Navy SEAL Gabriel Walker didn’t think he was asking too much, just a hot woman with some brains who made his down time between missions pleasant. And maybe a little bit more.

Forty-something Maggie Fitzpatrick wanted a younger man with a sex drive to match her own and even smarts to hold a conversation. And maybe a little bit more.

When Madame Evangeline paired them for the one night stand, neither of them expected the explosive chemistry, the very hot sex…and a little bit more.

This fiery-hot little story wields an enormous carnal punch of erotic excitement that is sustained throughout. Night Mission is all about attraction and sexual heat. The main characters are high-energy, Type A achievers who are looking for someone to make their match… for one night only.

The name of the agency that pairs couples for a quality night of fun is, 1Night Stand.

Maggie, an Architect who runs her own successful business, is a middle aged, independent and energetic woman. This beautiful, burnin’ hot cougar seeks a strongly sexual man who can live up to her dreams and expectations of a night of creative and imaginative, active, no-strings intense fun. She finds all this and much more in six-foot-four, ten-year Navy Seal, team leader, Gabe Walker. The couple are consumed the night long in decadent, intoxicating ecstasy and I was magnetically pulled along with them page after scorching hot page. With all this oh, so satisfying pillow talk, partying and exciting sex, these two might just find it hard to walk away.

There were a couple of lines of dialogue which felt a little awkward to me. I loved the ending, but for me the story was a little too short. Otherwise, this tale delivered in every way. This little ditty does exactly what it is meant to do, which is to entertain and amuse, and does it very well. The excellent quality of writing carries this out with complete success.

Once again, Ms. Holt has not let me down. This ‘burnin’ down the house’ tale is well worth the read and I must advise lovers of erotic romantic reading to get this one, now.

Being kidnapped is teaching Miss Celia Seaton a few things about life:

Lesson one: Never disrobe in front of a gentleman . . . unless his request comes at gunpoint.

Lesson two: If, when lost on the moors, you encounter Tarquin Compton, the leader of London society who ruined your marriage prospects, deny any previous acquaintance.

Lesson three: If presented with an opportunity to get back at Mr. Compton, the bigger the lie, the better. A faux engagement should do nicely.

Lesson four: Not all knowledge is found between the covers of a book. But an improper book may further your education in ways you never guessed.

And while an erotic novel may be entertaining, the real thing is even better.

I loved the premise of Miranda Neville’s The Amorous Education of Celia Seaton—a fringe ton debutante whose prospects are destroyed by a casually cruel comment of the reigning haut ton’s golden boy finds herself in the unique position to extend payback when the golden boy loses his memory. Celia Seaton is a strong, smart, resourceful woman with a devilish sense of humor. I laughed aloud at some of her fabrications and enjoyed seeing her and dandy Tarquin Compton romp through the Yorkshire countryside. Both Celia and I fell in love with Tarquin as Terrance Fish.

Tarquin’s character was believable with and without his memory. His charm and self confidence battled nicely with his newfound knowledge of how tough it would be on the fringes of high society. He gets the unique chance to look at himself from someone else’s point of view and it opens his eyes to what is important. I enjoyed seeing the transformation.

The romance and Celia’s “amorous education” were fun and titillating, but Celia’s attitudes in the last quarter of the book felt a bit too modern and idealistic for the time. I wanted her to accept life/polite society the way it was instead of contemplating foolish alternatives. Secondary characters shouldn’t have supported ill-conceived ideas. Those ideas were ruinous and should have been addressed as such. I wanted those secondary characters to be a bit more well rounded and realistic.

Still, all’s well that ends well and The Amorous Education of Celia Seaton ended very well.

Truthfully, reading this book was a nice way to spend a cold and windy weekend. By the way, Ms. Neville’s author’s notes made me smile and like the book even more. I recommend reading them as well.

Despite Eliza Worth’s attraction to her boss, Zach Taunton, she’s so fed up with his unreasonable demands she’s decided to look for another job. Her matchmaking friend Margo, determined to give Eliza some sexual healing for her work stress, invites her to a singles mixer, where Eliza reluctantly agrees to play a game of Seven Minutes in Heaven.

