Maggie O’Brien is thrilled when she lands a starring role on the Digital Vampire Network’s hottest soap opera, As the Vampire Turns. Doesn’t hurt that her leading man is Don Orlando de Corazon, the greatest lover in the vampire world! But who is Don Orlando really? Nobody knows, not even Don Orlando. As the couple sets out in search of his mysterious past, “home for the holidays” takes on a new meaning when the recently-turned vamp discovers his own Christmas miracle.

Reading A Very Vampy Christmas should come with a warning for funny bones everywhere. Even after re-reading the story, I still giggled and guffawed. The only reason I was affected so effectively was because of the quality writing. So even when I knew what to expect, the perfect comedic timing still came through making those clever parts continuously grin-worthy.

The first hint that I had that Ms. Sparks had written a light and entertaining tale was the ring incident. Good thing I wasn’t drinking at the time. My sudden urge to laugh uproariously would have had dire consequences for my laptop.

Then the author switched gears after hooking me with humor. She delved into both their histories and their hearts by exploring both Maggie’s and Don Orlando’s points of view. Talk about star crossed lovers! At that point, Ms. Sparks presented me with two people who very much needed love but had no idea how to go about it. They both harbored secrets and insecurities and at that point in the story, I couldn’t wait until it was revealed as to how they were going to accomplish getting beyond them. Of course, it didn’t help with Maggie shouting at Don Orlando, “I’m not your banana!” That made getting the two of them together quite the challenge. I’m glad to say, the author was more than up for the task because at the end of one chapter, she had Don Orlando drop a bombshell. I never saw that one coming and it was so gripping!

The next thing I knew, I was feeling sad and sorry for both Maggie and Don Orlando. They both had hurts. The best thing, however, is how they banded together to figure it out how to fix things. They rose to the challenge, taking them both on an amazing journey of discovery and revelation. And after a bit of uncertainty and light drama, Ms. But thanks for the constant advancement of research in medical science, there’s an amazing breakthrough and now you can buy “generic viagra online donssite.com” or the viagra at the best price using our discount coupons. She made me laugh and giggle when I least expected it. And she brought in one of the hunky guys from McKay Security and Investigation. I love it when characters from other books come and play too. This sentence totally cracked me up, “I’m 479 years old, ye moron.” Vampires can be so much fun.

Of course the mystery of just exactly who Don Orlando was ended up being the icing on the cake. Poor guy, his first name as a vampire was very embarrassing but adorable. Then I got to meet, Scarlett and Tootsie–secondary characters guaranteed to have readers grinning from ear to ear. I have often wondered where the author comes up with all the goofiness and hilarity she infuses her stories with. It’s a riot and I love it! I mean, there’s this serious part where he says, “…they murdered me!” the reply was, “So, you were having a bad day.” How does anyone expect me to keep a straight face with witty repartee like that?

Things did get serious for a bit, so readers will find plenty of meat and substance to hold the story together. It was good enough to keep my interest and have me rooting for the hero. He had lost so much in his life and the goal of the plot was to get it back and be worthy of loving Maggie. What great motivation! Eventually I got to find out who Don Orlando really was, where he came from and what a very unusual family he has. In fact, that brought about more laughs and smiles as well as happiness. All’s well that ends well –with a grin and a kiss.

A Very Vampy Christmas is chock full of laughs, good feelings, spicy encounters and a satisfying happily ever after that will leave fans pleased and content. It’s hard to believe that this was a short story because so much was packed into it. I enjoyed the dialogue and the secondary characters. I thrilled to the protagonists’ quick declarations of love and enjoyed the clever way Ms. Sparks wrapped it all up. If a reader is looking to treat themselves to holiday cheer, this adorable paranormal romance will do the trick.

Once upon a time…the Blood Sorcerer vanquished the kingdom of Elden. To save their children, the queen scattered them to safety and the king filled them with vengeance. Only a magical timepiece connects the four royal heirs…and time is running out.…

As the dark Lord who condemns souls to damnation in the Abyss, Micah is nothing but a feared monster wrapped in impenetrable black armor. He has no idea he is the last heir of Elden, its last hope. Only one woman knows—the daughter of his enemy.

