Even if she’s too stubborn to admit it. Because Pierce is too stubborn to let her walk away…

Mate Not Wanted has a little of everything. A hero with a unique career, a fast moving plot, and a build up to some very sexy scenes.

I liked both the main characters in this story. Even though they were shape-shifters, they came across as everyday people, looking for love and their place in the world. Ms. Illyria did a great job building upon their personalities as the story unfolded. Nothing felt rushed, including the sex. However, there was plenty of sizzle leading up to the first sex scene, making it well worth the wait.

The secondary characters were great too and didn’t seem thrown in there just for the sake of the plot. All the shape shifters were fun to read about. And there’s not just one or two of them, but many.

If you like shape shifters and lots of sexual tension, I think this might be a perfect book for you.

Plagued by guilt, Nicholas Hollsten ended his military career in the Special Forces and returned home only to be forced into a life he never wanted. Nick found himself running his father’s company and making good on a promise to his team. Angry and frustrated with the direction his life was taking, he calms his thoughts by filling his evenings and bed with soft distractions. Until one woman captures his interest.

Rebecca Klayton thought she was happy in her small town, running her bakery and avoiding love. That emotion only meant heartache and being left exactly where you started—alone. Lesson learned. But, when the sexy stranger from their hot New Year’s Eve party shows up at her counter, will she be able to ignore the temptation or will she find what she’s been missing in the Arms of Serenity?

Six years ago Becca Klayton was in a car accident with her parents. Her father was killed, and her mother seriously injured. Becca lost the baby she didn’t even know she’d been pregnant with. Nothing has been the same for her since. Nicholas Hollsten has inherited his father’s business – but the office is as cold and emotionally bare as the man himself had been. Both Nicholas and Becca attend the same wedding reception (a Masquerade party) and the sparks fly immediately. A night of passion follows and despite their vow for it to be just the one night, as always there are repercussions in the morning. Added on to this, Nicholas’ side job as a security specialist for a very special firm have their first job from a CIA contact. Nicholas and Becca both have their plates full, and despite their struggles, they soon discover one night just can’t be enough.

This is a well written and very well paced full length novel. It took me a few pages to really get into Becca and Nicholas’ characters, but once the author hooked me on each of their situations I couldn’t read this fast enough. I greatly enjoyed how the author has fleshed out the main characters properly. I feel the author has gone to great lengths to make both Becca and Nicholas deep, complex and interesting characters. With a strong supporting cast (and what I feel is a few hooks into future books, Tank in particular interested me greatly…) I found this to be a really engrossing story, one you can’t just pick up and put down, but need to dedicate time to really enjoy.

There were a few really steamy sex scenes. While I wouldn’t classify it as erotica, it is detailed and nothing is held back. Romance readers who prefer their action sweet or behind closed doors might want to be cautious here. Even though I found the scenes graphic, I thought they were really sexy, tasteful and not at all outrageous. I was a little disappointed though with Becca’s about-face after the initial sex scene. I never really fully understood why Becca was perfectly content to be with Nicholas as a no-strings one night stand, but was so judgmental the next morning. She took one look at him and based on his appearance, his expensive, cashmere sweater (and admittedly his swagger) and decided that he was everything she hated in a man. Their sex the previous evening, the intimacies and discussions they’d shared – even the man Nicholas had shown himself to be sharing the rooftop garden and himself – was all forgotten in the blink of an eye. This really upset me as a reader, and made me strongly dislike Becca for a while.

I realise that there needs to be conflict and tension between the hero and heroine, and aside from this one (albeit large) character flaw shown in Becca, I liked seeing them try to come to terms with each other and their attraction. One of the things I really enjoyed throughout the book was the fact that the plot and the romance each take equal amounts of the story itself. This isn’t a romance with a throw-away plot added in for form’s sake. Nor did I find this a thriller/mystery book with a brief, hasty “romance” to appeal to the women readers. I feel the author has done a great job to balance the two out. The secondary characters also weren’t just thrown in to flesh out Becca and Nicholas. I’m quite intrigued by many of them and hope to read more of them soon.

Strong, complex characters and an interesting plot, plenty of spicy romance and a great side-plot with a hint of ex-Army men, there’s an awful lot to like in this book. Other than a few blips I greatly enjoyed this full length novel and can recommend it for many other readers.

Hunter discovers that the passengers have been kidnapped and thanks to a cryptic message from one of them, a young werewolf named Angela, Hunter is able to head off in pursuit. However, the plot is much more complex than a simple kidnapping, and indeed, the British government is in danger.