In a dark closet, Eliza is quickly brought to the edge and beyond by a sexy mystery man. Her initial intrigue quickly turns to horror when she discovers her masterful, anonymous lover is none other than her slave-driving boss—and Zach seems to want her for a lot longer than seven minutes.

But first he’ll have to relinquish some control and negotiate his way into her heart.

Office fantasies are something most of us have thought about, but only few of us have had a chance to experience. Eliza was forced to endure endless meetings with her tyrannical yet sexy boss. One minute she wanted to walk out and never look back and the next she wanted him to bend her over the desk and make love to her. They say there is a thin line between love and hate, and Eliza and her boss Zach are getting ready to find out just which side of the line they are on.

Zach is definitely a man I can see being infuriating one moment and the next you just want to submit to his every whim. A drop dead gorgeous boss is enough to tempt any girl and Zach is just that. I loved his domineering personality. It proves why women want him, and why he has been so successful within the business setting.

The story was jam packed with sexual tension. Something as simple as the way Zach crossed one leg over his knee was a form of foreplay. One thing that keep me on the edge of my seat was how long it took for them to actually have sex. They seemed to keep each other a an arm’s length away by not having actual intercourse, but instead doing everything else. This help keep the story entertaining, but I felt more frustrated than the characters and just wished they would just get to it.

This short story was definitely entertaining and anyone who even had a sexual fantasy especially one about an office affair would definitely enjoy this story.

Dangerous passion and primal instincts…

With his sinister good looks, Noah Winston is the one man— a human with Casus ties—who Willow Broussard has never been able to resist. Once enemies, then lovers, Noah broke her heart. Yet the powerful witch and paranormal private investigator can’t turn him away when he needs her help in protecting his family, him—and the world—against their enemy…

As Noah and Willow work together, the secrets of their turbulent past are slowly exposed, each startling revelation drawing them closer. But when the enemy finally makes a move, Noah will need more than witchcraft and magic to survive. He’ll need his friends, one hell of a plan and the undying devotion of a tenacious witch whose love is eternal…

This is the eighth, and final, book in Rhyannon Byrd’s Primal Instincts series, and it was worth the journey.

The final battle to stop the Casus is over, but in the confusion of the fight, the Casus leader, Anthony Calder, was able to escape, with the help of his pet witch. Noah Winston won’t rest until he has stopped Calder once and for all. He also knows it is time to go back to his home town and bring the bad news to people who used to be his friends: Jessie, her niece Willow and Willow’s brother, Harris. What he has to tell them has to be said in person, and even if he wanted to avoid it, they deserve to know that the witch helping Calder is Willow’s sister, Sienna. He also wants to ask Jessie if there is a way to stop the death walkers that were released when the Casus were defeated. And he dreads facing Willow-the only woman he has ever cared anything for, even though he left her all those years ago.

As for Willow, she never got over Noah, either. But Calder wants to take over Noah’s body, and he is determined to get what he wants.

When the sparks rekindle, Noah is determined to protect Willow at all costs, but she isn’t having any of that. But when Willow’s friend, and demon, Damon explains what they need to stop the death walkers, Willow becomes more important than ever. It seems she is part of the solution, and Noah is shocked at what he learns. cialis 5 mg Patients with acute or chronic liver failure undergo this surgery. Can Noah stop Calder and keep his own soul? Will the plan to stop the death walkers work? Is Willow strong enough in her magic to save what she and Noah could have together?

I really enjoyed this world Ms. Byrd created, and I will miss visiting with all the characters that live there. I met some very memorable characters and some very nasty bad guys as well. I did find that most of the villains were not completely evil, but s few were beyond redemption.

Noah Winston is a strong and determined man. As the oldest of three brothers, he understands responsibility, and is determined to prevent Calder from taking him over. I loved Noah’s sensitive side, when he admitted to Willow how he felt about her, how he had always felt. Noah’s real strength is his ability to care and protect those he cares about.

