Robin Goodfellow has met his match.

The Gray Court, Book 4

When the Black Queen kidnaps one of the White Queen’s nephews, Robin Goodfellow is sent to ensure that the young prince safely returns to the bosom of his family. True to his role as Oberon’s Hobgoblin, he is ready for anything…except meeting his truebond, the very delicious, very human Michaela Exton.

Michaela has dreamed about a flame-haired rogue named Robin Goodfellow since she was a little girl, but everyone knows Puck doesn’t really exist. In real life, it’s a dark-eyed man named Ringo who makes her heart beat faster.

She is closer to her dream man than she thinks, and nobody knows it better than Robin, who wears the guise of Ringo. But there’s competition for her love in the form of Lord Raven, who holds a secret that will rock the foundation of Robin’s world. As a Black Court delegate does the unthinkable, leaving an enraged, grief-stricken Robin hanging onto his humanity by a thread, only Michaela has the power to bring him back from the killing edge—if she survives.

Although devensec.com viagra 20mg cipla some women who engage you in a conversation without telling you her boyfriend is nearby speaks to the fact that she finds you very interesting. And, not to forget the high cost of treatments no rx levitra has stimulated Europeans and Americans to opt for South East Asian countries. When Prince Evan Yates, the nephew of Gloriana, the Queen of the White Court, goes missing, she requests aid from Oberon, King of the Gray Court in rescuing him from his kidnappers. Oberon trusts his Hobgoblin, Robin Goodfellow, to do the job. After all, there is only one being more deadly in all of creation than Robin, and that is his King.

This is a political move by the Black Court, but the kidnapping is just a diversion for the real objective: find a way to destroy Robin and his Gray Court so that the Black can assume power once and for all. This is something that Robin is determined to stop, but like all good intentions, complications arise, this time in the persona of one delightful and off center woman, Michaela Exton. All her life, Michaela has been in love with Robin Goodfellow, never once believing he could be real. When Robin goes undercover at the Fairy Con where the negotiations are underway for the return of the victim, Michaela meets Robin, disguised as a man named Ringo Midori, and is drawn to him. Robin recognizes her as his truebond mate, but finds he has unexpected competition for her attention from the most dangerous representative of the Black Court, Lord Raven MacSweeney, the Fear Dearc.

But things are not all they appear to be, and as Robin/Ringo falls under the delight of finding his truebond mate, things begin to spiral out of control in more ways than could be imagined. Can Robin win his fair lady’s hand, while trying to find Prince Evan, and uncover the true reason behind the Black Queen’s trickery? When tragedy strikes, will Robin survive, or will he cause total devastation in his madness?

The Hob is Dana Marie Bell’s fourth entry into the Gray Court series, and is an excellent addition. The world here, as always with Ms. Bell, is extremely well defined, and the characters are all larger than life. This is an imaginative and humorous look behind the scenes at a fantasy convention, as seen through the eyes of the ‘real’ beings, and I enjoyed the irony of it all. There is a darker edge to this, with multiple plot lines running through it, and questions as to who can be trusted throughout the story. Make no mistake, in spite of all the side trips, this is Robin and Michaela’s story, and one of the funniest and most tragic of the series yet.

Michaela Exton is unusual, with a streak of impetuousness and a total disregard for propriety. She is smart, determined and off the wall silly at times, but her devotion to her small patients at the hospital where she works is nothing less than a mama bear for her cubs. She is sassy, and has no internal filters to stop her from saying the most absurd things at times. Her total dedication to Robin Goodfellow, defending her imaginary lover to all her friends, is delightful, especially once she meets the real thing. Once she discovers that all the creatures she believed were imaginary are, in fact, as real as she is, she accepts with an open mind and an open heart. She doesn’t understand how she can love Robin Goodfellow, yet want Ringo too, until he reveals all to her in one night of passion like none she’s known before. I love Michaela, with her funky orange Jeep, her strength of character, and her courage in the face of it all.

