Chloe Morgan fled to King’s Bluff, Wyoming, to start a new life. With a past that haunts her, the shy schoolteacher must make a choice. She can hide away and protect her secrets or embrace the acceptance of the small community.

Noah King and Flynn Taylor have traveled the world as members of Australia’s elite SAS. They’ve earned scars, both inside and out. Now powerful influencers in King’s Bluff, a town founded by Noah’s ancestors, the men have made a haven from the ranch Noah inherited.

One look at Chloe convinces Noah and Flynn she’s worth pursuing. Introducing her to BDSM and the ménage lifestyle accepted by the town will be a hard sell. She’s scared, skittish, and refusing their advances.

As the two Doms fight to gain her trust, Chloe’s past crashes in on them, threatening their futures. When a man obsessed with her tracks down his prey, nobody could have imagined how high the stakes would go.

Chloe thinks she’s staying under the radar of anyone’s notice in the small community of King’s Bluff. She’ll soon realize that she’s not only caught the eye of two of the towns hottest bachelors but she’s been found by the one man she hoped never to hear from. It’ll take two determined Doms along with their Special Forces brethren to ensure that evil can’t touch the one person who’s become the center of their universe.

One of the things that I loved about Chloe’s story is that she has real life reactions to whatever is thrown at her no matter if it’s the guys or some outside influence. When her step-brother makes his presence known in an unmistakable and personal way she’s scared, then mad and then determined. When Flynn and Noah go all uber alpha on her and start making decisions “for her best interest” she doesn’t simply meekly go along. I liked that she didn’t play the doormat.
Bayer AG & ASK came up with this dose in the greed of seeing the best possible results then probably you re going on the wrong track as you might end up with no possible effects of it. 100mg viagra effects It cheapest generic tadalafil stimulates core energy of the body such as joints, tissues, muscles and organs. The more blood cialis price online you get, the more strength your organ will achieve. So, I grew up like most boys in the UK, learning through trial levitra uk and error so you know which to avoid.
Something else in Chloe’s character that made her easy root for was that she doesn’t protest too much. She doesn’t get all indignant and angry every time one of the men open their mouths. That is so exhausting as a reader. As I mentioned she doesn’t roll over and beg but she listens to her heart and bless her heart her mouth tends to work before her brain. It made for some funny scenes as well as honest dialogue.

What’s not to love about two Aussie heroes? Oh my.. ::: swoon:::! I’m not sure what it is about the accent but even just reading it makes me a little breathless. Ms. Archer draws on her homeland to make these guys as sexy and charming in both speech and action. A sample of their smooth talking: ““I’ll enjoy every minute convincing you to trust us. You, on my lap, over my knee, under my body, tied up, tied down, or free to scratch, kiss, and bite—whatever it takes.” That’s some fantastic writing and it’s no wonder Chloe doesn’t stand a chance. The underlying theme in this novel is “trust” and it’s in no way one sided. Such a beautiful, emotional read.

Be forwarned: this is not BDSM for beginners. These guys take the position of Dom very seriously. Chloe’s boundaries are pushed but it’s completely consensual even when she fights them. The level of domination Flynn and Noah required of Chloe is pretty intense and made me nervous for her sake but in my opinion that’s simply the mark of good story telling. When I’m in the characters head and feeling what they feel.

Flynn and Noah have lived a lot of life in their short number of years as former SAS. Their experiences obviously color their perception of dealing with bad guys and what they hold as most important in their world. When Chloe becomes that “most important” these guys pull out all stops. I could totally buy into her feelings of being overwhelmed and needing space. These guys are intense and Ms. Archer builds on that intensity as Trent steps up his game. I stayed glued to the pages to see how they handle him! Prepare to have your heart twisted up by Flynn’s back story as well. I just kept thinking “Bless his heart”… such a heavy load for one man to carry on his shoulders for so long.

