There is a lot to like about this book. It’s a quirky take on the princess and the pea. It’s also written well. I needed to see how the book would end. I mean, two princes and a dildo? Yeah, I needed to know.

I liked how instead of the pea, the dildo came into play. What I was confused by was the need for some of the incidents. The man is tied down when he’s having fits, but I wasn’t sure really why he was having the fits – other than that’s how it was in the original fairy tale. Another thing that was hit home quite well was how hairy the man was. Yes, I definitely had a mental picture of him.

I did have to read this short story three times before I got everything in it. For fifteen pages, there is a lot going on and some can be missed if the story is read too fast.

I do have to mention the sponge bath is really hot and a good addition to the tale. Whew!

The chemistry between horse wranglers Bailey French and Hondo Labar was hot enough to singe the air even before their unexpected meeting at Rawhide, a private bondage club. Their extreme edge play at the club feeds their sexual needs, but Hondo wants a relationship outside the club and Bailey refuses to acknowledge him as more than a fellow wrangler. When a riding accident puts her in his care, can she finally trust her heart as well as her body to a man who would Master her forever?

As with every Desiree Holt book I have read thus far, “Hard to Handle” is also a well written and intriguing love story with the edge-play being extremely erotic.  With her descriptive written expression, I felt Ms. Holt’s words helped me feel as though I was there in the room viewing the love scenes firsthand. It was definitely ‘Hard’ for me to get a ‘Handle’ on my libido with these scorching romantic scenarios.

Bailey French is working in an almost all male environment as a horse wrangler thus making her more determined to be as strong and work as hard as any cowboy. She likes her personal life a bit on the edge to help her unravel the stress of her working life. She is attracted to one of the other ranch-hands, Hondo Labar but knows in her heart that she would never succumb to his advances because she has a strict rule, “NO dating fellow workers!”

Hondo Labar is extremely interested in getting together with Bailey, but she refuses all of his advances at work. What a lucky day for him when he has an accidental encounter with Bailey at a private bondage club and he convinces Bailey to give him a try. The two discover they have the same sexual desires and the chemistry is explosive, but what will it take for Bailey to risk her heart when Hondo would like to play for keeps?

Ms. Holt had her characters come to life with the emotional twist and turns we have come to expect with her stories. Even if a reader is not into extreme BDSM, I still believe Ms. Holt can make her readers relate to the various personality traits portrayed in her different personae. While I will say this might be a bit extreme for those who are not looking for an exciting sexual ride, Ms. Holt definitely does not disappoint as she always leads her characters to a discovery of true love and that is what good romance novels are all about!

As I have stated in the past, Ms. Holt’s books are an automatic buy for me because I know I am getting a wonderful story that ultimately touches my heart. I highly recommend her books to anyone looking for a “bite’ in the BDSM dynamics of storytelling.

STRINGS OF GLASS (A Sydney Rye Novel, #4) is the fourth novel in Emily Kimelman’s Sydney Rye Series of mystery novels. This series features a strong female protagonist and her rescue dog, Blue. It is recommended for the 18+ who enjoy some violence, don’t mind dirty language, and are up for a dash of sex. Not to mention an awesome, rollicking good mystery!

Sydney Rye is hanging out in India with her boyfriend, Dan, reading paperbacks and sipping beer. No violence and no reminders of her past. But when she and Blue, are attacked by a pack of wild dogs, Sydney starts to feel that old itch again; to do good by being bad.

The atrocities Anita describes send Sydney, Blue and Dan on a quest that takes them across India after a dangerous and, up until now, untouchable, figure. While Sydney struggles to accept her true nature she realizes that it is the only way to end decades of abuse and exploitation. But Rye fears that she will lose herself, becoming no better than the monster she fights against.

New to Sydney Rye? The first book in the series, UNLEASHED (A Sydney Rye Novel, #1) is FREE.

Since the first book is free, I definitely recommend you pick at least that one up, but you’re doing yourself a disservice if you don’t read them all. All of the books can be read as stand-alone, but the character development of Sydney Rye through the series is one of the best parts of the books.

Sydney has come a long way since she was Joy Humbolt–she and Dan have settled into a calm, relaxing routine. But, Sydney’s nature doesn’t let her be calm and relaxed for too long.