Robin Goodfellow AKA The Hob, Oberon’s Hobgoblin, Puck or a myriad of other titles, is the strong, dangerous and extremely lonely man, watching as his friends and acquaintances meet their bonded mates, leaving him ever more alone. Robin is handsome, strong, and extremely loyal to those he surrounds himself with. But he is also lonely, and his dreams of a mate, just one person to be with have been with him a long time. When he meets Michaela, he is stunned to recognize her as the woman from his recent and very hot dreams, and realizes she is meant to be his. I love Robin, for his sense of loyalty, and his total devotion to those he calls friend., and of course, he is totally hot. I loved watching as he fell under the spell of this tiny human woman, and the things he did to win her.

This story is a bit more complex than most of the gray Court Books. There is the usual political posturing from the Black Court, especially from the Malmayne Clan. But there is the side issue of the kidnapping of Prince Evan, the murders around Philadelphia by the Water Horse, or each uisge, and the mystery of Raven MacSweeney’s presence at the negotiations. I loved that Ms. Bell brings in the characters from all the previous books, giving us a look at what is happening with everyone. I enjoyed watching as Ms. Bell subtly wove each of the threads into one marvelous tapestry of love, passion, loss, reunion and a touch of revenge, for a spectacular conclusion to Robin and Michaela’s tale. My one complaint…Ms. Bell has learned the art of the tease, and has left us with a cliffhanger of an ending for the next Gray Court book. I recommend this for those who want to laugh, cry, and fall in love with a rascal named Puck and the woman who steals his heart.

An avid gamer, Jamie Marten loves to escape into online adventure. But when she falls through an antique mirror into a lavish bedchamber—200 years in the past!—she realizes she may have escaped a little too far.

Micah Axelby, Earl of Dunnington, has just kicked one mistress out of his bed and isn’t looking to fill it with another—least of all this sassy, nearly naked woman who claims to be from the future. Yet something about her is undeniably enticing…

This is because one pill of either cialis 5 mg, or it’s generic Tadalafil, enables a man to maintain an erection. She can barely make rent. He’s horse-drawn. She’s Wi-Fi. But in the game of love, these two will risk everything to win.

When Jamie Marten falls through a mirror in the present day and lands in a rather chilly 1816 England, her troubles are only just beginning. Between convincing the Earl of Dunnington that she really is from the future, fending off jealous women, and simply trying to keep it together long enough to make it back home, she’s got her work cut out for her. However, the more time she spends in the presence of this mysterious earl, the less she seems to want to return home.

Jamie Marten is my kind of girl. She’s brash, brazen, and quite the geek at heart. She’s also so very, very out of her element in 1816 England. However, her 21st century determination and desire for happiness help to keep her on her feet, moving forward at all costs. I really loved the way that no matter what happened, she found a way to counter it, even when her heart was breaking.

Micah Axelby, Earl of Dunnington, is every woman’s dream man. Well, maybe if you exclude the accusations of murder hanging over his head. But to his credit, he’s handsome, he’s well-off, and he’s a pretty great guy on his own. His complete and utter confusion and enjoyment over Jamie’s predicament is endearing and at times highly amusing. Despite being quite flummoxed by her modern ways, he’s unable to deny his attraction to her, showing that opposites not only attract, but draw together.

The Geek Girl and the Scandalous Earl is an amusing, heart wrenching and sometimes very steamy twist on the standard time-travel romance. Mixing romance, humor, and the perils of being a modern woman in a not-so-very modern time, the author brings a rollercoaster of emotion into this story. My only wish is that we had been shown more aspects of Jamie’s geekdom. If you’re in the mood for a well-rounded story that will appeal to a wide range of readers, this is a great choice.

But the fan’s dark past might prove less of a danger than Fabian Framling himself. Dark, brooding, and dominating, will he be the one to save her from the fan’s cruel fate…or cause her demise?

Peacock feathers have long been thought to be unlucky. So when Drusilla accidentally comes to possess an India fan made of peacock feathers she has to decide whether she lets the unlucky myth follow her for the rest of her life, or try to live her life to the fullest.