Willow is sassy and independent, and a very powerful witch. She is surprised when Noah shows up after so many years, and is determined not to let him back into her heart; at least until she realizes he never left it. I enjoyed watching as she and Noah became closer, and loved the way she was able to accept that she had to fight for her role in the destruction of the death walkers.

Ms. Byrd does an admirable job of bringing all the varied threads together for this book, and I enjoyed the surprises that arise as Willow and Noah begin to reconnect. There are a couple of tear jerker moments, but they serve to make the happy ever after all the sweeter in the end.

I recommend the complete series to those who like love and adventure and lots of action.

Deer shifter Jason Fleetfoot has turned his life around. After years of taking chances, he’s got a job as a crime lab technician, and he’s determined to forgo the risky behavior of his past.

Then he meets Drew Danvers, the only undead detective in the city. Jason hates vampires, or does he? Drew defies all the stereotypes of his kind and something about him has taken hold of Jason and won’t let go.

Will Jason take a chance on a man others would label a risk to his health if not his very life?

This book was so much fun for me on a couple of levels. Imagine a buck and a vampire falling in love at one of the worst possible times resulting in the best of everything. Very romantic.

One of the reasons I jumped on this title when it became available was because it was about Jason. I’d met him in a previous installment of Protect and Serve when his sister, Natalie needed saving. Well, so did Jason, and this is his story after the fact. This adorable little gem stands alone just fine but since I’d read the previous book, I knew more about just how dire his situation had been and in this installment, just how far he’d come. I was so happy to find out he’d get his happy ever after but never imagined who it’d be with.

Jason knew he messed up before so he’s doing his darndest to make his sister proud and recoup some of his lost pride. I think the job the author matched him up with was perfect. I knew he was loyal and dedicated as well as a braniac. What I did not know was his aversion to vampires. How ironic that the one man who makes his blood sing and his dreams burn his inner eyelids from imagined passion would turn out to be a vampire. And yet, I really respected Jason because he didn’t cast generic aspersions or run around with a phobia so encompassing that he’d stake an innocent man, although a dead one. He remained professional and calm. That is until one of the bad guys threw a curve ball and presented Jason with a slight dilemma. That was yummy, in a twisted sort of way.

Drew is part of that dilemma. But he’s also Jason’s personal thorn and eventual salvation. Finding a specommander cialis t tantric masseuse that is trained in providing therapeutic benefits will definitely be of benefit. One can also ask any query discount levitra rx or question related to their physical relation. Out of all the medications, sofosbuvir is cialis online a promising for chronic HCV infection. The penis is a fragile part of the body and it can get affected by the some of the problems after taking viagra tab medication which should be informed to the doctor since there might be some other problem or else you can trust. Drew is more the tortured hero in this book. Once I found out about his background I felt a lot of emotion for him. I would have liked to have explored him a bit more because a man who can rise above the horror foisted upon him has to have an incredible inner core of steel and integrity. As it is, the author only allowed me a glimpse of his depths. The bane of a short story is the length of the tale.

Both men are strong and took turns telling their side in each chapter as first person point of view. At first, I was all excited about Jason, but Drew quickly engaged my interest. I credit that to being able to see into his head, by getting to see the taffy pull battering his emotions inside throughout the story. Sure, Jason has his share but it’s not the searing pain that Drew has to deal with. It was a great hook.

The dialogue is brisk and informative, the editing clean and the characters fun. The only drawback for me was the brevity of information. I could have used a bit more background on Drew, a bit more meat between scene changes and believe it or not, more loving words between Drew and Jason. Their bodies talked the loudest and the author certainly wrote scenes that pleased my fast beating little heart. I just wanted a tiny bit more emotional connection because then I truly would have been assured that Jason and Drew would be together, forever. Maybe Ms. Violet could have them get married? Ooh, I’d buy that book.

