As a warrior of his race, Yuri Stanalovic has always completed each assignment as expected, regardless of his needs or feelings. So, when tasked with a mission requiring his special gift, Yuri immediately accepts and heads out to France. The Grand Duc Dominic Reynard Courtland Aldrich spent most of his life in the best boarding schools in England preparing to fill the role of heir to the throne. After his parents were murdered as a child, Dominic lived a lonely life, without love. Spending most of his life heeding the council of his parent’s advisors, Dominic began to lose his true self. When Yuri discovers the life of the Grand Duc is in his hands, he wants nothing more than to keep Dominic safe. But can love prevail when it has been denied for a lifetime?

There’s just not a whole lot to do sexually that Joyee Flynn does not have in this book. The scenes are smoking hot, so if you enjoy adventurous rendezvous, this book will not disappoint.

Love’s Denial is the third in the Warrior Camp series of books. The book is full of “sex god” level vampires. What I like most about Ms. Flynn’s books is that they include characters from her previous books. If you fall in love with the couple or group in the first book, you don’t have to say goodbye, as their happily ever after continues.

Yuri is the first to be introduced in this tale. While he’s the typical alpha male, his longing for something more than one night stands is obvious. Dominique is a complicated submissive since he’s royalty and totally in the closet. The M/M genre of books is overflowing with characters who follow the pattern of dominant, masculine male meets submissive, sensitive almost “damsel in distress” male. Joyee Flynn is fantastic about blurring these lines by creating realistic, developed personalities who are both dominant and sensitive; submissive and masculine.

Attention to detail is paramount in importance to me as it lends legitimacy to any story. This is Joyee Flynn’s strong suit. You’ll find that she explains the “gifts” her vampires possess in amazing detail. She even goes so far as to include a flight schedule with times in different countries, and I checked: she got it right.

If you’ve read her previous books in this series, you’ll be glad to find that Alexander, Dimitri, Matteo, and Nate are active participants in this book. Keep in mind that this is a book about warriors, and as such, includes combat and violence. It is my opinion that the action helps move the book along, and is not secondary to the love scenes. There are several different types of sex scenes in this book from rough, voyeuristic encounters, to tender lovemaking. All are amazingly detailed which makes sense with this particular author.

I am giving this book four cherries only because I am comparing it to her other works. Love’s Denial is a fast paced, intensely erotic book that will get your heart pumping. This is a must read for any M/M enthusiast but I do recommend reading the first two in the series before indulging in this book. I’ll close with my favorite quote from the book: “I’m not an easy man…but I promise to give you every part of me if you’ll keep my heart safe.”

They have a history. A future may be more than she’s willing to give.
Haven Reynolds is stunned when her ex-lover Eric Viera turns up at their mutual friends’ wedding. Her sources told her he was safely a continent away, doing his anthropology thing. Instead she’s scrambling to figure out how to fend off his particularly potent brand of charm.

At least, that’s what she tells herself.

Several months in a Costa Rican jungle hasn’t dulled Eric’s memory of the two weeks he spent with the sexy spitfire. He’d even enjoyed the challenge of breaking through her walls—the warm, passionate woman he’d uncovered had been worth the effort. He’d like nothing better than to pick up where they left off, except those walls are back in place, stronger than ever.

Much to Haven’s dismay, Eric takes her in his arms for a rehearsal-dinner dance. In a split second, it all comes back—the memories, the lust and laughter, the intimacy and control she’s never allowed any other man. Falling for him again is out of the question, but a weekend of hot sex is an indulgence she can’t resist.

Except Eric hasn’t come back to Texas just for the wedding. He’s come for her.

If you want a story full of heat and heart, then look no further than Two Step Temptation. This isn’t a story for hardcore erotic readers – the sex is pretty vanilla and straightforward, but the story grabbed me right by the heart and didn’t let go.

Sometimes I read stories and think, “Why don’t they see that they’re in love with each other? It’s so obvious!”. This was one of those stories. The hero was amazing, and I fell half in love with him myself. The online stores also deliver the cialis buy india good quality herbal supplements to keep well the system of the body. In this day and age, Haven’s concern didn’t feel entirely authentic. And worse, I could see how it tore at our hero, Eric’s heart every time she told him that she didn’t want to “go public”.

Eric was incredibly understanding, truly romantic and oh-so hot. Sexy, concerned, and always ready. Where author Emma Jay excelled was in building the sexual tension with little touches, a glance, a word. For the first several pages, I held my breath … waiting. I shivered with Haven when Eric touched her face or whispered in her ear. How could she resist?

Thankfully, she didn’t for very long and where the tension was amazing, the sex was even better. Perhaps it was “vanilla”, but Ms. Jay didn’t waste an opportunity and skillfully placed us right in the bedroom (and a few other places) with Eric and Haven. With evocative descriptions, she helped me feel each brush of their fingers, each shiver of need, each hot, desperate kiss.

