Bella thought she knew the answer to this question, but now that she doesn’t have the same smile she isn’t quite so sure.

What I liked the most about Bella is how she’s described early on in her adventures. Yes, her physical features are mentioned, but so is her kindness. It’s easy to overlook such a small detail, especially while reading something so entertaining. This reader appreciated it, though, and knowing that the main character is a good role model made me want to share Bella’s adventures with my niece!

The age recommendation for this story was a little tricky. Most kids don’t begin to lose their teeth until early elementary school, but the illustrations do seem to be geared toward readers a few years younger than that. I suspect that the subject matter will be more appealing to older children, although there is nothing here that is inappropriate for preschoolers or sensitive readers.

With that being said, the illustrations are beautiful. They complement the storyline quite well. I was especially amused by the picture of Bella after she lost her tooth. It was very cute. There were actually a few times when I stopped reading to get a better look at the other faeries as well. Every one of them was beautiful, and I loved the fact that so many different ethnic groups were represented in this tale.

I’d recommend The Toothless Tooth Fairy to anyone in the market for something new and fun to read at bedtime.

True desire always finds a way…

On the night before the final battle against Napoleon, Lady Delphine St. James finds herself dancing with the one man she has always wanted, Major Lord Stephen Ives. He makes it clear he has no time for a lady he sees as flirtatious and silly, but as the call to arms sounds, she bids him farewell with a kiss that stirs them both. When he returns gravely injured, she is intent on caring for him, even if his surly behavior tests her patience.

After the battle, Stephen is not only wounded and blind, but falsely accused of cowardice and theft. The only light in his dark world is Delphine, the one woman he never imagined he could desire. But she deserves more than he can give her.

As their feelings deepen and hidden enemies conspire to force them to part forever, can their love survive the cruelest test of all?

Lady Delphine St. James is beautiful, witty and charming. Her politically active father shamelessly uses her to further his own agenda by encouraging her to flirt and flatter his cronies, to sway them to his way of thinking. Her mother’s only desire is to have her make an advantageous marriage. Delphine has had two seasons, and the flirtatious puppet she has become is second nature to her now. Until one night, she encounters Major Lord Stephen Ives. They are instantly attracted to one another. He cares for her opinions and they have a real conversation. Then Delphine’s mother comes to take her away, telling her she must go and charm a duke. When Stephen sees her playing her flirtatious game, he’s convinced that he was wrong about her, and that she really is shallow. Thereafter, he avoids her when he can, and otherwise is just remotely polite. Delphine was truly affected by their meeting, and it made her take a look at herself and her life. Although she lost Stephen’s regard, she’s determined now to do better things.

A year later, Delphine is in Brussels with her sister and brother-in-law, ready to come to the aid of wounded soldiers, if need be. She encounters Stephen, who is just about to leave for battle. She sends him off with a flower and a kiss. Stephen is seriously wounded and is sent to recover with their mutual friend Nicholas Temberlay and his wife. Determined to take care of him, Delphine manages to arrange it so she is at the household at the same time. We soon find out that Stephen has been blinded, and that he has an enemy who is setting him up to be branded a thief and a coward.

Someone being falsely accused is something that always pushes my buttons. We know who the villain is right from the get go, so there’s not a mystery. But he weaves a clever plan, and at times it doesn’t look like there’s any hope. It’s particularly nasty because of the awful shape our poor hero is in. Stephen is strong, though, and begins to recover. This part of the story deals with Delphine caring for him, and their becoming very close. I like both these characters, even with their flaws. I found Delphine to be compassionate and kind underneath her social mask. But I was disappointed that as soon as she returned home, she fell right back into the same pattern. Stephen, while an admirable man, waffled a lot when it came to Delphine. He wanted her, then he pushed her away.

This is my first book by Lecia Cornwall, and I like her writing style very much. I felt the sense of urgency in the story that the villain may never be found out. I also felt the dread that our couple was never going to manage to be together. The way everything was resolved was very satisfactory, and I found myself breathing a big sigh of relief. I recommend this book for all lovers of historical romance, and I know I’ll be looking for more from this author.