Drusilla spent her entire life watching the eccentric Framlings live a life of privilege and little consequences. Drusilla, the practical one, spends too many years trying to fix everyone else’s mistakes and seemed to forget to live her own life in the process. Drusilla really got to experience a lot when she befriended Lavinia Framling as a child. It saddened me however, that Drusilla seemed to forget about her own needs in order to try to keep her mischievous friend in line. It made for a truly entertaining story.

One thing that did puzzle me was the lack of romantic development between Fabian and Drusilla. For a better part of the story Fabian isn’t even present. While it is obvious he has some type of infatuation with Drusilla the romance just seemed to be missing. I think part of this is because of the time period in which the story took place. Courting was different back then, and Drusilla was a very modest girl. With such little relationship development I would not consider this story a romance novel at all, but by no means does this mean the story was not entertaining.

This was a true adventure of two very different girls who are thrown together by circumstances. I think this is a great story to show morality at its best. While Drusilla may seem plain and uninteresting to some she has a good head on her shoulders which leads her to make practical life choices, as well as try to guide her friend on how a young lady should conduct themselves. The story completely enthralled me from the first page and pulled every emotional imaginable out of me, and in the end I didn’t want the story to end. I would definitely read this story again and again for years to come.

Virginity.

Bliss Edwards is about to graduate from college and still has hers. Sick of being the only virgin among her friends, she decides the best way to deal with the problem is to lose it as quickly and simply as possible—a one-night stand. But her plan turns out to be anything but simple when she freaks out and leaves a gorgeous guy alone and naked in her bed with an excuse that no one with half a brain would ever believe.

Later on, many studies and surveys came up with the conclusion that erection breakdown can viagra generic uk be a natural part of a man’s physical condition, mental condition and age as well. And as if that weren’t embarrassing enough, when she arrives for her first class of her last college semester, she recognizes her new theater professor.

She’d left him naked in her bed about eight hours earlier. . . .

I really cannot say if a twenty two old virgin is rare or not in the real world, but it seems to me that it is very common in romance novels – especially in New adult ones. I do not see virginity issues as a problem, but in the case of Losing It, the whole story revolves around it without any significance.

In Losing It, the drama is toned down, there are no major ups and downs, but certainly there are attempts at them. I missed the lack of significant drama. Actually, I didn’t appreciate that the conflict was tuned down especially because the cornerstone of the story was an illicit relationship between a teacher and the student. But also I did not like it because the author introduced another good place for development of it – love triangle – and then she resolved it too neatly.

On the other hand, the characters are realistic, and their friendship and relationships were believable. They act like what they are: college students. Cora Carmack captured and presented the fun part of a student’s life really well. Not only that, the author presented well students who are in their final year and have to choose their future career path. All the fears and questions related to this are told through Bliss’ eyes, since the story is written from the heroine’s POV. The relationship between Bliss and Garrett is complex and I believe the story would have been stronger if it had been written from alternating points of view.

Losing it has funny moments. It is a light read without a tortured hero and wounded heroine, but with one completely crazy cat. This is a story for readers who prefer less drama, more fun and no huge emotional roller-coaster twists in their stories.

When Nicole Lynch regains consciousness, she doesn’t know who she is or why she’s in the floor of the ladies room of a Macon, Georgia department store. In the struggle to find herself, she rents a room from a vivacious Italian lady in her seventies, and takes a job in an insurance agency to make enough money to live on. She is immediately drawn to one of the owners, Connor Cottingham, not aware that an unbalanced woman has set out to win Connor. When she learns the truth, it’s too late. She has played into the hands of a sadistic killer.

What happens when you have vague memories and you wake up to a strange situation? Could you survive and get by with your wits and senses?

Nicole Lynch has no choice. She has to survive, for someone apparently wanted to harm her. But who? See, that’s the problem. She doesn’t remember! Who is she? What is her past? What’s going on? I admire this character. For her situation, she handles it with an ease that I couldn’t imagine trying to do. Luckily, strangers around her sense that she is a good person and decide to help her out.

The story starts off strong. A good hook, mystery surrounding Nicole and her past. But there’s a lot of factors that pull the story down. The pace turned the other way after a few chapters and was a little slow going. Because of my curiosity about Nicole, and a plot line that might have involved her, I kept going.

