Detective Jordan Delany has a gift. Through her dreams, she connects with dead victims of violent crimes. Her isolated life as a drug cop is perfect for hiding the freakish visions, until her newest investigation has her posing as a cocktail waitress in a down-and-dirty strip club. When she’s saved from a drunken customer by a handsome stranger, the heated chemistry is exactly why she intends to keep Mr. Arrogant at bay. But learning he’s the new bouncer for the corrupt club she intends to bust just might be the one reason why she can’t.

By the time you are old, your hair thought about that order viagra is beyond the help of modern medicine. Growing buy viagra in india age also causes weakness in bones and other organs. In that sildenafil 50mg price case, the person is said to go for the second pill. Tyler McGee suspects a drug ring operating out of the local club is flooding the streets of his hometown with heroin. Determined to get answers, he plays the part of a fallen cop and lands the job of head bouncer. What he discovers is that the club owner isn’t the only deadly obstacle he’s facing. His attraction to an intriguing cocktail waitress with a penchant for danger just might kill him first.

Dream Huntress is a suspenseful read that you won’t want to put down.  The biggest reason for that are the very convincing main characters and the chemistry between them. Jordan is written as a feisty, ingenious and independent woman whose dangerous job keeps her busy enough to distract her from her demons. I liked how she feared no one and gave back as good as she got.

Similarly, Tyler is a man who is sure of himself and his male charms but in a fun, down-to-earth way that doesn’t make him seem arrogant. The quick-paced romance between Jordan and Ty made for an enticing, fast read. Jordan’s struggling with her emotions and the need to keep Ty at a distance was completely believable, although perhaps mentioned a few times too many. Bahan, Jordan’s boss, was another intriguing character, well-portrayed and interesting.

The romance part of the novel was far more interesting than the plot with the police chasing the drug dealers. That was too simple since practically nothing happened in that regard until the very end. When Jordan had a vision of the final conflict, she was convinced the other cop in the diner was corrupt even though there was no proof – he might have pointed his gun at Ty because he didn’t know Ty was an undercover cop and he was waving his gun around in a diner. Also, Ty and Jordan kissed way too many times at the Buck’s bar parking lot and it seemed highly unlikely that no one noticed them.

Despite the fairly simple undercover investigation plotline, the novel is compelling because of the relationship between Ty and Jordan. Their relationship repeatedly made them deliriously happy on one page and brokenhearted on the next, and it was complex enough to enthrall me.

The undercover stint is a great background to the hot romance between two cops who can’t fight the attraction between them despite the dangers a relationship entails.

Standing at the edge of eternity, the old woman and the Bennetts have the complex task of setting certain aspects of the past in order as the doors to their lives are closing.

Guy is thrust into an unexpected and unwanted voyage of self-discovery as he is solely enjoined to bring the three together one last time.

Many things are dulled by the passage of time. Love isn’t one of them.

The character development in this tale was strong, especially when it came to Guy’s personality and backstory. He has a complicated and sometimes contradictory set of motives that made me wish there will one day be at least one sequel dedicated to his personal evolution. Guy felt so real to me that I scrolled back up to the beginning to make sure this was a work of fiction. It was just that hard to believe that he wasn’t based on an actual human being.

The cast of characters is a little larger than I would have expected for something length. Had it been a little longer I don’t think I would have ever noticed this, but so many important people are introduced in the first chapter or two that I had a little trouble remembering who was who at first. This is a minor criticism, though, and as soon as I sorted everyone out I was quickly lured back into the enthralling plot.

Mr. McCoy wrote such detailed descriptions that I felt as though I was experiencing everything alongside the characters. From a sun-baked alien world to a retired transport ship, every single scene was so compelling that I ended up reading this story in one sitting. This was my first introduction to his work. Based on how impressed I was by his writing ability, I’m eagerly anticipating his next project.

The Travelers is an excellent choice for anyone who loves time travel in their science fiction. Be prepared to read it more than once though. I know I will!

The Women’s Murder Club is stalked by a killer with nothing to lose.