Speaking of the slice of crazy that’s stalking Chloe, wow, Trent is truly certifiable! Ms. Archer gives the reader some inner monologue for Trent and there is no doubt this guy is twisted! Having a stalker would be bad enough, having that same person be a part of your family? Yikes! Just when I knew I had it all figured out Ms. Archer tossed me a curve ball. I didn’t see it coming but it plays out so well. Chloe impressed me again with her tenacity and spunk. She’s small but she’s a whole case load of dynamite! With great friends and an amazing town full of people/neighbors who stick up for one another, how can the good guys lose? These are the kinds of stories that have me looking forward to returning to visit time and again.

I’m not sure who Mrs. Archer has in mind for the next book but I’m pretty sure I met some future heroes and at least a couple of heroines. I’ve added her to my auto-buy list and will be watching anxiously for the next installment. If sexy accents, dominant men and capture fantasies work for you, plan to spend your next book-vacation in King’s Bluff. You won’t be disappointed!

His commands ignite flames in her that rival any forest fire…

Durham Wolves, Book 2

When Jaxon Durham isn’t raising thoroughbreds with his brothers, he’s using his heightened senses to search for missing hikers in the Smokies. This time the call is for a firefighter gone missing on the front lines.

In his wolf form, he’s the first to track the firefighter to a cave, but he’s stopped cold by a stunning realization—it’s his mate. To his relief, the body covered in fireproof gear is female.

Brianna White can’t decide if she’s died and gone to heaven, or unconscious and having a delicious dream, when the wolf standing before her shifts into a naked man. Either way, she can’t resist the urge to go along for the ride. She never expected to fall so instantly, and so hard, for the sexy hunk.

But an old enemy is lurking beyond the walls of their refuge. The clock is ticking while Jaxon races to evade the deadly threat, even deadlier flames, and overcome the stubborn will of a woman who’s not sure she’s ready to give up life as she knew it.

Males, who are unable viagra generic discount to gain harder and fuller erection for enjoying intense sexual pleasure with her. Fire in the Smokies is the second book in the Durham Wolves series from author Becca Jameson. This was a good read, entertaining and fun, and a decent addition to this exciting shifter series.

For newcomers to the series, it is set in the Great Smoky Mountains, where the three hunky Durham brothers, who happen to be wolf shifters, breed thoroughbred horses and help out the local sheriff with an occasional rescue mission. The brothers are well known for their tracking abilities …. those wolf traits do come in handy from time to time. The oldest brother has already found his mate in the first book. As the story opens, Jaxon, the middle brother, will find his mate in Brianna, a female fire fighter.

Jaxon and Brianna were both very likeable and compelling characters. Jaxon was exactly the kind of alpha hero that I love to read about, deliciously sexy, dominant and possessive. I adored him in this story, the way he liked to hold his woman close was just so sweet.

I liked Brianna as the heroine. She was strong and capable, sassy and independent. Best of all, she never pulled any reckless or stupid stunts here. I hate it when the heroine acts silly, messes up or puts everyone in danger. Brianna was portrayed quite well, as someone who fought hard to earn respect in a male dominated field. Jameson did an excellent job with the back story, explaining what drove Brianna to succeed and the reasons why she could never play the damsel in distress ploy. That was great, only made me like her character even more.

The author was more than generous with the love scenes in this book. It is an erotic romance so the sex scenes are explicitly detailed, with some masturbation scenes, some light bondage, anal play and they do bring out the toys in one red hot scene. Not to mention that my man Jax is a dominant who likes to be in charge in the bedroom. Wow….the guy liked to talk dirty too.

This book isn’t just about the steamy sex though. It has a strong plot that kept me entertained from cover to cover. It had a lot of drama and personal conflict as Jaxon and Brianna butted heads about her job and her independence. Compromise inevitably led to danger as the plot took a few twists. There was some suspense as an old enemy is back, bringing danger and causing mayhem for Jax. The suspense was at times riveting, as Jax and Brianna found themselves in more than one tight spot.

Fire in the Smokies is a great paranormal read. It has a well written plot with engaging characters, it definitely had what it took to pull me into their love story. The story easily flowed, keeping the reader entertained with lots of action, drama, suspense and plenty of sexy love scenes. I suggest that intrepid readers who like their romance more on the spicy side are bound to enjoy this one. I enjoyed reading this book, and I’m happy to recommend it to other paranormal readers.

