For every desire, there’s a man to meet it. Someone’s annoyance is another’s kink. In this naughty collection of short stories, indulge your fantasies, and follow our heroines as they find just the right type of guy or guys…

From bouncing cocks to virgins, slow coaches, true Scotsmen, and messy play partners, sex toy experts and their mischievous friends—these guys are in need of their ladies. Why is one guy too grumpy to believe, another always too early? And can there ever be a future with a hired killer?

Only one way to find out. You might just meet your ideal guy.

Her Type of Guy was a fun anthology with a set of different stories that entertained (some more than others) me.

The Man with the Bouncing Cock by Doris O’Connor

I don’t know who decided to set the order of the stories, but with a title like that I entered the anthology with gusto. I’ve read other works by Doris O’Connor, and once again, she didn’t disappoint. From the start, in barely a few lines, I was able to feel an emotional connection with the hero. I laughed, frowned and felt sad at times. Though the ending was a bit disappointing due to its abruptness, the story was sweet and mildly hot.

Grumpy Pants by Doris O’Connor

Another delightful piece and one of my favorites. The story’s development was pleasantly surprising; the characters had a great connection and unlike her other story, this one was sizzling hot.

A True Scotsman by Raven McAllan

This was my least favorite story in the anthology. There was a lot of dialogue meant to be sexy and fun, but didn’t quite cut it for me. I felt no connection with either of the characters, only catching brief glimpses of a relationship that wasn’t explained in any way and felt one-sided. The descriptions were well done, but the whole tale felt like a chapter pulled from another bigger piece.

No Longer Pure As… by Raven McAllan
They just have to visit the buy cialis on line website of a trusted online pharmacy is longevity. This problem viagra sale review can interfere in your sexual life is certainly going to suffer. As Medicals are spreading their generic cialis range to pull in patients they are acting so right in order to competing with contenders by developing ambulatory facilities straightaway nearby a contender’s main yard. This one I enjoyed. It was engaging and funny. The lead character, Marcus, was sweet and had some internal dialogue that had me grinning in several places. Overall it was cute, and left me with a smile.

Only When Allowed by Michaela Rhua

This was a great, unique piece. Here was another guy I felt sorry for, but not for long. Michaela Rhua brought an unexpected twist to the story which made it wonderful and scorching hot. It was by far, my favorite piece in the anthology.

Snail’s Pace by Michaela Rhua

This one was a nice story with some slow, heated, passion.

Ghost by Ella Grey

This one was sweet. There was no sex, just a heart stopping attraction and chemistry between the characters that had me delve into the story with gusto. The piece could easily expand into something longer, but it was well plotted and written as a short story and enjoyable to read as such.

Messy by Ella Grey

This one was a very enjoyable erotic story. Quick and scorching, it explained the title of the piece perfectly.

The Tickle Arms and Delightful Consequences by Morgan King

These two pieces go hand in hand. The first one is a warmer, introducing the characters and some fun, sexy, public play, whilst the second one amps the heat by several degrees introducing another character. It was, in my opinion, the most erotic story in the anthology, and was the cherry on top as the ending to the book.

All in all, Her Type of Guy was an enjoyable anthology guaranteed to get heat you up and keep you entertained.

Neither kink nor curse can stop a woman with a mission.

Cecily Harrowsmith, secret agent extraordinaire, is a woman on a mission. When the remote Indian kingdom of Rajasthan refused to remit its taxes to the Empire, Her Majesty imposed an embargo. Deprived of the energy-rich mineral viridium, essential for modern technology and development, Rajasthan was expected to quickly give in and resume its payments. Yet after three years, the rebellious principality still has not knuckled under. Cecily undertakes the difficult journey to the rugged, arid land of the Raj puts to determine just how it has managed to survive, and if possible to convince the country to return to the Empire’s embrace. Instead, she’s taken captive by a brigand who turns out to be the ruler’s half-brother Pratan and delivered into the hands of the sexy but sadistic Rajah Amir, who expertly mingles torture and delight in his interrogation of the voluptuous interloper.

