Jane’s boyfriend Matthew is perfect in all ways but one—in the bedroom. Sure, their sex life is sweet and romantic, but therein lies the problem. Jane harbors secret desires that she’s afraid will turn off her vanilla lover. But finally she confides in him, introducing him to the world of non-con role play.

Matthew has always believed that no means no, but in ravishment fantasy no means yes, yes, yes. He’s reticent to open the door to the darker side of his sexuality, but with Jane’s patient guidance he finds he enjoys the role of aggressor. Perhaps more than he’s comfortable with. The role play stirs up a host of memories he’d rather forget, leaving him to wonder which is his true self—the sweet, romantic lover or the ravisher.

If you thought fantasies were a shallow bit of fun, be prepared to think again.

Jane is not a vanilla girl, she likes it rough, hot and hard. Trouble is boyfriend Matthew is just too damn nice; not just nice, he’s romantic, sweet, gentle and considerate. Tough luck it seems he might be the one, because while he’s everything she wants out of the bedroom, he’s just not hitting the spot – literally – when they get between the sheets. So there’s only one thing for Jane to do and that’s to bare open her soul and confess her dark, sordid desires. The expression “can of worms” springs to mind, for after a ropey start things spiral to dizzyingly ecstatic heights but then rocket higher and scarier than either of them could ever have imagined.

There were many layers to this story and I adored the fact that I couldn’t predict it as it romped along at a steamy pace. Both characters were portrayed really well, their inner thoughts, hopes, dreams and passion all there for the reader to devour. I felt like I knew them both. Jane was great, she was a woman who loved with every inch of her being and she wanted to express that. Matthew, who I have to admit was one of the roughest and most sensitive heroes I have come across in a long time, was great. His inner-monologue both wild and heart wrenching. I wanted to be on the receiving end of his attentions at times, and others I was glad it was Jane coping with him! Needless to say it made for a great read and luckily Jane, the feisty minx, lapped up everything Matthew had to offer, just.

Ravish Me is one hot read if you enjoy rough play, forced seduction and passion let loose. The hero and heroine really were made for one another and traveling on their journey of fantasy role-play that proved to be so much more than a bit of fun made me feel quite voyeuristic. It was beautifully written, the subject matter which could have been a major turn off in an erotic romance was handled sensitively and maturely and ended with a positive spin. Grab yourself a copy of Ravish Me if you want a page-turner that will leave you breathless. It may even be one of those books that plays on your mind after the last page, I know it will mine.

Rachel Schmidt Nussbaum, a young widow, is now seven and a half months pregnant with her first child. She blames herself for her husband Josef’s death and she believes that she is being punished by God for her past sins.

So when a stranger arrives claiming to be an old friend from her wilder years, saying only she can fix things for him, for Josef, and for herself, she makes an impulsive decision to follow him. Thus begins a journey that will lead Rachel to the depths of ultimate danger, the potential for new love, and a battle that will decide both the fate of her soul and the life of her unborn child.

This story can inspire those for various cultures, ages, and backgrounds with its gripping plot lines and unique characters.

Rachel is a character that I sympathized with immediately. As a widow with child, I could not help but feel a pang of empathy for this soon-to-be mother. While she may seem like a quiet, young Amish woman on the outside, inside she has the heart of a lioness. She willingly sacrifices herself not only for those she cares about, but also for the beliefs that she has been taught since she was an infant. Even if God may have turned His back on her because of Rachel’s misdeeds in the past, she will do whatever it takes to maintain her moral standards and compassion for those around her. This really makes Rachel a remarkable heroine and one of the reasons this story kept me entertained.

Roc’s character was very intriguing because I never knew which end of the moral pendulum he would swing to next. As a vampire hunter, he had to make some tough decision that could get not only him but others killed. It also made him keep even his closest of friends at a distance since he knew he may have to be their judge, jury, and executioner in the future. This created a gruff man who can be difficult to care for. It also created a character that I wanted to continuously learn about. I could read a book based on his life experience alone because I know it would be full of excitement, heartbreak, and love. Yes, even the man who seems to care for little shows compassion and love, which furthered my infatuation with him.

The characters and plot lines of this story are extremely dynamic – so much so that in the beginning they seemed a bit overwhelming. Rachel and Roc’s past played a large role in their story and I sometimes felt like I was missing a few pieces to the puzzle. In the end, I was able to understand the whole story of both their individual pasts as well as the future they both hope to achieve.