The hero of the book is Connor. Nicole ends up working for his office. I really would have loved to learn more about his character. There isn’t a point of view change, so reading more into Connor wasn’t an option. I liked his back story and the conflict that drove him to be the way he is, but while the story had a mild focus on that, it wasn’t a large factor. The relationship between Connor and Nicole didn’t develop in a normal fashion, it seemed all of a sudden to me. There wasn’t the typical tension leading up to their getting together. I am glad they found each other and that they stuck by one another, so their HEA was definitely deserved.

The premise really had a lot of promise, but it sort of fell flat. There’s some questions that never got answered, and a sub plot that intrigued me, and didn’t go the way I expected. I felt happy for Connor and Nicole, but I’d hoped for a more intense and closure for the ending of the book.

Overall, the suspense was well done. The characters got me interested and had be turning the pages to find out what was next.

On a job? Some emergency?

As if to make her humiliation complete, an ugly demon from her past returns to remind her once and for all that no matter how far she runs, she will always end up alone…

Oh my! It was very hard to write a review for Night After Night. The major reason is because the story had several elements that did not sit well with me. But in the end I up liking the way the story was told.

So, let me start by saying that author built the plot really well and I enjoyed how story was developing. I had such mixed feelings about all the characters but the heroine in particular. On one hand her naivety, politeness and niceness drove me crazy. But on the other I really enjoyed her strong side. It was great to see that a character who is naïve and nice but not spineless. Finally I enjoyed how she was fighting for what she thought was right. The hero was completely different story. He was supposed to be tall, dark, handsome and mysterious, but for me he was brute (but not towards the heroine) and a cold blooded killer. It works for the story, it simply didn’t work for me personally. The characterization of the secondary characters is done perfectly they were presented as a typical small town people: meddling and nosy.

Night After Night is a romance, but the story, at least in the beginning, is more focused on the heroine and her new life in the small town rather than on her relationship with the hero. Therefore it seemed as if that aspect of the story dragged a little bit. More important for me was that it was difficult to pinpoint the exact moment when the hero and heroine fell in love, but also why and how.

Despite the few downfalls I actually did enjoy this story as a whole and I wanted to find out what kind of happily ever after the heroine and hero would find. It was a satisfying one.

I recommend Night After Night to readers who like western historical, sweet romances, virginal heroine, small town settings and meddling matchmaking secondary characters.

Love can be a lifeline.

Play Doctor, Book 2

As thrilled as Luke Malone is for his best friends, Kurt and Becca, enough is enough. The couple welcomed him into their lives, and their bed. But lately, he’s feeling less like a participant in their happiness…and more like an intruder.

Yet when a beautiful woman comes to his sexual psychology practice, Luke is forced to turn her away. It’s not that he doesn’t want to help her, it’s that he wants her. Too much to stay impartial.

Brielle Norris would rather have a root canal than see a shrink. But she’s had enough of letting the scars from an abusive relationship rule her life. Knees knocking, she steps into the psychologist’s office—and runs right into a tall, handsome man whose gilded perfection makes her own quirky faults even more painfully obvious.

She never expected he’d hand her off to one of his colleagues—then take a personal support role in the unconventional treatment she needs to heal.

In tandem with Kurt and Becca, Luke strives to teach Brielle that not all relationships end in disaster. At least this one won’t—if he can keep her safe when her past rears its ugly head.

The last thing Brielle Norris wants to do is see another counselor. But she is smart enough to know she will never get past the nightmares of the abusive relationship she was able to escape without help. She wants to live a normal life, and that includes a healthy sexual relationship with someone, in the future. But when she goes to Dr. Luke Malone’s sexual psychology clinic, he feels honor bound to refer her to another practitioner because, as much as Luke wants to help Brielle, he can’t be objective with her treatment; he wants her for himself, and that would be unethical. He does refer her to the best in the field, after him, that is; his friends, Drs. Becca and Kurt Foster.

