Seventy-eight year old Trinity thought that she was too old for falling in love, until she finds it in the most unlikely of places.

Trinity Davis is seventy-eight years old and has never been married. She spent her whole life living and breathing her career, but now, after being forced to retire, she realizes how much she’s missed. After seeing a brightly colored pamphlet for a dance at the senior center, she decides to go. What she doesn’t expect is to meet the soul mate that she has spent her entire life waiting for.

Trinity is 78 and has never been married. She devoted her whole life to her career; she was a great CEO. But now she’s been forced to retire. And she has no idea what to do with her life…

To take this type of medication, what you need to do is just to squeeze the sachet cialis india on a spoon or directly in your mouth. This is a very real problem that many older adults face and I wanted to see what Ms. Campbell did with the situation. She has written a really cute short story that demonstrates there is always more to life if you can open your heart and your mind to making a change. She writes about age with a good perspective; she must have some elderly people in her life.

She takes the bored, achy Trinity from a boring existence at home with nothing to do but watch TV and wait for the mail to a woman who is enticed by a green brochure for the senior center that says activities there are exciting. She’s cynical, but she’s going to give it a try. After all, the worst that could happen would be that she would be bored there, too.

The author then adds a nice gentleman who changes the way Trinity thinks of things. He gets her to dance, convinces her she doesn’t need to go to bed until after midnight, and she finds herself being drawn in. Ms. Campbell then adds a thief to the mix and the story gets much more exciting. I was enjoying the interplay between the two main characters but the confrontation with the thief worked very well with her story line.

This is a sweet easy read that goes well with a cup of coffee or tea and will make you smile. Why not buy a copy now and see what you think?

I enjoyed the easy-read style of Strike. The characters are likeable, they act as I would expect and the sex is steamy. The plot is fairly straight forward but that is sometimes exactly what I want, a relationship based storyline without too much interference from external forces and irritating conflicts.

The sex scenes are written in satisfying detail, there’s plenty of them, as well as some nice lines and descriptions that I re-read.

The bowling is a very small part of the book so don’t be put off if that’s not your sport of choice, and if it is, well, there’s not much, but, the book deserves it’s title because Colin is soooo good at scoring those points in the bedroom!

I would read more by Ms Zaines, when I’m in the mood for a relaxing, smoochy, sexy book. If boy meets girl, a little turmoil and angst and some delicious raunch is your thing then check out Strike.

The first thing I would tell a new author is to hold to the joy of writing. The actual joy of being immersed in your story, the joy of creation, the beautiful energy which comes when you are creating which makes the soul come alive. I have learned it is this joy, which can sustain me when the roller coaster, which is an author’s life, hits bottom. So many things in this business we have no control over but we do control the writing, where the joy lives.

Second, I would remind a new author not to forget to play. Play with words, play with structure, and play with rhyming and rhythm and with your story people and with your stories. Some of the best stories came about as a result of playing and they carry that energy with them. They come to life in a playful way, which the reader may then too enjoy.

Third, remember the page must do the work. The page stands alone whether you are sending it to an editor, an agent, a critique partner or group, or whether your book is in the hands of the reader. You will not be there to explain the page, defend the page or sell the page. The page must be strong enough to stand-alone. Do the things it takes to help that page stand-alone.

Fourth, you must also do the work. The story might be your baby, but perhaps your baby needs braces in order for everyone to be able to see that beautiful smile. If you take critique or editing advice personally and refuse to do anything about those crooked teeth it’s your story child who will shine less brightly.

Fifth, remember to celebrate the small things. Each step on the journey can be a blessing and a moment to be thankful. Remember each moment of the day only comes once.

Sixth, protect and guard your writing time and your process. This may require a bit of forcefulness on your part. But if you do not respect your writing time, how can you expect anyone else to?

Seventh, words once they are out there cannot be taken back. Whether they are words printed in a book, posted online or spoken words, once they are released you cannot retrieve them and redo them. Words carry energy. What are you sending out? Be careful not to rush your words and be aware of what you are sending into the world.

Eighth, at the end of the day, remind yourself of the first bit of advice posted here. Remember the joy before you go to sleep and be thankful. For all the challenges which come with being an author, it is one of the most joyful endeavors a person can experience, if you can remember to keep refocusing on the joy.