The conflict within this story keeps the plot moving forward at a consistent pace. During a large section of the storyline the conflict supersedes the romantic development, but it also helps in bringing the main characters together. The author even allowed me to feel bad for Jacob a/k/a Akiva at times, which really demonstrated the author’s ability to create penetrating characters.

Ms. Ellis really gave me a glimpse into what might be the secret life of the Amish. I lived in a predominately-Amish area at one point in my childhood so this aspect is what initially drew me to the storyline. I was happy to see that the author keeps the Amish lifestyle as authentic as possible. It helped to make this book truly entertaining. There is nothing run-of-the-mill about this paranormal romance story and I am sure that anyone can find something about it they truly love.

From the New York Times bestselling mother-and-son team of Anne McCaffrey and Todd McCaffrey comes the final installment in the riveting Pern saga that began with Todd’s solo novel, Dragonsblood. Now, with all of Pern imperiled by the aftereffects of a plague that killed scores of dragons and left the planet helpless against the fall of deadly Thread, the only hope for the future lies in the past.

There, on an unexplored island, a group of dragonriders led by Xhinna, a brave young woman who rides the blue dragon Tazith, must battle lethal Merows and voracious tunnel-snakes to build a safe home for themselves and the dragons, whose offspring will one day—if they survive—replenish Pern’s decimated dragon population. But as the first female rider of a blue dragon, and the first female Weyrleader in the history of Pern, Xhinna faces an uphill battle in winning the respect and loyalty of her peers . . . especially after an unforeseen tragedy leaves the struggling colony reeling from a shattering loss.

Amid the grieving, one girl, Jirana, blessed—or cursed—with the ability to foresee potential futures, will help Xhinna find a way forward. The answer lies in time . . . or, rather, in timing it: the awesome ability of the dragons to travel through time itself. But that power comes with risks, and by venturing further into the past, Xhinna may be jeopardizing the very future she has sworn to save.

Sky Dragons is the latest installment in the Pern Series and the last book which will feel the touch of Anne MacCaffrey herself. It’s thrilling as a reader and lover of the Pern series that this latest and last book by her is as wonderful and thrilling as the first. The Pern series does need to be read in order because there are elements, which are developed and explained in early books and may leave readers confused, if they’re picking up Sky Dragons for the first time.

Sky Dragons revolves around the first female blue dragon rider and a small group of dragon riders and potential dragon riders who travel back in time with the hopes of breeding enough dragons to help repopulate the Weyrs in their own time. They establish Sky Weyr after an attack and some are stuck in a time drama which leaves the young blue rider Xhinna, as the oldest dragon rider in the group and therefore Weyrleader, the first female to ever take the position. She must see to the youngsters both human and dragon as she tries to save them from vicious predators. She becomes the leader of a wing of Queen dragons. Throw in some fancy flying and daring unprecedented ideas and you have a wonderful story that brings adventure, romance, danger, and drama all together in a smooth and delightful mix.

While I enjoyed this story it wasn’t quite as enjoyable as some of her other works. There were a few areas of confusion where even I was wondering what was going on. They were quickly sorted out when it became apparent that as the dragons were moving back and forth through time so was the story and there were time leaps to allow maturing of the characters. Also a heads-up:  a lesbian relationship figures prominently in the story, so if that’s something which offends you, you may choose not to read this book.

Overall, the book was well written, as delightful as the first in the Pern series and made me a bit melancholy because it will be the last of these special books from an amazing author. It’s a book that has joined my collection and I encourage anyone to pick up and read Sky Dragons by Anne and Todd MacCaffrey.

Gold! Gold! Gold! Or is it?

Gold fever never struck early pulp writer Homer Eon Flint, but he understood the rare metal’s ability to change men and women, not always for the best. In Golden Web Claim he asked the question, “What’s a little greed among enemies?” As with much of Flint’s fiction, Golden Web Claim explores the human psyche.

She’s young and attractive and looking for an engineer to help her find gold in the mountains of the desert. He’s unemployed and looking for a job. However, he didn’t know exactly what he was getting into when she hired him…

This is the second Homer Flint story I have reviewed. The author died long ago, but his words are still alive and give the reader a tour of the old west. Guns spoke louder than voices in those days and it was easier to steal than to work. The lands were rough, men were mean, and life was tough. Mr. Flint’s stories show that truth and he always offers a mystery to hold your attention.

One of the most interesting factors in this story was the use of a crawler (as in Caterpillar) to get to the area where the claim was. In his previous story the sheriff used an airplane. The author appears to have had an interest in the new technology as well as the history of the west. They mesh well together.