When he proposes that she sees Becca, and let him go with her, Brielle agrees to the arrangement. As she opens up, it becomes clear that Brielle could greatly benefit from Kurt’s invention, the Dream Machine, to help her overcome her fears and insecurities. As the attraction grows, Brielle discovers that some of the desires she has are perfectly normal, if a bit on the, well, kinky side, and that Luke shares in the things that interest her. As the unconventional therapy continues, can Brielle let go of her fears, and move on to a happy future, preferably with Luke? Will Luke find what he’s been searching for with Brielle? When her past comes back to haunt her, will Brielle crumple, or stand tall and conquer those fears once and for all?

Healing Touch is the second in Jayne Rylon’s Play Doctor series, and it was worth the wait. The world Ms. Rylon has built is highly sensual, and not for the faint of heart. The characters in this are strong and well crafted, with only one new character being introduced here. This is a book filled with passion, and tension of many kinds. I enjoyed seeing the characters interact, both in and out of the bedroom/laboratory. Nothing is left to the imagination in this one, and the characters’ strength is the one thing I found to be constant throughout the story.

Brielle Norris begins this story as a confused but determined woman. She wants so badly to live a ‘normal’ life, but her many fears tend to overwhelm her at times. She is smart and has a fantastic sense of humor that sees her through her darker periods, and has learned to compensate accordingly to avoid her hot buttons. I liked watching as she opened up to Luke, revealing her fears and dreams/nightmares to him. I love her courage and her willingness to follow through with every direction that Becca proposes. As she gets closer to Luke, I love that she is seeing that all men are not like her father, or her ex Brad.

Luke Malone is strong, intelligent and gorgeous, but he has been alone for too long. After his friends, Kurt and Becca, finally found their happily ever after, he wants what they have, and is less interested in the sharing they are used to. I enjoyed watching as her came back to the vibrant man he should be under Brielle’s attentions. I loved his loyalty, and above all, his determination to help Brielle overcome all her fears and nightmares, even the ones she has kept buried so deep, she didn’t realize they were there. His gentleness with her shows that a man can be strong but sensitive and caring too.

This is an intense and passionate book, with nothing left undone. If you want subtlety and innuendo, this is not the book for you. Brielle and Luke have a chemistry that leads to many extremes, and their bedroom scenes burn the pages, they are so detailed and hot.

This one is for those brave and adventurous readers who like their romance super hot, with no-holds-barred participation by all the characters at some points, and with a happy ever after at the end.

Something sexy is afoot at Rackham’s School for Young Ladies.

Half faerie, half elf Hans Winter broke the heart of the wrong princess. Cursed to live as a statue at a school for human girls, only true love—and true bravery—can free him.

December Worth never met a rule she didn’t want to break, as the numerous institutions that expelled her can attest. Bravery she can handle. Love she’s less sure about, especially if it involves believing in fairytales.

A kiss seems like the last thing these lonely souls would share, until one night in the cemetery where Hans stands trapped, Fate brings stone and flesh together . . .

There’s something about a man cursed for unjust reasons that makes a romance reader stand up and notice. Add in a mystery, a plea in the night and delicious naughty dreams that may or may not be real and it sweetens the pot. How could I resist? Plus, the fact that the illustrious Ms. Holly has a way with sexual encounters pretty much insured that this would be an entertaining read. I was right.

The first thing the author did was introduce me to the heroine, December. Her parents have pretty much given up on her and in fact are a nonevent in her life save the money they spend in lieu of their attentions.

However, erectile dysfunction can throw a dangerous curve ball; it affects not only your relationship but your overall wellbeing and quality viagra for free of life as well. They came across as rather cold fish who substitute public opinion for genuine emotions or affections. It’s a sad, lonely picture that is drawn and it helped make the case that December is a woman who doesn’t trust easy and has no belief in the word ‘love’. Someone so young with a whole future in front of her should have hope, but what will inspire it?

A mystery discovered on a daring walk in the night attracts more attention to December than she ever dreamed. Her mind, her intellect and her drive to action are all engaged as the heroine realized that something wasn’t right, wasn’t normal and it demanded of her more than she thought possible of giving. It’s her character growth that I found appealing.