Cursed before birth by Amir’s jealous mother, Pratan changes to a ravening wolf whenever the moon is full. Cecily uncovers the counter-spell that can reverse the effects of the former queen’s hex and tries to trade that information for her freedom. Drawn to the fierce wolf-man and sympathising with his suffering, she volunteers to serve as the sacrifice required by the ritual—offering her body to the beast. In return, the Rajah reveal Rajasthan’s amazing secret source of energy. In the face of almost impossible odds, Cecily has accomplished the task entrusted to her by the Empire. But can she really bear to leave the virile half-brothers and their colourful land behind and return to constraints of her life in England?

When Cecily Harrowsmith, a secret agent for the Queen, is sent on a mission to investigate Rajasthan and how they are managing without the Empire, things get a bit dicey.
Erectile dysfunction has been impacting on the health of intimacy of the people, the medical experts explain that they must make proper consumption of the medicinal treatments like Kamagra Polo which have been efficient one in order order cheap levitra http://icks.org/n/data/ijks/1482461222_add_file_2.pdf to safeguard the health of intimacy in a versatile way. Cecily is a go getter type of personality and she takes her duty as a spy very seriously. Rajasthan should have crumbled after the the Empire withdrew its backing and she has been sent to see just how well they are getting on. When her carriage is waylaid early into the mission, things go decidedly awry and Cecily finds herself naked and seduced by a bandit as her coach is taken from underneath her. Angry, but very aroused by this feisty blackguard, she falls under his spell and is striped, tied up, caged and has wild and unparalleled sex like she has never known, but has always dreamed of. Will Cecily complete her mission, or will the beguiling eyes of Pratan, the king’s brother bewitch her into forgetting why she journeyed to the fall off land to begin with?

At first the story rolls out like a very spicy abduction story, with some very graphic and delicious sex scenes that quite frankly curled my toes. Lisabet Sarai never fails to delight with her tales. In this one, we have the exotic culture of an Arabian Nights kind of set up, complete with a jealous sex slave and a king that will leave no stone unturned to explore all the carnal delights he can conceive of. Pratan, the king’s brother, is a hunky yet conflicted hero. He was cursed at birth by a witch to become a rutting beast and that is exactly what he is when the moon casts its wicked spell. Cecily’s arrival has put Pratan’s change into overdrive and it becomes dangerous for everyone around them. Cecily must use all of her skills as a spy to find out the secrets of this exotic land and stop a curse before it destroys everything she begins to hold dear.

This book really took me far and wide. At first you have a kidnapping fantasy with rip roaring sex that honestly left me breathless. Then you have a ménage with kinky toys that made me crunch ice. ( A lot). Then you add a paranormal twist and I couldn’t decide what I enjoyed more. It all worked. Every part of it. The hero was alpha male all the way, but had a soft side too and that made me fall for him too. The heroine was brave and adventurous and embraced every experience that came her way. I loved that. The action was amazing and the sex scenes sizzled through my e-reader. The other thing about this book was the steampunk elements that added spice to an already fun plot. Gadgets that tie you up by oral command, collars that kill and more await in this fast paced and stimulating read.

If you want a scorching summer read that will take you back into the past for a spy story that is like no other you are likely to come across, then you have to give this one a try.

They lived the life they were given; they loved the life they made.

Cheerleader Taylor Smith doesn’t want to die a virgin. Unfortunately, if the terminally-ill leukemia patient doesn’t find a lover or a stem-cell match within months, her fear will become reality. When her cancer mentor is revealed to be a hottie entrepreneur from California, it seems fate might finally be on her side.

Tech-geek Gavin Taylor has everything he ever wanted, except someone to grieve for him when he’s gone. With his melanoma cancer beyond the help of his riches, he agrees to participate in a cancer patient mentoring program where he’s matched with a dying teen from Texas. Despite his immediate attraction, the Silicon Valley whiz intends only to provide friendship and happy memories to the beautiful, young woman who is determined to win his love.

When it’s discovered that his frozen sperm and her harvested eggs could lead to a cure, Taylor’s mother offers to be a surrogate. And Gavin must decide if he can risk the heart he has never given and a child he’ll never know to a girl he just met.