Set in the future in a society obsessed with perfection, 15 year old Morgan can’t help being a bit envious of her best friend, Summer. Summer is beautiful, rich and seems to have an effortlessly perfect life. Whereas Morgan isn’t so rich, or beautiful and her younger brother Josh has Down’s syndrome, which according to the government, and society in general, is a crime. Then Josh is kidnapped and the authorities aren’t interested, so Morgan and Summer decide to investigate. They, along with another teenager Jamie whose sister, Holly, has also been kidnapped, uncover a sinister plot involving the kidnapping of disabled children and find themselves in terrible danger. Can they find Josh and Holly before it’s too late?

Fifteen-year-old Morgan envies her best friend, Summer, because Summer is beautiful and rich with great parents, while Morgan isn’t beautiful and her family depends on both her mother’s and her father’s jobs just to keep going. In addition, Morgan has a little brother, Josh, whom she loves, but who has Down’s Syndrome, something that is considered criminal in this futuristic society obsessed with physical perfection. But when Josh is kidnapped, Morgan, Summer, and their new friend Jamie work together to try to rescue Josh as well as Jamie’s sister, Holly.

Karen King has created a richly detailed society which is all too believable and definitely truly horrible. The government ministry keeps tabs on everyone, even supplying physical perfection surgery to the entire population at age sixteen. There is an E-center in everyone’s home which monitors their weight, sending reports to the doctor at the local medical center if anyone’s weight falls above or below the ideal. The Ministry is always making laws for the good of the people and they try repeatedly to get Morgan’s parents to have Josh committed to a Residential Learning Center.

Morgan is a typical fifteen-year-old girl, worried about makeup and boys, but she truly loves her three-year-old brother. She is grateful to Summer for protecting her from a lot of the teasing at school by those who think that all disabled people should be institutionalized or worse. Morgan is smart and determined. I like the way she doesn’t allow her brother’s kidnapping to be minimized and swept under the carpet. I also like Summer, who could easily have walked away from her friend when Morgan’s brother was born, but she sticks by Morgan in spite of all the social pressure to do otherwise. And then there is Jamie, whose sister Holly has cerebral palsy and who was kidnapped a couple months before Josh. Jamie is a very lonely boy with great skills in technology. His mother died before Holly’s kidnapping and his father is grieving so badly that he has no time for Jamie.

These three young people are engaging and determined. They fight the system and do their best to solve the mystery of the disappearance of disabled children. They fight against tough challenges and they refuse to give up. I found myself caught up in their search, fighting along side them every step of the way, as the mystery surrounding the kidnappings deepens.

Perfect Summer is a real coming-of-age story with a heroic quest. Fans of fantasy will assuredly enjoy following Morgan and her friends as they race to find the kidnapped children. This is an action-packed adventure from start to finish.

I really enjoyed this short story. The author does an awesome job of introducing the characters and slowly drawing us into the story line. Unlike many “modernized fairy tales” this doesn’t follow too closely to the traditional Little Red Riding Hood story – but there are enough parallels and similes that its being a re-telling doesn’t appear far-fetched either. I laughed at the way the author incorporated the traditional “What big eyes you have” lines – that was fantastic.

Alec is a mysterious though caring man and I enjoyed Rory’s playful and innocent attempts to get to know him better. I did find the explanation of the circumstances surrounding Alec’s nocturnal hours a bit thin. In this day and age it’s quite simple (and realistic) for people to work permanent night shifts in some jobs, or to live in one country and work on another country’s time zones. But nothing other than “he preferred to work at night” was offered and even Rory commented that as a freelancer Alec could pick and choose his own hours. So this did pull me a bit from the story and struck me as not properly fleshed out. Having said that, this was a small disappointment and a minor plot hole. The main story and set up of adventures was still very well written and I found the characters were truly addictive. While I would have liked to seen some consummation between the men, the steamy kisses, foreplay and clear, deep attachment between them showed me that when Rory and Alec do make it to the bedroom it will be a sight to behold. Readers wanting a more explicit read might be disappointed, but the romance, attachment and chemistry was so well written I felt only a minor pang of sadness to not see more.

