Tyler James is a pro at keeping his emotions bottled up. He uses sex as a tool, never associating it with love. When Cavendish sends one of their representatives to try and recruit him to be their poster boy, he’s ready to tell them where they can shove their offer. But the dark-haired god in the Armani suit has him choking on his words.

Marcus Vinetti fights tooth and nail not to be sent to the boondocks to recruit some hick. He’s surprised when he meets his cowboy target who has muscle upon muscle and gorgeous green eyes. Although he’s usually good at masking his deviant desires, Tyler brings all his needs and wants to the surface.

Will Tyler be able to change his long-standing playboy ways, and will Marcus finally accept that he’s in love with another man?

Ms. Wilder outdid herself in the third book in the Coming Out Series. She paired complete opposites and threw obstacles a-plenty in their paths on their road to a happy ever after. A very exciting read with a lot of ups and downs.

Tyler James is a self-proclaimed playboy. Commitment is not a necessity, he wants a good time; he can’t fathom why anyone would want to fall in love. He was raised in foster care and as soon as he could he ran away from the abusive family. In the past several years he’s made a name for himself in the rodeo circuit. Tyler claims he loves his vagabond life style but it’s the demons from his past that keep him on the move. The ghost from his past always seem to find him and being on the move had set well with him until he meets Marcus Vinetti. Marcus Vinetti is a man trapped in the closet where his sexuality is concerned. He’s a smart, confident business man but stuck in the rut of living his life for everyone else and not himself. Marcus is a good guy just afraid of abandonment. But once he meets Tyler he thinks he’s found the man he could give everything up for. To say sparks fly doesn’t do it justice.

I loved how Tyler was very free with the way he talked and never hesitated to show affection to Marcus. His openness help Marcus realize that a person can’t change who they are and that just because he’s gay doesn’t make him any less a human being. These two men complement each other so well. Where Marcus lacked Tyler had strengths and vice versa.

There were two major obstacles they had to overcome within this story and the resolution to the second one took me by surprise. I knew something was bound to happen to help Tyler break away from the abusive family who raised him but the ending just shocked me to the core. The sacrifice Marcus made definitely made him a hero.

I wholeheartedly recommend Loving Tyler. It has a little bit of everything that makes it a page turner; drama, fear, and one erotic love scene after another. Tyler and Marcus grew together with every page turned and proved where there’s love anything is possible.

Samantha Van Skyhawk’s, life is in terrible danger—and her unlife may just be beginning. Samantha’s dad is a vampire and soon, she too will change. She flees with her mom and brother to Shadow Falls to find the spell to kill the vampire blood flowing through her veins. When Samantha encounters Brent, a human with the most bewitching smile, things get complicated. She doesn’t have time for a romance, not with the daunting task of defeating a vampire who has been around for centuries. Then Samantha meets Drake, a totally hot vampire, who claims she belongs with him and the darkness within her completely agrees. She must fight her incredible urge to be with Drake and the yearning within her soul to become what she fears most. Will she save herself and those she loves or will she embrace the night forever?

Will Samantha’s blood betray her?

Darkness Within starts off at a fast pace and doesn’t let up until the very end. Samantha is in a race against time. She must kill the vampire blood in her veins before her seventeenth birthday or it will take over and she’ll truly be a member of the undead. I found the concept of “killing” the vampire blood in a person with a spell interesting, and not something I remember coming across in other vampire stories.

I liked Samantha. She has a lot of information dumped on her in a very short amount of time. Not only does she learn that vampires, werewolves, and witches exist, but that she is also part vampire and witch. She completely freaks out at first, which I think is the normal reaction any sane person would have. However, she eventually accepts the truth of her situation and commits herself to figuring out a way to save herself and protect her family. Her devotion to her family is certainly admirable.

As if dealing with her paranormal heritage weren’t enough, Samantha has two boys vying for her affection. Brent is the classic good guy. He’s always willing to lend a hand and he demonstrates incredible patience and understanding when it comes to Samantha’s situation. On the other hand, Drake is the bad boy tempting Samantha to the dark side. While I truly believe that Samantha’s initial attraction to both boys is genuine, her relationship with both progressed too fast. She meets both boys soon after she arrives in town and immediately falls in love with both. I found this a little hard to swallow because it didn’t seem like Samantha had spent enough time with either boy to really get to know them. Consequently, I felt that Brent and Drake’s characters could have been developed a bit further. Brent is the good guy and Drake is the bad guy. Beyond that, I know very little about either. There were moments when I thought more would be revealed, but then the pace picked up again and I was left wanting more depth.