Even better? The ending was sweet enough to make my heart sigh.

So, if you’re looking for a smoking hot romance that covers all the bases, I highly recommend Two Step Temptation. It’ll satisfy you, body and soul.

The absolute last thing Laney wants or needs is an Alpha werewolf. She fled a life of abuse and neglect at the hands of one, so there’s no way she’s interested in letting another into her life. Not even a sinfully gorgeous specimen. Uh-uh, not interested, not in this lifetime…

Then she meets Cooper Brady—and the man is delicious. Good sense is overwhelmed by the need to touch him, taste him, and perhaps a night of hot, melt-in-your-mouth sex is just what she needs. It’s just a one-night stand after all, no strings attached, no messy goodbyes. Perfect.

Well, it would have been if he wasn’t her mate. Mated life has its upsides, like sizzling, addictive, overwhelming sex—yummm. But lust can’t help her convince Cooper not to wrap her in cotton wool, it can’t help her tame or avoid bitchy packmates and it definitely can’t help her figure out who’s trying to scare her with nightmares from her past.

But hey, it sure does help.

Laney is a werewolf looking to make a life for herself away from the pack that abused her consistently when she was younger. Problem is that the trauma has left her with having to constantly look over shoulder in fear that the Alpha will try to bring her back. She also becomes extremely self-conscious, socially closed off, and paranoid. In effect, she believes in what her abusers had often told her and now just lives to survive each day.

Cooper is a strong Alpha werewolf looking to prove himself to his family by running his own pack. Neither understands what it means to have found their mate and how truly life changing that is, but they will.

Ms. Roberts does pack a surprising emotional punch to her story with Laney’s story of abuse. It is very moving and it’s easy to see why she reverts to some of her old ways when out of her comfort zone. It’s unimaginable what she endured and by whom, but I think that’s why I found it difficult to believe she submits to Cooper so easily. She’s had to fend for herself for so long that I would’ve expected her to want to be more independent and perhaps a little more headstrong and defiant. While having Cooper step in and try to right some of the wrongs that have happened to Laney is very heroic; the problem is that he treats her too often like a child and her brothers do the same. His domination of her just seemed to me like a different type of abuse than from the one that she previously suffered. The characters, separately, do have some redeeming qualities, but as a couple, they are just a little too unreal.

The story itself can be at times quite depressing but the mystery surrounding some unusual events is what kept my attention. I really wanted to know “whodunit” and more importantly why. While I wouldn’t recommend this story for readers looking for a quick and light shifter read, I would recommend to those looking for a story with lots of steamy sex and plenty of tender moments.

Field Journal of Jonathan Orms, 1893

En route to polite exile in the Galapagos Islands (field work, to quote the dean of my university), I have found myself marooned on a deserted tropical paradise. Deserted, that is, except for my savior, a mysterious American called Marcus. He is an inventor—and the proof of his greatness is the marvelous new clockwork arm he has created to replace the unsightly one that was ruined in my shipboard mishap.

Marcus has a truly brilliant mind and the gentlest hands, which cause me to quiver in an unfamiliar but rather pleasant way. Surely it is only my craving for human companionship that draws me to this man, nothing more? He says a ship will pass this way in a few months, but I am welcome to stay as long as I like. The thought of leaving Marcus becomes more untenable with each passing day, though staying would be fatal to my career…

Take two Victorian era gentleman scholars — one a mechanical genius and the other wounded physically, mentally, and emotionally when his fiancee left him after an accident took one of his arms — put them together on a lush tropical paradise of a deserted island, and what you get is an exciting yarn full of passion, adventure, and unexpected tenderness.

Jonathan tells the story in first person about his wonderment when, after being sure he was going down with the ship in a storm, he awakes in an abode full of books and clockwork devices, the home of a Marcus, a caring man who has stayed there by choice for many years in order to live his life in peace and not have to hide his true self from polite society.

As Jonathan heals from his shipwreck and learns to become more skilled with the new arm Marcus has made him, the two work on the project that is dearest to Marcus’ heart: clockwork wings that will help him fly. Jonathan feels stirrings deep in his gut when he thinks of Marcus, the same stirrings he’s felt before in the presence of men whose brains, work, and manner he admired, but it comes to realize that it may be something more. Christine Danse’s exotic story was all I hoped for and more after I read the blurb. It is a joy to watch the friendship, trust, and caring of the two men develop, and to see their growing need and desire for one another, emotionally as well as physically. Both men are well rounded and well drawn, and it was easy to see what attracted them to each other on all the various levels.