Protect and Serve: Sex on the Hoof is a delightful and cheeky romance between to unlikely men who end up happier than they thought possible. There was fun exploration and heartfelt skin on skin to appeal to erotic readers. To engage the senses for readers who need a bit of meat to their short stories, there’s a bit of action when Drew tried to chase down a bad guy. For me, the best is the closure that both brother and sister are safe, loved and have a bright and terrific future ahead of them. I’d love to visit with the deer shifters again; they were so cool!

Excerpt from Savage Wolf :

I’m Wolf, Officer Aidan “Wolf” Savage. I’m a werewolf. But unlike most of my kind these days, I’m one of the good guys even if I do scare the hell out of most people the first time they meet me.

I’m a damned good cop. If I’m tracking a criminal, he doesn’t stand a chance of getting away. I love the chase, the take-down, the chance to be scary-as-hell, but there’s one thing I hate about this job: stakeouts.

That’s what tonight is all about, sitting in a hot, muggy car, eating doughnuts and watching the woods for signs of life. Man what I wouldn’t give for a beer right now. And a warm house and a warm woman. Ok, that train of thought isn’t doing a damn thing for me. Because my partner and I are stuck right here until we see something, or the sun comes up.

Jacobson, my partner, crushes his paper coffee cup and tosses it in the bag that serves as a trashcan. “I so don’t want to do this shit tonight.”

I don’t think his comment deserves a response so I take a sip of my own coffee, which is damn near empty too.

Jacobson stares hard at the fence outside his window. “Do you actually think we’re going to see anything? Anyone could have dumped those bodies by the park. Why would they come back now?”

We’re parked along the outer perimeter of City Park. In it’s heyday it was a place for city residents to relax, have a picnic, get some exercise, and remember what trees actually looked like. When the economy went south, the city stopped maintaining it. Now it’s an overgrown eyesore used primarily by the homeless, drug addicts, and kids looking for a thrill.

The department is constantly getting complaints about the vermin that thrive in the undergrowth, both animal and human. But recently, the volume of calls about trouble in the park has increased, and two teenagers were found dead at the park’s northern gates last night. They’d been shot, execution style.

I take another sip of coffee before responding to Jacob’s questions. “We’ve had too many complaints and none from the usual suspects. Something’s up.”

“Gang initiation?” Jacobson suggests.

I shake my head. “I don’t think so.”

His eyes narrow. “You smell something, don’t you?”

I nod. Under the smells of sex, beer, and greasy food, there’s an odd chemical odor. I can’t place it, but I’m certain it doesn’t belong in the park. It hadn’t been there a few months ago when I’d pulled the short straw and been sent to run off a bunch of kids who’d come out here to party.

Before I can describe the smell to Jacob, I hear distant footsteps pounding the pavement. “Someone’s running this way. Someone fast.”

Jacob nods. I doubt he can hear a thing, but he’s learned to trust my non-human ears without question. A few seconds later, a woman comes into view. She’s wearing a sundress and a pair of high-heeled sandals so I doubt she’s running for her health. Not that any sane woman would be at night in this part of town.

She has straight, reddish-brown hair that swings past her waist. Her heavy, round breasts are barely contained by her dress. Long shapely legs reach out for the ground making my cock sit up and say hello. Her strides are so long she’s practically leaping.

She’s moving faster than any human should be in shoes like that. The wolf inside me begs me to chase her for the sheer thrill of apprehending such a hot piece of flesh. But my cop instincts tell me this woman is our key to what’s actually going on in the park.

Jacobson reaches for the door handle, but I lay a hand on his arm, stopping him. “Not yet.”

“She’s not out for an evening jog, Wolf. Someone’s chasing her.”

“Exactly. And we need to know who and why.”

Finn Anderssen storms into Fool’s Gold in search of his younger twin brothers Sasha and Stephen who’ve abandoned their college studies one semester short of graduation to enter the competition. Finn is determined to drag his brothers back to South Salmon where he is partner in an air cargo transport business and knock some sense into them. While staying in town, Finn becomes attracted to Dakota. A dinner invitation to her house results in a night of superb sex for both of them. Finn has been too busy looking after his brothers for eight years to allow himself any relationships and Dakota feels men either aren’t interested in her or the right man she could be interested in hasn’t come along. Until Finn. The fact that he’s only there temporarily allow her to have a no commitments relationship. She doesn’t count on falling in love.