Liliana is nothing like her father, the Blood Sorcerer who’d cursed Micah. She sees past Micah’s armor to the prince inside. A prince whose sinful touch she craves. But first she has to brave his dark, dangerous lair and help him remember.

Because they only have till midnight to save Elden.

I can’t believe the series is at and end with Lord of the Abyss, and I can’t even say they’ve saved the best for last because they were all awesome in their own unique way. This story of the last child of the king and queen was the most poignant and sweet. His saving and redemption had a higher importance than saving the kingdom and reuniting with his siblings. Micah’s story is also the most challenging of them all because unlike the rest, he has no family memories of any kind to trigger; he was too young when the Blood Sorcerer attacked all those years ago. But some things do seem to make their mark even in ones so tender in age and Ms. Singh’s use of those kinds of triggers was accurate, interesting and adorable.

The heroine turns out to be the most exciting of them all. She has to overcome not only her heritage but her visage. Ms. Singh is a genius because she reversed the Beauty and the Beast story and made it her own. Liliana’s father is the worst sort imaginable and even knowing that didn’t prepare me for how cruel, heartless and twisted he turned out to be. Lily, as Micah calls her, is actually a gem of a person with a heart of gold. Despite all that was done to her growing up, she kept her purity of heart intact. How she did it, I can’t even fathom. A lesser woman would have withered and died years ago, but a weak woman would never have had the gumption to tackle the Lord of the Abyss on his own turf.

I wanted to cuddle a big teddy bear or something as this story unfolded. Not because it was scary, though there is plenty of drama and suspense to grab a reader’s emotions. But because I couldn’t hug Micah. His character was written so well, I could feel the dearth of happiness in his life, his confusion when Lily started chipping away at the hardness of his heart and the small kernels of joy that he experienced while he slowly but surely fell in love with Lily. Out of all the books in the series, Micah is my favorite because in his reawakening, he was adorable. generico levitra on line Both the active ingredients are PDE5 inhibitors. His enthusiasm was childlike – yet he was all man. His first forays into trusting another person were beautiful and heartwarming yet he was wise to know when not to trust someone. And he wasn’t afraid to explore the physical side of what was blossoming between him and Lily. He had great focus and stamina which made him an exciting partner for Lily. Before Micah, she’d been pretty much ignored or ‘tolerated’ and she also didn’t trust easily. Micah’s loving the heroine healed her right back. It was beautiful to watch.

The main overall story arc, the reclamation of the City of Elden, doesn’t take center stage as I thought it might. Nor were there any big productions of the siblings banning together in one big coordinated siege against the Blood Sorcerer. It just was. I was pleasantly surprised that the book continued the tradition of this series and remained a perfect standalone read. Its primary focus was on the bumps and bruises of the growing relationship between Micah and Liliana. The resolving of the overall conflict does get dealt with in a most satisfactory way but the author perfectly balanced it with the romance between the two main protagonists. It’s a well told tale that tied up all the loose ends and insured a reader’s belief that all the children of the old king and queen of Elden have achieved their happily ever afters in a kingdom freed of evil and torment.

Lord of the Abyss defines what makes a fairy tale stand the test of time. It has Good triumphing over a seemingly undefeatable evil and the hero gets the girl. But just when I thought there could be no more surprises, Ms. Singh saved the best for last. It was an awesome little twist and quite humorous in its delivery. This story is romantic, delightful and gripping. My emotions were engaged, the characters well developed and even the secondary characters of the castle were full of charm and personality. That includes the mouse. I’m sad to see the end of what has turned out to be the most entertaining trilogy I’ve read in a long time. I highly recommend the Royal House of Shadows series to readers and fans of paranormal or fantasy romances. It’s pure satisfaction and entertainment.

Almost a century ago, Angela Lavigne and Alpha werewolf Knox had a shared passion neither could control. Then Angela was turned into a vampire and disappeared.

The last thing Knox expects is for Angela to show up on his doorstep on a rescue mission, as sexy and irresistible as ever. And he can sense how much she still wants him, too. She’s gone against both their species’ rules and trespassed on his land. By law he can keep her as long as he wants–and Knox doesn’t intend to let her go ever again.

As their desire explodes once again, Knox is more sure than ever that he must claim her forever. But as vampire and werewolf, they are natural born enemies. Can she truly be his destined mate?