The story of gold mining wasn’t new, but there is an underlying plot that isn’t revealed until the end of the story. This little extra twist makes a really good story with an interesting plot and a little frosting on the cake at the conclusion of the story.

He’s concise with his wording, he accurately describes the land, and his characters are no better than they should be at this point in history. I wasn’t bored and the ending made me smile. Why not give it a read and see what you think?

I am drawn to writing suspense/thrillers, which can often be dark and contain non-stop adventure. But in real life, I am very different from most heroines I write about. Here are ten things most people don’t know about me:

#10. I relax by watching light romantic movies, preferably without any type of crime involved. I particularly love Leap Year, Bandits (with Billy Bob Thornton, Bruce Willis & Cate Blanchett), Love, Actually and Mama Mia.

#9. Politically, I am an independent and I research every candidate’s positions before I vote.

#8. I know every move to Proud Mary and I adore Tina Turner.

#7. I started the New Leash on Life program at a Robeson County, NC prison, paring inmates with rescue dogs who are obedience trained with only positive reinforcement.

#6. When I grow up, I want to be Fionnula Flanagan. When I am writing scenes set in Ireland or with Irish women, I study her voice. I think she is one very classy lady.

#5. I have five fish tanks and the crown jewels are freshwater angelfish that are each ten inches tall. I find it very relaxing to maintain aquariums.

#4. I rescued a Jack Russell who had been shot in the leg and had his leg reconstructed; a collie who was so malnourished she was close to death; two walker hounds who had been seized from a hunting lodge by the SPCA; a mastiff and an Australian shepherd… but not all at once. One of my fantasies is earning enough money to help fund more animal rescue efforts.

#3. My favorite author is Erin Quinn. I love the time travel elements in her Haunting series.

#2. My favorite television series are Mad Men, Justified, Grimm and True Blood. I think Joe Manganiello (Alcide on True Blood) did the best PSA on bullying I’ve ever seen.

#1. I believe in eternal soul mates.

Nyree Grant, a rising singing sensation discovered on YouTube®, longs to meet a man who can match her in the passion department.

Jack Harris, a successful contractor, has become obsessed with the beautiful singer after seeing her internet video. He’s thrilled when she’s set to play some concerts in his city. His goal is to meet, and to have, the lovely chanteuse.

It is lust at first sight for the two and they soon find that they make beautiful music together.

Jack Harris couldn’t get the image of Nyree Grant out of his mind or his dreams. He couldn’t close his eyes at night without having erotic fantasies about her and he wanted to make those fantasies a reality. His chance came when he heard that she would be performing in his city and he decided that he would take the night off, buy a ticket, and finally meet his dream woman.

Nyree Grant had been discovered on YouTube and had finally realized her dream of becoming a singer. Happy that her life had finally taken off in the direction she wanted it to go, she was also sad that she had no one to share it with. She wanted more but realized that her singing may be her entire life, and love would have to take a back seat for now.

As Nyree prepared to walk out onto the club stage, she saw a man sitting at one of the tables. She couldn’t understand why her heart was beating so fast and when they made eye contact and he smiled, she was done for. Jack felt the same way when Nyree looked at him and he knew he had to have her. As she sang he felt like she was singing for him alone.

The main issue I had with this novella is how most of the book was taken up by the fantasies each of the characters was having about one another. When they finally did get together it was unlike anything they had fantasized. The story was good but it would have been nice if the characters were fleshed out a bit more. They knew very little about one another and she didn’t even know his name before she took off her clothes.

I found the story to be well written, the characters likeable, but you couldn’t really get into the story because before you knew it, it was over. That’s fine if you’re looking for a quick read that doesn’t require you to become vested in the characters emotionally. It is a nice way to spend a half hour or so and simply enjoy it for what it is: a glance into two peoples fantasies and first meeting. If a few minutes is all you have, pick up a copy of Beautiful Music.

Collared and controlled, Shifters are outcast from humanity, forced to live in Shiftertowns. But waiting within are passions that no collar can contain…

Like most Shifters, Liam Morrissey has learned that trusting humans leads to no good. But when beautiful attorney Kim Fraser enters Shiftertown alone in order to prove her client’s innocence, Liam’s alpha nature leaves him no choice but to offer his protection.