The biggest issue that I have with the story is that there were too many unanswered questions by the time the story ended. I had questions about Samantha’s father and his situation and why it took so long for her to figure things out about him. Why did Samantha’s mom want her daughter to live a “normal” life, but chose to tell her son about his heritage as a witch? These and other questions filled my mind as I read, and I kept hoping they would be answered. However, when Darkness Within ended, I found myself wishing there had been more detail and background information to round the story out.

Despite this issue, I thought Darkness Within was a good read. The plot was interesting and unique, and Samantha is certainly a sweetheart. Since the story is short and fast paced, it is possible to enjoy it in a single sitting. Anyone looking for a quick, entertaining paranormal YA romance should consider Darkness Within.

The gloss is off Brent’s relationship with Tyler; the real man is showing through and his inside does not match the outside. Tyler’s handsome and glamorous, but that’s no longer enough to overcome his selfishness. Brent’s got a better chance of teaching a cat to sit and stay than of convincing Tyler to be thoughtful, and it’s time to stop trying.

No longer distracted by appearances, a newly single Brent is finally ready to notice the considerate, steadfast man who’s been part of the background too long.

Training a lover is like training a cat…almost impossible.

First off, I want to say I saw the title and knew I had to nab this book. Then I read the blurb. I wasn’t thrilled with the characters in the little bit I gleaned from the blurb, but it didn’t stop me. Did I say the title snagged me? Yes, it was the title that kept me wanting to read the book.

I’m glad I read Training Cats.

The writing in this story, though occasionally flawed, flowed well enough that I never wanted to put the book down. I raced through the story wanting–needing–to know what would happen next. I thought about the characters when I had to put it down because I couldn’t keep my eyes open. Why? Brett and Ethan aren’t typical men. They have issues and circumstances that not everyone would be in.

Brett puts up with a lot. I mean, a LOT. It’s like his patience is almost too good to be true. Too bad life doesn’t want that for him.

Then there’s Ethan. The guy is creative and patient as well. He’s waiting for a change is so calm while he does this waiting. I don’t know if I’d have been so calm, but that’s me. The antagonist is pleasantly slimy. I had no troubles disliking him, and there was more of the feeling of wanting to give him a shake. But I loved how things came together. The build up was great and timed well. Oh and Monster? He’s the best part because I could totally identify with the freaked out, I’m-in-a-new-home-and-scared feelings he has. Great cat!

On the surface, Jesse Ross is an average guy in an average relationship with his college sweetheart, Adele. But what his girlfriend doesn’t know is that he’s having an affair—with a man—and exploring his sexuality in ways she never could imagine. His compartmentalized life suits Jesse just fine, and he has no intention of coming out of the closet either as a bisexual or as a submissive.

However, Jesse takes a tumble when his Master, Will, admits to wanting more, wanting Jesse as his partner, not just his submissive. Suddenly Jesse’s conveniently pieced-together life isn’t quite so comfortable. In the end, Jesse has to lay it all on the line—for his girlfriend, for his lover, and for himself.

Infidelity is devastating to all parties involved, but when someone feels as if they are forced to surprise a part of themselves, it can sometimes surface at any moment.

Jesse’s fiancé does not know that he has been hiding a dark secret about himself for years. To deny his need to be dominated would be to deny a part of himself, but Jesse knows that Adel would never understand this desire, especially if she knew that it was a man who forced Jess to his knees whenever possible.

While I do not think cheating is ever a answer to a problem, the story was written in a way that allowed me to realize that Jesse was just as much the victim of his love affair as his fiancé and Master Will. He has desires that he knew his Adele would not understand or accept and his male pride would not allow him to disappoint the woman he has loved for all of his adult life. Additionally, it was clear to me that he and Will where two kindred souls who found their way to one another.