Men below the age of 18 should strictly stay away from processed foods, sildenafil online no prescription fast foods and desserts. Even though I read A Taylor-Made Life with blurry eyes at times with tears brimming over, I felt privileged to know such determined, courageous characters. Since cancer is the number one enemy they battle, I related in a very personal way having watched family members and precious friends in a life and death struggle with this cruel invader.

While A Taylor-Made Life is not the usual happy-ever-after, it is such a beautiful love story, I would hate for you not to know about it. Also there is foreshadowing of what will happen in a second book that will be out soon. Kary Rader must have had some up-close experience with cancer and the emotional upheaval it brings as well as the physical suffering. She reaches out and touches that something inside that makes one cry and care and hope against hope for the characters to win battles that seem unwinnable.

Seventeen-year-old former cheerleader Taylor Smith is out of options for a Leukemia cure. A marrow transplant cannot be found. She tells her mother she doesn’t want to die a virgin and enlists her help. These two have a special connection that is a joy to see even if it is just vicariously. They have an unbreakable bond that never weakens—a unique understanding to admire.

Gavin Taylor, the billionaire entrepreneur and genius computer game creator, is along fighting cancer and functioning with determination and a touch of desperation. He is estranged from his family and his friends are friends because he can make them rich and richer. His volunteer work as a cancer patient mentor has him knocking on Taylor’s door and welcomed with open arms. Did he ever get a surprise and the gift of his lifetime!

Ms. Rader creates secondary characters that seem so real. Some show their true colors and seem to circle like vultures waiting for Gavin to die; their greed, underhanded dealings, and threats are appalling. The people of the unfeeling media wreck havoc on two lovers without any compassion; they are worse than vultures. They want to feed on their prey before it is dead. Of course, other secondary characters like Maureen and John, Taylor’s parents give and support unstintingly. The reader even can enjoy the undercurrent that Maureen brings to the story while all the time her heart is breaking.

Kary Rader weaves a spellbinding tapestry of a tale as she lets the reader into the minds of Gavin and Taylor to feel the confusion and vicariously experience their battle against fear and hopelessness. She helps the reader understand the ferocity with which the two play their computer games—a symbolic battle that they have hopes of winning. While the tapestry is very dark with disease and dreadful people, it also has a beautiful brightness of friendship, fun, family and fantastic love that gives above and beyond AND Gavin’s lawyer that knows how to “kick butt”. A Taylor-Made Life truly shows the reader characters that live the life they were given; love the life they made—a theme that threads through the story. The foreshadowing throughout the story is subtle but there to let the reader no life goes on and more good things are ahead for the former high school cheerleader that had to grow up so fast. I’m eager to read the next book.

Racing hearts and race trucks…things happen fast on track.

Adam Lowry is known in the racing community as the best crew chief. He doesn’t pull punches or put up with diva antics from drivers no matter what. But there is one man he never quite got over. Will Camden, his former lover and now the latest addition of the Flash Racing team.

All Will Camden needed was a second chance to prove he’s got what it takes to race with the big dogs in the truck series. When he’s asked to fill in for another driver at Flash, he’s determined to make the best of the situation. Knowing his ex is his crew chief is bonus points.

Can they make the jump from being a solid team on the track to solid in bed or will they crash and burn before the end of the race?

Hot Laps is part of Megan slayer’s Track Domination series, and it holds all the passion for racing that Ms. Slayer holds dear.

When the lead driver for Flash Racing quits just before a race, crew chief Adam Lowry has no idea what the owner will do for a driver. When the replacement walks into the pit, Adam is stunned: it is his former lover and friend, Will Camden. Adam ran from Will three years before, not because he didn’t care, but because he was afraid of everything Will made him feel. After three years, the feelings are still there, but can Adam work with Will without the closeness they once had? Does he even want to? As for Will, he never stopped loving Adam, and the proof is tattooed across his back, a permanent reminder of the man he wants back in his life. But first, Will needs to find out why Adam ran, so they can fix it and move on. Within hours of Will’s return, Adam is aching for all that Will can give him, but is he strong enough to accept what Will offers this time? Can he be honest with Will and explain what made him run three years ago? Can these two find a way to work, and play together and forge a true relationship?

