him. For each hand, she must reveal a bit about herself. And for each hand she wins, he’ll answer any question she asks. But Bridget isn’t sure she can keep things objective—not when Joe gives her that seductive grin.

Joe has always had an interest in the little witch. She defies his expectations and surprises at every turn. But despite his natural inclination to help her, he decides to make her work for the information she needs in the most delicious ways. With a little bit of seduction and a little bit of bondage, he tests her resolve to play the game…and tests his own self-control to contain the blood beast inside him. The stakes are sky-high, for both of them. But on Halloween, the most powerful night of the year, which one will be the winner?

Bridget and Joe seem to have a magnetic pull towards each other, and it has nothing to do with the fact that she is a witch and he is a vampire. Hopefully, they can still manage to get some work done, since their lives may depend on it.

Bridget is a strong and capable women which is clear to me from the beginning. She has her things together, and has avoided Joe cause he can distract her in ways no man ever could. I absolutely adore this inner strength of hers, and so does Joe. This latest job however leaves her spinning in more ways than one, and she needs to keep it together if she wants to protect herself and the ones she love.

Joe comes off as your typical cocky vampire, yet there is more than what meets the eye with him. He seems to really have soft spot for Bridget which I like. I would have loved to have seen a bit more of a protective vampire instinct in him however. He clearly cares for those around him, and as the leader in the vampire community for that area I just felt he should have been more furious. He certainly seemed to have the ability to take control of Bridget in the bedroom, and care for her once they were done which left me smiling.

All-in-all I enjoyed the story. The plotline keep the story going. I did not even realize it was as long as it was, since it read so easily. I would definitely recommend it to someone, especially if the witch and vampire relationship intrigues you the way it did me. Not often you see these two unlikely creatures to get involved with each other which I appreciated. Add to it the antagonistic conflict and you got yourself a winner. I look forward to reaching a future installment of the Flush and Fevered Series.

While there’s instant attraction between them, she remains focused on doing her job and finding her artifact.

Dex isn’t sure what to make of the newest team member. They’re sharing space and each day it’s harder for him to remember the line between professional and personal.

Aminta Tran is one of the six chosen to be part of the Astral Guardians, protectors of the world. Her sign is the Ram and her first love is flying… until Dex Collins comes into the picture. There is an instant attraction, one so strong that neither one can ignore it.

Dex Collins was sent to pick up the pilot that was going to temporarily fill in for his rescue squad in Alaska. He never expected the pilot to be female and so little. He even wondered if she had the strength to handle a chopper, all he knew is that thoughts of seeing her naked ran rampant through his mind.

Aminta Tran is a strong female who is capable, sarcastic and fearless, however, there is a vulnerability to her that the author lets shine through so that you can really invest in her. The chemistry between Aminta and Dex is explosive, and I loved how he respected and admired her strength, but showed his alpha side when needed.

The other characters in the book complemented one another and reading the other books in the series helped to enhance this story. Aliyah Burke is one of my favorite authors; she is a story teller, she creates stories that capture your attention from the first paragraph. Her female characters are strong and the men that fall for them are their complete match in all things.

Dex and Aminta was like that, they complimented one another and when he found out what she was he embraced it even though he didn’t completely understand it. That alone made me root for this couple.

This is book four in the Astral Guardians series; it can read as a standalone however I would suggest that you start with the first book which is Keeper of the Stars. That way you can become familiar with all the characters and won’t feel lost.

Branded by Frost is a must read, between the helicopter rescues, the demon fights and the love story between Dex and Aminta, and it is a true love story, you will have many hours of pure entertainment.

They have each other, but not even their formidable skills combined can protect Denise and Vern from the conflagration sweeping the jungle…and their hearts.

Action-packed and love-laced, Hot Point takes the reader into the hot, dangerous world of firefighting with a helicopter; even into a “wildfire tornado” that takes one’s breath away. Best of all, Hot Point is laced with sizzling, refining attraction that comes through the heat to be pure love.