With a predictable but still deeply interesting plot, vivid characters I cared about almost immediately and a fast pace, this is an excellent short story when you don’t have much time but still want to lose yourself in a wonderful tale. I totally was rooting for Rory and Alec, despite the obstacles in their path and found myself sad to finish the read. A modern, intriguing story and definitely a new author I plan to keep an eye on.

They’re happy, ridiculously so, but when Mal finds an old, neglected rooftop garden he instantly knows it’s the perfect place for Wes. Mal also hopes he can seduce Wes in all manner of ways there.

The Door into Spring is a very quick short story that peeks into the lives of an established couple. Wes and Mal are the couple from the book, My Summer of Wes. The story picks up months after the two have moved in together and are in college. It’s nice to revisit this pair, although it’s been three years since I read the first book so I couldn’t remember much about them. I did enjoy the story regardless. The two men are adorable on their own and together, although we didn’t see much of Wes as this was mostly Mal’s story. They have clear chemistry together and share an obvious connection.

As with most short stories, this one leaves you wanting more. The transformation of the neglected garden happens entirely in narration and you don’t get to actually see or get a feel for the change. I would have liked more space devoted to Mal’s work there personally. However, I know it’s a lot to get in – a rough plot, build up, and an actual sex scene in a mere ten pages. For the most part it works here as long as readers aren’t expecting deep characterization or vivid imagery. It’s merely a taste of the author and characters.

The writing is clean and engaging. Although it only takes a few minutes to read the story in its entirety, I was totally absorbed from the first sentence. Even as I struggled to remember the characters and how they fit together, I couldn’t help being sucked into the new story and Mal’s antics. The author has a real flair or light, breezy reading that makes me feel good and happy whenever I’m reading. I can easily recommend the story, as an introduction to the characters and the author.

When Samantha’s sister goes missing, all signs point to supernatural foul play. Her fellow Air witches won’t help, leaving her with one miserable choice—to beg for assistance from Dion Hebert, the odious weretiger Alpha she shot down months ago. In front of his pack. What’s a witch to do?

Dion can’t believe Samantha has the nerve to come begging after she humiliated him in front of half the supernatural Underground. He agrees to help in exchange for the one thing he’s always wanted—Samantha Avila. Naked. Wrapped around him in every delectable position he can imagine. But since the witch humiliated him publically, Dion wants the sex to be public too.

The thought of getting naked with Dion turns Samantha on, as much as she tries to deny it. The thought of getting naked with him in front of everyone leaves her part aroused and part horrified. When Dion makes good on his end of the bargain, Samantha’s deepest, darkest desires are unleashed. And the result is pure, sexy magic that can’t be tamed.

Air witch, Samantha Avira, readily agreed to the explicit terms set by Alpha weretiger and mob boss, Dion Hebert, in exchange for finding the spellweaver who had abducted her sister. Sam may have thought she was the one doing all the giving in this contract but it’s pretty clear by the end that Dion is one who has something to give.

This little novella was a lot of fun to read and mostly because it has depth. Yes, there’s the set up of Sam’s sister missing in the beginning but this story is more about Sam and Dion discovering that they are more alike than each other realizes. Sam isn’t simply the uptight air witch who humiliated Dion in front of the were community and Dion isn’t the “odious” bad guy who occupies her dreams. I’m always interested to see how a book title relates to a story. Without retelling the story, I can say when this alpha is exposed to his true nature Sam is more than pleasantly surprised.

Something I would have liked to have seen in this short story was the actual original confrontation that made Dion so aware of Sam. Ms. Breton sprinkles in a few details throughout the book but it would have been fun to witness the actual scene. Also, even though this is a paranormal story that involves weretigers there isn’t any shifting. These guys are certainly stronger and faster than “vanilla” humans and have a super sense of smell but they never shed their human skins for stripes. Some readers might take issue with that but, for me at least, it didn’t detract from the story. There’s a couple of small skirmishes but no big battles that would truly justify shifting.