The characters in this have a history, and I enjoyed watching these two men discover love again with each other. The character development is excellent, and the story kept me riveted, wanting to know what came next with them. I like the world Ms. Slayer has built here, the gritty world of truck racing, with the risks as well as the high times and successes.

Adam Lowry is a strong character, but he has his flaws just like any real human being. He loved Adam when they were together, especially their D/s games and the way Will made him feel. It was Adam’s insecurity that came between them before, and Adam isn’t sure if he can get past it this time around, and believes maybe it would be better to stay away this time. Until the first time he and Will are alone, when everything rushes back, and Adam discovers himself, finally, with help from Will. I like Adam for his honesty, and his willingness to take a chance at a future with the one man he could never forget.

Will Camden is strong, sexy, and determined to win back the heart of the one man he never got over. Adam has been on his mind for three years, and this may be his last chance to find out where it all went so wrong. He is willing to do whatever it takes to bring Adam back to his side, including reversing roles, and letting Adam take the dominant role in the bedroom for a change. I liked Will for his perseverance, his determination to help Adam in order to learn the truth behind it all, and his willingness to let Adam be who he is.

I enjoyed visiting Ms. Slayer’s world of hot racers who know exactly who they are and what they want. The passion in each of the characters is expressed with fiery heat, and the bedroom games are more than hot. I enjoyed watching as these two played, and I could see the love they have for each other in every action. Ms. Slayer was able to build a loving relationship in such a short time, I could not put this one down. If you are looking for a very hot, very brief story, this one hits the spot very well.

Lizbeth wasn’t given a choice whom to marry. She’d been betrothed to the, stubborn, arrogant, egotistical, Adan Hammerstrike, barbarian prince, heir to the throne of Alaria, and…and…murderer, since the day she’d been born. But, did that mean she wasn’t entitled to follow her own dreams? Especially if those dreams could keep those she cared for safe? And so what if Adan had grown from the troll of a little boy he’d been into a ridiculously handsome, sexy man. Her heart could resist him, couldn’t it?

The last thing on Albrath, Adan ever wanted was to be saddled for all of eternity to the screeching, boring, lackluster, Lizbeth Soulenticer. Though her beauty’s beyond compare, there are only so many turns of the hourglass in a night to enjoy it. The rest of the unbearable time, he’ll be forced to contend with her silly, hero worship, and her stupid pet choices. But, Adan is a man bound by duty and honor, and he will do what he must, even though he longs for a mate who will challenge him in bed and out. Not that he’ll give her his heart, mind you, at least not until they both find themselves Taken by the Passion.

Looking for a fantasy world of trolls, elves, barbarians, magic … and plenty of heat? Taken by the Passion fits the bill.

Lizabeth appears to be a well-trained woman, raised her entire life to be wife of Adan, barbarian price. But appearances are deceiving. She has more spirit and backbone than we’re originally led to believe. And Adan (the bunny killer) isn’t exactly what he appears to be either.

I liked Adan … sexy, intelligent and frequently funny. An ideal hero, even if Lizabeth doesn’t think so at first. She’s determined to make her own way, to go to the academy despite what she’d been raised to do. She has spunk and Adan is mostly pleased by this. Lizabeth grew on me, too, after a bit. She starts out a little mousy (who can blame her when we find out how she was raised), but her spirit was never broken.

The author weaves a story with threads of humor, sex, sadness and suspense. There’s more here than you might think, and while it can sometimes feel like a little too much more, it’s worth reading to the end. I’m still not a huge fan of the gnomes, but that may just be because I prefer humor that’s a bit less slapstick and a little more intellectual. Sometimes Lizabeth’s backbone gets a little stronger than it should, and the two butt heads, which is occasionally frustrating, but nothing I couldn’t get past.

There’s no shortage of the action between the sheets, either. Adan wastes little time trying to woo, talk or trick Lizabeth into bed. Who could resist him? Not me… and not Lizabeth either. The sex is steamy and well written and are some of the best scenes in the book.