The love scenes are both sensual and tender, and the steampunk aspects, descriptions of Marcus’ machines and their workings, are well explained yet not overdone. The language fits the time and mood of the story wonderfully without ever being clunky or burdensome. My only regret was that the story didn’t go on longer, but it made me smile, laugh, and maybe even swoon just a bit.

For readers who want something a little different that still includes a solid romance, Island of Icarus is an excellent choice.

Beauty is only skin deep…until love reveals what lies beneath.

As mob boss Yvgeny Mosko’s open secret, Dylan Anderson is happy enough with a passionate, if loveless, arrangement that affords him a life of luxury. But at thirty-six, he wonders how committed Mosko will be to an aging lover.

He finds out when a rival gang kidnaps him in a turf war everyone’s sure to lose. Mosko unleashes deadly force, leaving no one alive except for a young man whose dark eyes tug at Dylan’s heart—and the conscience he thought he’d excised long ago.

Though he tried to stop the kidnapping, William “Memo” Escobar knows Mosko will use what’s left of him to send a powerful message to his rivals. When Mosko’s pampered pretty boy risks everything to help him escape, he can’t believe his luck.

William figures he’s better suited to life off the grid, but as the days go by he begins to realize Dylan’s beauty is more than skin deep. And as Dylan coaxes more and more beguiling smiles from William, he yearns for things—like family ties—he’d thought were best forgotten.

Yet behind their newfound happiness lurks the certain knowledge that no matter how careful they are, Mosko will come for what’s his.

Be prepared to be seduced by this dark story. Dylan Anderson, the boyfriend of the gang leader, is caught in a turf war between gangs. Dylan isn’t really who he says he is and I wasn’t sure even Dylan remembered who he was at times. In a trip back to his past, Dylan reconnects with the person he used to be before he moved to Vegas and comes to terms with a past he wants to leave behind.

My only issue is that with the tagline William never has to hear “size doesn’t matter,” I expected a lot more from the romance. Instead, it never really wowed me and the relationship between Dylan and William is lukewarm at best. This book is still an amazing story, the twist and turns keeping me on the edge of my seat. Of course since Mosko is a gang leader, he can’t just let Dylan go without retribution and the ending came as a shock to me.

Ms. Maxfield has created a story that kept me glued to my reader until the last second with all of the twists and turns. If you enjoy gay fiction with a strong romantic elements, you enjoy this book and I highly recommend it.

Reader Advisory: This book contains anal sex and a little harmless domination.

Careless Whisper is a delightful romance from Wendi Zwaduk. The character development is terrific, and I enjoyed trying to guess which ones were alive. There is a fun combination of spirits and live people in this, and they appear at the most interesting points in the story.

Ryan Black sees dead people…well, the spirits of dead people anyway. He has incorporated his ‘gift’ into his career, and hosts the most popular reality show on cable TV. But he is trying to find a way to help his late wife cross over, so she will stop haunting him and he can move on with his life. Preferably with his Spirit Mate: that one person who understands him and will share his life forever. He had thought it was Felicity, but she was gone now: even when she was alive, she cheated on Ryan. Now, she’s back and alternates between telling him to move on, and clinging to him to stop that from happening.

For the first time, Ryan has found someone alive who warms his heart, and turns him on. Samara Jacobs doesn’t believe in what Ryan does; she thinks its all fake. But she has the same talent as Ryan, and doesn’t know it. Nor does she know she is Ryan’s Spirit Mate, a fact Ryan plans to change, if he can just convince his dead wife to move on. Buy ED medications cheap viagra australia onlineThe presumed brands of ED pills have introduced their products by means of your chest resonating cavity is the only answer if you are serious about ending your discomfort. There are many sexual problems through cialis online which people communicate with one another, and even shop for necessities. Can Ryan convince Samara he is the only man for her? Can they get past the trouble Felicity keeps throwing at them? Will Samara accept that she has a gift like Ryan’s?

I like the world Ms. Zwaduk has built, a mix of fantasy and reality that strikes the perfect balance for readers. I liked that her two main characters, although perfect for each other, weren’t perfect people.

Samara Jacobs is the skeptic, the non-believer. She has a problem believing that Ryan could be interested in her, because she feels she’s not attractive. She has a sense of humor, and is determined to take care of herself. She has confidence in her abilities at her job, but not as a woman. She is sassy and hides behind her humor, when what she wants is to be loved for who she is.

Ryan Black is a handsome and sexy guy. He is also able to see the spirits that walk the Earth, and in some cases, help them move on. But he is stuck trying to decide what to do about his dead wife Felicity: be true to her memory or move on? I like that he is not Mr. Perfect, confident and sure of himself. He comes off a bit cocky at first, but as the story goes on, you see that it hides his insecurity.