One thing that captured and held my attention was the hero who was something of an anti-hero. Dion is pretty powerful in the were community. He’s the guy who’s in the know about everything that happens in the city and you don’t want to cross him. At least that’s the face most people see. It’s who Sam has convinced herself he is. And then he kisses her. Awwww…yeah, he lays one on her and she just melts. What’s better is he can’t keep his hands off of her. They both try to convince themselves they’re merely fulfilling a contract but I knew there was more to it. I loved it.

Sam really is a bit uptight since she’s had to be the responsible adult for her younger sister for quite a while. They’re both air witches but because they aren’t pure bloods they’ve had to deal with prejudice within their own coven. Dion is vital to bringing Sam out of her comfort zones, pushing her boundaries and getting her to admit to loving things that others consider taboo. It made this reader squirm a little to witness those moments but it was so well written and truly hot I couldn’t look away.

Having insight into what was happening between Sam and Dion that they couldn’t see or wouldn’t admit to as well enjoying scenes that made me want to hide my eyes is a testament to the writing. Ms. Breton crafted a beautiful short story that isn’t short on detail or chemistry. I would like to see Ms. Breton continue the series with Kari and Kevin’s story if it hasn’t already been written. This a paranormal that’s a little different and shouldn’t be missed.

Nothing makes a new school suck worse than discovering the guy you’re in love with is your prophesied nemesis.

Ari is the most powerful flame-throwing sorceress ever, and her people’s last hope in an ancient war. But she’s also a seventeen-year-old girl, and in her free, not-hunting-nemesis times, she jumps from school to school, trying to figure out regular people her own age and pretending she’ll get the chance to graduate.

Shane lives a double life. He goes to school and masters the art of popularity, hiding the fact that he has a fate with a slim chance of his survival. He’s destined to end a 300 year-old war by killing or being killed. He knows he’s hunted by a powerful enemy who’s not afraid to die. Only problem? He has no idea who that enemy is.

When Ari shows up at Shane’s school, angry and sullen and determined to keep him at arm’s reach, neither of them realize they are supposed to be killing each other, not falling in love. Until Ari does realize it, and she almost dies – by Shane’s hand.

Ari is a sorceress, the Prodigy of the Edren family. She has never had a normal life, having been enrolled in sixteen boarding schools in nine years. She’d been homeschooled until third grade, but after that, the Family started sending her out to hunt the Caruleses in a deadly war. The war has been raging for 300 years and the only way for it to end is for one family’s Prodigy to kill the other’s.

Wendy Knight has written a fast-paced action story with very believable and real characters. Ari has had to live a life without friends. No one can find out who she is, so she keeps everyone away from her. She has to drop everything every time her grandfather summons her to do battle again and she is very tired of the killing. When she starts her senior year at yet another boarding school, she discovers people who actually want to get to know her and be friends. I really enjoyed watching Ari dealing with normal high school life and beginning to have fun. “A field full of angry Carules all trying to kill her she understood. Friendly high school girls? Not so much.”

And then there is Shane, the most popular boy in the school. I found Shane to be very likeable as well. He is kind and he has the girls all swooning over him, but he doesn’t let that go to his head. He spends his time with his cousin, Charity, and his best friend, Hunter, trying to led a normal life even though he is actually the Carules’ Prodigy.

There are many wonderful characters in this book and there are also, of necessity, some really horrible ones. The leaders of both groups of sorcerers are determined to keep the war going for their own financial profits. Ari, Shane, Charity, and Hunter have to make some very tough decisions, helped by Ari’s older brother, Will, who is one of the renegade sorcerers, those who have refused to fight any more.

This story is a real page-turner with lots of action and intrigue. But even more than that, there is a depth to the story which makes it much more than just a story about a feuding war. It is a coming-of-age story which is handled realistically and compassionately. The only problem I have with this novel is that it is the first in a series (Fate on Fire), and while it does end in a reasonable spot, I can’t wait to read the next book. I hope it is published soon!

If you enjoy fantasy and intrigue, I recommend that you give Feudlings a try. I am sure you will not be disappointed.

And then there’s her ex himself, who is more interested in playing leader of the vampire pack than in his own salvation.

