Seth has led the Immortal Guardians for thousands of years. With them fighting by his side, he has protected humans from psychotic vampires, defeated corrupt mercenary armies, defended military bases under attack, and more. But the latest enemy to rise against the Immortal Guardians has proven to be a formidable one, wielding almost as much power as Seth. His goal is simple. He wants to watch the world burn. And he will use every means at his disposal to accomplish it. Seth and his Immortal Guardians have succeeded thus far in staving off Armageddon despite heartbreaking losses. But they have never before faced such danger. Seth has only one wish: to protect his Immortal Guardians family and ensure the continuation of humanity by defeating his foe. But then Leah walks into his life and sparks a new desire.

Leah Somerson has suffered losses of her own. It has taken her a long time to rebuild her life and find some semblance of peace. Then one night a tall, dark, powerful immortal with what appears to be the weight of the world on his shoulders stumbles into her shop, and everything changes. Peace and contentment are no longer enough. Now she wants more. She wants to find happiness. She wants to erase the darkness in Seth’s eyes and replace it with love and laughter. She knows he’s different in ways that make most fear him. Even some of his immortal brethren keep a careful distance. But Leah will not. Nor will she shy away when danger strikes.

Oh, my gosh! Oh my gosh! This was so awesome! I bounced with delight when I got the book and I’m so very glad I had an actual print book to read because I actually HUGGED the book after I read the final page. Hugged it and bounced in my chair and tried to contain my squeal of joy because the whole house was asleep and it was early in the morning. Like, I started in late afternoon and read until the next day, early morning. Right before the hugging and bouncing there was a bark of laughter that shot out of my mouth at the castle scene and I clamped my hand over my mouth, afraid I had woken someone up. Nope. My mirth was undiscovered. THIS BOOK ROCKED!

Okay, comparison time. Quite few years ago, I followed a series where there was the same type of guy as Seth, sort of. You know, the one that fixed things, that everyone turned to and counted upon and never had a chance to get his own HEA, until he did. That book had a whopping of a page count too. Here’s the difference, and why Ms. Duvall’s book about Seth was perfect, eons ahead of the other in satisfaction, excitement and romance – Seth remains Seth, even though I now got to see inside HIS head. The other series, when looking out of the hero’s eyes, made the guy seem, less. He was tremendously powerful but he came across as unmanned. The level of strength from the character I’d come to expect just wasn’t there. I was devastated because I had such high hopes. Then I found out that Ms. Duvall was writing Seth’s story and I was so worried history was going to repeat itself. I am happy to say, my worries were unfounded. I hugged the book because I couldn’t hug the author in person. She managed to do EVERYTHING the other author had not – she got it right. She kept Seth as the man, hero and leader I’d come to admire, adore and yearned for him finding happiness too. Not only is Death of Darkness out-of-the-stratosphere awesome, but it hit all my happy buttons with romance, excitement and a relationship that melted my heart.

One fact I want to make sure readers understand is that this is not a standalone read. Not even a little bit. There is a direct tie-in to the previous book Awaken the Darkness which thrilled me no end. There is the villain whose arc carries through several books and fans will understand the level of evil he represents because of what he’s done and how it affects Seth. Does the villain get his comeuppance? You bet. However, it’s not as I expected. In fact, readers are going to be aghast when they get to those chapters. That’s when the action, drama, suspense and shock comes to a head. That is where I warn readers to be in a place where they won’t be interrupted as they read because you won’t want ANY interruptions. I can’t imagine fans as invested in the characters as I am would even want to blink. That’s how spellbinding, gripping, jaw-dropping and stupefying I found it to be. Make no mistake, Death of Darkness is a triumph for Ms. Duvall.

I usually talk about the characters, especially the hero and heroine. Fans know about Seth so his being sexy, larger-than-life and amazing is a given. Leah is the unknown. What kind of woman would be worthy of a man like Seth? Again, Ms. Duvall chose well. The heroine is quick-witted, loves to tease and is a delight with children. She’s strong and a perfect match for the hero. She’s got one tiny little problem. She’s human. Fans know why that’s a bit problematic. Yet, their love is so strong for each other, even when Seth gives her the inside scoop on what it’s going to be like as the years go by, Leah’s commitment to Seth is air-tight. Her love is unshakable. Actually, Leah does get shaken up a lot in this book, and I’m snickering a bit when I say that because it’s sort of a double-entendre but not in the way you could imagine. Well, okay, that might be a part of it but there’s a lot more I’m not telling you. Why spoil the fun?

The most poignant, precious and sniffle-worthy moment happens with Bastien. The cutest is Adira and the most amazing, shocking and knock-me-down-with-a-feather topic has something to do with Ami. In fact, it even shocks Seth! Do you know how hard it is to shock Seth? Seriously, this novel is a must-read just for that alone! The most suspicious has something to do with Cliff, and the most mind-boggling, eye-popping and still-scratching-my-head-over-it scene, has something to do with the Others.