Vern Taylor, an ace helicopter pilot and new to Mount Hood Aviation (MHA), knows he’s in trouble, big-time, with hot-tempered Denise Conroy, lead mechanic for MHA. She does not like to see her “birds” crippled, and he seems to cripple his Firehawk regularly. How these two rub along together is pure joy to read.

M. L. Buchman, with all his acronyms, dumps the reader right in the middle of action with characters that thrive on danger, whether it is in the form of killing a deadly fire or in pulling off a death-defying rescue of people. And, oh, yes, there are secrets to keep. The author gives the reader all kinds of reasons to keep turning pages.

I’m always thrilled to catch up with Emily Beale, Mark Henderson, and many characters from previous books. They never fail to keep the reader involved in the personal, public, and secret happenings as they risk their lives to do good, day in and day out.

If you have not read previous books in M. L. Buchman’s series, Hot Point is a good one to start with, then you can go back and read earlier books about these characters that have dangerous, scary, adrenaline-pumping adventures while love finds them and invites the reader along for incredible love scenes. The humor, sometimes blatant and sometimes subtle, threads through the stories at just the right times to give the reader a breath-catching moment, before emotion-stoking action starts again. Great entertainment!

When successful meteorologist Mason Griers is recruited to consult for a mysterious environmental firm, it’s the perfect chance to put his lifetime obsession with violent weather to practical use. Solstice Inc. promises a new technology that can accurately predict, and possibly control, catastrophic weather events around the world. Too late however, Mason learns that Solstice is made up of high ranking and powerful Druids, and he’s become an unwitting tool in the firm’s dark plot that could remake the world on a scale not seen since the last great extinction.

Mason Grier is flattered when he is recruited by Solstice Synergistic, Inc. After all, he is only a weatherman for a San Diego television station. He accepts the job right away when Solstice’s medical advances cure his daughter’s deafness. He doesn’t really think things through or examine the company at all. He just gets caught up in the moment. However, all too soon he begins to discover that Solstice has the power to change weather, making catastrophic storms at the wave of their Druid staffs. In addition, they have an agenda to stop global warming in ways that will cause mass extinctions. As Avery Solomon, the head of Solstice says to those Druids who want a more peaceful change, “You speak of balance, and I tell you, I am merely righting the balance, restoring power to where it belongs. Not with man and his technology and his medical miracles and his immunizations and ecological re-engineering. That is what has usurped the balance.”

Final Solstice is a very timely and engaging story. I found it especially powerful as I suffer through a very dry hot summer. Mason is obviously in over his head and it isn’t immediately obvious why Solomon has picked him or what he is supposed to do. I found Mason to be likeable and maybe a bit naïve and out of his element. However, he cares deeply for his family and he is a quick learner, especially when he is helped by the Druids who oppose Solomon.

Fantasy and mystery fans alike will enjoy this novel. It is filled with information about both weather and global warming, and the plot is well-grounded in facts. The mysteries abound and Mason has to work hard to become a force in his own right, rather than just Solomon’s puppet. Can he change the path that Solomon has set? Can he do it before the Earth is destroyed? Time is not on Mason’s side. This is a novel that isn’t easily set aside or forgotten.

Christine Jarrods wants to be a writer of paranormal young adult fiction so she’s pursuing a degree in English. By day, she tackles Chaucer. By night, she stalks the streets looking for something magical to inspire her muse. Finding a thread that suggests one of her profs might be some flavor of shifter, she decides to dig…even though she’s been warned to let it go.

Oliver Standish has a secret. Like a lot of guys his age, he’s scraping by, delivering pizzas, trying to pay off loans from a failed attempt at school, and crushing on Chrissy—the one that got away in high school. Only his family knows he’s also trying to deal with being a shifter…he sure can’t tell Chrissy. With her fascination with magic, he knows she’d want to know more about it—but how do you tell a girl who wants to find a monster that you change into a skunk?