Overall, I really enjoyed this tale. It’s the second in the series I’ve read (there are three so far), but it stands easily alone. If you enjoy sexy fantasy that doesn’t take itself seriously, I can recommend Taken By the Passion.

Their bites are more than deadly…

The small town near the Everglades was supposed to offer Rachel and her son a fresh start. Instead it offered the start of a nightmare, when an unknown breed of flies migrated through the area, leaving painful bites in their wake. The media warned people to stay inside until the swarm passed. But the flies didn’t leave. And then the radios and TVs went silent.

That’s when the spiders came. Spiders that could spin a deadly web large enough to engulf an entire house overnight. Spiders that left stripped bones behind as they multiplied. Spiders that, like the flies, sought hungrily for tender flesh…through Violet Eyes.

There was something lurking in the dark forest of Sheila Key Island. It emerged from a scientific experiment. It forms a force both deathly and infectious that horrifyingly intersects with the lives of those living in Passanatte, Florida. Now the question is: Can it be contained?

The important tablets can be acquired, since cialis generika being an oral cure presented in the marketplace in several versions of pills. cialis is made up with best chemical composition likewise other extensively praised brands that help drastically to combat impotency. Overcoming a rocky divorce, single mother of one, Rachel Riordan moves to Passanatte, Florida to get away from her ex-husband and start her life anew. All seems well, Rachel has a new job, and nice friendly neighbors to watch after her 10 year old son until she get’s home from work. her college aged neighbor, Billy has been on the news as the sole survivor of an attack by a unknown breed of flies that happened on Sheila Key Island.

Billy has been experiencing severe headaches that simple Motrin can’t relieve. The towns people are noticing flies that attack leaving painful bites. Pets are going missing. Spider webs are taking over homes. The town is unknowingly under attack by the flies that bite and leave larva, which within a short time span the larva hatches into a multitude of spiders.

Violet Eyes is a edge of your seat thriller that had me running from every spider and fly that I saw. This book is not for the squeamish. This is a gripping scary story that gives an extended version of the television shows Infested and Monsters Inside of Me. John Everson built a convincing world that is believable, it kept me engrossed and it is so wonderfully written with descriptive gory details. Even though the mutation most likely isn’t possible the author did a wonderful job in making the story believable with his writing style, and making the story easy to follow. The novel flowed nicely and didn’t leave any unanswered questions.

This book is still a five star to me even with a few grammar mishaps and also towards the end of the book it was mentioned that they were traveling in a car, and then later it mentions they are in a SUV.. nothing incredibly important to the plot, just something that pulled me out of the story for a moment.  Violet Eyes is a very entertaining read, and I will definitely look for more writing from Mr. Everson and add him to my favorite author’s list.

I highly recommend Violet Eyes to anyone interest in reading a filling horror story. It is a must read from a talented writer. With such creativity, I found myself in the author’s imagination well after finishing the novel- scratching my head and wondering “what if…?”

Chicago real estate agent Laurie Atkins is gardening beneath the relentless August sun when her dog’s frantic barks divert her to a dead body sprawled on the front acreage of her Wisconsin summer home. She rushes inside to phone the police, but the body disappears. Laurie begins to doubt her own sanity. Then the unidentified body turns up on the driveway of Helga Beckermann, her devious neighbor.

When her emotionally withdrawn husband skips town on the holiest day on the Jewish calendar, Laurie uncovers truths she’d rather deny. Her family in peril, Laurie enlists the help of two women she thinks she can trust: former Chicago Tribune investigative reporter Mitzy Maven, and tough-talking CPD detective Maggie O’Connor.

Laurie Atkins finds a body in her front yard, but then the body disappears and no one seems willing to believe her. Then the body turns up in her neighbor’s driveway, but no one can identify it. This is a mystery with enough twists and turns to keep everyone guessing. There are secrets piled on top of secrets. There are multiple characters with the same initials. Nothing makes sense until the very end of the story.