San Francisco Detective Lindsay Boxer is loving her life as a new mother. With an attentive husband, a job she loves, plus best friends who can talk about anything from sex to murder, things couldn’t be better.
Women with a history of prepregnancy depression or anxiety may also trigger impotency. generic levitra vardenafil cost of cialis The techniques is so advanced that the person need to take. Then the FBI sends Lindsay a photo of a killer from her past, and her happy world is shattered. The picture captures a beautiful woman at a stoplight. But all Lindsay sees is the psychopath behind those seductive eyes: Mackie Morales, the most deranged and dangerous mind the Women’s Murder Club has ever encountered.

In this pulse-racing, emotionally charged novel by James Patterson, the Women’s Murder Club must find a killer–before she finds them first.

After all the chaos surrounding her daughter’s birth, and subsequent illness, things in the Boxer-Mollinari household are finally settling down. That’s what she’s hoping for anyway, until a killer from her past resurfaces – Mackie Morales. If that were the only issue Lindsay was dealing with, she might be okay, but with two of her best friends in scary, improbable situations, she finds herself being torn in seven different directions at once. Who will she help first and how will it all turn out?

Lindsay Boxer has been my favorite character from the beginning of this series. I’ve loved her drive, her determination, and her ability to keep moving forward when everything else around her is falling apart. To see her finally get her man (and not have him die on her) and find happiness has been a relief to me. As awesome as her dog, Martha, is, a girl needs something more sometimes. And Joe is that something.

As far as the rest of the Women’s Murder Club goes, I’ve also always adored Claire’s character. The motherly, always enthusiastic medical examiner is there whenever you need a bit of levity – or motherly advice – thrown into a situation. That said, it’s taken me awhile to get used to Yuki. Even now, she has her moments when she makes me a bit crazy, but what she goes through in this book makes her a little less needy and more tolerable. Cindy, on the other hand, continues to grate on my nerves. She’s reckless, she’s selfish, and she’s seemingly consumed with a desire to get her man back, after she threw him away to begin with. I keep hoping she’ll grow up and become an adult, but it hasn’t happened yet.

I’ve been a long-time reader of this series and anxiously await each new installment in the Women’s Murder Club series. I will admit, I was a bit wary when approaching this newest novel simply because the last couple haven’t really been up to caliber of the earlier ones. However, I was pleasantly surprised with Unlucky 13. James Patterson’s knack for creating intense, intricate storylines is back full force. Even though one of the three plot lines was a bit more exaggerated than I expected, I still think it worked out well and really kept the level of intensity high throughout. Unlucky 13 was an enjoyable, fast read that kept me on the edge of my seat – and rather unwilling to eat another fast food hamburger ever.

All Sandman wants is to get away from his violent past on Hell’s End, but trouble follows him, leaving him with more blood on his hands and a one-way ticket aboard a crewless prison transport on a pre-set course for Deimos.

By the time he realizes the transport’s actual destination is a mystery, there’s only one other prisoner he can trust. He doesn’t like it, or the things Vijay makes him feel. Caring makes you weak. Makes you easy to hurt. And Sandman’s never been easy, or weak.

Vijay is focused on what he’s always done best. Survival. But Sandman is an enigma, fearless in battle yet terrified of tight spaces. Vijay finds himself longing to break through the fierce young warrior’s shell.

After crash landing on an uncharted planet, they stumble on the justice system’s dirty little secret—the Farm, where prisoners go in but never come out. When the Farm’s threat gets personal, Sandman and Vijay each test the limits of endurance to protect the man at his back—and in his heart.

One’s man hell can be another man’s paradise. Sandman is eager to leave Hell’s End behind for a new start on Mars. Except before his new life can begin, he becomes embroiled in a political tug-of-war and ends up crash-landed on Earth. The only other survivor is Vijay, a man who’s presence in the same craft is kind of Sandman’s fault. However, they both have to put aside their feelings of mistrust to navigate a new and scary world on Earth. With no one to trust and rely on besides each other, Sandman and Vijay must learn to survive and maybe even thrive in the new and hellish world.

Hell on Earth is book two in the Hellscape series by Ally Blue, however, newcomers to the series do not need to read the first book to understand this one. The first book in the series introduces the main character Sandman but focuses more on other characters and the political climate of Hell’s End. In this book the same world building applies but it’s used in much more general ways. It’s still a dystopian/futuristic world where politics are too confusing to follow, though the general vices of greed, cruelty, and heinous acts to the poor still apply. The focus on this second book is the relationship between Vijay and Sandman as they navigate through unfamiliar lands and people. The plot keeps the tension high and action nearly constant to help cover some of the holes in the world building.

