Good morning and thank you for the recent awesome review on Darn Good Cowboy Christmas. When my fabulous editor, Deb Werksman, called me and said that yes, she did want a Christmas book for this season I was very excited because I love writing about the holidays. Raylen had been sitting on my shoulder and talking to me about his story ever since Pearl and Wil met at the Longhorn Inn over in Henrietta. And then I saw a carnival setting up outside of town and figured out that’s where Liz had lived all her life. Now I had a hero with roots running deep into the Texas soil and a heroine with wings. With those odds could they ever have a happy-ever-after?

How does a carnival inspire a story about cowboys? Well, in my line of work, most anything can bring on an idea for another cowboy romance. It’s a major malfunction in my brain called acute cowboymyopathy and there is no known cure for it. Antibiotics don’t help and chocolate only slightly deters the disease. One thing does pacify the symptoms and that’s writing stories about sexy cowboys and the sassy ladies that capture their hearts, but I have to keep writing story after story or it recurs.

Someone asked what inspired me to write so many books or series about cowboys? It’s sanity, darlin’. I rather enjoy being viewed as a sane person and if I’m not writing that white van with no windows or markings keeps driving up and down my street.

Seriously, the day that Beau Luckadeau (Lucky in Love) came to visit my imagination I fell in love with writing about cowboys and have been ever since.

It all started like this: Husband I were riding down the road one beautiful summer day and I saw a cowboy standing on one side of a barbed wire fence and a pretty lady on the other side. Their body language said they were having a big argument. By the time I got home Beau was already pestering me to tell his story and Milli Torres had her hands on her hips telling me just exactly how it really happened. I told them repeatedly that I wrote sweet historical series and contemporary single titles and their story was much too hot to keep in the confines of a sweet romance book. Beau told me that he didn’t give a Texas sized hoot what I had written. But what I would write would start a brand new career in cowboy romance. Milli wanted me to write about all of it: fights, arguments and even the scene in the hay barn during a thunderstorm—everything that happened that finally brought them to their own happy ending.

So I wrote. After all, it was just one book, right? And I didn’t even have a publisher so it might never sell. I sent it to Deb Werksman at Sourcebooks and she called me a few weeks later with an offer to buy the book. But she wanted me to make it into a trilogy. I remember telling her that Beau was the youngest son in his family and all the other brothers were married.

To which she answered, “But he has all those sexy cowboy cousins.”

Slade (One Lucky Cowboy) popped right up and agreed with her and Griffin (Getting Lucky) said she was definitely right.

I was bitten by acute cowboymyopathy before I’d finished that first trilogy!

I was ready to do another series before I even got the Lucky series done and was really grateful that Deb bought the Honky Tonk series: four books about an old bar down in Palo Pinto County, Texas. It’s a place where cowboys show up for a cold beer, a little two-steppin’ and flirting. When it was written the new Spikes & Spurs series was already shaping up. It started out to be a trilogy, worked its way into a four book series and is now up to seven books. Seems like those cowboys and spicy ladies just keep coming through the door of my imagination with no end of characters who want their stories told and I’m loving every minute of it.

So tell me what inspires you to read a good cowboy romance? Is it that they touch your emotions and make all your senses tingle? Is it their swagger, their drawl or the way they treat their women?

If you’ve not read any of the books in this series this might be a good one for you. It’s a quick sexy read and might have you returning for more.

This is an entertaining story with a humorous underscore that should keep readers of historical romance interested until the end.

Lea and both men endeared themselves to me right from the beginning. Just like Lea, I felt the need to make the men forget their past pain and live in the here and now. Much of the story is about the relationship that builds between Lea, Toby and Jake but the killer stalking Lea is not about to be left behind. He is more than ready to have his story told as well. Cubrero is one nasty piece of work and is proud of it. The author has done a great job of creating such a dark villain which makes you only want to help Leah as much as the men do.

I really enjoyed the progression of the relationship between Lea and the men. The three find a way to make the best of their situation. Both men are strong and dominant and even though Lea enjoys letting them dominate her she never looses herself and her fiery personality. The men share a unique relationship themselves and I loved the playfulness that comes out between them with Lea.

All of the characters are so full of depth and emotion that they are vividly brought to life. The writing was done so well from the first chapter, I was pulled right into their world, not to be let go until the end. SiNN is worth checking out.

This is a smashing adventure that I greatly enjoyed reading. The author’s main male character, Jim Owens, has lost in love and fortune and wants nothing more than to be declared “dead” so he can get on with a new life. The story is set in the late 1890s and the cross-culture mix of Victorian attitudes and the crude desert life make this tale interesting. Travel is by camel, so the author uses the slowness of travel to enhance the tension between her two characters very effectively.

I had not read anything by this author before, but I’ll be looking for her work now. This book impressed me enough it is going in my personal library. It’s a rollicking good tale with outrageous characters and I recommend it to all.

