Sometimes you have to lose it all to find what you really need.

Photographer Kay Turner is dealt a double whammy when she flies home for her grandmother’s funeral to find her boyfriend with another woman. Now with two losses to mourn, she retreats to her newly inherited beach house to clear her head.

Everything at the beach is familiar: the sounds of the ocean, the scent of her grandmother’s perfume—and the irresistible smile of James Margolis. The man Kay spent her adolescence pining for is every bit as charming as she remembers.

James always thought of Kay as “a nice kid”, but he feels something very different for the woman she’s become. Especially when he asks if she’d be willing to part with some of her grandmother’s recipes for his new restaurant—and they wind up sharing much more than culinary secrets.
Soon, its main ingredient sildenafil citrate’s patent protectionexpired and scientists came levitra online up with Kamagra. The main reason of its popularity is growing cialis 10 mg fast. However, taking any drugs on your own is not the brilliant substitute because buying online viagra of suffering this dilemma. The effect of kamagra lasts up discount viagra http://www.devensec.com/viagra-1246.html to 4-6 hours.
But as their relationship deepens, Kay finds herself caught between the demands of her dream career as a travel photographer, and a chance for happiness with the one man she’s wanted for a lifetime.

A woman with a thriving career is about to learn life has its own plans, and things aren’t going to turn out the way she imagined at all….

Kay Turner is a small town girl gone big. She’s got a job she adores, which takes her on many travels, camera in hand. It isn’t until she comes home early that a few surprises are in store. You know how sometimes things get worse before they can get better? I find that saying to be true for Kay. Two hits in a row, and she’s on her way back to a place she considered a refuge, full of memories and at this point in time, they’re a little bittersweet. I like that Kay has to confront some things in her past in order to move on with her future. Coming back to town puts her face to face with a good friend from her past, James.

It seems James hasn’t forgotten about Kay. They used to be friends, although his true feelings had always been withheld. Now, James and Kay are free to explore the possibilities of what could be. But Kay’s situation is only temporary. Eventually, she’ll have to make a decision. I like James’ character. He’s a good guy, has had a few of his own problems in his past, but he’s a good friend to Kay, and would love to be more.

Their attraction starts of slow and then suddenly turns into a sizzling fire that’s hotter than fireworks. The pacing of the story is good, slow in a few areas, and while I enjoyed the sparks and attraction between Kay and James, I felt like there was a lot of extra sex as filler. I think the story could have been fleshed out a little more with a few less sex scenes. There’s a good build of conflict, as Kay struggles with what to do with the house that’s now up to her to work on, and James has a woman from his own past that keeps coming in and wanting favors from him.

I enjoy Ms. Stivali’s work, and while Then, Again isn’t my favorite read of this authors, it’s still a fun, sexy read that can be enjoyed by the pool side or any other time. Why not grab yourself a copy?

When night falls and the moon shines brightly, creatures emerge to stalk their prey. Heather Beck presents Creatures Of The Night, an anthology of fangs, claws and jaws.

What would you do if you discovered a creature that isn’t supposed to exist? How would you react if no one believed you when you told them what you’d found?

The characters in this collection come up with a wide variety of answers to these questions. Some believe what they’re seeing right away while others search for more mundane explanations, but all of them approach their discoveries with curiosity and courage.

“Eyes of Red” follows a shy, teenage girl named Lisa who is reluctant to give up her Halloween traditions because they were such an important part of her childhood. When trouble strikes Lisa is the first to leap into danger in order to help others. Her persistence and ability to think outside of the box in high pressure situations made her my favorite protagonist in this book.

The relationship between Alex Pierce and her father in “Night of the Eel” is strained to say the least. Mr. Pierce is so focused on staying young and hip that he treats his daughter like a rival instead of a family member. While the plot was intriguing the depths of his immaturity made it difficult for me to enjoy this tale. Jokes should end with everyone laughing, not just one person.