Dead Men’s Tales is a wonderful steampunk fantasy novel. The plot is fast-moving, filled with adventure and intrigue, and suspenseful enough to keep readers on the edge of their seats. The novel is definitely plot driven, although there are a number of memorable characters. But there are so many characters that I didn’t become attached to any particular one. I also felt that the author’s use of names added unnecessary confusion. Sometimes the first name is used and sometimes the last or the title, so that Captain Anthony Hunter is called Captain, Anthony, and Hunter, with the names being interchanged seemingly at random. In the beginning, this made it seem to me as if there were even more characters than there really were.

The plot is an excellent one, with heavy emphasis on the evils of some rather diabolical weapons, including spinoffs from the Ironclad ships of the American Civil War and the use of mustard gas in World War I. The story takes place in the North Atlantic and the Scottish Highlands and the descriptions of the various locations are rich and varied. I really did feel as if I were right in the middle of the action.

The descriptions of the various scientific gadgetry was detailed enough to create a very believable picture without overwhelming the reader in explanations. I was especially taken with the creativity of Moira, the ship’s blacksmith, who succeeds in inventing all manner of devices to help defeat the villains.

Readers who enjoy steampunk are sure to find Dead Men’s Tales to be a thrilling, heart-stopping read.

Ten years ago…

Special Agent Jess Harris has closed another tough case and now she’s determined to make it home to spend Christmas with her only family, her sister. Jess needs a break and taking it far away from work is the only way to keep her mind off the many faces of evil waiting in the stack of case files on her desk.

Running into the past wasn’t part of the plan…

Daniel Burnett was Jess’s first love. She’d fallen hard for him in high school. Together they’d gone off to college with big dreams. But not all dreams come true. Jess hasn’t seen Dan in ten years when they run into each other on Christmas Eve night…yet no force on earth can keep them apart.

Ten years before returning to Birmingham for good, Special Agent Jess Harris made a holiday stopover that she’ll never forget. Coming home for Christmas with her sister and her family, Jess is derailed when she runs into her first love in the local Publix. The next question is, will Jess make it to Lily’s on time for Christmas?

The Jess Harris we meet in Silence is both very different while being very much the same. She’s still hardheaded, determined, and willful. However, she isn’t carrying the shame of having lost the Player nor is she obsessed with bringing the same to justice. It was interesting to see how she was before all the bad went down, sending her back to Birmingham to help Dan. I also enjoyed watching her interact with Dan again after such a long time.

I can’t say much about Dan because, let’s face it, Daniel Burnett is practically perfect in every way. He never stopped loving Jess and it’s obvious. He’s still the strong, considerate rock of a man we meet in Obessession, and I have faith he always was and will be this same man. Dan is exactly everything Jess needs to balance herself out with.

Finally! I have been an avid follower of this series since it was introduced to me early last year. In practically every book since that first one, Jess has thought back to that Christmas she spent with Dan and now we finally have the story of what really went on that night. I wasn’t disappointed either. Silence was everything I had hoped it would be, both steamy and intense and full of the usual Debra Webb flair. It makes for a wonderful prequel to the series or, if you’re like me, a nice tidbit to tide you over until the next full novel is released.

The plan was simple: get in, kill the target, and get out. Things got complicated, lines were crossed, and hearts were pried open.

Once you have been examined by a doctor, cialis sale purchasing here may very well be the right choice for them or not. Along with stress, depression and anxiety are other psychological issues that can lead to sexual impotence. levitra price It is important that man and his http://cute-n-tiny.com/cute-animals/orange-eyed-kitty/ fast generic cialis partner or man alone. My name is Rylan and I’m not who you think I am. I’m never who I appear to be. I am the wind. I am the shadow that fades quietly into the night. I’m an assassin and I’m here to kill the father of the man I love.

Rylan is an assassin, travelling across the universe from mission to mission. One day though, he meets a man that gets under his skin. Rylan learned long ago not to listen to his cock – that way always leads to trouble, but there’s something about Gold that draws him, that he can’t resist. Full of sexy adventures and alternate planets, this is an adventurous, highly sexual story following an assassin whose work takes him all over the universe.