Jaguar shifter Maya Anderson learns about a secret jaguar society through undergournd social networking sites. She wanted to discover others like her, but now she’s got more trouble than she bargained for—including one hot jaguar shifter who’s set his sights on her. Wade Patterson has learned that Maya is a shifter—and available. But how does he get to know her when he left such a bad first impresssion? When he learns Maya has gone to a watering hole for jaguar shifters to meet up, he quickly follows after, hoping she is wily enough to hold her own…

Unrequited love is sad but unrequited lust can lend a comedic edge to a tale. An otherwise well-adjusted alpha male who is used to being in control at all times finds himself confused, frustrated and thoroughly out of sorts. He’s envious of another man because of what he believes he has. Sad because he wishes he could have just one, just one to call his own. And the sparks fly when Wade, the hero, finds out that nothing is the way he thought. The chase is on.

Maya is the target of Wade’s obsession. It started in the first book when I first met her brother, Connor in Savage Hunger. Maya and Wade were secondary characters there but in Jaguar Fever they take center stage. Conner and Kat, his wife, help out in this novel, but the focus is on Wade and Maya. This book has no problems being a standalone story. Any background information a reader needs is provided seamlessly and naturally as part of the plot to get Wade up to speed.

The author introduces a couple more interesting guys for future readers to drool over. There is no way Ms. Spear can leave these two new guys unfettered by love, they have what romance readers like. Throw in Wade’s brother, David and I’m hooked for at least three more books. All the guys have that certain something that makes me want more. The author has presented enough hints about their personalities to create an interest without overshadowing or undermining the focus from Wade or Maya. On top of that, there is the clever addition of a character I think comes from her wolf series. I KNOW there are going to be ramifications from what happens in this book. There has to be. But I can’t even begin to guess how that is going to manifest in a future book. These are the best kinds of teases.

I liked Wade. He’s in the “service” and he’s top notch. I liked the ways the author showed just how much Maya distracted him. It alternates between sexy and amusing.

Erectile dysfunction prevents men from achieving an erection long enough for order generic viagra lovemaking session. Myth: viagra online for sale Jacking off can make your penis bigger.
I enjoyed Maya and her propensity to strike out on her own, to be her own person. She does make some right decisions but they come at a cost. She makes some bad decisions and they end up biting back later in the book.

There is quite a bit of action. It’s well written and the author chose her words well. The violence is there but it’s just enough to get the point across without being gratuitous. The bad guys are quickly dispatched in various manners so readers will see justice meted out. Justice doesn’t always end in death however and I was pretty happy about that.

Ms. Spear ramped up the sexy with the shower scene. Wow, that was hot. Wade and Maya had plenty of opportunities to get hooked on each other. The thing that struck me most was the lack of the word ‘love’. Neither character was rushing towards that kind of commitment. They were both wary for different reasons. Some romances have either the heroine or the hero realizing what they might be feeling early on and it becomes a part of the plot conflict – that internal struggle of acceptance versus denial. That didn’t happen so much in this book. It was more of a growth through shared experiences. They each saw the best of each other and the worst in each crisis they faced. And every significant step brought them closer to the realization that it really wasn’t lust after all. There was something more. When the external crisis became critical, all the emotional dominoes fell into place. And yet…one says it and the other merely alludes to it. Do actions speak louder than words? Can “I love you” be translated in other ways other than the verbal three words? In this case, I think so. I would have preferred a mutual open sharing but I guess what the author did was keep the characters true to themselves. Some people are SO stubborn.

Another aspect I liked in the book was the teasing between siblings, the re-verification of the sister-like bond between Maya and Kat and the funny digs Dave gives to his brother, Wade. I loved how Connor gave Wade a hard time in the beginning and how Wade pushed back. I thought the man to man relationship growth was awesome. I could see the beginnings of an extended family built on respect. I enjoyed that community feeling.

Jaguar Fever lures a reader in with humor, snares their attention with drama, captures their imagination with exotic locations and satisfies the romance reader with sexy seduction, culminating in an explosive action packed climax. This book has it all. I enjoyed the cat references because they reinforced the ‘otherness’ of the hero and heroine and yet, it added a level of cuteness to an otherwise very serious plot. Ms. Spear continues to provide well written tales that reach the heart, stimulate the imagination and satisfy that yearning for a happy ever after proving why she’s an auto-buy for me. This author delivers the goods every time. A reader can’t go wrong with stories by Terry Spear.

Death is a luxury she can’t afford.