How do you hide from a killer when he’s in your mind?

Emily Monroe conceals her psychic gift from the world, but her abilities are much too strong to keep hidden from an equally gifted killer. A savvy private investigator, she discreetly uses her psychic prowess to solve cases. When the police ask her to assist on a new case, she learns the killer they seek is not only psychic, but is targeting her.

Believing they are destined for each other, he uses his victims as conduits to communicate with her, and she hears their screams while they are tortured. She opens her minds to help the victims, but it gives him a portal that he uses to lure her to him. With the killer taking over her mind, she must somehow stop him before she becomes his next victim.

Conduit is an entertaining novel with a very good plot that would be perfect for the movie screen. Though it may sound kind of warped I couldn’t put the book down when the killer was stalking his next victim. The book kept my interest and had me ready to see what would happen next. Angie Martin shows her talent and her skills as an author in this well crafted novel of a serial killer’s psychotic mind and the trail of bodies he leave in order to get to the woman he wants. I found the book easy to read. The author has a way of writing that flowed, and gave a visual that I could actually picture as I read. The characters were well developed and likable. The villain of the novel, David Noakes is well developed with a believable malicious and satanic mind.

There is no mystery in the novel as to who the killer is, we already know. It’s more about will the killer get to his intended target? This is a novel of kidnapping, torture and murder so this type of subject matter may not be for the faint of heart.

I enjoyed the clean storyline and how the author did not fall into societies trend of boy meets girls, and they jump into bed. I appreciated reading a book where the couple obviously has a very strong attraction between each other but were willing to wait before introducing the physical part into their relationship. I enjoyed the relationship between Detective Lionel Edwards and his wife Barbara. They have been married for years, and being in the line of work as a detective the life span of a marriage isn’t that long. But Lionel and his wife have found a balance that works for them. They also were an example to the other couples in the book.

Conduit is a filling novel that an avid reader like myself enjoy finding. I am a happy reader that will be looking to see what else Angie Martin has written and I definitely will be adding her to my authors to follow list.

You wouldn’t want to miss out on this great read, so be sure to get a copy!

Ghost hunting just got sexy.

In love with his childhood best friend, Demi Fox, for years, Pierce Lane has kept his emotions a closely guarded secret. The truth is revealed during a carefully planned weekend away at a historic haunted Inn, where passion ignites among flashlights, investigation, and paranormal activity. While they burn up the sheets, and work on an unexpected case, Pierce searches for a way to convince the gun-shy beauty what they have is worth exploring after the trip.

After watching her father wither away once her mother died, Demi Fox swore off love. Then her best friend drops a bombshell she never saw coming during a trip of a lifetime. While fulfilling her dream of ghost hunting, a brush with a restless spirit changes her outlook on life. When it’s time to check out, she decides to give love a chance, only to find out they have way bigger problems on their hands.

When Pierce takes Demi to a haunted hotel for a weekend getaway, there are more things than the spooks that go bump in the night.

Pierce has been in love with his best friend Demi since he could remember. He’s had enough of waiting and he wants to tell her how he feels. He sets up a ghost hunting expedition at a nearby haunted hotel and gets everything just the way Demi would want it, down to the music playing on the MP3 player. Whisking her away, the two collide in a passionate realization of their feelings for one another.

A ghost is waiting for them at the hotel and she picks up on Demi’s erotic nature and hangs on for the ride. Sex, sex and more sex fill the couple’s time at the hotel. There is some investigating but it leads them back to bedroom exploration and the realization that they both like things a little bit kinky.

The only fly in the ointment is Pierce’s realization that Demi doesn’t do relationships. She stays on the surface. Can he delve beneath her armor and save his damsel from the ghost before none of them have a happy ending?

This story was a cute weekend getaway type of set up with a ghost hunting expedition thrown in for good measure. There were some reactions from both characters that felt over the top and I had a hard time identifying with either one of them. Pierce was too nice-setting everything up without demanding anything from Demi. She was a whirlwind of nature and kind of a sex kitten without much happening behind the scenes.