Ever pick up a book just on a whim? That’s what happened with Pride Mates and that whim has turned into an obsession to find every single book in the series. I was ensnared by the way the hero, Liam Morrissey, viewed the heroine, Kim Fraser, in the first chapter and how quickly her life spiraled out of control. In her ignorance, she blithely went from the pan into the fire. My favorite thing is that she dragged the hero into the fire with her, making their relationship smoking hot. It was very fun reading.

Ms. Ashley created a new and vibrant world with Pride Mates and she did an amazing job of introducing all the new rules and regulations of this alternate United States in a very natural and smooth style. What struck me was the unfairness for the shifters. The author must have researched deep to get the details down to the degree they were. Reading about all the restrictions on shifters gave me a claustrophobic feeling and I didn’t like that. Neither did the shifters, which means the writing clearly got the point across to a reader. They were treated as less than second class citizens and faced prejudice at every turn. It was very sad, and it made me angry too.

I liked the mix of magic, the disinformation and misdirection that the shifters had to employ against humans, and their secrets. Secrets can be a good and bad thing and for the purpose of this story,

Ms. Ashley had some of her characters privy to some very bad ones. It’s those very nasty secrets that set the wheels in motion and pushed Kim into the fray.

I enjoyed Kim’s character. She is stubborn, determined, invested in seeing justice done and has ideals and beliefs that justice should and would prevail. She has the moxie to stick by those ideals making her someone to respect but by the same token, makes her a target by people who have no intention of justice seeing the light of day. That is one of the main plot conflicts in Pride Mates and it’s fascinating to watch unfold. It’s good that she’s well educated because everything she’s learned, everything she fought for to get where she was in life, was going to be tested in a most profound manner.

Kim’s fortitude is severely tested by hunky, Liam Morrissey. He’s the go-to guy for shifters and there’s a reason for that which is revealed towards the end of the book. The big reveal was quite exciting and a real page flipper. Before that can happen, however, the hero needs to do a lot of re-thinking about his life, his goals, what’s really going on and also had to face divisions of loyalty. It’s a lot to carry on one’s shoulders but the author created a very capable character that I enjoyed getting to know. One of the best parts was watching him get flustered over his attraction to Kim. He’s very torn because he’s shifter, she’s not, and he’s not sure what to do about it or even what he can do. The whole process of falling in love was quite entertaining. Liam resisted as best he could, as long as he could but eventually, as with all good alpha heroes, he succumbs to the inevitable. What man can resist a healthy dose of lust?

The evil plot came from an unexpected source and what it turns out to be will have lasting ramifications for future books in the series. In this installment, it ramps up the violence quotient so there is a lot of drama and intensity to the telling of the story. Suspense, fighting scenes and tension are well written so a reader is in for a gripping tale. During the down times, other well written scenes include the physical passion between Kim and Liam. I looked forward to those parts because they were emotional and full of feeling, not to mention, quite steamy and satisfying. There is a secondary romance percolating between Liam’s father and their neighbor. Not sure where that one is going but it provided an interesting family and community element to the novel.

As for other secondary characters, I liked Liam’s brother, Sean. Tall, stoic and handsome, the poor guy’s job is a buzzkill for romance. It’s going to take a special kind of woman to be able to bring a smile to Sean’s mouth and a twinkle in his eye and I can’t wait to read the next book because it’s about him.

Ms. Ashley’s talent in creating him and the tease at the end of this story insured an auto-buy for Sean’s story in Primal Bonds. I’m so excited!

Pride Mates is a sure pleaser and a must read for fans of paranormal romance. It’s sexy, hot, exciting and populated with wonderful, well drawn characters. The plot made it hard to put down and the saucy relationship between Liam and Kim made the book a joy to read. It has effective and gritty dialogue when a scene needs it, with sensual teases and genuine humor lightening up the flow allowing a reader to get to know what makes the hero and heroine tick. Ms. Ashley has world built an amazing and rich background for her characters to play in and readers are in for a treat when they pick up their own copy. If this is the quality that I can expect in the next book, then I’m going to be a happy camper for a long time because there is a ton of possibilities for this series, and I can’t wait.

A topless dancer plus a cynical cop doesn’t equal a lifetime love…or does it?

There’s more to Jude Nelson than just a sequined thong. She has big dreams of becoming an artist. There’s one tiny wrinkle in her plan-she’ll never forget the bloody image of her friend’s battered body in the dumpster.

Who can a nude dancer turn to for help? Certainly not a hardened undercover cop…

Detective Drew Alwyn is on the case to find out who murdered his good friend and fellow officer. But the moment he sees Jude, he can’t look away. He has to decide which is more important-his dedication to his job or the girl who holds his bruised and battered heart.