If the world building isn’t as strong as it was in the first book, the characterization is better this round. Both Sandman and Vijay leap off the page with their complexity and hot passion. There are a couple of scenes that threw me, mostly because I am not a fan of rimming and I couldn’t stop thinking about how hygiene in a post-apocalyptic world is simply non-existent so… we’ll just say that didn’t work for me. Other than that I really quite enjoyed the couple together and was quickly invested in their outcome as individuals and a couple. They are very nuanced characters with a lot of depth. Thankfully the same can be said of the supporting cast. Although quite large, I identified most of the secondary characters and could remember them as well.

I actually liked the second book in the series more than first because I connected with the protagonists as a couple much more. Plus the non-stop action really kept the pages turning and my attention nearly glued to the story. I would sit to read for 10 minutes and not look up for an hour or more, unaware of the time flying by. To me, that’s a great story. I always look for those stories that I can engage and immerse myself in the created world. I personally love post-apoc fiction so keep that in mind but science fiction fans would probably really enjoy this offering. You don’t need to have read the previous book to catch up and follow along on this one and arguably; this is actually a better book to start. At least in my opinion.

Maggie Pearce and John Harrison are finally free to become a couple–except for the ocean between their homes and the careers that seem to conspire to keep them apart. Maggie’s first ballroom competition in Las Vegas seems the perfect place to rendezvous, but an arrogant dance instructor and a lascivious producer create obstacles at every turn.

Maggie and John just want some time alone.

I definitely feel sorry for Maggie and John. They are trying hard to make their long distance relationship work, but nothing ever seems to go according to plan for the couple. I won’t spill the details, but they can’t even have something as simple as a phone conversation without some sort of mishap. Many of the obstacles Maggie and John overcome on their way to their happy ending are certainly entertaining and had me laughing often.

Maggie and John are likable characters, but I must admit it was a little hard for me to gauge the chemistry between them because they don’t actually spend much time together in this short romance. Most of the plot is about them trying to reach each other. After I read this story, I learned that there are two other previous short stories that feature these characters. I believe reading those stories will help readers better understand Maggie and John and their situation.

There is never a dull moment in Maggie and John’s world. All of the plot complications surrounding Maggie and John’s quest to be together are resolved in quick, yet satisfying ways. I was a little surprised at how things turned out at the ballroom competition. To say it was chaotic is a massive understatement. However, Maggie and Johns reunion is very passionate and certainly well deserved.

I enjoyed reading A Torrid Tango. It is a fun, fast paced story that can easily be enjoyed in one sitting. Readers who enjoy over-the-top plot complications and romantic endings should certainly give A Torrid Tango a try.

A collection of short stories based entirely on dreams the author recorded in his journal. Over a period of almost three months he used techniques learned from various sources (Castaneda, Thelema, Occultism) to record his dreams. The author goes into detail about this process in the Introduction. Mixing fiction with the journal entries, intent on entertaining the reader as well as heightening awareness of the role of dreams in our lives, here is Dreams, Fiction and Me. A paranormal fiction suitable for all ages.

We all have deeply private hopes and fears that sometimes pop up in our dreams, but not everyone is willing to reveal these things to the entire world.

All of the stories in this collection have dreamlike qualities that make it difficult to discuss them without giving away spoilers because they’re so short and often jump into the most important scenes right away. It was fascinating to compare their occasional haziness and plot twists with what I’d ordinarily expect from science fiction, though. It was the perfect genre to pick for such a unique method of storytelling.

Certain plots jumped abruptly from one scene to the next in ways that occasionally left me in the lurch. While this isn’t surprising given their origins, there were a few cases in which it would have been really helpful to have a smoother transition from one idea to the next. At times I actually wondered if I was reading about two separate dreams because their various sections were so different from one another.