Jennie Spallone has written an intriguing and mystifying plot involving a lot of very different characters, many of whom are lying and withholding information. The plot moves between Wisconsin and Chicago, and it is told from many different perspectives, with jumps forward and backwards in time. The multiple perspectives do provide the reader with a lot of information, which is helpful, but occasionally the point of view gets broken and multiple perspectives operate in the same scene. There are also some minor inconsistencies in the details. For example, twice the author says that Laurie Atkins has been married for ten years and twice she says Laurie has been married for thirteen years. The length of the marriage is not significant, but possibly another round of editing would help to fix the minor glitches in details and point of view.

However, the plot is engaging and while I would have liked to have seen more depth to the characters, overall, it hangs together well and I was eager to discover how it would all work out. It is also refreshing to have a mystery novel with very little violence. And it is fun to have a real estate agent solving the mystery.

Mystery fans seeking a plot with plenty of twists and turns, along with a slew of secrets, will enjoy unraveling the story behind the mystery man’s corpse.

Big Creek might be a stereotypical small town but even they have drama.

Heather loves her little café, and her best customer is the county Sherriff. She’s been waiting months for him to ask her out…maybe she won’t have to wait much longer.

Bronson feels at home in Big Creek even though he hasn’t been the Sherriff for long. Small towns have their perks and a pretty café owner who cooks like an angel certainly doesn’t hurt. Now, if he could only get over his nerves and drum up the gumption to ask her out.

Throw in a gossip mill, a redneck festival and an ill timed attempt to help and you end up with some laughs, some ruffled feathers and a town that is….Redneck Fabulous.

The first thing that caught my attention was the fact this book is part of The Redneck Fabulous Series. I mean, have you ever heard the words Redneck and Fabulous used in sentence before? I HAD to read this!
Those treatments are the tadalafil online india common ways for CPPS in Western countries. Many couples why not look here order levitra online prefer the medicines when they plan to make love. Patients having cheapest cialis online pulmonary problems, like cystic fibrosis, to get fluid build-up out of the lungs might need manual therapy. Bronson is the new Sheriff in town and he takes his meals at the Fried Pickle Café. It’s the only real eating joint in town but it also has a real pretty owner that sometimes sits and has coffee with him. He’s trying to get his nerve up to ask her out.

The author does an excellent job of writing a light romance that makes you care about her characters. Bronson is a bit shy and is ten years older than Heather. Heather’s last relative died and left her the restaurant. She knows everyone in town but doesn’t want to be too forward.

What really tickled me was the antics of old Gus. Gus gets into the middle of the parade when he’s not invited; he peeks in old ladie’s windows and pees on their sidewalks. And until the Sheriff puts him in jail you don’t learn that Gus is an old horse… That was sneaky Ms. Daniels, and a very nice touch to the story.

Just as Heather and the Sheriff are getting ready to be brave enough to date, Gus comes between him. Heather wants to protect him; Bronson must follow the law. The dance of love in this story has a few missteps but they keep dancing.

Ms. Daniel’s words flow well, I could see the small Texas town in my mind as I read the story, and just reading about the events at the weeklong fair is enough to make you chuckle. Have you ever heard of Cow Chip Bingo? You need to get this book and read it so you can learn about this main event and learn about old Gus’ fate. You also need to read it because it will make you laugh and it’s a fun read. Thanks for a good read, Ms. Daniels.

A Jane Austen Space Opera, Book 2

Lady Violet Blackmyre, the daring “Black Duchess” of the Queen’s Light Dragoons, never thought she’d die a slow, miserable death. Yet only days after being named Field Marshal of the Britannian Army, she’s been diagnosed with consumption.

Giving Cole, her devoted stable hand and “pony”, his freedom is as easy as removing his collar. Convincing him to seek another mistress will be impossible should he learn of her condition. At all costs, she must spare him the pain of witnessing her demise.

Cole will not be pushed away so easily. When he stumbles across a magnificent “stallion” being abused at an illegal human auction, he is sure this wild, untamed brute is the challenge that will re-engage his mistress’s interest.

Arthur is desperate to return to the Iberian front, but betrayal and relentless torture have left him unable to trust himself with a weapon, much less lead soldiers into battle. What’s more, Lady Blackmyre’s dreadful secret is becoming more obvious by the day…and the scourge tearing at her lungs may not be natural at all.