I loved this story. The premise was cute, but after I got to know the characters, I found myself rooting for each of them with no thought to the outcome of the competition. I loved the interaction between Dakota, her mother and her sisters as much as I did the town, which in itself was a character. (Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we could all live in such a caring place?)

The developing relationship between Aurelia and Stephen was particularly touching and negated Finn’s obtuseness about the role he should play in his brother’s lives. Although he was a good and caring man, he went completely overboard in his role as guardian of two young men who were twenty-one. His learning to accept that his goals were not their goals was a touching thing to see and I cheered his character growth on this point and impatiently waited to see if he could get past his personal stumbling block to a satisfying relationship with Dakota.

This book grabbed me within the first three chapters and hung on right to the end. Pick up a copy for yourself and see if you don’t agree that it’s a satisfying and rewarding read.

When Canyon’s ex-lover, Robert, dies, he leaves behind a last request that Canyon take word of his passing to Simon, an old friend on the east coast. Canyon reluctantly agrees, and soon finds himself falling for Simon, despite the nagging belief he shouldn’t. Canyon is plagued by guilt over his part in the accident that claimed Robert’s life. But Simon knows something Canyon doesn’t: Robert’s death wasn’t an accident, but a suicide, and Robert’s intent was for the two men he left behind to come together. But Robert’s plan didn’t account for two things: Simon’s disbelief that anyone can truly love a soon-to-be-cripple, and Canyon’s staunch decision that the next man he gives himself to will give him a wedding ring first. Can Canyon and Simon set aside their own issues long enough to see what lies between them, or will they both miss out on their happily ever after?

When someone dies, the survivors are left to pick up the pieces and move on. What makes this story gripping is that Robert, before he died, had everything planned out from his finances to what he wants to happen with his young lover, Canyon.

Unbeknownst to Canyon, Robert had everything planned to the T and sends him off to inform his longtime friend and ex-lover Simon of his passing. Robert’s hope was that maybe just maybe Simon and Canyon could find happiness together.

Canyon is a very likeable character. He still believes in love and what he wants more than anything is to get married one day. I absolutely fell in love with this character. He shows time after time how big his heart is with his actions and the way he thinks. He wants more than a good time and doesn’t let his body’s urges make decisions he’s not ready to accept. Canyon is waiting for the knight on the white horse to come and find him and he thinks he may have found that in Simon. Men these days discount bulk viagra are so least bothered about their health. However, medical science has come up with order cialis online medicines to treat erectile dysfunction problems. X-rays are order cialis visit over here now the imaging types of solution to research project the entire bony substances inside lower back. This is something that restricts the blood flow to the straight from the source viagra samples male organ by acting on an enzymatic level.

Simon has been friends with Robert since childhood, so when Canyon shows up on his door step with a letter written by Robert he knows it is important. In a short note Robert explains to Simon what he has done and what he hopes develops between Simon and Canyon. Simon gets put in the middle of what his dead friend’s wants and what he feels he should do to help relieve Canyon’s guilt.

Canyon and Simon are very different men and this causes rifts between them. A lot of bickering goes on between these two men. It’s a case of walking on egg shells and still coming to grips with Robert’s death for Canyon. Simon is dealing with his own set of health issues and fearing that the man he is coming to love won’t stick it out with him for the long haul.

The only thing that really could have enhanced this book was if it were longer. This story seems to be rushed; with a little more time these characters really could have developed more.

The characters in this story never come together sexually and I found that refreshing. In most books the main characters are jumping into bed way too soon, but in this book we get to see Simon and Canyon learn to know each other without using explicit sex scenes to tell their love story.

Who Better Than Canyon touched my heart and I felt fortunate to get to read and review it. I would recommend this book to anyone one who is needing a pick me up. This book does deal with death but also what happens when you find a love worth sticking around for. A very good uplifting read.