‘Twilight’ has it wrong. Apparently, werewolves metabolisms aren’t as fast as we were led to believe because Angela, our leading lady, manages to drop them, quite skillfully I might add, with tranquilizers as she breaks into their compound to rescue her friend. Despite that, she still manages to get herself caught and finds herself right back in the arms of the love of her life (who she has been hiding from for 90 years). The only problem? He is a werewolf, the leader of the largest pack of werewolves in North America, and she is a vampire. Talk about racial differences.

This book drops you right smack in the middle of some fast action and then proceeds to run you right into some hot, steamy sex scenes. And if that wasn’t enough, you get thrown right back into some action. This author keeps it coming non-stop and, at only sixty-one pages, I had the story finished before my heartbeat slowed back down. What are digestive enzyme supplements? When Angela was turned into a vampire she disappeared from Knox’s life before he could realize what she had become. Since he harbored a personal hate for vampires, Angela was afraid he wouldn’t accept her for what she was. Now, nearly a century later, the two come face to face again and must confront their feelings. With the history between the two main characters, the action and the romance are both believable and very fast paced, and kept me involved in the story from the very beginning. Angela’s reticence is also realistic. She’s spent ninety years believing one thing, only to be told and expected to believe without a doubt, something else in a very short time span.

With such a short story, we don’t get much more than a glimpse of other characters in the plot, but the main characters are very well drawn and intriguing enough that they hold your attention. Knox is a sexy, dominant man who is determined to win back the only woman he ever considered making his mate, and Angela is a cautious but intelligent and willful woman. She is willing to let Knox have the upper hand, but only if it suits her.

From the beginning you can tell how strongly these two felt about each other back when they were in a relationship, and ninety years later it’s just as obvious that their feelings haven’t changed. Those feelings have also never been dealt with by either of them. The author manages to convey all of this very skillfully, without drowning us in back story.

Destined Mate flows so smoothly that I was turning the last page before I even realized that I was at the end. With the vampire/werewolf politics, the hint of the possibility of war brewing on the horizon, the passionate exchanges between Knox and Angela and the non-stop action (whether romantic, political or physical), this book kept me hooked and made me a fan of this author and this series. More please.

Workaholic TV producer Dylan Ives believes former singing sensation Syrene Malcolm holds the clue to finding his kidnapped son. A lost child herself, Syrene cares about the missing boy even though Dylan’s personality is nothing short of rude. But Syrene refuses to unleash her dangerous siren’s voice, even for a man who is impossible to deny…

This story really took me out of my element and made me experience things I have never encountered before as a reader. I say this because I usually read erotic romance and the slow, smooth burning love you in this sensual love story was new territory. I never knew how enjoyable reading a true romance novel could be until now.

Oz does not have anything in particular that normally would attract me to a hero (I’m a big fan of super alpha men), yet I still found myself mesmerized by his character. I am not sure if it is his refusal to take no for an answer or that he is a devoted father willing to do whatever it takes to get his son back, but Oz wormed his way into my heart. Most of us have known at least one person whom we did not find attractive at first but the more you learn about them to more attractive they seem, until eventually, you just cannot help but want them and that is exactly what Oz did to Syrene and me.

Syrene’s story is one that I sympathized with. viagra store in canada Regular use of Shilajit improves stamina, energy and strength naturally. Syrene’s need for privacy forces her to sometimes forget what makes her happy and I just wanted to see a glimmer of excitement within her. This need for privacy is further exacerbated when Oz shows up and destroys the little bit of a normal life she has created for herself. As an introvert, myself I can completely understand why Syrene would want to have her privacy honored and not be in the spotlight. I do not envy her situation one bit, but I knew she would do what was best for everyone even if it meant having to feel uncomfortable for a while.

The relationship between Oz and Syrene is a slow burn, which made it that much more infectious and enchanting. If nothing else keeps the pages turning the love / hate relationship of these characters will. Despite their appearance of being complete oppposites, the was an attraction between them that ensured a happy ever after, especially with the support of the other characters. I know their love will survive and their relationship will never be dull since they both have such strong personalities

This story is lovely and populated with amazing characters who would make any reader want to follow their story even after they read the last page of this book.