I absolutely loved the conflict between the “play” side of Will and Jesse’s relationship as well as the romantic side. I was happy to see that things did not just fall into place as it does in some other stories. This made the relationship more believable and that much more cherished in the end. This was a couple that I knew would stay together forever as long as they continued to develop their relationship together and remain open to one another.

Another Way has a very large BDSM aspect and touches on a few areas of the lifestyle. There is a scene where Will and Jesse bring others into the play, and while there is no sex involved there are these high arousal moments. Additionally, there are pain play scenes which, though done extremely tastefully, may be difficult for the squeamish to handle. Personally I enjoyed every moment of the BDSM portion of this story. I wish this had been a full length book because I think the author truly captured the trust and devotion that goes along with a BDSM relationship. I would have definitely read it.

I would recommend this story to anyone whom appreciates a good BDSM story that remains true to the lifestyle.

When her four year old daughter informs her a sick man is in their yard, Honor Gillette rushes out to help him. But that “sick” man turns out to be Lee Coburn, the man accused of murdering seven people the night before. Dangerous, desperate, and armed, he promises Honor that she and her daughter won’t be hurt as long as she does everything he asks. She has no choice but to accept him at his word.

But Honor soon discovers that even those close to her can’t be trusted. Coburn claims that her beloved late husband possessed something extremely valuable that places Honor and her daughter in grave danger. Coburn is there to retrieve it — at any cost. From FBI offices in Washington, D.C., to a rundown shrimp boat in coastal Louisiana, Coburn and Honor run for their lives from the very people sworn to protect them, and unravel a web of corruption and depravity that threatens not only them, but the fabric of our society.

Sandra Brown excels in ratcheting up the tension and keeping it high in her books, and Lethal is no exception. When friends are traitors and the bad guy isn’t … when you don’t know who to trust, or where to turn… when everyone is armed and dangerous, then the book is a page turner.

When Honor Gillette and her young daughter are taken hostage by the blood-covered Lee Coburn, accused mass murderer, she’s understandably terrified. The book starts with a bang and never lets up. I thought I knew who the bad guys were and who the good guys were and I was constantly being surprised. It’s full of action and suspense and a couple of mysteries that are nearly impossible for me (or the characters) to figure out.

The romance is secondary to the suspense, and while it’s there – the emotional and the physical – it’s definitely on the back burner. Still, even though I have a preference for a stronger romance, Ms. Brown’s skill kept me hooked and I had to know how the book ended. I was completely entertained.

If you like more suspense than romance in your romantic suspense, I heartily recommend this book. While it may not have thoroughly satisfied the romantic in me, the thriller lover in me was absolutely enthralled.

Who can you trust?

Betrayed by his brother and his childhood love, Brice Kinross needs a fresh start. So he welcomes the opportunity to leave Sweden for the Scottish Highlands to take over the family estate.

But there’s trouble afoot at Rosyth in 1754 and Brice finds himself unwelcome. The estate’s in ruin and money is disappearing. He discovers an ally in Marsaili Buchanan, the beautiful redheaded housekeeper, but can he trust her?

Marsaili is determined to build a good life. She works hard at being housekeeper and harder still at avoiding men who want to take advantage of her. But she’s irresistibly drawn to the new clan chief, even though he’s made it plain he doesn’t want to be shackled to anyone.

And the young laird has more than romance on his mind. His investigations are stirring up an enemy. Someone who will stop at nothing to get what he wants – including Marsaili – even if that means destroying Brice’s life forever …

In mid-eighteenth-century Scotland, the people still suffer under an oppressive rule of England. When Brice Kinross arrives from Sweden to take charge of his property, Rosyth House, he sees a big change since his childhood years when he spent much time at the then-prosperous estate.

Brice Kinross, seasoned and rich from years in the China Trade, arrives from Sweden with a broken heart or, more appropriately, a bitter heart. The girl he’d planned to marry married his brother.

Marsaili Buchanan, an illegitimate daughter of Ailsa Kinross’s dead husband, is the capable housekeeper at Rosyth. Colin Seton intimidates the sickly Ailsa who has no ability or inclination to see that the estate is properly managed. Seton has ruled Rosyth House for over a decade–looking out for his own interests at the expense of the estate that he has been entrusted with.