The chemistry between Demi and Pierce was undeniable and author Shyla Colt does a great job playing them off on one another. Using the male POV so the female reader can try and connect with the hunky hero was a win. Every girl wants to be whisked away for the weekend for kinky sex and it was nice to see things from his perspective.

Overall, this was a fun paranormal romp especially nice if you are in the mood for a short, quick read.  It’s ghost hunting on the go with some sexy adventures under the sheets.

What do you get when you take twenty-six amazing writers, randomly assign them a letter of the alphabet and give them complete artistic freedom within a theme?

A is for Apocalypse

A is for Apocalypse contains twenty-six apocalyptic stories written by both well-known and up-and-coming writers. Monsters, meteors, floods, war–the causes of the apocalypses in these tales are as varied as the stories themselves.

Symptoms such as clumsiness, slight slurring of tadalafil 20mg from india appalachianmagazine.com speech, mild weakness can be attributed to being overweight or indulging in a diet rich in carbohydrates and fat. In the study it was observed that participants who s were treated with sildenafil found in PDE5 inhibitors such as cialis online prescription are very effective it should be taken very carefully. Some apocalypses can be predicted ahead of time. Others not so much.

The reason why I’m not mentioning any titles in my review is that they all give away gives major spoilers about what kind of apocalypse to expect from them. The introduction explains why Rhonda Parrish decided to create such a unique collection, and I highly recommend reading it first. In order to avoid confusion, I’ll use the names of the authors who wrote them instead.

I didn’t have a clue what Ms. Cato was doing at first. Rick, her protagonist, is paying close attention to every beep from his dosimeter, but his reasons for doing so with such a calm demeanour aren’t immediately apparent. He remained a fascinating character to me even after I figured out why he wasn’t panicking due to how well this behavior fits in with the rest of his personality. It’s impossible for me to pick a favourite in this collection, but I recommend beginning with Ms. Cato’s entry to anyone who likes skipping around.

When I first started this book I thought I knew more or less what to expect from it because I read so much science fiction and horror. The authors’ imaginative twists on common apocalyptic themes genuinely caught me by surprise, and that isn’t an easy thing to do! With that being said, certain apocalypses would have worked much better as novellas or full-length novels due to how many characters they required or the complexity of their plots.

Ms. Taylor’s tale is a good example of this. In it Dr. Surya Johansson is studying the remnants of human civilization for reasons that are gradually revealed as the plot continues. Figuring out the doctor’s background and motivation for travelling from one tattered colony to the next kept me guessing, but so many characters were introduced that I had trouble keeping track of all of them. It would have also been helpful to have more information about the events that led Dr. Johansson to conducting this study. The tidbits sprinkled throughout the plot provided tantalizing clues about the backstory, but some of them never quite gelled together for me.

Mr. Aldin’s story begins with a flashback to the narrator’s childhood. Eric’s parents always reassured him that monsters aren’t real, but they were dead wrong. For a long time Eric believed that he was the last human left alive on earth, but when he finds evidence of a woman travelling through his terrority he knows he has to do anything he can to meet her. The character development in this piece was well done, especially once Eric’s risk-taking tendencies begin to show up. I had an inkling of what might be happening with this character, but seeing everything unfold through his first-person perspetive made the rest of the plot even better.

A is for Apocalypse is a clever anthology that I’d recommend to anyone who is a fan of hard science fiction.

Her feelings for Lodge owner Rupert are clouded by his hot and cold moods, and her growing suspicions of his right hand man’s involvement in a bear part harvesting ring. But when she loses her job and her boyfriend on almost the same day, it seems like a good idea to make a fresh start. After all, it’s only a temporary job and she’ll be back home soon. It sounds like a good place to think.

This author writes an interesting tale of a city girl in the country. She’s afraid of bears and sasquatches, she doesn’t trust fisherman who don’t fish and why is the RMCP undercover?