Will these two opposites come together to solve the case or will their desire consume them?

It’s business as usual at the Silver Steel Gentlemen’s Club, a fact the Carrington Falls police department wants to change. After finding the bodies of the last undercover officer and his lover in a trash compactor behind the club, the department is stepping up its program to get the goods on Salazar “Tiny” Balthazar and finally put him out of business. As the new bouncer at the club, Drew “Ramon” Alwyn is determined to stop Tiny, and there are several others in place as well. When Drew spots Jude “Judy Blue Eyes” Nelson, it’s lust at first sight, but he can’t let his attraction to the beautiful and sexy stripper sidetrack his mission. However, things aren’t all they appear to be, and not all the cops here are the good guys. When Ramon discovers the secrets Jude hides, he falls even harder, but knows he can’t protect her and do his job as well. Can a stripper and a jaded undercover cop find common ground? Will Drew lose the woman he has come to love when he tells her the truth? Can these two manage to, finally, bring the bad guys down and still find a way to a happy ever after?

Wendi Zwaduk returns us to the dark, twisted noir setting from Over My Head, with many of the same characters and places we have visited before. There’s the same dark, gritty and dangerous feeling to this one, and I enjoyed the return, after the nasty shock of the beginning. That is just one of many secrets, twists and mysteries present in this, and the danger and action kept me reading, needing to know what was next. Every time I thought I knew what was next, Ms. Zwaduk sent me in another direction completely. I really like that in a story, not being able to predict every move. The characters, both new and old, are expertly detailed, and very believable.

Jude Nelson is beautiful, sensuous and very good at what she does. One of the dancers at the Silver Steel, she is not what she appears to be: in fact she is an art student, just working to finish her degree. Despite her job, there’s an innocence about Jude, a sweet and shy demeanor away from the club. She’s determined to get out of the business just as soon as she finishes her classes. I like Jude, with her strength of character and her determination. She is loyal, and has an inner strength to see things through.

Officer Drew Alwyn, or Ramon, is a strong and determined character. He is set on bringing down the drug ring and the head of it, to make sure his friend did not die in vain. When he sees Jude, he is drawn to her, knowing only that she is a dancer at the club, but quickly seeing past the front she has built to keep men at a distance. I liked Drew’s sense of duty, and his inner fight to find a way to get the ‘bad guys’ but also to get the girl. I liked watching as he slowly let little pieces of the real man shine through to Jude.

Like the first book, there’s a dark and dangerous thread running through this story. Once I started reading, I saw that everyone had a secret side, and some were very much darker that I originally thought. The secondary characters were as well defined as Jude and Drew, and some of the motivations behind their actions were what you would expect, but not from who I thought it would be. Jude and Drew have a hard road, but they do find their way to be together, and at least have a happy for now. There are more twists and secret, but you need to read this for yourself to learn the whole story.

Yep, the ladies seem to love the furry Fuzzy…so why does he feel like he’s missing out on something? And why does a surprise dinner with a strange man hold more interest for him than the flirty, available waitress?

Geoff knows who he is and what he’s after. He’s searching for a big hairy man to wrap around him. He just hasn’t found one that piques his interest…until he is manipulated into having dinner with Fuzzy—definitely not something to complain about. Fuzzy is tall and broad and proclaims to live up to his name. Everything that Geoff wants in a boyfriend. Except, Fuzzy happens to be straight.

When the opportunity arises for Fuzzy to crash at Geoff’s apartment, Geoff works his derriere off to see what other things can arise. And prays that he can capture his Fuzzy Wuzzy all for himself.

To quote the A-Team’s Hannibal Smith “Don’t you just love it when a plan comes together?” I know Geoff and Fuzzy sure do! Wait, the hero’s name is Fuzzy? Like the bear? Yes, yes it is – but don’t you dare finish that rhyme! Fuzzy’s a sweetheart but he’s no push over.

Actually, Fuzzy isn’t even his real name but it is appropriate on a couple of different levels. His real name is…wait for it…nah, I’m not going to give it away. If you’ve read this author’s stories before you know she’s witty and clever. There are parts of this book that made me laugh for no other reason than because I can only imagine how much fun she had writing this last story. At first I couldn’t reconcile a hero named Fuzzy but as I got to know him better, it’s actually perfect, he is after-all, to Geoff’s great delight, a bear.