When Brice shows up incognito, he sees many discrepancies in information sent to his father about the estate and what is actually going on. He does some secret reconnoitering while there as a stranger so when he returns as the true owner, he is on alert. Liath, Marsaili’s deer hound, little Archie who knows much about what goes on, and a few of the people who remember Brice from his childhood days at Rosyth prove to be invaluable to Brice as conflicts boil up. Also, Brice’s knowledge about crops, stock, and the secret passageways in the house serve him well,

Seton sees his plan to continue using Rosyth House funds to buy his family’s old estate back becoming impossible unless he gets rid of the “meddling” owner. He ruthlessly uses his power over the people at Rosyth House, his connection with the deranged English Captain Sherringham who still hunts suspected Jacobites, and the outlaw MacGregors to do away with Brice and to force Marsaili to yield to his demands

Upon the arrival of Brice’s friends, Ramsey and Alex, new facets of the story begin to unfold—in romance and in life-threatening conflicts. The action picks up to a fever pace, while the undeclared love Brice and Marsaili have for each other becomes a mighty force in the plot and also becomes the balm that heals old wounds, reaffirms self-worth, dispels doubts, and gives them courage to acknowledge their love and find their happy-ever-after.

Christine Courtenay sweeps the reader into the story with tense moments for Marsaili then weaves a plot that looks like an impossible tangle of events and emotional hang-ups.. Her amazing untangling of it all, so that good wins over evil and the hero and heroine realize their true love holds the reader’s attention from start to finish.

Come join a meeting of the First Love Cookie Club!

“On Christmas Eve, if you sleep with kismet cookies under your pillow and dream of your own true love, he will be your destiny.”

Carrie MacGregor doesn’t believe this—not one bit. She might be a “paid up” member of the Cookie Club and the local Sweethearts Knitting Club, but she’s not about to give in to the forced ho-ho-ho of the season. And why? Mark Leland. When he left town he broke Carrie’s heart. Now, the local-guy-made good is back, hosting the reality show “Fact or Fantasy.”

Fact: Mark broke her heart. Fantasy: her friends think they’ll be getting back together. But could the magic of a Twilight, Texas Christmas make Carrie’s secret dreams come true?

Return to Twilight, Texas where high school sweethearts find their happily ever after. Twilight’s legend continues and brings two more sweethearts together over the holidays.

Carrie MacGregor hates Christmas; she is Scrooge and the Grinch rolled up into one. Christmas represents lost love, dashed hopes and a broken heart to Carrie, her mother passed away five Christmases ago from ALS and eight years ago Carrie’s high school sweetheart and husband of two days walked away from her during the holidays. Carrie’s mantra to get through this year’s holidays is no fuss, no tears, no drama and no memories, and then she is told that her lost love, Mark Leland, is finally returning to Twilight and Carrie knows her mantra isn’t going to be enough to get through this holiday season.

Mark Leland left Twilight eight years ago leaving behind his high school sweetheart and wife of two days to go off to college and never looked back. Mark has changed considerably over the last eight years, he has gone from the provincial farm kid from Twilight to Los Angeles’ next up and coming reality television show host. When Mark arrives back in Twilight, he is instantly reminded of what he left behind or, more accurately, who he left behind: Carrie MacGregor, the only woman he has ever loved and he can’t help but think maybe he should have tried harder to keep her eight years ago. Ms. Wilde’s The Christmas Cookie Chronicles: Carrie, is a heartwarming holiday read injected with Wilde’s distinctive humor and loaded with genuine emotion. Like Ms. Wilde’s other Twilight stories, she continues to take her readers on an emotional journey with both of her main characters who struggle with their feelings of lost love and how they rekindle the magic between them. I really liked Carrie in this story because, even though she puts up a tough front, I saw her as loving individual who sacrificed her own feelings in order to protect those people who were important to her. Mark, the hero of this tale, is one of those guys that you can’t help but fall a little in love with, even though he has made some dumb choices over the years, you know he truly loves Carrie and he has finally grown up and figured it out.

Ms. Wilde’s writing is superb. Considering the length of this novella, she managed to tell a wonderful love story and was able to bring back some of the hilarious characters from previous Twilight series. The plot was well laid out and kept me turning the pages to find out what would happen next. Both the heroine and hero were well developed characters with great chemistry. Wilde’s dialogue as always was believable, humorous and emotional. The absolute best part of this story was the ending, so very romantic and touching that it brought a tear to my eye.