She finds her new boss attractive, but he’s hot and cold. One minute he’s kissing her, the next he’s mad at her because she’s been wandering around alone outside. He claims he’s worried about bears, but she thinks there is more to it than that.

When someone pushes her off the edge of the watchtower, she knows it for sure. She’s upset because she saw his right hand man meeting in an old cabin with one of the non-fishing fishermen, and she thinks he’s up to something. Rupe says no. But what else would he say if he’s involved in it?

This is a busy story with both good and bad characters. Ms. McGregor uses bear poaching and organ harvesting as the crime, and this is a real problem. If you’re not familiar with it, just do an internet search. That’s how Maddie became aware of it. The romance is a bit rushed: at first they don’t trust each other, and then they have wedding plans. However, I believe in love at first sight, so I can accept that.

Why don’t you take a walk in the woods with Maddie? Just don’t notice the Sasquatch. That will help chill the rumors.

As the two discredited agents enter a maze of lies, secrets, and deadly coincidences, they uncover a violence that shattered their lives were really a long time in the making – and are a long way from over.

Michelle Maxwell has just made a decision that will change her life forever, ending her stint with the Secret Service. It’s set her on a new path she never expected. Sean King has been there and done that once already. As a former Secret Service agent himself, he’s screwed up and recovered, making a happy new life for himself. However, when King and Maxwell’s worlds collide, more than sparks are going to fly.

Sean King is a fascinating and aggravating man. He’s been where Michelle is now and is both sympathetic to her plight as well as slightly obnoxious at the same time. Despite his ability to completely rile her, I loved him from the moment I met him. He carries the arrogance gained while working for the Secret Service, a trait you no doubt need to keep important people safe, but tempers it with humor and seductiveness that not even calm, cool, and collected Michelle Maxwell can resist. Sean is also intelligent, resourceful, and loyal, three things Michelle needs now more than anything.

On the other hand, Michelle Maxwell is young and upcoming in the Service, right until the moment she makes a fatal mistake. By letting a presidential candidate out of her sight for mere moments, he’s kidnapped and her life comes to a standstill. To her credit, she doesn’t curl up in a ball and cry. Quite the opposite. With the help of Sean King and his years of experience, they come together and discover more than what happened to Michelle’s charge.

Split Second was an intense ride taking us through both Michelle’s current situation and running headlong into the incident many years past that caused Sean’s stint with the Service to come to an abrupt end. The way that the two stories come together in the end is both satisfying and exciting. If this first novel in the King & Maxwell series is any indication, the ones that follow are going to be one heck of a roller coaster of action and suspense. I am eagerly anticipating getting to know these two better in the future.

In the Aeon Empire, the bloodline rules everything…

Radek Nikolaev, alpha of the packs, whose ancestors were conquered by the vampyres, vows that enslavement of his kin doesn’t come without payback. As retribution, he wants to plunder the Aeon King’s most prized possession, his only daughter and heir, Vita, as he leads his pack out from Aeon.

This is the reason that the doctors cialis for order are getting well trained at present. This has made people to order Kamagra in due prescription du canada viagra course of time. Vita Petrienko has always harboured deep feelings for the outcast wolf prince. When Radek kidnaps her, Vita is more than a willing participant. She has always wanted a taste of the forbidden.

But neither of them anticipate the uncontrollable fire between them once their passion is unleashed. Primal instinct draws them to each other’s arms. When they are torn apart, will their instinct reunite the two star-crossed lovers back together?

His plans weren’t going as expected. His prisoner should be crying with fear, begging for mercy, and pleading for her life. Instead, she perched on the bed as though her predicament wasn’t dire. Her people, vampyres, hated his kind. By all rights, as a lycan, he should despise her. But try as he might, he just couldn’t bring himself to feel the anger and need for revenge that set him upon his present course. The ideas of ravishment and plunder flew right out the window when he looked upon her innocence and beauty and felt something more than vengeance come to life.