The title alone made me giggle, the blurb intrigued me but the story thoroughly entertained me. I really liked the whole progression of Her Sexy Skunk.

For readers who like the premise of friends turned lovers, Her Sexy Skunk delivers. For those that like geeks turned heroes, this little book has that too. There is so much to like in this tale, I totally enjoyed myself.

Chrissy is a wannabe romance writer, specifically a paranormal romance author, but there’s a couple of roadblocks to her dream. She doesn’t know a thing about actual romance because she’s never been in love, and she can’t seem to put her own stamp on a paranormal theme because she doesn’t have anything to research. It’s all fantasy, right? The heroine doesn’t count on the fact that shifters are real and they intend to kill her. How did a bookish heroine become embroiled in were-politics? I really liked what Ms. Nelson came up with.

Ollie is not a common name but it fit the hero. He certainly comes across as timid initially, but when Chrissy is in danger his inner beast isn’t afraid of protecting the woman who he believes is his own. Personally, I adore skunks – I think they’re cute, cuddly and I love how they waddle as they walk. But, I also know that they are not passive little bundles of fur – their spray can blind and their claws can rend and tear with efficiency. So, a wereskunk isn’t that far of a stretch for a hero – it just means he’s doubly cute and impressively aggressive when he needs to be.

The only thing that I wished was different would be how Professor Snipper was handled. References about the teacher are what started the plot moving along but that thread got dropped midway and was not picked up again. Why would Chrissy’s comments cause her the problems they did? What was really going on with Mr. Snipper and why would anyone mention anything on a public forum if humans weren’t supposed to know anything at all? Those loose ends and unexplained relationships plagued me but as this was a short story, I’m guessing they were sacrificed so that the story remained focused on the growing romance between Ollie and Chrissy.

I enjoyed the sensual buildup and the start and stops of their relationship. They’re both unsure, yet it’s clear the attraction is simmering and about to boil over. When it finally does, I was tickled with the vehicle the author chose to get them together. Childhood games aren’t always restricted to kids and the results were fun and sexy.

Her Sexy Skunk is cute, sensually pleasing, sultry yet amusing and is a book easy to recommend to other readers. The ending is a happy for now because I think there’s a bit more hanky-panky that needs to happen before the final HEA. I’m left in no doubts that it’s going to happen though. Ollie and Chrissy are good together. Her Sexy Skunk is lighthearted and charming and a nice story to spend an afternoon with. I’m happy I did.

Rumors had circulated for years in the Lexington area about horse breeders Brett, Colin and Donovan McGilley, especially about the activities that went on above their popular night club, Casey’s. Kayla Holden was at Casey’s to celebrate her twenty-sixth birthday and in the mood to do something wild and crazy and what could be wilder and crazier than enticing sexy, older Brett McGilley into inviting her upstairs for an up close and personal look at the sexual activities she had heard so much about. Even though Brett was attracted to Kayla, his taste for spanking and exhibitionism was not for someone so young and inexperienced. But Brett had no idea just how determined Kayla was to not only explore his sexual kinks, but to do so only with him.

Colin McGilley had fallen for his best friend’s wife, Olivia Hammond, the moment he met her and when Doug asked him to help gift her with a ménage on her birthday, he couldn’t resist. The next three years, Colin carried the guilt of Doug’s sudden death that next day while Olivia struggled with grief. But Olivia’s need to find another Master to give her what she so badly craved sent her to Colin, this time asking more from him than friendship.

Donovan McGilley has struggled with his quick temper ever since his rescue from the Iraqi’s seven years ago, his worry over preferring rough sex keeping him from seeking a relationship outside of the few women who liked sex hard and usually with two men at their private club. But when veterinarian, Anna Kingston saves one of his beloved mares and he see signs of abuse on her body, he simply couldn’t turn her down when she approaches him to explore the sexual fantasies that had led to ending her marriage.