Written in the first person, this book grabbed my attention almost immediately. The sensual aspect of his dance and the calculated but not cold way the protagonist lures the king, seduces him and then completes his mission. This story was different, but it was the authors style and manner of writing that really sucked me in. I usually don’t enjoy the first person perspective as it limits the story-telling to just the one set of eyes, but Mr. Cox has done an amazing job here. I enjoyed the sci-fi/fantasy aspect of this story, space ships and cruising around various planets, laser guns and all manner of weaponry. But still the characters weren’t too alien. There were wealthy, paranoid security specialists and kings drunk on their own power – characters and people I could relate to and understand. That made me enjoy this story even though I’m not usually a sci-fi fan.

When Rylan’s latest mission gets complicated, that’s when I found the author’s style really started to shine though. I found the characters interesting and they drew me into the story. While there is a lot of M/M sex, I found it hot and always consensual. I particularly liked the sense of adventure the authors writing gave the missions. It felt a bit like a futuristic story of derry-do. Even though Rylan is an assassin, he is a good man, a fair one, and this made me like him immensely, even if his job is to kill people. The only drawback I had reading this book is that it moves quite quickly. The scenes flash by and I felt like the story was a bit rushed – like I couldn’t relax and linger over every action and scene. I also found the ending to be a bit unrealistic, but the romance reader in me just sighed happily and couldn’t help but enjoy it.

I found this to be a hot, sensual story filled with adventure, space travel, murder and enough sex to singe my eyebrows. The characters were vibrant and interesting, the plot not overly convoluted but riveting and the alien landscapes thrilling. I greatly enjoyed this book and would happily read more from the author.

I love a good Carolyn Brown book and this one is no miss. It’s a hit. The writing is crisp and full of emotion. The characters are charismatic and have issues which make them easy to relate to.

Emily wants to help her dying grandfather so she goes to the woman he loves. The letters he’s been sending never quite made it to Clarice. I loved this story arc. The letters that never made it. Very romantic. I also liked this plot device to get Emily and Greg, the grandson of Clarice, together.

The great thing about this story is the sparks. I definitely felt the sparks between Clarice and her soldier. Those sparks continue with Greg and Emily. They don’t think they should be together, but karma knows otherwise. I liked seeing them spar. They played off each other quite well and made me feel like I was right there in the room with them.

The heat in this book  is fantastic. I felt their steam and loved reading about them working through their issues. I can’t say how things work out, but it’s definitely worth the read.

When Jepoi meets the man of his dreams, he has no way of knowing that Malakai is a fallen Hawaiian god condemned to eternity…as a vampire.

The pantheon of gods were displeased when Kane, one of their major gods, fell out with his lover Kanaloa, one of the ruling forces over the Hawaiian Islands. Condemned to an eternal earth-bound life as a shape-shifting vampire, Malakai has one chance to break the curse. He must never fall in love and he must never intervene in human problems.

So, it is not difficult to see that we take enough food according to our need it brand viagra pfizer is the muscles will perform perfectly. All that goes astray when he meets Jepoi, a young male nurse working on the Big Island of Hawaii. Malakai falls for Jepoi and can’t resist him, but then all hell literally breaks loose when Malakai saves Jepoi from ancient and deadly disease that returns to the fatal shores of Hawaii.

As far as Jepoi can tell, Malakai is like any other good-looking dream come true. Unfortunately, he’s so much more – an ancient Hawaiian god turned vampire – and the last thing Jepoi ever expected to cross his path. So, what is a young man to do when the love of his life has sworn to never fall in love nor intervene in human problems ever again? In a word: everything you can to make him change his mind.

Jepoi felt like an old friend from the very beginning. Working as a paramedic for an air ambulance, Jepoi is good at his job and enjoys it tremendously. His caring and dedicated nature were appealing and you can easily see why someone who has been banished as long as Malakai has been would be so drawn to him. In addition, his relationship with his roommate, Evelin, was endearing and charming, as well. I liked her a lot as well.

Malakai, also known as Kane, wasn’t as easy for me to warm up to. He’s one of those characters that, while you can tell you’re going to eventually like him, you have to ‘meet’ him a few times before it starts to all come together for you. Or, at least, that’s how it worked for me. By the end of the story, I was quite enamored of him. Malakai’s partner in crime, Felix, on the other hand, I was in love with his quirky self from the first moment I met him.

For me, the only downside to this lovely novel was the point near the end when the gods get involved and things become a bit muddy. I had a hard time keeping what was happening straight. I found myself flipping back a few pages here and there, just to reorient myself.