Dan is long-suffering–which is very very sweet; however, Sydney is drawn into more adventure when she rescues Anita, a reporter who is in danger of being raped and murdered because she’s investigating the atrocities of one man–a sexual predator with the power and money to protect himself. Just the kind of person Sydney loves to take down.

The action is pretty well non-stop and the reappearance of Mulberry into Sydney’s life creates not only tension between her and Dan, but an interesting twist for the next book in the series.

Tanya Cousins has written an exciting story filled with wonder and terror. She has created an alien world that is fully realized and her descriptions of the terrain are rich and vivid. I really like both Sasha and Lilly, and I was quickly caught up in their discoveries. The differences between the human world and Terrafauna bring many challenges to the twins, and they were lucky that they met Wikan when they entered Terrafauna, a world where the slugs are large enough to eat the humanoids, and where they have to stay under fern fronds to avoid the birds.

The story is very engaging and the demon is truly scary and evil. The twins must kill the demon in order to save both worlds, and the task is by no means easy. Wikan and the twins soon discover that there are family secrets and the twins’ father knows a lot more than he is letting on. I would have liked more depth to the character of the father, since he turns out to have such a pivotal role, and I also would have liked at least a brief mention of what happened to the twins’ mother. They call their father’s wife Maria, so I figured she was a step-mom, but that is not really clarified until the reader is well into the book. In fact, for much of the book, the parents seem to be nothing more than a nuisance, which is totally in keeping with the adolescent mind set, but the nature of the father’s secrets are such that I would have expected more information.

The plot is very fast-moving and exciting and the dangers are real and terrifying. The conclusion is most satisfactory indeed, all the way up to the last sentence in the book. And that sentence is a real cliff-hanger that has me hoping that another novel is on its way! Fantasy readers are sure to enjoy this wonderful adventure.

After overcoming a difficult childhood, Taryn Ross has a fairy tale life – her father is a Senator contemplating a run for President, her mother loves to take her shopping for ridiculously expensive clothes, and she is finishing up her junior year at NYU.

What she doesn’t have is love – the heart pounding, mind blowing, passion filled love that she reads about in her collection of steamy romance novels. But that might change when she accepts a cup of coffee from a sexy mysterious stranger.

Wyatt Hunter has experienced a loss that has him living each day just going through the motions. His world is in dull shades of gray – until the day he meets Taryn. She brings vibrant brilliant color back into his life, and he can’t stand the thought of going on without her.

But Wyatt is holding a secret that could send Taryn running when she finds out.

Every day when Taryn comes to the Starbucks for her afternoon coffee, he is there… “Hot Coffee Man”. He looks like an executive always in a suit, always reading his newspaper, always at the same table. Although she tries to avoid being conspicuous by openly looking at him, she cannot stop herself from catching glimpses of him when he is not looking. Of course this works until she is caught and their eyes meet.

I loved the sexual tension between Taryn and Wyatt (Mr. Hot Coffee Man). He is adorable and courteous. Being in charge of her safety without her knowing it is not easy for him. He has come to look forward to seeing her every day and talking to her. The friendship and bond that develops between them is strong. If circumstances were different, Wyatt would have moved faster into a full-fledge relationship with her.

This is book #1 of this series. It is a good beginning to an enjoyable story. I regret that the author seemed to lose her way toward the end of this book and resorts to filling in with retelling the story from Wyatt’s viewpoint. The plot line is a solid one. The characters are well delineated and lovable. There are more issues to resolve that will definitely launch a second book and will make an interesting read. I just did not appreciate having to re-read everything I already knew with really nothing else to gain from it.

I like the character of Taryn very much. She is independent and thoughtful. She is a caring individual, who no matter what the circumstances, relies on her empathy and intelligence to resolve problems.

I will read book #2 because I definitely want to find out more about Lindsay, Josh, and above all, what happens to Linc.

Venice – Two people, a shed load of baggage and a way forward that takes extreme to new limits.

In an explosion of clarity, the mist cleared and I understood what my lascivious teacher, Zara, really was beneath the surface. I couldn’t see her beautiful core. Like a dank fog warning off poor unfortunates who wandered her way, she wouldn’t let the darkness lift, refused to light the way. But she gave me a key. It was small, stiff, and I was afraid of what I’d find if I turned it. But I did. I couldn’t resist. She did that to me.