The story is a very cleverly written in the way that it tells the love story of the three brothers all in a single book. It took some time for the main plot to really develop but then it takes center stage in the third brother, Donovan’s, story. This trilogy had a little bit of a suspense feel to it but not enough to be categorized as one.

All three brothers are different in style and what they like, though their love for horses is one thing that is common between them. Each brothers has their own conflict to resolve within the book.

Brett is attracted to a woman half his age. But with a failed marriage under his belt he does not want subject an ‘innocent’ to his brand of kink or sex. However, Kayla is not willing to take no for an answer.

Colin is a Dom who is in love with his departed best friend’s wife who happens to be be a submissive. After years mourning for her husband and Dom she wants to get back into the scene. She wants a Dom. But not just any Dom, she wants Colin. But Colin has guilt that could break apart their relationship and Olivia as well. Colin’s relationship with Olivia was at first complicated to understand. His guilt over something that happened was understandable but it conflicted with his desire for Olivia. It was obvious early on to this reader how he truly felt about Olivia, even though she couldn’t see it. Not at first. It was wonderful to see their relationship evolve from acquaintances to lovers

When Donovan meets red-headed vet Anna, he knows that Anna has suffered abuse. He also feels something for her that he thought he never could. Together they learn to live and love. It was enlightening to see Donovan help Anna get over the abuse. Their relationship was fiery from the first scene. Donovan likes a lot harder sex than what a lot of females are willing to give. But in Anna he finds compatible in every possible way imaginable.

All three of these couples are so different but their chemistry was hot and spicy readers who enjoy a little more hardcore erotic romance should definitely give The McGilley Trilogy a read.

Photo Realism by Julia Talbot

Now who said a man couldn’t pass out? Nature photographer July comes face to muzzle with a beautiful golden-eyed wolf, who turns into a man—and July passes out cold. When he wakes up, he has to decide what to do: Fear the wolf in the man or love the man in the beast.

This tale starts off well, tracking down animals. The writing is fluent and engaging, and both men, July and Rhys, are hotter than a sunny day in June. Their dialogue is fun and light. Unfortunately the sex is off-screen, so to speak. Nonetheless, a quirky start to the anthology. Recommended.

Black, One Sugar by Jae Christopher

Aaron and David meat through a mutual friend, on a blind date. They hit it off in a big way, compatible and easy. But David harbors a secret, and eventually it comes out, putting the two men in need of a decision.

We get this story in first person from David. The outing isn’t a pretty scene, with yelling and anger. It’s almost like prejudiced hate talk. Kinda sad. But apologies follow, and the scene is set for a real talk among adults. Progressive is the fact there’s a drug for lycanthropy, like a real disease, known in the world. David describes his condition starkly, as a full sensory experience, giving the character depth for such a short story. Still, all dialogue, no sex in this one. The funny thing is that the whole incident started with coffee….

Night of the Jackal by V.L. Locey

Jasim and Sahl are jackal shifters. This is a fantasy tale, where the two men get into trouble in the desert with the Madr Pash’s hunter caravan encampment and its chief. Jasim is caught and Sahl has to rescue him.

We get this from Sahl’s first person point of view. He describes the jackal life as a harsh one, with all kinds of enemies close to the riverbed they call home. The story is also told in present tense, which can take some getting used to. The details of how a jackal interacts and senses the world are given in great detail, which was a unique and descriptive way of writing. Plus, the change is apparently painful, so Sahl and Jasim are rarely human men. So much so that while it’s easy to engage in the plight of captured animals, as men in love… I didn’t quite get there. But of the stories in this anthology, this one most captured the essence of being an animal with a human mind.

Raising Cain by Winnie Jerome

You think combining a role-playing convention, a hot shifter, and geek is impossible? Then you’ll love this. Blake is ultimate geek who is rescued at a parking lot by a mysterious man. Then he plays against the same mysterious Cain—with whom they have explosive sex. But then he finds Cain in a ritualistic scene, changing into a huge dog, and all bets are off.