Speaking of Geoff, he’s a great match for Fuzzy because he appreciates the qualities in Fuzzy that other’s who “know” him often overlook, even Fuzzy’s boss Emery. In this terrifically crafted triangle, Geoff is Ritchie’s assistant and for all of 10 minutes, his date. You can see how Emery and Ritchie’s story plays out in Emery’s Ritches and that’s also where I first met both Geoff and Fuzzy. Geoff’s Teddy picks up where they first meet one another at a steakhouse near Geoff’s apartment. Ms. Fellows created a stream of circumstances where by which Fuzzy ends up at Geoff’s place for the night. I could tell from their initial conversation at the restaurant that they were going to fun to watch.

Geoff is gay. He doesn’t try to hide it from anyone, not even Fuzzy, who he isn’t sure is even bi-curious, much less gay. At the same time, he doesn’t try to force anything on Fuzzy, which would be kind of funny considering their size difference. Fuzzy tells him more than once that he could pound him into the ground if he wanted to. He calls Geoff  “lil man” and it comes off as such a sweet endearment I couldn’t help but smile when he says it.

While I enjoyed the beginning of the story a lot, it was how Geoff and Fuzzy went from having some lovely chemistry into a full blown relationship that’s the real meat of this novella. As I said, Fuzzy isn’t a push-over, not to his parents (who are actually pretty fun) or his co-workers. His relationship with Geoff is very natural feeling in that there are obstacles along the way and a lack of communication never fails to cause issues. It’s the characters attitudes and resolve that make the difference and made this a truly enjoyable read.

Writers amaze me with their ability to create multiple story arcs that play out over a series of books and draw them together into a seamless creation. I’m always a little leery of picking up a new series if I know going in the author attempted synchronicity. If done well, you end up with a beautiful picture, full of life that flows from one POV to another telling a complete tale. There’s a sense of completeness when you close the last page. On the other hand, if done poorly, the effect may be more like Jackson Polluck’s surrealism art than Michelangelo’s pictorial Sistene Chapel.

So where does author Havan Fellows’ Synchronous Seductions series fall? After having read all three novellas, most certainly she has done well. The series name describes the flow of this triad of short stories to a tee. Beginning with Harlan’s Ryde, to Emery’s Riches and finishing with Geoff’s Teddy, I have honestly enjoyed her writing and look forward to seeing where she goes from here. If you’re looking for an up and coming new writer, Ms. Fellows is one to follow.

Alexandra “Lex” Lexington is on the run. She thought she could handle the stalker that dogged her every step. Realizing how wrong she was, she sought the protection of her brother, John. New problems arise, namely John’s sexy security specialist, Adam Manchester. Buried desire for the infuriating man have risen to the surface and Lex institutes a plan of seduction that he’ll never see coming.

But her stalker has found her again with deadly intentions.

Adam Manchester handles John’s security for the Lexington Corp. He and John have been friends since childhood, and he knows the family well. Lex, she’s special, and not just to her brothers, but to him. Just not in a brotherly fashion. Now John is asking him to look after her while he’s away on business. Adam’s problem—how does he watch the woman that he desires to possess without acting on those long denied feelings?

Adam Manchester is the right hand man of John ‘Lex’ Lexington who owns and operates Club Lexx. John has asked Adam to help run the club for two weeks while he goes away on business. Adam of course agrees until he walks in and finds John’s little sister Alexandra standing on top of the bar holding a staff meeting. It would appear that Adam has to work with Alexandra, while John is out of town, which does not go over well with Adam. Alexandra is thrilled that she’s in charge and Adam will be working with her, especially since she had a thing for Adam when she was seventeen years old, and that thing has not gone away. Adam also remembers and decides to keep his distance because he does not want John to kill him for messing with his baby sister.

John also has another reason for having his sister there, she’s being stalked by a past lover. Adam has to keep her safe and tamp down his attraction to Alex even though the chemistry between them was evident. He wanted her just as much as she wanted him and it was amusing when they did get together and forgot to take their earpieces out. Let’s just say the staff got an earful! The supporting characters, especially the stalker and Alex’s other brothers, Donovan and Zachary, added dimension to the story and helped you understand Alexandra much better.

The story was well written and it did keep my interest from beginning to end. I really liked Adam and Alex. Even though he didn’t want to disappoint her brother, Adam couldn’t deny his love for Alex and when he finally gave in he made sure that he fulfilled one of Alex’s fantasies which turned out to be really hot. This was an excellent read and I look forward to reading more books in the ‘Club Lexx’ series.
