I enjoyed the easy-read style of Strike. The characters are likeable, they act as I would expect and the sex is steamy. The plot is fairly straight forward but that is sometimes exactly what I want, a relationship based storyline without too much interference from external forces and irritating conflicts.

The sex scenes are written in satisfying detail, there’s plenty of them, as well as some nice lines and descriptions that I re-read.

The bowling is a very small part of the book so don’t be put off if that’s not your sport of choice, and if it is, well, there’s not much, but, the book deserves it’s title because Colin is soooo good at scoring those points in the bedroom!

I would read more by Ms Zaines, when I’m in the mood for a relaxing, smoochy, sexy book. If boy meets girl, a little turmoil and angst and some delicious raunch is your thing then check out Strike.
