Kristin Marsh landed her dream job with Bosk Entertainment as a CPA. She had everything she could really ask for and then some. However, when her mysterious boss calls her into his office to sign a confidentiality agreement, she didn’t know what to expect.

Micah Bosk was know for his strict ways in the boardroom, but this dominant man dabbled in the kinky lifestyle associated with bondage. It lead him to purchasing The Black Rose, a hot spot fetish club in the heart of Denver. But when the smart businessman looks over the books, he discovers the numbers simply don’t add up.

Micah seeks Kristin’s help with his financials and slowly introduces the good girl into his kinky world. She’s sexy and strong, perfect for what he wants in a sub, but she has reservations about a no-strings affair with her boss. He can show her the naughty pleasures he enjoys but will her need for commitment be a deal breaker?

All the ingredients for a smoking hot kinky read: a contract, burn the cover off chemistry and a BDSM club.

While the plot of Seduced by the CEO wasn’t new, it was the characters that won me. They were different. “Draw me in and hold me captive to the story” different.

When Micah finds that the accounts for the BDSM club that he owns don’t add up, he calls on the one person who can surely find the cause. But can she handle his needs?

When Kristin gets a contract from her boss, demanding ultimate secrecy and discretion, she signs it without a second thought. What she comes to realize about her boss, and herself, is an eye-opening surprise.

The story flows well and the characters were well developed. The story kept me interested to the very end. This is a character driven story and the author kept them in the forefront with snappy dialogue and hot chemistry.

The ending indicated that there may be a second book. It wasn’t what I expected. While I’m not personally a fan of suspense and waiting, sometimes I find a series worth waiting for.

Excellent read with more than a few pleasant surprises.

After running from an abusive relationship, Zoey tries to regain control of her life in a new town. She begins to find reasons to move forward, but Zoey can’t ignore her arousal for a dark and mysterious man—one that is clearly dangerous.

The moment Sergei sees Zoey, he wants her. She’s vulnerable and timid, but she has a strength behind her eyes. Zoey’s a fighter, a warrior, and he wants her for more than just a night in his bed. But how will she react when she finds out he’s part of the Bratva—the Russian Mafia?

Zoey knows who and what Sergei is, and even though she should be terrified, she can’t help but be drawn to him. It isn’t until her past comes back to haunt her that she truly sees the type of man Sergei is, and the lengths he’ll go to protect her.

Surprisingly good, decidedly dark, refreshingly romantic.

The Russian mafia and violence go hand in hand. However, this book is not just about violence. There’s plenty, even gratuitously graphic, but that’s not the only story here.

Sergei is part of the Bratva. Mafia is a mild word for him. Violence isn’t just a part of him, it’s his life.

But this is a love story like no other. The chemistry between Zoey and Sergei is off the charts.

The writer has the perfect balance between these two aspects of the story. Romance offset the violence and vice versa. That said, this book does not have the lovey dovey kind of romance. It’s a darker romance.

Short read but well worth the time. I had no choice but to pulled into this story. I was a willing prisoner to witness Zoey and Sergei’s story. I couldn’t put it down. I wanted to warn Zoey that this was likely a very bad mistake but I couldn’t, obviously, but at the same time, I had to see how the author played out their story. How could there be a happily ever after? It seemed impossible.

Something else I liked about this is that it has a little bit of a mystery/suspense aspect. It kept me one my toes. An easy recommend. A wonderful read.

Ava Summers has been living a lie, pretending she’s fine when her stepfather’s unspeakable betrayal has left her numb, afraid to trust anyone. Now she’s about live the ultimate lie–pretending to be a submissive on a sexy new reality show called the Power Games at an opulent BDSM-themed resort in Las Vegas to ruin the man who stole everything from her.

Ava’s lies catch up with her when she’s paired with sexy but sadistic Dominant Roman Castile, a man with his own agenda and demands which tear Ava apart while exposing her to desires she never knew she had. The two come together in a collision of fear and passion that is ratings gold. But to stay on the show, Ava will have to surrender everything to him.

Games, Publicity and Love.