Factors that are responsible to this dysfunction and that was when tadalafil 40mg check stock jelly was found. So, consume these capsules at least viagra usa price 3 months to get effective results. Sexual arousal causes the release of chemicals cialis price in india that are known to affect the body and its functions. In a tumble of truths, I understood her bleak voids and why she filled them with sharp slicing reds and hostile bruising purples. What had happened, what they’d done had bled her of colour and created a woman who needed so much more and always would—for all of time. But I could give her back that vibrancy, I was sure I could; my colours complimented hers and I had plenty of them. My needs could switch to take her to those grey places she needed to visit again in order to obliterate the memories that caused her pain. In the space they’d occupied, I’d create a pile of shimmering, perfectly cut-diamond memories, a rainbow cloud of sugar mist to replace that dankness. I could do it; I would help her become more beautiful than anything I’d seen before.

And within that new, delicate ‘thing’ was us. Victor and Zara. Unconventional, extreme, romantic, we spanned every shimmering stroke of the rainbow and all the coal-black shadows on the way down to Hell. But together we could fight demons. I would be her knight in shining armour even if it pushed me to the very limits of what I ever believed I could do to a woman. And what thrilled me, was if I bared my soul, found the courage to be a monster as well as an angel, I had a very real chance of making her mine—or did I? Because the only thing predictable about Zara, was that she was completely unpredictable.

Victor Partridge and Zara Watson are together once again and doing a test run of their new, ever-changing relationship with a weekend in Venice. Victor thought they could try to explore the more loving side of their relationship, to see if there could be a balance, but he didn’t expect for Zara to start opening herself so fully to him. Zara has never been anything other than a handful, a changeable, marvelous force of nature, and now is no different. The roller coaster continues, a beautiful hue of colors that defy description. Both Victor and Zara are determined to see if they can come together and make something perfect out of what has held such promise and potential.

Once again I’m blown away, not just be the plot and writing but with how amazing all the facets of this book come together. Victor and Zara are just as complex and multi-layered as ever, but finally we’re under all those exterior layers people naturally have and I’m seeing their true hearts and souls. Zara begins to open herself to Victor, to really tell him about herself. I found this helped me see how she ticks and what I read was amazing and devastating at the same time. This is no ordinary romance novel and I’d not have it any other way. This book makes you gasp for breath, ignore real life going on around you and devour every page to see what happens next. Zara has been incredibly hurt in her past, and with Victor’s gentle support together they face some of her demons. This makes for some heart-rendering scenes – both tender and provocative, and some of these experiences will not be for everyone.

This is not a traditional book or even like others I’ve read which push some boundaries. One scene in particular includes play-acting, collaring and pretending to be an animal and might shock some readers. Throughout the entire trilogy however, I’ve found every envelope-pushing scene to be written with excruciating care and taste. Never once have I felt revolted or as if the characters were being derogatory or abused – but others might not feel the same and there are a number of taboos breeched throughout this book: particularly fisting and body fluid scenes. Personally, I found the whole book (taboos and all) wonderfully written and even when I wanted to look away, or take a break, I simultaneously needed to read further, the strength of that being more than my desire to step back. And *that* is skillful writing to my mind. As a reader our questions about Zara are answered, the authors have laid her bare and so much of her is left still wonderfully complex, but now understandable as well. Victor is a sweetheart, and while I’ve adored his character from the start, his strength, his inner emotional power and his deep love for Zara just makes him even more amazing in my eyes. This book is not the ending (or solidifying) of Zara and Victor, but the first steps of what I know will be a life-long wild ride for them both together. While I’d always want more, I can’t imagine other readers not being satisfied with the way Harlem Dae have wrapped this series up.

Much like Book 2 – The Player – I believe if you picked this up not knowing it was the final in a trilogy you could still thoroughly enjoy Zara and Victor’s story and follow along as they solidify their relationship. However the story is far richer from being there from their beginning and I feel to truly enjoy it as it’s meant, reading this trilogy in order is needed. The complexities of their characters, the million strong threads binding them and creating who and what they are can only (in my opinion) be fully understood and appreciated having read these books in order. This story, The Vixen, is complete in itself though and stands perfectly well alone, but I would strongly recommend starting at the start and working through these in order.

A brilliant end to an amazing trilogy, I’d recommend this series for anyone wanting a deeply complex, incredibly intense read that pushes the envelope further and with more taste than many others. I’d suggest readers – particularly those wanting to expand their literary horizons – try this, but read the various warnings carefully, as there are many scenes that are not commonly touched upon.