Ami isn’t much for trusting strangers. She has a hard time trusting anyone. But she’s no coward, and she’s no pushover in the protection department either. So when she comes across a mysterious warrior taking on eight deranged vampires on his own, she doesn’t hesitate to save his bacon. Of course, that was before she realized what one little rescue would get her into…

Marcus Graden has been an Immortal protector of humanity for eight hundred years, and he’s not interested in backup. From the moment Ami arrives in his life, he can’t deny that she’s strong, smart, and extremely skilled at watching his back. But she’s also destroying his protective solitude and stirring desires he can’t bear to awaken. After all, whatever her secrets—how can she defeat death itself?

I enjoy reading about a woman who defies the odds and expectations of others; to not only wow the other characters in a book, but stuns and amazes a reader too. Ms. Duvall does all that and more in the second installment of her hard hitting but cheeky Immortal Guardian series.

Night Reigns gave me not only another great tale but a surprising twist at the three quarters mark that knocked my socks off. Never could I have imagined where the story would take me, certainly not what was revealed! Because of this new slant, Night Reigns ends up being a clever, unique, and brilliantly executed book that readers will appreciate. Paranormal fans are going to be thrilled at the novel direction Ms. Duvall has taken because it breathes new life into what we think we know about vampires and their battles, and their origins.

When I refer to ‘cheeky’, I’m talking about the underlying sense of humor and fun the main characters have with their friends, amongst themselves and with other secondary characters. The author did an amazing job of infusing personality and emotion into the story and her placement of when she has the protagonist’s joking around seemed real, timely and very natural. It made the hero and heroine very likable and insured that I’d be very interested in the secondary characters when their turn to be in the spotlight arrives. Believe me, Ms. Duvall has peppered her tales with secondary characters well-rounded enough to inspire a commitment from me to read about every one of the amazing men who make up the team of Immortal Guardians. There were wonderful hints of conflict, of men who resist love or don’t think it’ll ever happen to them. Not in their line of ‘work’.

My favorite cheekiness is between the hero, Marcus and the heroine, Ami. Their flirting was thoroughly entertaining and the repartee quick and witty. Even when the drama and suspense had me biting my nails, it wasn’t overly dark or depressing. The conflict was solid and well thought out.

Ami was the biggest surprise for me. She had been through so much horror in her life that to find her willing to stand by her man, once she admits he is her man, even though it meant facing a fear that practically crippled her, was an amazing journey of growth. One that completely engaged me. Despite all the reasons she has to mistrust people, she doesn’t shy away from learning all she can to be the best she can be.

Marcus on the other hand, is at first, a jerk. He’s not actually written that way but from what I could tell from the other secondary characters, he had a certain reputation. They respected him, thought fondly of him, when they didn’t want to whap him upside the head, and they feared for him. The chemical promotes smooth blood circualtion lowest prices viagra to the male sex organ. If you are suffering from sample of viagra any kind of nagging medical concerns like continuous nauseating conditions, dizziness and headaches or stomach ache, then you can certainly start consuming Ginseng. He was in a dark place in his life when the story opened. His healing journey and his eventual opening up of his heart was wonderfully done. He certainly was and is an effective Guardian, and I’d trust him to guard me anytime, but he had a long way to go to brush up on his ‘people’ skills.

The one person who kept him in line, for the most part, was Seth. He’s sort of a father figure, mentor and boss. He’s also one of those fascinating secondary characters I referred to earlier. There’s something about him that is quite intriguing. He’s a mystery. However, in Night Reigns, the author laid the groundwork for some very thought provoking possibilities that begs further exploration. If the author’s intentions were to hook a reader on future books, she was successful. Add Roland and Chris into the mix and there’s plenty of deliciousness, conflict and interest to go around. On top of that are Darnell and David – more characters that make up the Guardian community. At times, while reading, I felt like I was in a candy store. So many choices to choose from — who will Ms. Duvall write about next? I can’t wait to find out!

My immediate satisfaction was guaranteed at least with Marcus and Ami. Before the protagonists hit the sheets, Ms. Duvall seduced my brain earlier on with a wonderful sensual buildup. That’s one of the things that were so great about this story. When the heat between the two finally combusted, the author’s use of language made it crystal clear how satisfying the physical relationship was between them. Even the happily ever after was romantic and sentimental. But not too sappy; the other Guardians made sure of that. One of my favorite giggles came from what Marcus imagined to make his point with Seth. I had fun.