The gaming world is shown with delicious details, so I assume the author knows their stuff. In fact, it’s the role-playing game which sparks the sexual attraction to a fire. This is the first story so far with on-page sex, so enjoy the ride. But Cain needs to better his after-sex act, if he’s to avoid a punch in the face. Though the characters aren’t particularly deep, we get to know them, as the hot guy who loves games and as the geek who refuses to be put down by the word no. A cute, sweet little story.

Keeran comes home to find his male pack members dead and females missing. While tracking them down, he falls prey to a snare. He is rescued by Saul who is a dark fae who are rather like vampires. Saul is also exiled. Both species have a strict no-no rule when it comes to same-sex relationships. But lust conquers all. But Keeran must travel to the city of Losine to find his pack females or they’ll be sold to slavery.

When you find your family dead, do you have insta-sex and insta-love with your enemy on the same day? I think not. Eve with a mating bond effecting them. Also, the reasons why wolves and fae hate each other isn’t really explained. I was left in the dark. This story feels like a slice of life tale, a mere chapter in a longer novel, and I haven’t read the beginning or the end. There will be questions and eye-rolls with this one.

Tea and Werewolves by Cecil Wilde

A werewolf owning a teashop? Now I have heard it all. Sev is the owner in question, and Connor is his customer—and his mate. Hot sex ensues. But Sev has a pretty big secret too…

Though I won’t give away Sev’s secret and surprise, I must say this felt like a story of real people, who both just happened to be wolves. Sev’s secret is in fact effected by his wolf self, which gave an interesting spin to the surprise topic. There’s knotting and mating and sex half-shifted. An okay story, with a twist.

Packbond by M. Lee

Alex is an omega, as is his childhood best friend, Ethan. They formed a pack of two. Now they’re part of a bigger pack, where the alpha is Troy, who is as interested in Alex as Alex is in him. Memorial Day for a murdered pack omega. Damien, brings about a melancholy mood, and then his ex-lover, Joshua the minister’s son, appears, seeking shelter with the pack and confusing things. Death follows in his wake.

This reads like a family tale despite the paranormal twist. Themes like acceptance and loss are dealt with subtlely. The impact of death is shown well, as it effects both humans and wolves. The hunting scene as wolves and the subsequent sex and mating are written with a sensuous tone. When Joshua arrives in need of protection, the story takes a darker turn toward action, rage, murder and vengeance. What’s amazing about this story is that the human community is willing to come in defense of the wolf pack when needed. That gave the story a larger context of friendship.

Nuts, Bolts, and Chihuahuas by Tray Ellis

Arlo’s responsible for the protection of an ancient canine talisman. At a local hardware store he meets TJ, the owner’s son. Then Arlo’s shifter secret gets out (a Chihuahua…adorable!) when TJ sees Arlo doing his guarding thing. This little tale read like a chapter in a longer story. We don’t get to see the talisman, we don’t learn why bad guys want it, and we see no real resolutions. A few kisses, no sex. When this ends, you’ll likely feel the same as me: What just happened? Is this it?

The Dingo Ate My Dildo by Rob Rosen

An American journalist goes on assignment to the Australian outback to a tiny shed in the middle of nowhere. Since no one’s around, he decides to go sunbathing naked. A dingo watches him hungrily, so the guy throws a dildo at it and runs back to the shed. At night, his prick leads outside to a gorgeous hunk—who is pleasuring himself with the dildo. What’s a guy to do but to answer to a dare and embrace a stranger?

This was funny. Humor carries the story along quite well. There’s some ABBA references too. Plus, a cock (without a frock) on a rock. A simple sexy tale that made me smile and chuckle. Nothing too serious at all. Told in first person.

Paw Prints on my Skin by LJ Hamlin

Zach is a werewolf and a tattoo artist for shifters. Along comes Tobias, a dog shifter, who wants a steampunk tattoo on his back. Once the tattooing is complete, both men find it difficult to part ways. So they spend the day together. And the night.