Hans is not an ordinary man, in any form. The author was effective in portraying the hero’s desperation, his yearning and his despair. Even better was his lusty thoughts and creative ways of interacting with December. A reader is treated to some very steamy scenes – well written and detailed.

This novella is definitely erotic due to the nature of some of December’s antics with Hans. I’ve read a couple of erotic stories about women and statues before and they came across as thinly veiled plots for the sole purpose of exploring kinky sex with statuary – sort of silly and uninspiring. Ms. Holly has taken a ho-hum idea and turned it into a polished gem that inspires the libido instead of putting it to sleep. She introduced a battery of feelings that ranged from disbelief, sadness, anger, desire, hopelessness, worry, elation and the all-important one, love. Hans isn’t a statue at all, but a man trapped. His connection to December is what sets this apart from what I’ve read before. There is a reason she does what she does. Of course she enjoys it – that’s what makes it so hot. But the purpose is deeper and more profound than merely sex and because the author can make an effective emotional connection between her characters and readers, it makes this book worth taking the time to read.

As for the overall conflict, man turned to stone notwithstanding, there are a few nasty surprises in store for both protagonists. Ms. Holly effectively diverted my attention with a red herring. I never dreamed that the bad were good, in an oddball sort of way, and the good were really insane. There are also some elements in the book with very strong resemblances to other fairy tales. I liked them then and I enjoyed how the author incorporated facets of them here. In fact, December is a smart fairy tale heroine, unlike the wishy-washy lambkins of old. This heroine is sassy, questions until she is satisfied with the answers and at times knows when to listen instead of smart-mouth. It comes in handy.

There is a good chunk of action and drama that made this story stand out from all that panting and detailed naughty hijinks. It’s the testing of their mettle in crisis that had me appreciating the main characters and because the writing was vivid, clear and tight, the whole scene progression was a real page-flipper.

I’m not a fan of dream sequences but in this tale, the author took the time to make a reader believe in their logic. It worked.

Winter’s Tale generates enough heat to make a reader melt. It’s a terrific fantasy made all the better by interesting characters that I enjoyed reading about. I got an extra thrill from a cameo appearance by a couple of people from a previous book I’d read, Move Me, written in the same world as this one. In fact, after seeing them again, I have an itch to read their story all over again. This is such a fun world that Ms. Holly has created; I can never seem to get enough. Try Winter’s Tale for a taste and see for yourself.

Absolution is the sixth and final book in Jambrea Jo Jones’ Seeds of Dawn series, and a very satisfactory final chapter it is. Like the rest of the series, the world her is a wondrous mix of reality and fantasy, the perfect blend of traditions and imagination in a world filled with impossible beings. The characters are as well crafted here as they were in the beginning, and the strength of each and every individual is there for all to see.

Kitty Kelley is strong and determined to protect her teen sisters. She is afraid that their old Alpha will come after them, and she has just learned that she has a mate in the Masters’ pack. I love her sassy mouth and her courage, ready to make a new start far from all she is familiar with. I love that, when Everett said he was her mate, she didn’t play coy or deny him, but was ready to take the next step. I liked that she worried about others more than herself, and that, when danger came to call, she faced it and didn’t hide.

Everett has wanted his mate ever since everyone around him started meeting theirs. He is smart, strong and loyal to friends and family, taking care of those around him. When he discovers that Kitty is his mate, he offers her time, and his protection even if she doesn’t accept him. I loved watching as he realizes that she wants him too. I love Everett for his strength, his patience and his sensitivity to Kitty and her worries for her sisters.

There are several completely unexpected and ironic twists to this final installment. One has to do with the new head of the Tyler pack, and the other with Kitty’s Uncle Kurt. Both of these twists made me laugh at the total irony of what was happening. The many different threads of the series are brought together for one final look at the adventures and difficulties that have brought the pack to this place and time. All of the characters from the previous books make an appearance here, and the progress for everyone is well done. The final dialog from the Ancients is the perfect finish to this one, and I highly recommend the whole Seeds of Dawn series for anyone who like their romance with some humor, some danger, and lots of heat.