Night Reigns is another jewel from the talented Ms. Duvall. This story is action packed with sultry shenanigans and diabolical bad guys, guaranteeing readers a book filled with adventure and romance. Marcus and Ami are a great couple and watching them fall in love was completely entertaining and fun. The ideas are fresh and the story arc more complex than at first believed. I suspect that Ms. Duvall has more surprises up her sleeve for characters and readers alike. I want to be first in line for her next book because this series is just that good.

Wanted by the Gestapo, Rebecca Bloomberg is on the run for her life. Sheltering in the home of a reporter who writes absurd lies for a Nazi propaganda newspaper is hardly an ideal solution. Irresistibly drawn to the man, she dares not trust him, until she discovers his journalist position is a mask for involvement in an anti-Nazi resistance ring.

Gustav Von Furst has done all he can to perfect his mask. Neither his family nor his close friends know the truth. Hiding a Jewish girl is the most foolish risk, yet there is something about her that makes him want to protect her.

Eager to forget the outside world, Rebecca and Gustav are caught up in a private world of forbidden passion—until unexpected danger lands on their doorstep and they’re faced with a decision that will change everything. Will love demand a sacrifice too great to give?

This poignant love story, set in one of the most troubled times of modern of history, is not only about unswerving love, but also about the psychological subjugation of a people to the point that they are willing to commit genocide. The atrocities of mob-mentality sparked by Hitler create a setting for this historical romance.

Rebecca Bloomberg, the pretty, intelligent, outgoing daughter of a Jewish banker, lives a life of privilege until Nazism creeps in taking away her family, friends, money, home and everything until she is alone, vulnerable and despised as one of what Hitler labeled an inferior race of people. She is fair game to be raped and defiled if caught out on the streets. To keep from starving, she ventures into the street, is attacked, but wakes up in a nice, comfortable German home. She is conflicted but grateful to be alive.

Gustavo von Furst, the man Rebecca labeled a gorgeous blond giant the first time she saw him, wears a swastika and greets others with “Heil Hitler”. Rebecca’s sojourn with Gustav and his grandmother creates a story that transports and grips one’s emotions in most unusual ways. What is morally right and what is lawfully right becomes a big issue–just how much is one willing to risk to save another person. Rebecca, who feels guilty for what she is putting her rescuers through, feels like she is in a “Beautiful Cage” because showing herself even at a window could bring torture and death to them all—but she craves the sun, fresh air, freedom.

The double agents, unsure alliances and clandestine doings keep the reader’s heart rate at top speed much of the time. Many of the secondary characters like those who frequent Martin’s Bar and the secretive Dietrich keep the reader guessing. However, the most compelling of the secondary characters are those in the back stories within the main story. They add depth, intrigue, and heartbreaking details. The true history woven into the story makes it seem real.

Alyson Reuben’s compelling, beautiful, heartfelt writing style brings to life a time in history that changed the world while she weaves in an incredible, forever love story of a disenfranchised Jewish girl and her gorgeous blond giant. Their love disregards ethnic borders and wins against tremendous odds to bring them to their happy-ever-after (with a special bonus) far from the misery they had endured.

A BEAUTIFUL CAGE is a memorable story.

Ryland Thomas has spent his entire existence alone, and he likes it that way. But when he stumbles across MacKayla taking down a rogue vampire, his world is changed. Now his every instinct demands that he protect Mac. With someone else pulling her stings, it won’t be easy.

Head-strong woman with a nose for trouble, vampire used to being alone—they are in for the fight of their lives. Mac and Ryland might just survive their meeting if they can band together to fight the real monster in their lives…

Forbidden love can be sweetened by the excitement of danger and the fear of being caught. This is especially true when it involves a vampire hunter such as MacKayla and her vampire lover Ryland. For Mac and Ryland the stakes are even higher, because if Mac’s family finds out it will result in instant death for both of them.

I am a long time fan of a strong female role whether it be stories, movies, or real life and Mac is definitely a strong female. Ryland is everything a woman can want in a hunky man. He has the arrogance but not to the point of pig headedness. He also has the ability to bring out a dark desire within Mac that we readers love to hear about in a vampire novel. He also has a need to protect those he cares for, which in this case can be a bit difficult since Mac feels the need to protect him just as fiercely.