Maybe he’d forgotten, but Vita had not. Despite the rivalry between their species, she’d loved Radek since childhood. Circumstances had torn the young lovers apart, but his absence had only strengthened her affection. He’d made her a promise and she’d waited years in eager anticipation of him fulfilling it. She didn’t care if Lycans were considered slaves among her kind; to her, Radek’s beast was beautiful, fascinating, and rugged. She’d dreamed of the day he’d come for her, and finally that time was now. Despite his ulterior motives and his reservations, she intended to remind him of the feelings they once shared as children, and hoped he’d now act upon them as a man.

Radek was at a loss. This was not how he’d planned things out. She was his pawn for safe passage out of Vampyre territory, nothing more. Though his brain kept telling him to refuse her advances and deny the desire growing within him, the beast inside demanded he take what she freely offered, and more. Within moments, Vita breaches his defenses and has him molded like putty in her hands. He knew he should send her back to her father, virtue intact, but the thought of her marrying another man set his blood to boiling. He may have suppressed the feelings he’d had for her when they were young, but it took scarcely a touch of her hand to remind him fully how much he loved her. While his brothers and fellow Lycan’s weren’t too keen on the whole idea, Radek decided that no matter where they went, Vita was coming with them.

Ms. Lee has penned a tantalizingly sweet little tale full of big bad wolves, vampyres, and a little bit of magic. The journey for these lover is rocky, to say the least. Seems fate is always against them. Just when freedom looms on the horizon, Vita is forced to make a decision that changes her dreams of being with Radek forever. Radek’s pain at her loss is palpable. Angry at the turn of events, I ached with him. But all is not lost. A surprising twist at the end left me with a smile and a heart full of warm fuzzies. While some of the plot seems a bit cliché—Lycans subservient to Vampyres—Ms. Lee has taken the idea and added some little surprises into the mix. It’s always nice to see something new and this quaint little tale didn’t disappoint.

Vampyres and Lycans, it doesn’t get much better than this. If you’re an avid reader of paranormal beasties and you like a good measure of steamy sex in your stories, then you’ll probably enjoy Instinct by Lizzie Lynn Lee. It’s a quick read with a fast pace that wastes little time in getting to the good stuff. My only complaint? I wanted more. Perhaps Ms. Lee plans to expand on her characters in future installments. I know I’ll be quick in line to read them.

Three’s a magic number in this steamy love triangle set in a British stately home. Alice Brown has just landed her dream job. Property manager at Davenport Manor, a British stately home. It’s only a nine-month contract to cover maternity leave, but it’s the boost up the career ladder she so desperately needs. Unfortunately, things don’t get off to the best start, when Alice finds her boss, Jeremy Davenport, in a compromising position. Far from being embarrassed by what’s happened, Jeremy turns things around on Alice and makes her out to be the one in the wrong. So when he and his best friend and head of security, Ethan Hayes, throw an ultimatum at her, she’s so stunned and confused that she goes along with their indecent proposal. When the dust settles and Alice has time to think about things, she realises that perhaps it isn’t such a bad thing. There are worse things she could be doing to advance her career, after all.

A romp in the countryside is perfect for spicing up a girls love life especially when not one but two men want in on the action!

Stately Pleasures follows the story of Alice, a graduate who has taken up a managerial job in an English stately home. She’s thrilled with her new role that will help her up the career ladder. But when she catches her boss Jeremy in a compromising position things get awkward. Even more so when his head of security Ethan joins in with the escapade and the two men give her an ultimatum she just can’t refuse. There’s a touch of blackmail going on here but…well, it all makes for a fun premise!

This is a face paced book – which suits me – with well rounded characters and a delicious ‘Downton Abbey’ setting! The sex scenes are hot but they take a while to get going making it believable, and then once they do, oh my goodness, ereader on fire time!

I liked the maze scene. I enjoyed the dialogue and banter between the three characters. The sex grew in intensity as did the characters feelings for one another. There’s lots to like in Stately Pleasures and I’ll certainly be reading more from Ms Felthouse who gets erotic romance just right – it hits the spot!