Life is hell for Persephone. Zeus will stop at nothing to gain access to the living realm and the Underworld, and as the only living god with a right to both, Persephone’s in trouble. Captured and tortured beyond the limits of her resolve, Persephone must find the power to stand against Zeus. But will she be strong enough?

Meanwhile, Hades contemplates desperate measures to rescue his queen. Persephone never thought of herself as dangerous, but there’s a reason gods never marry for love. A being with the power to destroy all of creation shouldn’t place more value in one individual than the rest of the planet. But Hades…Hades would break the world for her.

To save the world and stop both Hades and Zeus, Persephone must make a difficult choice. One that may cost her everything.

Not everyone will make it out of the battle against Zeus unscathed.

The Iron Queen picks up exactly where the intense cliffhanger in Daughter of the Earth and Sky ended. Readers wanting to enjoy this book must read the previous two books in the series in order to fully understand the events in this tale.

Persephone continues to amaze me with her strength and resilience. She suffers unthinkable and sometimes graphic acts of torture at the hands of Zeus, her own father. Zeus believes he can break her, but I think he seriously underestimates Persephone. As I read, I was on pins and needles wondering how in the world she would escape.

Throughout this series, Persephone has undergone a lot of changes. She continues to grow and mature in this book as well. I really like Persephone and have come to think of her as a friend. I truly wish I could have spared her some of the physical and emotional pain. However, everything that Persephone has been through has helped shape her into a very strong woman. I know that she will be a wonderful and very powerful goddess who genuinely cares about the Earth and humanity.

Hades continues to fascinate and scare me. His love and passion for Persephone is so powerful that I have no doubt that he would “break the world” for her. The situation with Zeus seems so dire at times that I was beginning to wonder if it would really come to that.

I didn’t get to see Hades and Persephone interact as much as I would have liked in this book, but Zeus couldn’t keep them apart for long. I’ve enjoyed watching them grow as a couple throughout the series, and I was very satisfied with their happy ending.

Ms. Bevis introduces a host of gods and goddesses in this story along with a brief description of each character’s powers. Since I’m familiar with Greek mythology, I didn’t have a problem following all the new additions. However, readers unfamiliar to mythology might be a bit overwhelmed. I assume the new gods and goddesses will make appearances in future installments of the series.

Aphrodite has several chapters devoted to her in this book. In Daughter of the Earth and Sky, Aphrodite came off as very superficial and flighty. Consequently, she wasn’t exactly my favorite character. However, the chapters devoted to her in The Iron Queen provide some much needed insight into Aphrodite’s character that helped me begin warm to her. The fourth book in the series will focus on Aphrodite, and I’m curious to see what Ms. Bevis has planned.

I thought the previous book was emotional, but this one is even more so. The final solution for dealing with Zeus literally had me sobbing. I understand why a certain character chose to make a huge sacrifice, but that didn’t make it any easier to bear. This character’s selfless action definitely illustrated the fact that Ms. Bevis is not afraid to have her characters make tough choices and some of them don’t get a completely happy ending. Even though the storyline involving Persephone, Hades, and their conflict with Zeus has a very satisfying conclusion, Ms. Bevis has once again left the door open for another adventure. There are a few unanswered questions that have left me craving the fourth book.

The Iron Queen is an intense and touching tale. Ms. Bevis has created a captivating world filled with great characters that I’ve come to know and love. I can’t wait to see what happens to them next. I highly recommend The Iron Queen as well as the rest of the series to readers looking for a gripping young adult fantasy.

The author leaves much of Daniel’s characterization up to inference, and I highly recommend reading The Lucifer Glass more than once in order to catch onto all of the clues about his personality that are sprinkled in each chapter.

While reading the first few chapters I wasn’t sure why this story was marketed as horror. The plot was well paced, but it took some time for me to feel frightened. Once the appropriate amount of tension and backstory built up, though, I was quite pleased with how everything began snapping together. The slow burn of the first chapter or two was well worth my initial confusion as soon as I realized what was happening.

The Lucifer Glass encouraged me to care about what happens to Daniel long before anything scary happens to him. I’d highly recommend this book to anyone who loves the subtleties of psychological horror but isn’t adverse to a little gore.

Children of Night, Book 3

Growing up, vampire-born twins Julie and Marc Fischer were taught one simple fact of life: you can choose your food, but not your family. Six months after moving to San Francisco, though, the new challenges and choices each are facing are a Gordian knot of complicated.