The plot revolves around what happened to Ava because of her stepfather and the actions preceding the event. This was the main suspense that irritated me until the end. What happened to her was only revealed until the end. I am not a fan of drawn out suspense.

That being said the book then tells about Ava and her best friend getting into a competition named Power Games to win a lot of money. Power Game involves BDSM and having the scenes publicized live into the audience. What happened afterwards was well worth the bit of suspense that came.

When she gets paired up with Roman… the chemistry between them… **sigh**

I truly enjoyed the relationship, or lack thereof, between them at the start and watching the progression from there onward. This is an very erotic read, of course.  And, I need to say that this book is very intense for a reader who is not that into BDSM or likes little of it in their stories.

But the writing with that progression from Ava and Roman being nothing to each other to being everything was truly amazing.

The death of Dylan’s parents leave his five younger brothers and the family dairy farm in his care.

Neighbor Marissa, raised by an alcoholic father, seeks a way out. Desperate for help, Dylan offers her a live-in nanny/housekeeper position. She jumps at the opportunity. The chaotic household, full of love, feeds her maternal instincts. She falls for Dylan and the boys.

When Dylan finds himself desiring Marissa, he pulls back. His heart has been broken in the past by women resistant to a large, ready-made family. But if she walks away, she’d not only break his heart but those of his brothers, too.

Will Dylan ever believe in Marissa’s devotion to his family, risk his heart, and those of his brothers, for the woman he loves?

Family is so important in a person’s life. Family does not always have to be blood.

Dylan has always been a responsible, careful and meticulous person. Even more so since his parents passed away. He had no idea that when he first invited Marissa to his house be a housekeeper that his brothers would love her and that he would eventually fall in love with her, too.

Marissa never thought when she started working as a housekeeper in Dylan’s house that she would find the family she craved or that she would fall in love with someone who is so protective of his damaged heart that he might not be able to love her back.

I loved the pace of the story. Not too fast or slow. With Dylan’s brothers and the rest of the characters that came into play, I think the author did a great job of not only pulling me in but she made me feel. Overall a great book with a romance and a climax that will either make you smile or cry happy tears. An easy recommend.

Jacky is visiting Alaska, on holiday’s with her best friend Karen. She’s just broken up with her horrible ex-boyfriend, and a trip over-seas to see some Polar bears and the beautiful wilderness that America offers, is exactly what she needs.
The last thing she expects when she arrives at a lodge that guarantees every visitor that they will see a Polar bear, is two men who believe she is their soul mate.

Ashten and Raylock get a phone call from their brothers that their mate has arrived. They rush home, assuming it was only Brad’s mate that had been found. Instead, their own red haired goddess is there to greet them on their return.

All is well with the brother shifters when Jacky submits instantly to their attraction and she seems to be falling in love with them. But they have enemies everywhere and when Jacky unknowingly steps off their land, she is taken by some rouge vampires.

Can they get her back in time? Or will the damage their nemesis does to her, turn her against them forever?

A good book and a neat take on shifters.

I underestimated this book. The “fated mates” trope isn’t new but I liked how the author presented Ashten, Raylock and Jacky’s version. It was a hot and fast love at first sight kind of story.

Jacky wanted to see polar bears. So, she came for her holiday to a lodge that promised that she would see one. However, the moment she gets there… chaos ensues.

I read a lot of paranormal and fantasy, however the beginning of Her Protectors seemed to have a little too much drama. Even so, as the pages turned the plot became more interesting. The story of the Peacekeepers and their world is truly intriguing. Since, this is the second book in the series, I could tell that I had missed some big chunk of the world that the author has woven. May need to go search out book 1 in the series to see how it all began.

The chemistry was hot. The action and the plot were well played out. This is a short read sure to heat up a cold night.

She’s hurt, scared…and their mate.

After leaving their community due to an altercation with their shifting council, Alric and Sam, wolf shifters and mates, start their new life on their own terms. But when Dalia, a lost and injured female wolf shifter, pleads for help on their doorstep, the two wolves know they can’t turn her away. She’s hurt, scared…and their mate. With Dalia under their care, it takes everything in their power to curb the beasts inside that demand they claim her.