Becoming a better oracle is tough enough, but when Sophie encounters a deadly enemy – one she never dreamed of facing – it will take everything she’s ever learned in order to survive.

The drama is exciting and, with this book’s protagonist, Sophie, being an agony aunt/therapist to the demivampire race, this excitement reaches new heights; now, they are in danger of turning into monsters, too. It is an original concept but it makes sense: we all need reassurance sometimes.

Sophie is on the ignored end of an epic romance and this book describes the angst and anguish in a way which doesn’t grate. The hurt is realistic and the advice which comes from that hurt feels wise. Therefore Sophie herself is realistic – she has faults and positives and she isn’t the best at her job. In fact, there are no all good characters here – the world is grey and good for it.

There are next to no downsides to picking up this book. The major issue for me, having not read the previous book in the series, is that the introduction does not have too much back-story; for instance, “DV” is used as an acronym but not explained to be ‘demivamp’ until later.

There is also a tendency in the first few pages towards subordinate clauses as sentence starters; ‘I sank into an empty seat,’, ‘Reaching into by bag,’, ‘At the corner,’ and ‘Ironically,’. However, in some places this complements the fast plot pace and there is also very good use of sentence structure early on. The short sentence is used brilliantly – ‘I don’t believe in happily ever after. These days, I’d settle for alive until sunrise’.

In addition, there are very few typo problems; there’s a ‘save told him’ instead of ‘have’, ‘for learning for’ instead of ‘for learning…’, a ‘pass’ instead of ‘past’ and a ‘here’ instead of a ‘her’.

All in all, there is very little wrong with this book and no catastrophic issues at all. In fact, Ash Krafton has created credible characters with their own logic and back-stories and managed to bring them all together in an urban fantasy environment that never feels forced or too incredible. She has done what very few authors have done for me to date: made all her books something I put on my urgent to-read pile.

Although Isaac is determined not to let anything get in the way of his wooing Caleb, both men must open their hearts and take a chance.

Take a Gamble is a very sweet, quick novella. It stars Caleb and Isaac as they attempt to navigate a new relationship. There’s no external drama and the only real issue is Caleb’s epilepsy. He thinks that due to his medical condition no one would want to date him. Isaac isn’t worried and even goes so far as to learn what to do during a seizure. The two men are sweet together, although I never really felt their connection or chemistry so couldn’t really buy into them as a couple. Caleb is reluctant and non-committal, even after the epilepsy reveal, and Isaac is determined to make the relationship happen at all costs.

Part of this is that I felt that the men never came out of their pre-designed molds. They felt too artificial and flat versus fully developed and articulated characters. That could be due to the shorter length as well. Although the couple never quite connected with me, I did like the various secondary characters. Isaac’s pushy female best friend is funny and not overbearing while Caleb’s supportive brother has a brief but warm appearance. I also liked that the two men went on real dates, not just food and sex. The English countryside makes a nice backdrop. Although I’ve never been there, I could picture it quite clearly from the writing and thought it was lovely.

As a novella, the story is easy and quick to read. In fact I always seem to fly through the pages whenever I picked it up. I found it more of a lighter, beachy read than something engrossing and memorable. It’s decent and may suit those readers looking for something slightly different and lighter fare.

Jarrett and Marc aren’t your average love story, after all Jarrett is badly injured when Marc saves him and he nurses him back to health despite being afraid of him the whole time. The buildup for this story was slow and helped it be believable. We spend the time in Jarrett’s head, so we only know about Marc and his reactions based on how Jarrett perceives them.

Marc’s secret was a big one, and the author surprised me. I wasn’t expecting it. It does a good job of continuing the story and explaining Marc’s motivations. I wouldn’t say this is a love story in the traditional sense, but it’s an intricate interesting story about two men coming to rely, learn to trust and eventually love each other. I felt this was a story about the journey and I enjoyed it.

The world is well fleshed out and I can tell the author sees the struggles among the characters clearly and has paid attention to every detail.

I recommend this story because the characters are interesting, it has space pirates and the chemistry is sizzling between Marc and Jarrett.