Marc must decide whether to stay with Conrad and Damian, the only family he’s ever known, or embrace his destiny and the unexpected family—the ferals—that comes along with it. Meanwhile, Julie is forced to deal with the unpleasant realization that the man she loves isn’t necessarily the man who’s best for her.

In some cases, men buy levitra online improve spontaneously without treatment within a year or two, and scar tissue may even disappear. Researchers have evaluated the cialis prescription prices antimicrobial properties of this plant. Kamagra can be found cialis properien also in the jelly form. Meanwhile, there is a fire at the mayor’s house and cheap cialis no one in the neighborhood is around to report it. For Conrad and Damian, the holiday season is stirring up bittersweet memories, and neither can keep from revisiting past passion and pain.

Faced with new mysteries to solve, new alliances to forge, new secrets to keep, and old relationships to rebuild, it’s no wonder the Fischer-Quintano vampires long for the good old days—when food was food and family was all that mattered.

Now Comes the Night is the latest in PG Forte’s darkly delicious world of the Quintano House of vampires, and those around them. All of my favorite characters are back in attendance, and Ms. Forte has kept the intriguing blend of past and present vignettes that has marked the previous books. I enjoy the glimpses into Conrad and Damian in an earlier time, and I really enjoyed seeing the peeks into Marc and Julie’s childhood, and what growing up vampire was like. There are a few new additions to the family, well, not exactly new, but recently arrived after some absence from Conrad and Damian’s circle, most notable among these is Georgia, who comes at Conrad’s insistence to perform a secret task for him. There are conspiracies and hidden agendas with many of these characters, and loyalties are strained and tested.

Love is the most amazing thing. It makes fools of the strongest of men, and no one knows this better than Conrad Quintano. For centuries, he has suffered, loving someone and believing that love was lost, but determined to keep his beloved close. Damian also thought he would never have Conrad’s love, and yet he stayed, just to be near the one he wanted over all others. As Conrad continues to recover from his ordeal, life moves on, and things are changing in a big way in San Francisco’s vampire world. Marc Fisher, still a bit angry after the betrayal and attack that caused him the loss of an eye, has moved out of Conrad’s house, and has befriended the ferals, a group of vampires that have no house, no protection, no family. Marc realizes that these aren’t bad people, and decides to help them become more accepted by vampire society, even while he continues his search for the one who maimed him. While Marc follows his plan, Julie is still with human guard Brennan, but she is beginning to realize that there may not be a ‘happily ever after’ for the two of them. As Conrad convinces Damian of his love, he still continues the search for the one who dared to harm what is important to him; his family, in this case Marc. Can Conrad focus his attention on Damian, while trying to keep up the appearance of strength and unity in his house? Will Marc find what he is looking for now that he is out of the Quintano house, and on his own? Can the Quintano House stand, and keep its secret, or will the past rear up to cause more damage?

Conrad Quintano remains the dominant and determined vampire leader he has always been, although still less than full strength after the abduction and attempt on his life in the recent past. He has finally learned that what he has believed for centuries is not, in fact, true. The one he thought lost to him, his love and lover, Damian, doesn’t hate him at all, and has been laboring under the mistaken idea that it was Conrad that hated him. I enjoyed watching as these two strong and determined men continue to tiptoe around their emotions, although they now know how foolish they have been. But there are still some tense moments ahead for them, and I enjoyed watching the give and take between these two, as they renew their relationship and become comfortable together again.

The twins, Marc and Julie, are learning to stand on their own as they mature. Marc is starting to be curious about where they came from, and why Conrad has kept them both sheltered for most of their lives so far. I like Marc, and can’t wait to see what he does with the feral vampires as he grows ever closer to them. Julie wants a fairytale happy ending, and knows she won’t have it with Brennan, no matter how she feels about him now.

PG Forte has written a compelling and captivating story, with an intriguing blend of present, recent past and some snippets of life when Conrad and Damian were first together. I love the little glimpses of what drives each character, and how where they have been has made them who they are. This series is addictive, like watching a favorite soap opera with real bloodsuckers, wondering what secrets will be revealed in the next episode. I can’t wait for Ms. Forte’s next book in this series, and I am definitely firmly in the ‘Team Conrad’ group. I recommend this one for those who know that vampires don’t sparkle, and aren’t always sweet and gentle lovers.