Running from an abusive past, Dalia will take help in any form. When she finds a cabin in the middle of nowhere, she hopes the inhabitant is her salvation, at least for the time being. What she didn’t expect to find were two savagely attractive wolf shifters who are her mates. As she heals physically and mentally, she finds herself not wanting to fight the powerful pull her mind and body have toward the two males, even if her past could destroy everything.

A Happy Ever After….

Voracious was a story line that I have read before but with the nice surprise of having characters who are memorable.

This is a short story, very well brought together and kept me in the story until the end. One thing that captured me is that this book sounded like a series, but unfortunately, it is not.

The main thing that kept this from being a truly fantastic book is that the background story seemed incomplete. I wanted to know more about how Alric and Sam came together and more about the pack they came from.

When Alric and Sam, mates and lovers, find Dalia in the front of their doorstep they’re surprised. They finally found what has been missing all these years. But their mate is in danger. The story quickly evolves but, for me, it was the perfect speed for a short story.

Alric is the Alpha and Sam the submissive in the relationship, however the relationship between them morphs into both of them becoming protectors with a few other surprising changes. The passion and chemistry between all of them was off the charts hot!

Try this one if you like a short paranormal erotic story with a bit of suspense and romance.

Fierce Highland war chief seeks comely lass for fun, frolic, and marriage

Marcus MacPherson is every inch the fearsome Highlander. He’s used to men averting their eyes and women cowering before him. He thinks he’ll eventually settle down with a nice, obedient bride. Instead, he gets Helen Grant… Stubborn as the day is long, fearless and dedicated to raising as much hell as possible, Helen is definitely going to challenge Marcus. And challenge him some more. And then some.

It’s anyone’s guess who’ll win this battle of the heart…

There’s stubborn and then there’s Helen stubborn. Marcus thinks he’s large and in charge and then he meets his match. It was enjoyable to watch them fight and fall in love.

Highland Vixen has two main characters but many other important secondary characters. It was not just a story about Marcus and Helen. The side stories were just as engaging as the main plot. The way the author weaves them into the main story, though, made them important and not just page filler.

Highland Vixen can be read as a stand-alone. But since I read it, I do know that I want to read more of this series. One thing that I learned over the years is that Mary Wine is a must-read author.

After reading this book, I have an idea of who the main characters in the next book may be. I do know for sure that the book will be great and worth it for any reader who enjoys historical romance.

A nice hot, forbidden fling with her boss…what can possibly go wrong?

Jolie Pierson has lusted after her hot as hades boss forever, so when he finally takes notice of her, she can’t help but melt at his dominance. Besides, it would be rude to not give him a present on his birthday.

Richard Tomlin never dates the women at his office. However, when he realizes the sinfully curvy red head he’s been struggling to keep his hands off for ages is submissive…the gloves are off. This woman makes him forget all the rules and brings out his primitive instincts—to take, to devour, to mark her as his until everyone knows she belongs to him.

Jolie was ready to accept just one night of hot kinky sex, but when Richard pulls the boss card the very next morning, everything changes—she’s finally his.

Staying late to work never had so many benefits.

Jolie is a dedicated and hardworking woman. When she accidentally sends an email, meant for her best friend, to her boss, everything changes.

She had been drooling over her boss for a long time. So was every other woman in her office. What she never considered was that he could be attracted to her, too.

Jolie and Richard have a “singe the sheets” kind of chemistry that just gets hotter with the turn of a page. Jolie’s character is very relatable. She’s normal looking, not tall and skinny like her co-worker, who loves to flaunt that fact. It was easy to get caught in the romance of the story (as well as the sexual chemistry) and swept up to the last pages.

The one thing was that this book was too short. I wanted just one more page, one more chapter, okay lots more chapters. I could have stayed with Jolie and Richard well beyond the last page. It’s a simple trope, been done many times, but the characters held their own and I wanted to see where the author would take their relationship. How would it evolve? Would it last?

This is a quick read but one that will have me reaching for another book by Ms. O’Connor real soon.