The journey I was taken on was one that drew me in and keep me interested the entire ride. Especially Mac and her relationship with her family whether it be those trying to force her into compromising situation or those she feels she need to protect no matter what. The relationship development just made it even sweeter. The author even squeezed in a few more interesting secondary characters that I am interested in learning more about in case she decides to add additional stories later down the line.

This short and sweet story is one I’m sure you’ll enjoy and will leave you wanting more.

Ms. Silverwood has a writing style that is a pleasure to read. Iron Dominance moves at a quick pace with nary a lull, making the book impossible to put down. Although the book is a BDSM romance, emotion is the foundation of the story. Suspense builds tension between the protagonists, especially as Claire is forced to come clean about her past and trust Theo to understand her motivations.

Fans of steampunk will devour Iron Dominance. Those curious about this new genre in erotic romance need look no further.

Monday Spotlight: Changeling Press

You’ve probably seen the promo — “Win Free Books For A Year — Our A Very Changeling 8th Annual Christmas Contest just got bigger and better than ever!”
So why do we run a Christmas give-away? We started our very first Christmas, looking for a way to give something back. Yes, we could have done chocolate or teas or even day spas, but it seemed like our readers would love what we love — Christmas stories! We asked authors to come up with a Christmas short story for a series we called Hot Toddies. Many of these stories became part of our first paperback anthology, A Changeling For All Seasons, which is now available in our ebook collection, as well.

Since that first Christmas in 2004, we’ve kept up with the tradition, offering a dozen (some times a bakers’ dozen!) Christmas stories every year and a chance to win free books for a year. Each year has a theme — Hot Toddies, 12 Nights of Christmas, Stocking Stuffers, Christmas Cookies, Gingersnaps, Holiday Howlz, and Sugarplums, as well as this year’s White Hot Christmas. You can see all the Christmases past and present (OK, BAD pun!) at ChangelingPress.com under Christmas!

Last year we introduced a new twist, thanks to Tony, our Web Guru. Erika leads a quiet life—at least in the real world. But her alter-ego, Little Lottie, is a singer at a local club and engages in a wild online romance. For months she’s been communicating with a mysterious man, known only to her as the Phantom.

Her lover contacts her via texts, emails and instant messages. When he offers to fulfill her desires in real life, she can’t refuse. The only condition to meeting for their sizzling assignations—he wears a mask to hide his true identity. Despite his reluctance to reveal himself to Erika, he tears down her inhibitions and unleashes her suppressed passions, taking possession of her body and soul.

Erika may have finally found the one man who can sate her every longing…if only he would show her the man behind the mask.

Do look matter or can you really fall in love with someone without knowing anything more than the sound of their voice? Can you really know everything about a person without meeting them in person?

Erika has fallen madly in love with her online chatting partner, Phantom. He is everything she is looking for in a man, except she has no idea what he actually looks like. Erika, a shy reserved girl, doesn’t see this as a bad thing, since she has secrets too. But the questions keep coming and she doesn’t know if not knowing is such a good thing or not anymore. When her love is revealed to her will she find that he is everything she has been looking for or will he be lacking compared to her fantasies?

Cris has been in love with Erika since he first saw her perform as Lottie in a role play club. But Cris has a past, one that he can’t seem to shake, and he fears this past will make Erika run from him. Can this fear make it impossible for Cris to reveal who he is to Erika or will his past help to bring the girl of his dreams to him in the end? Will hiding who he is make her love him first or will it keep her at arm’s length until neither of them can take it anymore?

Cindy Jacks is a new to me author, and so far I am very impressed by her writing talent. The story has a great plot, suspense to keep me interested and characters that are very realistic. Cris and Erika’s characters are just what each other needs, and yet they can’t seem to see it in the beginning. But with a bit of creativity, Cris is able to open up to Erika about who he really is and soon they fall in love with each other. But with secrets weighing them both down will this new found love be enough to keep them together?

To see how it ends, pick up a copy today. Anyone looking for a great read that will keep you turning pages until the end will not be disappointed in this book. Cindy Jacks did an excellent job and this one will definitely be a reread in the future for me.