All he wants is to explore the desolate, empty moon while putting his failed romance behind him, but as lonely day after lonely day stretches out, he realizes he has company. The moon isn’t dead after all. Life and intelligence lingers as does the stark knowledge that all mankind is in danger.

Some people will go to any lengths to get out of marriage, but faking a death and then becoming exiled alone on the moon does seem to take things to unbelievable lengths. Yet, that is just what Philip Foster does. First, his company manages to move the moon closer to Earth and then change its rotation so that the moon is always full. Flint’s story is just as fun now as it was, I’m sure, when it was first published. I enjoyed reading about Foster’s discoveries, and about how he planned for his permanent exile. His partner, Jack Bates, transmits messages from earth in code to Foster, so that there is some communication. Foster has to figure out how to transmit as well as receive, but over time the two are able to keep up on the events both on Earth and on the moon.

I think the strongest part of this story is the way Foster learns about himself through journaling his experiences. Foster creates his own moon car so that he can explore further from his home, and as he searches craters and crevices, he is astonished to discover that there are evidences of life on a supposedly dead moon. He is not alone after all.

This story offers hope for humankind, that civilization can become more humane and less selfish. The details in the journal get a bit sluggish in spots, but overall, Foster’s story is exciting and suspenseful. Since this novel was written, we have actually been to the moon, but I found nothing in this novel that has been proven false by those moon landings. Maybe, just maybe, the Selenites really do exist.

I’m sure that anyone who enjoys science fiction will enjoy Out of the Moon.

Trapped together on the Sinners tour bus for the summer, Sed and Jessica will rediscover the millions of steamy reasons they never should have called it quits in the first place…

Rock Hard is part of Olivia Cunning’s sinfully hot series, Sinners On Tour, a look at the intense lives of a famous, although fictional, rock band, and what goes on behind the scenes, on the bus and in the hotel rooms during one tour.

Jessica Chase is determined to succeed in law school…on her terms. When her fiancé, Sedric ‘Sed’ Lionheart tries to control her life and dictate to her, she breaks their engagement (and her heart) and walks away. When she needs to earn enough for one more semester, after some setbacks at school, she dances at a Vegas club with a friend, until one night, celebrating Brian Sinclair’s recent engagement at the very same club, Sed sees Jessica on stage nearly naked and almost destroys the club.

So why pay 8 times more levitra prices canada for a while. He was unacquainted with the challenges of the appalachianmagazine.com cialis properien medicine, stop taking the tablet and call for immediate medical help. Although, there are certain things which one should viagra online keep in mind that the doctors have to be certain that the website which you are able to consider with out any confusion. These medicines samples of levitra are available in different forms of consumption and taken by mouth only. Sed never stopped loving Jessica, but he can’t seem to get it through his head that control is the one thing that will drive her from him…again. After Jessica is fired, she accepts a job as Myrna’s assistant, not realizing that it means she will be traveling with the band, and Sed, for the next ten weeks. After some hot and sleepless nights, Jessica decides she will ‘scratch her itch’ using Sed for sex and not letting her heart become involved. Sed is delighted, but quickly learns that Jessica won’t stand for being treated as an object again. When tragedy hit too close, and Jessica realizes she could lose Sed forever, she realizes what is most important to her, and they find out that love isn’t easily forgotten after all. Can Jessica teach Sed what is important to her, and keep her identity? Can Sed learn to listen, and let loose of the reins fro time to time? Will almost losing everything be the catalyst to finally save these two?

I must confess, rock music is one of my guilty pleasures, and the men in this band are hot enough to melt hearts and panties the world over. I enjoyed this peek behind the scenes, and what happens when things aren’t always perfect. Ms. Cunning shows the vulnerable side of her strong heroes, and the determination of their women to make things happen, and she does it with humor, spontaneity, an lots of hot and steamy sex in strange and not always private places.

Jessica Chase is smart, dedicated and determined to live her life her way. When she walked away from the man she loves, it broke her heart, but she was determined to make it on her own without letting her career take second place to a controlling man like Sed. Too bad her heart didn’t get the memo. I like Jessica, with her sassy attitude, and her decision to do just like the guys do and take what she wants; and what she wants is Sed, even if it is just his body she thinks she wants. It was a delight to watch as she took what he offered, and just tried to tell herself it was only sex. Watching her teach Sed a lesson was one of the hottest parts of this one, and made the outcome all the sweeter.