Seeing them express their feelings for each other, even in the little ways was sexy. Then there’s Kelsi. I could completely understand her feelings in the beginning and I liked how the author played it out. My heart ached when she had to deal with the pain early on. Sure, there were times when I thought she was a little whiny and I’d have liked her to figure things out a little faster, but that’s why I didn’t write the story. I couldn’t get the build up and the palpable feeling of Kelsi’s twin sensations of desire and confusion S. Michael weaves into the story.

This book stayed with me because I had to rehash and replay what happened in my head. I didn’t want to let Gage, Kelsi, and Kief go. Want to immerse yourself in their story? Then grab a copy of Bringing Her Home. It’s a great read.

Casey’s reserved attitude holds steady in most of the book. She’s got a tragic past, or so it seems, as the author gives readers hints and glimpses into a past Casey would love to just put behind her. The only good ties she has here are her brother and his wife. Casey’s reclusive life is slowly changing, now that she’s surrounded by what’s left of her family, and a man who must protect her at all costs, despite Casey’s efforts to push him away.

Scott Weller is just as unhappy about having to be a bodyguard to Casey as she is. Scott is also a friend of her brother, and Casey wants the information about needing protection and a possible stalker to stay hidden. The sparks fly between the two, though at first it’s not the good, falling in love sparks. The two drive each other crazy and are usually throwing harsh words at one another for awhile. After a few incidents, though, the two finally start getting along and giving into their desires.

Ms. Molina brings the characters to life with their troubled pasts and wide variety of characteristics that make them very dynamic. The tension is high as someone gets closer to having Casey just where they want her. I was left guessing until the very exciting climax of the book, one that I didn’t see coming. This is an excellent novel, one that had me at the edge of my seat, hanging onto every word. Romantic suspense fans should take note of this author, and this excellent story with believable characters and intense plot.

If you like a tough heroine, a hero that will do anything to protect the woman he loves, and a story about giving into what the heart wants, then don’t miss Forget Me Not.

To Heketoro, what’s important is one last ritual of love needed to break an ancient curse that prevents him from returning to his world. But as the time draws near, his enemies return and threaten to destroy him by using his only weakness — Danii.

Three Days of Dominance is a story full of heat, passion, and intrigue. Author Cari Silverwood has managed to create something unique in the paranormal genre, combining elements of BDSM with fantasy. The result is something that is refreshing, although certain elements fail to reach their full potential.

The heroine, Danii, is a police officer who has no problem standing on her own. Her job isn’t easy, so she turns to alcohol to dull the pain she experiences. Fortunately, happiness exists in her life in the form of her companion and dog, Killer. One day while walking Killer she finds herself in a spot of trouble. To her shock, a man offers to help her in exchange for three days of obedience. Thinking he’s a bit confused and out of sorts, Danii agrees, although she has no idea what exactly it is she’s signed on for.

Several elements of Three Days of Dominance ensure a reader will keep turning the pages; namely the hero, Heketoro. He seems to exist at the lake where Danii encounters him, but ultimately he is a mystery. As
his story unfolds and you learn of his history the book takes on a paranormal/fantasy edge. At this point Danii has to reconcile her feelings for the strange man she can’t stop thinking about, decide if she believes he is what he says he is, and choose whether or not she wants to help him. These portions of the story are heightened by sizzling sex scenes that erotic romance fans are sure to enjoy. Creighton, Theodore, and Gary Jones. “Selection or Self-Selection? The interaction between her characters feels very organic and her sex scenes sizzle. As an added bonus her world build is fascinating and she’s laid the foundation for a very compelling series if she decides to take Three Days of Dominance beyond one book.

I would recommend this novel to fans of erotic fantasy with BDSM elements, particularly those who enjoy stories involving magic and mystical creatures. If you’ve not read Three Days of Dominance this just might be the story you’re searching for.

I like listening to her ‘inner dialogue’ about David as she becomes closer to him, and loved her combination of sexiness and innocence.

David White is an interesting hero. He writes children’s books, and he’s one hot hunk. His only fault was agreeing to the television show in a moment of weakness, after his girlfriend left him. I love David’s sense of humor, and his willingness to believe in the unbelievable, and accept Holly for who she really is.

There are some fun parts to this story, as Holly and David become acquainted and learn that things aren’t always what they may appear to be. I loved that, just as things were heating up between our lovely elf and her hot hunk, big brother shows up to take Holly back to the North Pole and her family. The rest of the story is delightful, and I was surprised at the things David was willing to do to try and contact Holly to see if there was really something there to build a relationship on.

When Shane’s Need was set to be released, readers were treated to another unexpected surprise. Author Kiera West isn’t as new a writer as we all thought. The very talented Melissa Schroeder is the author behind this pen name. If you haven’t had the chance to read the first three books in this series it isn’t too late to start now. They are all short stories that focus on Eve getting to know one of the men but due to the back story of the evil threatening them all, they really aren’t stand alones. Each story is well developed and adds to the overall plot. The characters themselves have been fun getting to know. With so many people involved in a single relationship it’s nice to focus on each man one at a time.