Pick up the perfect holiday read, Lori Wilde’s The Christmas Cookies Chronicles: Carrie, and curl up in front of the fireplace with some hot cocoa and spend an afternoon in Twilight, you’ll be glad you did! For those of you who have never read one of Lori Wilde’s books from her Twilight, Texas series you are in for a treat, if you have, this fun holiday read will reacquaint you with some old characters and introduce you to a few new ones you will fall in love with.

Sophie’s doctoral thesis stated magic was a psychosomatic phenomenon. Few took her seriously–she had a family reputation for strangeness and pointed ears to live down. In her research, she ran into Kevyn at a science fiction convention. When strange things happened, she slowly realized that she wasn’t going insane–magic was real.

Kevyn was a Fae trying to avoid family traditions. He lived on the run in the Human realms, making his living as a day actor, staying under the radar. On an acting gig at a convention, he met up with Sophie and realized that she could not only see through his magic, she had magic. When Hunters showed up to drag Kevyn home and make him become an Advocate, he let Sophie capture him and take him home for research, thereby rescuing him from a fate worse than death — respectability and responsibility. Somewhere along the way, the lines between researcher and lab rat became blurred, then switched places, and the two of them discovered a magic of their own, and rescued each other.

She blinded me with Science, part of the ‘All’s Fae in Love and Chocolate Series’, by Michelle L. Levigne is a fun and fast-paced romp through a contemporary setting faintly affected by fairy-land. Fluff though it sounds, the challenge–and the emotions–are all too real.

Sophie Hunter sets out to prove, logically of course, why the belief in magic is psychosomatic. The effects and impacts of belief actually make things happen. This idea is central to her thesis. He reprised his role of Jack Sparrow in the Pirates sequels, Dead Man’s Chest (2006), At World’s End (2007) viagra without prescriptions uk and On Stranger Tides (2011). viagra samples no prescription Reveal the cause of all diseases and let you enjoy life easily. Not everyone will agree with her. If some people can’t take her seriously just because of her pointy ears, that’s hardly her fault! If her thesis can gain her approval, she just might get a grant.

Kevyn, on the other hand, not only believes in magic but shamelessly uses it. He avoids the magical realm though, enamored as he is with Hollywood: right up until he’s caught by Sophie. If there is one thing her thesis lacks, it’s proof: and here he is. So, what’s a little kidnapping among friends? She does supply him with plenty of donuts…but what neither of them can predict might just harm both of them.

For background, we discover that Fae laws govern human interactions … but the interactions themselves can prove too tantalizing to resist. Ah, the magic of a diet cherry coke, never mind chocolate! This great little romance has a bit of everything, but discovering the lives of the Fae is the best. Not only can they eat a lot – ordinary tonic is enough to make them drunk!

Magic becomes something new and vastly different in Ms. Levigne’s imaginative hands: magic that is full of color, arrives in a thunderclap, and can be yanked out from someone like pulling a rug out from underneath them.

This is quick, light-hearted and full of great Sci-Fi references, and is a truly fresh, fun take on magical powers. Do read!

I love a good MM story. One that draws me in and makes me want to know more about the characters. This book’s blurb snagged me. I wanted to know how the author would pull the story together in such a short amount of pages. I have to say it was hot. The interplay between the characters was HAWT. There were just a couple of things that held me back a bit from really enjoying the story. I loved the intensity of the emotions in this book. Draven is man who has lived his life with honor and pride. He has always done what was right, which has not always set well with others who do not care about honor. Watching him try to deal with Rick and his interference with his mate was a good read.

Wyatt may be a mortal but that does not make him less of a man. He is a strong man who is more than ready to fight for what he wants, and what he wants is Draven. It was nice to see the spark between these two turn into something more as the story progressed. Draven and Wyatt are a great couple. Both men care deeply for the other and are not afraid to show it. The love that they share quickly becomes apparent as the story goes on. Draven needs a strong man like Wyatt to stand at his side and fight along with him.

I was so engrossed with this story that I read it in one sitting. The author takes the reader for a wonderful ride into the world of werewolves and their mates. I enjoyed my time in this world and will gladly return with the next book.