The celebrated widowed wife of a hometown hero, Jessica leaves Boston for a fresh start in a Cape Hatteras beach house with her teen children. She never expects to fall hard for her new boss, Joe, at the fish and beer shop where she bartends. When he accidentally triggers her need for rope, she needs a quick fix for a shibari addiction she’d believed herself long cured of.

A drunk dialing moment leads to her sister’s fiancé–a man who has tied her in the past–who delivers Francisco, the man he considers to be a shibari-master and a perfect match, and Jessica has a great long weekend in and out of his rope. But then Francisco asks her to allow him to dominate her full-time.

Jessica runs scared and ends up in bed with Joe. When she shares her secret love of bondage, Joe insists she’s the victim of deviant men, and that he would offer her a normal, healthy love. Wounded by his misunderstanding, she runs again.

As if her sex life isn’t complicated enough, a case of mistaken identity catches her in the crosshairs of an assassin. While Jessica’s seeking sanctuary in Cincinnati for the holidays, her sister gifts her with a night with a shibari master who goes by the name of St. Nicholas. She quickly finds herself on the naughty list but will she also find a man willing to be the guy who makes her laugh, keeps her tied in knots, and makes no demands for more?

One intense story!

I have to mention this first and foremost; this book is not for the first-time erotic reader. The book includes some intense bondage scenes and loads of detailed sexual heat and chemistry.

Expressive and descriptive. The rope bondage scenes were highly descriptive and brought this reader right into the room for a front row seat. This is a writer who knows her shibari knots.

The book was a roller coaster. Some readers may appreciate the intensity while others may feel a little whiplashed by the back and forth. There’s a story within a story that gets revealed slowly. Add to that the fact that Jessica is attracted to three different men in the course of the book, each with certain aspects that she likes; Luc for accepting every single bad demon of hers without questioning the origin of it, Francisco for trying to make her face her demons, past & present, and Joe who is understanding and listens to her when she needed to vent about her late husband and his family.

I loved how it evolved though the one thing that surprised me was the ending. This book is a cliffhanger and I’m honestly not fond of cliffhangers. The book left a lot of questions hanging. The main one of course being who will she choose? Thankfully, the second in this series, Learning to Breathe Again is already available.

Readers who like it hot and their kink wrapped in soft ropes should give this a read for sure. It may just trigger a suppressed fantasy for you, too.

SHE BRINGS OUT THE WOLF IN HIM
Lacey Barton can’t deny her crazy attraction to Alex Trevino, but that doesn’t mean she has time for the gorgeous SWAT officer. She’s hell-bent on discovering who’s behind the brutal dogfights sending countless mauled animals to her veterinarian office. The trail leads Lacey to a ring of vicious drug dealers and suddenly she’s in way over her head-right smack in the middle of a SWAT stakeout.

With Lacey in danger, Alex’s wolf side is unleashed. But when she witnesses Alex shift, she’s even more terrified… Now it’s up to Alex to crack the case-and earn back Lacey’s trust and, ultimately, her heart.

If you want sexy wolf shifters, Paige Tyler won’t disappoint.

Lacey is a veterinarian who loves animals of all size and breed. However, when she gets called in for a couple of very hurt dogs, this little spitfire shows her own claws. The blurb would suggest that this story is about dog fights, drug wars and wolfy mates but there is so much more going on. It was a lot to take in but the author tied it all in seamlessly.

A running theme in this series is about wolf shifters finding their perfect mates. They each quickly learn that finding them is not enough in most cases. Alex figures out, you can find your mate but telling said mate that she’s ‘The One’ may not go over well.

The story is a constantly evolving and is so full of passion and chemistry between Alex and Lacey. It is a wonder that I ever let go of the book to sleep or eat.

I can’t say for sure that this book could be categorized as a standalone. It does have a complete story that has a beginning and an end but since some of the back story includes knowing the story or at least an outline of the previous plots. Ms. Tyler tried to cover this by mentioning the previous plots. Also since some of the previous books characters do play an important role in this, knowing something about their story would be a helpful thing. Not completely necessary but informative.

This novel was such an enjoyable read, it pulled me into every exciting scene and made me fall in love right along with the characters. That’s a good book.