Her Grace’s Stable is the long awaited follow up to Joely Sue Burkhart’s first erotic steam punk novel, Lady Doctor Wyre, and it was worth the wait.

The Black Duchess of the Queen’s Royal Dragoons, Lady Violet Blackmyre, has succeeded in being named Field Marshal of the Britannian Army, a high honor in the land. Shortly after, she is diagnosed with consumption, with no future except a slow and lingering death to look forward to. Deciding to get her affairs in order, she gives her devoted stable hand and ‘pony’ Cole his freedom. But Cole refuses to leave his mistress, and when he rescues a magnificent but abused ‘stallion’, bringing him to Lady Blackmyre’s stables, Violet is determined to save the handsome but silent man and, hopefully, show him that he can be what he was meant to be, without the torture he has been subjected to. At first, Arthur is determined to ignore Violet and Cole and the roles played out in the stable, but as time goes on, he sees that there is caring and affection behind everything the mistress does. When the Queen visits with Lady Blackmyre, it is revealed that her illness is not, in fact, naturally caused, and there is a way to restore Blackmyre to health, catch the traitor who has been trying to undermine the Queen’s rule, and help Arthur accept who he is, Blackmyre accepts the assignment and all it entails. Can Cole and Blackmyre save Arthur, and convince him to stay at Her Grace’s Stables? Will the guilty party be revealed? Can these three people find a happy solution for them all?

I like visiting this alternate reality in space created by Ms. Burkhart, and enjoy the role reversal that is so well depicted, with the women in charge in battle or in the home, and the men are the more domesticated ones. The characters in this are all very strong and determined, and as with all of Ms. Burkhart’s people, multifaceted and charismatic. I will say up front, this is not for everyone, but those who enjoy challenge and something new and unusual, this is a delightful, if darkly erotic, treat.

Lady Violet Blackmyre is strong, determined and ready to face death, but only on her terms. She wants to free her ‘pony’ Cole, but he is having none of it. When she sees the man, the magnificent ‘stallion’ that Cole has rescued, she is determined to help him as much as she can before she becomes too weak to be of any help. I like Lady Blackmyre’s spirit, her honesty and her sense of fair play in her life. I enjoyed watching as she was able to ‘gentle’ Arthur, showing him kindness and discipline at the same time.

Cole, Lady Blackmyre’s favorite ‘pony’ is charming, generous and shows an inner strength when he fights for what he wants. I like that he refuses to be freed from the stable, and is determined to keep his place at Lady Blackmyre’s side, without knowing about her illness and the toll it is taking. I like that he risked himself to help another man, not for any reward, but because of the injustice and cruelty he saw being aimed at Arthur.

Arthur is determined to remain separate and hold on to his sense of shame at what was done to him, and at the desires inside that he feels make him wrong. Arthur is strong, handsome and everything a ‘stallion’ should be. I enjoyed watching and Cole and Lady Blackmyre sneaked past his defenses, and showed him the truth of his possibilities and how to handle what he was feeling. I liked Arthur’s stubborn streak, his determination to not speak at all, thinking as long as he was silent, he was in charge of his own destiny.

There are several court intrigues in this one, with surprising villains behind the evil doings and the ways in which the Queen and Lady Blackmyre handle things is not at all what I expected. As with any Joely Sue Burkhart, the tension rises to unbearable heights before the characters finally come together in an epic explosion of passion. This is not for everyone, but for the adventurous reader who likes some kink and altered reality with their romance, this one will catch and hold the attention quite nicely.

Only One Woman Can Tame Him

When horse breeder Sara Shield encounters Jerden Morokovitz riding naked and bareback, she’s stunned by the magnificence of both man and stallion. But Sara came to Terra Minor hoping to get away from all the men.

If She Can Give Up Her Fear…

The murder of Jerden’s lover by a deranged woman has left this former star attraction of the Zetithian Palace brothel shattered in mind and body. Jerden is sure that Sara can heal his anguish—but not unless he can find the key to her heart.