In the end though, these authors write everything with style, care and such talent I’m pleased to have these additions on my shelves and know I’ll read them again in the future. Not a comfortable book (or series), this nevertheless balances perfectly between too much and not quite enough. I can’t imagine anyone reading it and not wanting more, so amazing is the mix of characters, plot, kink and emotion. A marvelous read that took me to dizzying highs and terrifying lows and a series I can strongly recommend to everyone willing to step on board for the ride of a lifetime.

He commands her body…but can he win her heart?

Who knew one little disc could cause so much trouble? Certainly not Rena, until the disc in question—the one in which she lives out every sexual fantasy she’s ever had, including a few inspired by her crush, Captain Drogan Carter—falls into the wrong hands. Drogan’s. Rena is desperate to get it back—she can’t let him know all her darkest, dirtiest secrets…

When Drogan finds the disc and watches the very private contents, his first feeling is guilt. But that guilt soon turns to a raw, sexual need to have the wanton, carefree Rena in his bed. He knows she’ll never come to him willingly, but once he gets her, he’ll have plenty of time to win her over, and to prove to her that reality can be so much better than fantasy. But first he needs a plan, a way to get her right where he wants her: at his command.

This story delves into what lengths people will go to just to scratch an itch that just won’t go away. Neither knows what the other feels or thinks so they go round and round with fantasies and what-ifs but they never actually talk to each other about how they feel. The explosion was quite fun to watch unfold.

There is a very solid reason why they can’t reveal the truth. Both Drogan and Rena are sticklers for the rules and regulations of their jobs. That causes no end of issues. They both respect each other, and are very very careful not to do or say anything that might be misconstrued. Because they are so good at what they do, neither of them knows that the other feels the same way. The author used their circumstances to effectively drive up the sexual tension to amazing levels. The way Ms. Illyria uses her imagination is so hot, she should have a neon warning sign somewhere over her head in a thought bubble with a caution statement about spontaneous combustion.

This author knows her way around writing a sex scene and in At Drogan’s Command, a reader has plenty of opportunities to enjoy the wishes and fantasies of both Drogan and Rena. Although it’s mentioned and hinted about more than two people having fun, the actual action remains just with the two of them. That was fine for me.

As well written and numerous as the physical scenes are, and most erotic romance readers will gobble up this book, I prefer more actual hero to heroine sex versus wishful thinking. Well, in Rena’s case, and this being a science fiction erotic fantasy, she has more than imagination to work with, which was quite interesting. I just felt those particular types of scenes rob the characters of emotional growth when there’s more alone time satisfaction versus a man and a woman actually doing the touching and exploring of each other. I sort of wished more time was actually spent with them together in reality. As it was, when they did finally reveal all and come together, the author wasted no time in making sure a reader was satisfied with their ultimate joining. The quality of writing is never in question.

There weren’t too many secondary characters of note except Jason. He was a plot instigator. The dialogue got the job done and it was through the characters internal dialogue that I was provided with most of the insight I gleaned about the main characters’ feelings for themselves and their circumstances.

On the whole, At Drogan’s Command is a sexy yarn that delivers a sensual tale with a satisfying happy ever after. If a reader is looking for a story that sizzles and pops, this book has the scenes to provide it. It’s light on drama but big on fun.

When Simon, a worker at the NY Repository, threatens the others with Tesla’s death ray, Leo must attempt a journey to 1895 to stop this contraption from ever getting into Simon’s hands.

When I opted to review this book, I was under the impression it was the sequel to “The Grimm Legacy”. It’s not … exactly. More of a book that has some of the same settings. I admit to being disappointed I didn’t get to see more of the characters I’d come to love in the first book, but once I got past that, I enjoyed The Wells Bequest for what it was instead of being frustrated for what it wasn’t.

Packed full of history, mystery, and of course the romance between characters, The Wells Bequest has a great plot for readers who love science fiction, the great inventions created, and who enjoy learning something new about the world’s greatest inventors.  I especially enjoyed when Leo and the mystery girl, Jaya, must go back to fix what Simon has done to the fabric of time, without ripping their own future to shreds.

Truthfully, the story was a little slow in the beginning, and I found it easy to set the book aside, but after the first five chapters, Polly Shulman had me hooked. It was a real page turner at the end, and it was hard to predict what else might pop out around the corner.