The secondary characters are well crafted as well, although many are actually spirits. I loved the scene where Ryan is talking to Matilda Snodgrass, the office gossip and Samara comes in and sees them talking: she doesn’t realize Matilda is a spirit, and she can actually see her. That is the first hint that Samara is more than just a normal woman, and is actually Ryan’s Spirit Mate. There are several intriguing twists that come between Ryan and Samara, and for a bit it looked bad for them. I enjoyed watching these two go head to head and learn to care about each other, and when they finally get together, the heat level is off the charts.

I recommend this for all those folks who like their heroes just a little less than perfect.

Catching An Evil Tail is written in first person, from Jessie’s point-of-view. Despite this, the author does a fairly good job in giving us enough detail to get a feel for the other characters as well. The plot flowed well enough to keep me interested, but there could have been a little more excitement. There were times when I felt pertinent scenes were rushed over and less important ones dragged out. Some editing errors caught my attention, mostly missing words, but they weren’t overly distracting.

My biggest beef with the story was with the main character herself, Jessie. I liked her as a person, but her back and forth moods about her boyfriend made her sound too wishy-washy. She supposedly loved Drake with all her heart, yet allowed herself to be kissed and fondled by two other men during Drake’s absence. One minute she despises Jeremy—and lets him know it—the next she’s allowing him to kiss her. No wonder the guy won’t give up. Taking into account she’s half-demon, you do have to make allowances for her sexual nature. The fact that her boyfriend has been gone far longer than he’d promised, and he’s sketchy at best as to why he’s delayed in coming home, I can see where she begins to get confused and distrustful.

Over all though, I enjoyed Catching An Evil Tail. There were a few lingering loose ends, but the main dilemmas were addressed. The ending definitely leaves it open for another story. I hope Ms. Abshire has something in the works. I’d like to see a little more of these characters in future tales.

Nail polish, makeup, hair extensions, cute little skirts, a new life in a new city…what else is a guy to do when someone is trying to kill him?
Nicholas Rylander watched his best friend get murdered and now he’s in hiding…as a woman. He’s had hair extensions put in, acrylic nails applied, and a custom bra fitted to give him breasts. He’s even moved across the country and found an apartment as Nicky, a hot girl in a short skirt.

Nicky’s only problem? He’s met the man of his dreams and Seth thinks he’s a girl. Telling Seth the truth could get them both killed but if he doesn’t Nicky could lose the best thing that ever happened to him.

There’s absolutely nothing better to me than being challenged by the ideas presented in a book. Stormy Glenn’s My Girl goes beyond the typical boy meets boy, to explore social norms and the reasons behind them. The lovely surprise is that this book is also smoldering, sexy, and in places, an outright hilarious read.

In the beginning of the book, Nicky is introduced as a beautiful woman. Seth, a confirmed gay man, finds himself captivated by the very lovely, very female Nicky. I imagined it would be quite difficult to suddenly be attracted to a woman for Seth. Ms. Glenn fleshes this emotion out in such detail, that I now know exactly how that would feel. I eagerly anticipated the moment where the main character realizes that he’s made a huge mistake, and finds himself in the unenviable position of having to plead for a second chance. I wanted to hand Seth his head on Nicky’s behalf, but soon found myself rooting for them both to have their happily ever after.

The real meat of this tale revolves around the fact that a man and a woman enjoy greater freedom to express their affection for each other in public, than their same-sex counterparts. In fact, they exhibit the same kind of capacity in the treatment of the ailment. viagra 100mg price Be attentive to each other- continue reading my drugshop purchase levitra online Ignoring what your partner says may lead to distraction and distances. I love how Ms. Glenn uses the characters, and their different perspectives, to explore the ideas of injustice and social boundaries. Nicky and Seth must both evaluate how they feel about their roles, especially Nicky who must cross the line, and pretend to be something he’s not. You’ll find the detail is superb, and was obviously well researched.

Let’s not forget the steamy scenes that keep me coming back like an addict for more of Stormy Glenn’s books. Talk about heart pumping, shock to the system, “wish you had some of that” sex. If you’re looking for a book that produces longing like this, get this book…today. Ms. Glenn’s ability to weave an intensely compelling situation with levity is refreshing. It definitely added to the development of Seth and Nicky’s relationship to be able to laugh during their lovemaking.

This book had just the right amount of heat, wit, and brain percolation time. There’s plenty of action to keep the reader turning the pages to see what happens next. I’m giving this book a rating of 4.5 cherries only because I’ve read many of Stormy Glenn’s books, and use those as comparison. I’m happy to recommend this book to you, I know you’ll enjoy it. As this is my first review with this site, I’ll begin a tradition by closing with my favorite line in the book: “If it makes you feel any better, I’d hold hands with you no matter where or how we looked….and I don’t care what anyone says about it.”