Told in present tense, this tale is sweet and sexy. With little bits of dialogue, both characters come through clearly. Zach’s the big bad wolf and Tobias the cute puppy. Despite being animal shifters, these men feel realistic and nice. Though not typically a fan of present tense, I liked everything about this story.

Search and Rescue by Lorn Rodman

Clancy’s a hybrid wolf and Terry’s a mind-reader. They volunteer at search and rescue, their only goal in life to help others (and make a little profit as they go). Because of their abilities and secrets, they’re both alone. When they find each other, it feels like a miracle.

It was wonderful to read about a different kind of pairing, a wolf and a psychic. Plus, they want to help others with their gift, so that made them all the more endearing. Their banter is delicious and fun, their connection pure, and their sex awesome. A great ending to the anthology. Recommended.

When he sees Jeanie he makes a deal with her to be his fiancee and convince his father that they are in love with each other.  This fake relationship somehow turns into a real one that has the potential to hurt not only each other but also hurt Jeanie’s baby girl.

Though this has a sizzling erotic scenes, it could also be categorized as a family themed novel as well.

Camden doesn’t really believe in happily ever afters and love. While Jeanie knows that the chance of her finding her prince is nil. For Camden their fake relationship is the perfect setup until it isn’t enough for both of them.

Virginia Nelson has wrote a novel that not only has characters with flaws that is easy to believe in but she also has written a story with a main plot that kept me reading and a sub plot that kept me guessing. Even though the pretend fiancee part maybe a little difficult to believe in, the characters–both the main and the secondary characters–show a realistic side that I loved. There’s also a dash of suspense to this story that kept me on my toes.

This short novel has a lot going for it with deception, fake relationships, love, friendship, and a not so perfect family. Readers who want more than a simple trope that’s been done should give The Penthouse Prince a try.

Chasing Tara has a good premise about a mom and her toddler running away from a creepy bad guy and a hero swoops in to rescue them. It’s the idea of heroic action that drew me to this story.

Ms. Rachels delivered on the saving part. Tara needed help and she was a smart and savvy woman who knew it. I appreciated the fact the heroine actually did have a solid and believable plan and it would have worked. The clinker in her plan was fate and the spirit of Mother Bear. Turns out Tara needed to be a heroine; she needed to save someone too – the hero, Jason.

I met Mother Bear in Lisa’s Bear, the first book in the series. It turns out that there is a lot of paranormal mysticism that guides the romances in this series. In this book I learned a little bit of where they originated from and what the goal is as far as Mother Bear is concerned. It’s quite fascinating. That being said, Chasing Tara is definitely a standalone read.

The dialogue, plot, action, characters and environment were well done, engrossing and entertaining. I really enjoyed reading this story but I wasn’t too impressed with some of the editing, especially when at one point the editor goofed and missed the name swap – the story is about Tara, not Tina. Tina was a skank from the last book. And instead of writing bear cub, it had cube. I laughed at that. So, just be aware there are a few glitches but Chasing Tara is still worth reading because it’s fun to watch how Jason messes up with his fast courtship of Tara. He’s such a bear.

Another thing that made my brain itch was Tara’s decision in dealing with the detestable, disgusting bad guy. Jason was warned but he just didn’t get it. I think he was slow on the uptake a couple of times but he’s not a mind reader so I guess being fallible is more realistic. He’s a hero but he’s not Superman. And, even though I wasn’t crazy about Tara’s actions, the author actually addressed that in the book and convincingly justified the events that occurred. I may personally not like those kinds of plot scenarios but I bow to the reasoning, especially since it led to a satisfying happy ever after.

Chasing Tara has some wonderfully tender moments between Tara’s daughter, Haley, and her soon-to-be stepson, Ben. They were some of the sweetest interactions in the story. The spice and heat that an erotic romance promises is more than met with scenes between Tara and Jason. The author provided plenty of fun for readers. On the whole, this was an enjoyable and quick read and I found it just the right size to indulge in before bedtime. I’m glad I read it.