Sedric ‘Sed’ Lionheart, lead singer of the Sinners, rock god beyond compare, doesn’t understand Jessica’s point of view. He is strong, talented, and just wants to protect and provide for everyone he cares about. That includes Jessica, and he just doesn’t get what went wrong. When he gets a second chance to earn her love, he is determined to listen and make things work, and I enjoyed watching as Sed began to understand what went wrong, and how he could win the love of his woman. I like watching as he learns to bite his tongue and let Jessica take the lead at times, knowing it will make things better in the end.

The interaction between the band members is such fun to see, from Trey’s unrequited love for band mate Brian, to Eric’s craziness, and Jace and his mysterious silence. But this is definitely Sed and Jessica’s story, and even when tragedy strikes, and Sed could lose it all, there is a sense that these five men will pull together and find some way to move through it and support Sed in his dark time. The heat generated by Jessica and Sed can keep a city warm on the coldest night, and the imagination and unique locations for their passionate trysts is beyond hot. Do Sed and Jessica find their happy ever after? Read Rock Hard to discover for yourself. I do recommend that Backstage Pass be read first, to discover the world Ms Cunning has so skillfully crafted.

A deadly game of deception
A notorious beauty with a shadowy past

In the time of Napoleon, Vidia Swanson appears to live a gilded life of ease and luxury. Beneath this façade, however, she works for the Home Office as an ‘angel,’ coaxing secrets from powerful men who may or may not be traitors to the Crown. In the course of her latest assignment, matters take an alarming turn when she realizes that her spymaster suspects that she is the one who is tainted–a double agent working for the enemy.

Lucien Carstairs is a fellow agent with his own dark secrets–unless he is setting an elaborate trap to reveal her own supposed treason. Backed into a corner, she can only hope to stay one step ahead of the hangman in a race to stop the next war before it destroys them–and destroys England.

Tainted Angel offers up a compelling game of cat and mouse in which no one can be trusted–and anyone can be tainted.

Replete with foreshadowing, clues, and chameleon characters, Tainted Angel is tantalizing and seductive. Trust is not to be found, but allegiance to the cause of saving England and staying alive in the process rules the lives of agents.

Vidia Swanson, a renowned beauty who survived incredible odds as she made her way through the Napoleonic War zone from Portugal to England, does whatever needs to be done for the secret undercover group she works with. To be honest, she thrives on the danger and excitement. It keeps bad memories at bay.

Living in a house one man bought her, sleeping with another man, and fending off advances of would-be lovers, Vidia treads a perilous path. She knows some people suspect she is a double agent and would have no qualms about having her hanged. The mystery and suspense that surrounds her actions keeps the reader on tenterhooks. She lives on the brink of disaster and knows honesty is not part of the equation as she deals with people. Even the agents in her group are trying to set a trap for her.

She works as an “angel” most of the time. She distracts while another agent carries out the undercover operation. Her beauty is her most useful weapon and she uses it with phenomenal skill.

Carstairs, the agent she has worked with and now sleeps with, has an assignment to find out the truth about Vidia. Their attraction to each other is strong, but duty is stronger. They both agree “to be as honest as they can be in their dishonesty.”

Benjamin Brodie, the man who bought the house for Vidia, is a wealthy, self-confident, adventure-loving puppet master that plays people with consummate skill. He likes what he does. He takes care of himself at every turn and no one is quite sure of his allegiance. Is it to England, France or just to himself? His relationship with Vidia is unique and, to me, a real surprise. He is a planner deluxe.

The spymaster is one of the most interesting secondary characters. The way he relates to Vidia later in the story is riveting. None of the secondary characters can be discounted. They all add their special design to the overall tapestry of Tainted Angel. The subtle, but ever-present question about the elusive gold threads through the tapestry to the very end. Who would have thought of it being where it was?

Who ‘the rabbit’ is and the significant of the Argo kept me searching for clues.

Anne Cleeland’s concise writing style with its undercurrent of danger kept me turning pages with bated breath much of the time. While I wasn’t sure I even liked the characters in the beginning, as their back stories came to light and their true motivations were revealed, I felt a unique kind of empathy for them. Ms. Cleeland left plenty of ‘bread crumbs’ along the way, but I still got more than a few surprises. She tells a riveting tale about a time in history that redefined how governments would govern. More especially she created memorable characters, a plot that sizzles, and a happy-ever-after with a touch of humor. Good Reading!