I really appreciated the explanations that were included after each tale. Apparently some of the dreams were edited in order to make them flow more smoothly. The unconscious mind doesn’t always follow the same narrative structure one would expect from fiction, so these changes were necessary and good. It was helpful to know that the author made this decision, though, as I would have assumed everything was written exactly as it occurred otherwise.

Dreams, Fiction and Me is the most creative anthology I’ve read so far this year. Give it a try if you have any interest at all in dream interpretation or experimental science fiction.

The plot is complex and fast-moving. Just when I though I had things figured out, another twist would take me in a new direction. The clues were all present. The author plays fair with her readers. Nevertheless, I couldn’t figure it all out until the end.

Hilary Adams is a wonderful, strong, well-defined character and I liked her from the moment I met her, as she was awakened from a deep sleep in the middle of the night by a phone call from her friend Judge Susan Emmett-Bradley. Susan’s husband, John Bradley, has been viciously murdered and Susan has found him.

From the moment Hilary arrives on the scene, she discovers that things are not what they seem. It also doesn’t help that Lieutenant Peter Elliot is in charge of the investigation because Peter and Hilary were involved and then Hilary backed off from the relationship, feeling that it was too soon after the death of her husband. That added dynamic enriches the plot and causes both Hilary and Peter to react in ways that they might normally not have done.

Hilary is very smart and she is going to need every ounce of her intelligence and her detective skills to defend a client who is less than truthful, a friend who has been keeping some pretty major secrets from her. I really didn’t like Susan much and there are a number of other suspects who were equally unappealing personally, but they definitely ramped up the suspense and made Hilary’s job harder.

If you’re a mystery fan, looking for a riveting tale which can’t be put down, then this might just be what you’re looking for. But do feed any fur friends first.

She took a healthy swallow of brandy, unaware of Gray’s steadfast gaze on her. “The sale of the manor will only cover the remaining debts. There will be nothing left to buy even a small cottage so that I can care for my sisters. I can provide them nothing.”

“Your father’s debts are not your fault, Felicity. The choices he made were his, and his alone.”

“Still, it is my burden to carry. Who will provide for Abby, Grace and Phoebe if I do not?” She set her glass down on the desk and took a deep breath. “We have no relatives, but I think I have found a way out of our predicament.” Gray raised his eyebrows, but said nothing. “Would you like to know what my plan is?”

He nodded. “Please, enlighten me.”

She took a deep breath and then stated, “I want to come work for you.”

“You want to what?” he asked in confusion.

“It is a perfectly reasonable request.”

“Reasonable? You are a gently-bred young lady, ill suited to menial labor.”

She sighed, crestfallen. “A paid position in a wealthy home is the best I can hope for. I can run a household. I will gladly be your housekeeper.” Gray was momentarily shocked into silence. “I have no hope for marriage. Winterbourne was my only opportunity. I have no dowry, and I come with three sisters equally destitute.”

“You could marry me,” Gray suggested slowly as if he was just coming to the conclusion himself.

This is the second Choc-Lit title I’ve read that’s set in Cornwall, and like the first one, it was a story that drew me in from page one. This one begins with a character planning to end their life…don’t worry it all works out okay, but its outcome is the driving force for the rest of the story.

Karen and Tris seem to be the perfect married couple, apart from Karen’s fear of venturing outside. There were flashbacks from the point of view of the character who tried to end their life, and for a long time I couldn’t figure out if it was Karen or Tris which actually kept me reading to see if my first inclination was right.

The setting is wonderful and well described by Ms. James. I liked Karen and Tris but I think the other secondary characters kept me interested just as much. All are well-rounded and have interesting personalities.

The plot is very entertaining and when someone begins blackmailing Karen I couldn’t put my e-book reader down. There were late night meetings in churchyards, escalating threats and all things that make a great suspense. I won’t give away what happens to the blackmailer but I thought that perhaps the incident would up the suspense just a tad more but it didn’t, which was a bit disappointing to me.

I was cheering for Karen, but actually more for Tris because he came across as sweetheart of a husband who seemed to go to any length to protect his wife from dangers of the past.

Although this is close to a 300 page book you’ll find the pacing fast because of its page turning quality and your need to find out what Karen’s fate will be.

Summer’s still young and if you’re looking for one more title to add to your beach book pile and love suspense, I’d recommend this one to you.