Right in the first chapter, a reader is whomped over the head with a lust-inducing description when the heroine meets the hero for the first time. If that doesn’t hook a reader, maybe the wonderful scenes with the wild Andalusian horse, Danuban, might appeal. Or maybe the fact that the hero, Jerden, is shunned by the townspeople and suffers from debilitating nightmares, might appeal to a softhearted romance fan who enjoys seeing someone who feels unlovable and broken find happiness. And for others that prefer to read about a heroine who is feisty, independent and who can stand on her own two feet but discovers that loving and needing a man doesn’t mean she’s any less of a strong woman than before, this story delivers. In fact, she learns that her inner strength is more than she realized because of the lengths she’ll go to in defense of that love; well, that’s surely a strong hook as well. Wildcat embraces all these themes plus more in this latest adventure from the amazing mind of Ms. Brooks.

Now a short solution is cialis free samples official pharmacy store available for this common problem in young as well as in older male personalities.
What reached my emotions the strongest was getting to understand what haunted Jerden and the realization that his fears and phobia were grounded in reality The shocker came from who perpetrated it, and why. What also made me feel sad was the emotional fragility of the heroine, Sara. Eventually I found out why she is so distrustful and fearful on the inside, while showing a courageous face to the outside world. I appreciated how the author had Jerden learning about Sara, and how they both learned to trust each other. Eventually it allowed both of them to heal, at least enough to handle the villain.

I figured out who the villain might be because his character was so slimy. What I didn’t expect was what happened. That was a clever trick to play on a reader and certainly provided some intense drama and action to shake things up. And then to find out the absolutely crazy lengths he went through just to get his way? What a whack-job. The author did a great job of creating a dislikable character. Lest a reader thinks they figured everything out, there is a bit of a red herring just to confuse and distract, insuring that to really find out what was going on, you’d have to keep flipping those pages. And I did.

I’ve mentioned the drama, the emotion and the kinds of things that get a reader involved in the plot and conflict. What I need to explore is the fun, the sense of the ridiculous and the clever and witty ways in which Ms. Brooks has her characters speak, act and verbally play. Norludians are still quite entertaining in their own oddball way.

Then there are the scenes when Sara gets her first experiences as to why Zetithian men are so delicious and addicting. Using the word “hot” does not do those parts justice. What was refreshing to read was Jerden telling Sara exactly what she could do that would drive him absolutely wild. He was honest, and that barebones telling-it-like-it-is was very sexy. For a male character, he was comfortable in his own skin and didn’t worry about coming across as being in touch with his “female” side. He knew what he liked but he also knew he liked a woman knowing what she liked too and Jerden’s teaching Sara about that side of herself was powerful writing. I enjoyed every moment, especially when he begged her, “Bite me.” ::: fans self:: It was so erotic.

There is one thing I should mention for readers who don’t like men with long, flowing, sexy locks. I adored how Ms. Brooks described Jerden. I thought he was a great example of a virile male. I shared my enthusiasm with my sister and she wasn’t as enamored of Jerden as I was. In fact, her reaction was rather hilarious. My advice? Give him a chance. It’s his story and it’s powerful in its emotion. The writing will convince you, probably a whole lot better than my words to my sister. I would have been better off telling her to read the book.

Another element I enjoyed was the hint of paranormal when it came to Cria. I think the author was deliberately obtuse and sneaky with how she wrote those scenes. It’s left up to the reader to determine if it was real or imagined. Personally, I prefer to believe that it was real and did happen. It makes the whole experience that much richer.

Wildcat is out-of-this-world sexy and Ms. Brooks’ writing brings to life the eroticism that her Zetithian males are capable of, insuring romance fans the ultimate reading experience. Yes, there is light drama and serious conflict that the hero and heroine have to overcome. And there are the inner conflicts that they both need to face and defeat. But there is a pivotal moment in the story where a reader realizes that the author has touched upon every sense, brought the reader into their world so thoroughly that they don’t want to leave, don’t want the journey to end because once they reach the final paragraph, they are forced to say goodbye to new friends. That pretty much sums up how I felt at the end ofWildcat. Jerden and Sara were a wonderful couple whose story made me laugh, tear up a bit and had me reaching for a glass of ice water. It was a wonderful reading experience and I highly recommend it.