Fever is an intense, sexy vampire novel that will run you ragged from page one until the end. Filled with surprises, twists, and turns, I found myself constantly being startled by what came next. If you’re looking for a very steamy love story with the added touch of the paranormal, then this is the one for you.

Working for Him takes employment to whole new levels and the author, Ms Edwards, writes with an easy to read style and certainly knows how to crank up the temperature in the sex scenes. I enjoyed the premise a lot, and liked how much Richard thought of Serena. I also liked how his determination both in and out of the bedroom showed him to be a good man. The characterization of Serena was also well portrayed and I enjoyed being in her head during the down-and-dirty scenes. Richard certainly knows what he’s doing. Phew!

But another thing she’d forgotten was just how stubborn Gage can be—especially when her domineering ex tries to stake a claim…

Baby Be Mine kicks off a brand new series from the very talented Vivian Arend. It was a wonderful book. I enjoyed it from start to finish and cannot wait for more of the Thompson family. It was an interesting story that has me hooked on this new series already.

A lingering crush that suddenly turns into something more for Katy and Gage. It began as a flickering spark and quickly turns into a blazing flame. One night of passion that brings serious consequences. A twist of fate and memories are washed away. A love forever lost ? Well, that’s what this story is about. It’s dramatic to say the least. Two men staking their claim, and Katy doesn’t know which one is telling the truth. A jealous ex is out to make trouble, while Gage is determined to claim what is his.

As usual, Vivian Arend did an absolutely fantastic job on this book. It had a great plot, and wonderful characters that I liked reading about. I loved Gage ! He was all alpaha male, but different in his own way. He was possessive without being a jerk. I liked Katy. She made a strong heroine, just the way I like. She was a bit confused about things, but she never let anybody run over her. Arend did good by showing her frustrations at the gaps in her memory and the way things changed for her. So the story was well developed in that. For a short novel, the story had quite a bit of dramatic tension that kept things interesting. Gage had a past that no one knew about. It brings an intensity to the story without dominating the story line. I felt that the romantic relationship was the driving force in this story. It was sweet how Gage stood by Katy. They had good chemistry and the love scenes were scorching hot. Near the end there was some angsty drama in store for them before they could have their happy ending. This part made me enjoy the book even more than I already had.

Another thing that I liked about the book was how Arend explored the dynamics of this family we are going to be reading about. I gathered some interesting clues about some of the stories that might be right around the corner. It is very promising and I can’t wait for more.

So I enjoyed this book a lot. Vivian Arend fans are bound to love it as well. I would recommend it to everyone as a light, sexy read that you won’t want to put down. So happy reading !

This is a dangerous world Ms. Couper has built, a world I found intriguing and pulse quickening. It is a dark world, and the characters are edgy and lethal, but with hidden gentleness and complexities. I like this world, for the adventure and passion Ms Couper brings to it.

Falynn Mavek, code name Proserpina, is a strong and independent woman. Trained by Unit Zero Agent Thanatos, she is the second most dangerous assassin of the Galactic Union. When her mentor Thanatos leaves on a mission, then vanishes without a trace, he takes her heart with him. She goes on to become an emotionless assassin, determined to care about no one or nothing. When she gets her new assignment, she comes face to face with the one man she could never get over. I liked Falynn for her pragmatic approach to life, but enjoyed watching her come back to life as she confronts Thanatos/Corvan, her target on this mission. I also liked that she was able to see past the dogma of the Galactic Union, and think for herself.

Corvan ‘Thanatos’ Jareth is a dangerous and intense individual, deadly to any he believes to be his enemy. But he has a gentle heart, and knows his last official mission was wrong, and so instead of killing his target, he rescued her, and has kept her safe and alive for three years. When Falynn confronts him in his new life, he knows he has to convince her to help him, because he never forgot how she felt in his arms, and in his heart. I liked seeing him seduce and then convince the woman he couldn’t forget to join by him to protect the child he rescued so long ago. I like Corvan for his strength of character, and I really enjoyed his special talents unique to his species.

There is action, danger and adventure in this one, and a struggle by Falynn’s android companion when the Galactic Union overrides Falynn’s programming, sending him on a destructive path toward the child Corvan has fought to keep safe. But there is also passion, love and, since this is a Lexxie Couper story, lots of screaming hot sexy action, especially when Corvan brings several of his temporal selves in to one place to bring pleasure to Falynn. After all, what woman wouldn’t want her man to be able to answer her every desire with only his touch? I recommend this for those who like adventure and passion, in a small spaceport called Mercy.