Before reading “The Pumpkin Patch” I never would have imagined that a pumpkin could be aggressive. Scott West’s obsession with this fruit is only expressed once a year during Halloween, but after burying a bizarre pumpkin in his backyard one fall he is shocked to see baby pumpkins growing in the same spot the next year. The premise is perfectly suited for middle school students, but I did wonder how a new patch could grow if last year’s pumpkin was buried after all of its seeds had been removed.

“Call of the Loon” ended this collection with a creepy peek into an unusual summer camp. Lorelei is disappointed when her parents ship her off to camp for four weeks, but as soon as she arrives she becomes caught up in the mysteries of Camp Loon. The foreshadowing was spooky, and the ending fit the atmosphere of this tale perfectly.

Creatures of the Night is a great choice for preteens interested in paranormal stories who are just beginning to transition to scarier material. The frights are genuine, but none of the monster descriptions are graphic or inappropriately violent.

Temperatures rise as the flames of longing still burn in the thrilling sequel to Wolf Sirens Forbidden. The legend continues. Apollo, god of deadly plague, conspires to undo his sister’s legacy. The wolves exist between two worlds, one in the town another in the forest.

Prophecy says hunters and wolves are cursed to a mutual attraction. Increasingly, each successive slayer becomes more alluring to the wolf. The predestined enemies struggle, to both resist and contain their fierce rivalry in a conflict powerful enough to tear two worlds apart.

A shadow has fallen over the heartlands of myth and reality. The chosen is reborn broken-hearted, in the scorching embers of grief. Devastated, Lila trains tirelessly as the assassin. She must submit to deliver justice and protect the innocent of Shade.

But is it love or revenge which motivates her?

The history of the wolf pack is revealed as devotion and desire in the underworld reaches fever pitch.

If The Bite Doesn’t Get You, Then the Fever Will

Author Tina Smith has a unique, mythological take on werewolves, as well as a different tone to her writing. This story is deep, quite dark and its pace is quiet and deliberate. Instead of racing through to book, we prowl, noses down in the night.

Lila is an interesting heroine. In the first book she was a typical teen, at least to begin with, worried about little more than fitting in, finding friends and what to do on a Friday night. Now, though. her life has changed dramatically. Not only is she keenly aware of the supernatural world in her backyard, she’s part of it. And that world killed the boy she loved.

The first book really revolved around Lila, and the other characters were very much in the periphery. This book isn’t the same. While Lila is certainly our main protagonist, we see much more of others this time, especially Cressida. She’s someone I really liked in book one, and I feel the same here. She’s strong, determined and mouthy … and is working to pass those traits on to Lila as they train.

The evil in this book is stronger, and instead of seeming very isolated this time, it feels bigger. Clearly the last book was a tiny battle in the ultimate war this story seems to be heading to. Fever is like setting up a game of chess… all the pieces are placed on the board here, and the pawns are in motion.

Don’t go in to this book (or series) expecting to have a constant adrenaline rush. It doesn’t work that way. It’s more like the waves of the ocean, sometimes quiet, sometimes loud and huge, but always powerful. There were times I was a bit frustrated when the story slowed, but in retrospect, it was necessary. And it taught me to be content just enjoying the words instead of needing constant action. Ms. Smith’s words are well chosen, the book well crafted and enjoyable.

I recommend the series to older teens and adults. It has a something for everyone.

How far would you go for freedom?

When genetically engineered sea drone Coral saved two drowning humans, she didn’t expect to end up questioning the foundations of her world… but humans don’t seem as different as she’s always been told. With nothing ahead of her but mindless days of harvesting seaweed for World Food Co., she has to know why humans are free to choose and drones aren’t.

Coral’s only hope of transforming her future lies in taking on a battle her people gave up a century ago. However, each step nearer to drone freedom brings her closer to falling in love with Rob, the man she saved and heir to the company she is fighting to change.