Death of Darkness also has the most brilliant and dazzling plus – not one but a couple of whole chapters dedicated to the Happy in happy ever after. It’s the most complete, satisfying, loving, and joyous, festive and exuberant celebration I’ve ever had the pleasure of reading. On top of that was an epilogue that yanked the figurative rug out from under my feet. Fans are going to goggle.

Do you know there is so much MORE I could write about? Seriously, this story is chockfull of great dialogue, a solid supporting cast and more twists and turns than a pretzel. Through it all, the growing romance between Seth and Leah is sizzling, seductive and extremely satisfying. Ms. Duvall has written an epic romantic masterpiece that is proudly going on my keeper shelf. Thank you, Dianne Duvall, for giving us the perfect HEA for Seth. I am content.

It is recommended by the healthcare experts to cure sexual weakness by consuming one each two cheapest online viagra times daily for 2 to 3 months. It was just the four of them, four girls alone in the forest.

Not every camping trip is a happy one.

The character development was well done. All four of the campers were described in such vivid detail that I had clear images of who they were by the end of the first scene. As if that wasn’t impressive enough, they kept revealing new information about themselves throughout the plot that kept me wondering what they could possibly share with the audience next.

There were some things about the plot that I wished were better explained. This was most true in the final scene when the main character’s options had become limited. Either she would find a way to escape the horrors she discovered in the woods, or she wouldn’t make it home to tell her tale. I was intrigued by the predicament she ended up in, but I did wish the author had explained it all a bit more clearly.

I appreciated the way race and gender was handled in this story. There are certain things women need to think about before going to a remote or unfamiliar area, and I liked the fact that the characters discussed this so openly among themselves. It was also nice to see them acknowledge the racial diversity of the group, especially since they were hiking in a remote area and weren’t sure how or if this might affect their experiences there.

A Forest, or a Tree is a good choice for anyone who has ever felt nervous walking through the woods.

Catalina has always been afraid to use her unique powers, but when her friend’s mother and sister are murdered, Catalina risks her reputation and safety to unravel the mystery.

But behind the scenes powerful forces are at work, and one of them is Alessandro Sagredo, the Italian Prime who was once Catalina’s teenage crush. Dangerous and unpredictable, Alessandro’s true motives are unclear, but he’s drawn to Catalina like a moth to a flame.

To help her friend, Catalina must test the limits of her extraordinary powers, but doing so may cost her both her House–and her heart.

The pills help achieve multiple orgasms and add excitement to your intimacy. amerikabulteni.com purchase cheap viagra In order to reduce postoperative infection, antibiotics can be taken several days before operation, and the bladder can be flushed with antiseptic solution for half an hour before tadalafil online operation. Thus, if the mind is not in the right place, a order cheap levitra young man may experience difficulties during arousal. Ilona Andrews has done it again. She’s written a thrilling, gripping, and electrifying story. I’m blown away by her mastery of the descriptive word. The action, the suspense, the not knowing and the twist and turns of Prime politics is dizzying in its scope. 400 pages aren’t enough, and yet, they are. I feel like I am on the ground floor of something big, momentous and altogether dangerous. The Hidden Legacy series is a must read and Sapphire Flames just proves my point.

Catalina is growing up before my eyes. In the original three books in the series, she was just Nevada’s beloved younger sister with a very unique power. In this newest book, she’s owning her power, shouldering her responsibilities and starting to accept her role as Head of House Baylor. Her growing pains are real because her injuries are real. So much is thrown at her that I’m very grateful for her 3 years of training. And yet, she’s faced with so many decisions that can hurt or help the people she loves, it’s a bit overwhelming. How the author had her handling things, making the kinds of choices she did and giving me a chance to see inside Catalina’s thought processes made it very personal to me. The heroine is a heroine because she does what needs to be done in spite of her being scared, terrified and sometimes wishing it would all go away. I also appreciated that she was loyal to her family and those she calls friends. That loyalty was sure put to the test.

Alessandro is an enigma. Yes, he is sexy, strong, and off the charts magically talented. I have no idea what he can actually do but I received teases and hints with his interaction with Duncan. I get the sense that unlike his previous fiancés, he might be serious about Catalina. I hope so because I actually like the guy, even though he’s super secretive. I also think he’s really good for and with Catalina. I wish I could get into his head but this novel is first person POV so I only know what the heroine knows when she knows it. I’m as intrigued by Alessandro as she is. I totally cracked up when he sneaked a bite of Catalina’s veggie. That was one of the funniest moments in the story.

There was action, action and more action in this book. I never knew who was going to turn into what and I worried for some of the characters in harm’s way. I really wanted the heroine to rescue Runa’s family member and that was a great part of the mystery. Who did it and why? How did they do it and how can they be stopped? Tagging along with Catalina and Alessandro as they chase the clues was exciting.

