Anne has always been the wild friend, the risk-taker. When she moves away, Tori’s life is going to be a whole lot duller. But of course Anne insists on one last adventure—tailing their hot hunk of a neighbor, the one they watch through his window as he works out, to see where he goes on Thursday nights.

A bowling alley—this might be the first time one of Anne’s schemes hasn’t gotten them into trouble. Until Tori finds that her friend has a little matchmaking in mind.

Collin is instantly smitten. He has no trouble getting into Tori’s bed, but the next morning she’s gone. What will he have to do to convince her to let him into her heart as well?

A change can be as good as a rest, but when this hunky bowler is in the bed, there won’t be much sleeping going on!

Tori is facing life on her own when flatmate, and all round wild child, Anne announces that she is moving away. But to spice up their last night on the town they decide to trail their sexy neighbor – a hot guy who they enjoy indulging in a little voyeurism by watching him through his window when he works out. But Anne, true to form, soon meddles and leaves Tori and Colin alone to talk about not just his skill in shooting a ball up the alley, but also to enjoy a hefty dose of flirting.

I enjoyed the easy-read style of Strike. The characters are likeable, they act as I would expect and the sex is steamy. The plot is fairly straight forward but that is sometimes exactly what I want, a relationship based storyline without too much interference from external forces and irritating conflicts.

The sex scenes are written in satisfying detail, there’s plenty of them, as well as some nice lines and descriptions that I re-read.

The bowling is a very small part of the book so don’t be put off if that’s not your sport of choice, and if it is, well, there’s not much, but, the book deserves it’s title because Colin is soooo good at scoring those points in the bedroom!

I would read more by Ms Zaines, when I’m in the mood for a relaxing, smoochy, sexy book. If boy meets girl, a little turmoil and angst and some delicious raunch is your thing then check out Strike.