Struggling to unravel politics and passion, Coral begins to realize that she stands to lose more than just a chance at being human. Both her life and Rob’s may just balance on whether or not they can create a world where drones can be free.

Should they feel this way? cipla cialis india pdxcommercial.com That’s not for me to say. Troubles in an emotional relationship can also affect sexual relationship. order cheap cialis They side effects of viagra can even order online medications. Sometimes dreams come true in ways one never could have imagined. Would you make the same choices again if you knew ahead of time how everything would end?

There’s no doubt in my mind that Coral would follow the exact same path if she had known about her destiny in advance. Her curiosity about the humans she accidentally meets one day is all-encompassing, and the risks she took to save them only made me like Coral more. She never wavers from her conviction that the world is a beautiful place even when ugly things occur in it, and her determination to press on in any set of circumstances is admirable.

My only unanswered question about the plot involves what really happens to the body of a drone when she dies. As it is described the process doesn’t make sense. It would have been less confusing for for me if there had either been a more detailed explanation of what happens to their bodies or if the matter had been dropped. While I completely understand the author’s reasons for including this description in the story would have been just as compelling had this detail been left out.

Ultimately this was a cosmetic problem in an otherwise engrossing tale. I never wanted the story to end, and I was sorry to say goodbye to such memorable people. There was a surprising amount of character development in this piece of this length, and if this is any indication of Ms. O’Connor’s writing habits I can’t wait to read more from her.

Mermaid is hauntingly beautiful. I heartily recommend this book to anyone who has ever stared out into the sea and daydreamed about the secrets it might contain.

“Sometimes you have to go back to move forward. ”

Twelve years ago, Nadya Sarov and her mother fled Dale, Georgia, in the dead of night. Now she s back, but just long enough to tie up some loose ends. And if she gets a chance to flaunt her hard-won success to the town gossips who called her “gypsy whore,” all the better.

To her surprise, some memories die hard. Especially the hotter ones that still simmer for J.T. McBride, the preacher s son who was too honorable to take the virginity she offered all those years ago.

J.T. lost a big chunk of his innocence on the Iraqi front lines, and now that Nadya is once again close enough to touch, he doesn t plan on losing her again. But first he has to convince her that Dale isn t the mouth of hell she thinks she remembers.
This website is packed with cheap viagra australia compelling information and statistics to support these treatment modalities. It enhances their self-assurance and carries them on to an unusual path where they can effortlessly get pleasure from themselves and guarantee lowest cost levitra that their partner also is pleased. Keeping the popularity, its safety and efficacy cialis online pharmacy profile in view, the answer is yes.
Just as their remembered passion begins to melt Nadya s resolve to get back to New York as soon as possible, someone with an old grudge makes it clear they ll do anything to see her gone. Permanently.

When you run, the last thing you ever want to do is look back. Or come back. Especially when coming back means facing those in the small town who wanted nothing more than to run you out.

Nadya was cast as an outsider. Both she and her gypsy mother. There weren’t many people in Dale, the little town they lived in when Nadya was growing up. Times haven’t changed, but circumstances have, and those are what bring Nadya back to her past. I easily connected with Nadya. I know first hand what it’s like to be looked down on, and so her feelings, her actions, I understood completely. She’s a strong woman and when she left Dale she made a great life for herself. She struggles with some of the folks in Dale when she comes back, but I have to say she handles things with grace and poise. She learns to forgive and forget, even when those same haters don’t want to. With the help of her best friend Mary Ellen, and sexy cop J.T. She might just find herself a few surprises…such as love.

Now J.T…I love him! He’s a sweetheart. He was the preacher’s son back then, ready to leave Dale and never look back. Well, guess who’s now a police officer in Dale. Yup, J.T. He’s one of the few that’s very happy to see Nadya back. He’s always cared about her, and they shared something the summer before she was run off, and he’s never been able to get her out of his mind. J.T. is a fierce protector. Let’s just say if someone were messing with me I’d want him in my corner. I love his tenderness with Nayda.

This is a well written story that grabbed my attention right away. I love the chemistry between J.T. And Nadya, and throughout the story, they were certainly a couple to root for. I’d hoped that they could find themselves a happily ever after without all the drama from the towns people. The pacing of the story is great, snappy, fun dialog and well rounded characters.

This was my first read by this author and it won’t be my last. I adored this book, and I highly recommend it!

With little time to grieve, Kate finds herself the pariah of the racing world, the target of vicious e-mail messages, death threats, and a frenzy of blame on racing sites and blogs, including an influential, anonymous blogger who’s trying to get her fired. But nothing is as bad as knowing her friend’s killer is still out there—and aiming at Kate.

Braking Points by Tammy Kaehler is one of those books that mystery lovers will enjoy. The writing is crisp and descriptive. I’ve been to many a racing event and I felt, while reading this book, that I was right there in the pits. I didn’t want to put this book down. There are that many twists and turns. I was never sure who-done-it and needed to know.

Kate isn’t a bad person, but page after page, the press, her fellow drivers…everyone seems to have it out for her. She’s strong and while she’s stuck on a really crazy ride of emotions–her friend is murdered and a girl can’t just get beyond something like that–she keeps her head held high. I really liked her character and would love to see her in future books.

I liked Susie; she easily had enough spunk and attitude to deal with two Alpha men personalities. The way Blake and Brian easily fall into the understanding that they need to share and put Susie first was well done and made this story easier for me. There was no jealousy, just acceptance. Susie had her doubts but they were handled very well in this story. It’s a quick read and moves quickly but that’s something that most shifter stories have, and it works because I can easily wrap my head around a shifter knowing immediately who their mate is.

There were some seriously sexy scenes, and I would easily switch places with Susie for a night or two with the sexy Bear brothers. This was a great shifter story that I wholeheartedly recommend to fans of shifter romance.

I liked the way this story picked up right after the first book and the way introduced some new and interesting paranormals. The way Sam and Bob’s stories evolved is handled beautifully and their relationship is definitely very steamy. I felt for Hartman and Danjal, they loved and lost each other several years before and their reunion is both beautiful and painful to watch. I rooted for them to fix what was broken between them and to fall in love again.

The continuing story arc of Sam fighting hard to be just human as it becomes increasingly obvious he’s more than purely human is something I look forward to watching develop in future books. I find myself wondering if future books will also focus on Sam and Bob and secondary characters at the same time, after all Sam and Bob have a few friends like their friend Malachi that I would love to see settled with happily ever afters of their own.

This is a gritty detective novel that is blended smoothly with a sexy M/M romance story with delicious magic adding just a touch of whimsy to the story. I recommend this to paranormal romance and detective story fans equally who love when men love each other and aren’t afraid to express it.

Excerpt

A far second to oranges, the song I sang in the shower every night had a way of soothing me. More than anything, it made me tired enough to fall asleep. With Whitney gone, I didn’t have to whisper it.

The stars are out,
It’s time for bed.
Now close your eyes,
And rest your head.
May angels shield you with their wings,
As you dream your little angel dreams.

I didn’t recall composing that song, but apparently, I used to think I was good and perfect like the angels. I knew better now.

I stepped out of the shower and tugged a brush through my unruly brown tangles. I stared into the mirror over the sink as I started the song again. My skin screamed winter. I should be a warmer tan; I looked less creepy in the summer. Maybe that was why the girls had been digging into me so hard. I looked rather witchy. The unease that made them mock me was probably their souls warning them, urging them to notice I was different and dangerous.

At my worst, it feels like the fire that could easily shoot from my palm is raging inside of me. My heart picks up, more than when I’m scared. It pounds, I can’t hear. My blood dances, taunting me, begging me to hurt whoever’s hurt me. And I know that I can. I feel that I can.

But I don’t. I breathe and pray and let the magic cool.