I am keeping my fingers crossed that the hints of romance between the two heats up in the next book. The two of them were practically smoking from the sparks of their passion. I was worried that it would be unrequited. I worried for nothing. It’s there, it’s brewing and it’s oh so powerful. I can’t wait to see them explode. I hope they do. I had a taste of it and it wasn’t enough. I want Catalina to be 100% herself and I want the same for the hero. That would be fun because the hero is just so yummy and I think he’d make her very, very satisfied.

I assure you, Sapphire Flames is loaded with stuff to share. Like how she got a dog, what those icky bug things did, why it was so important to help Runa and how cool of a character Duncan really is. The dialogue was great and the pace was consistently well balanced. I tried to read this book in one day. I tried so hard but there was too much goodness and not enough time to take it all in. I didn’t want the story to end. I wanted to see what would happen next but the epilogue proved to me that it was impossible. I was teased with something so fascinating and unexpected I was stunned. That was when I realized what was needed – another book.

As you can probably tell, I enjoyed this novel to the max and highly recommend it. The world that Ms. Andrews has created is incredible!

She wants Season’s property to put up a strip of luxurious, lakefront condos and Charlotte always gets what she wants. She sends Rann on a mission to seal the deal. To say Rann and his mother have had a normal mother/son relationship would be a stretch…a big stretch, but he’s always done her bidding.

This time it’s different. Rann hasn’t been able to get the beautiful Season out of his mind. While on his mission to secure the property, he realizes how much Season loves the land, and…he realizes somewhere along the line, Season has stolen his heart.

He soon discovers his mother will go to any length to get what she wants…including murder. Lives spiral out of control, secrets and lies take center stage. Rann is forced to choose between his mother and the woman he loves.

And he’s forced to become as dangerous and as lethal as Charlotte.

Did you ever read a book and not want it to end? This is how I feel about this book. I actually feel like re-reading it right now. I feel like the suspense/mystery parts were so intense that I read them too fast to find out what would happen next. Now that I know how it all played out I’d like to read it slower without the anxiety and soak it all in. I also want to re-read it again because I loved Rann Brogan, the hero. I want him to talk to me the way he talked to Season, the heroine. By the way, I loved her name. Between her name, their relationship and the suspense, this is an unforgettable book. I can’t think of a better title than Season, Unforgettable, because it was.

This book packed a punch. I felt a gamut of emotions as I was reading – from happy, joy, fear, laughter, sad and, my favorite, love. The cast of characters were well developed and very relatable. I adored Season’s grandfather, Duna, who was very sweet and kind. I especially got a laugh from one of Rann’s friend’s name which is totally irrelevant to the story but I have to share. I had a secret crush on a boy all four years of high school named Heath. I’ve never met another human with that name. Seeing it in print made me laugh. Like I said, totally irrelevant but it was a flashback for me. Season, Rann and his friends also played a drinking game that I played back in the day that I haven’t thought about in years. Sharing those similarities made the book more special to me.

If the synopsis sounds interesting to you then I definitely suggest taking the time to read it. This book is impossible to predict which makes the story all the more fun and interesting. There were a couple of plot twists that I never would have guessed in a million years. This is my first Keta Diablo book and I would definitely read another book written by her. I absolutely loved Season, Unforgettable!

from Chapter 1: The Fox Family

There is no perfect family. This is a universal truth, but if the imagination of a pair of mischievous minds is added to reality, the result can be an explosive combination that shuts the door to normalcy.

Sonia and William’s marriage is an example of how patience can be extended to the absolute limits. After all, parental love can only tolerate so much nonsense from the ingenuity of their children, especially when they happen to be Julian and Nicholas Fox.

This outlandish story begins at the crazy end of a pleasant vacation. The two brothers, Julian and Nicholas, were enjoying the afternoon heat near the banks of the river that crossed their ranch. They lay in the shade of an enormous tree, listening to the torrent of water as if it were a magical lullaby.

Julian, the eldest, was twenty-one years old. He had just completed his university studies and the memories of experiences with his classmates were still fresh in his mind. Nicholas, the youngest and last of the two children, was twenty years old and he was still studying in college.

They stayed silent for several minutes with their eyes closed, hoping that a miracle would occur and the family vacation would continue for a while longer. But, resigned to returning home in just two days, they decided to make the most of nature’s sweetness.

A cup of hot, black coffee in hand and a well-earned—and desperately needed—weekend fishing trip on his mind, Tucker unlocked the front door of Wylder Rides. The smell of oil and new tires welcomed him like an old friend. He liked the peace and quiet of the early morning, the solitude before his brothers arrived.

When a breeze drifted in through the open bay door, he thanked the stars the calendar had finally flipped to October. This summer, his first in Misty Bottoms, Georgia, had been hotter than Hades. With the onslaught of autumn, though, temperatures had dipped to a less humid mid-seventies.

Still, even the Georgia low-country summer had been a hell of a sight better than the sweltering heat he’d suffered during his Middle East deployment. There the July temperatures hovered above the hundred-degree mark. Add in the blistering sun, and the place could turn a man’s hide to shoe leather in no time. Don’t even get him started on the never-ending sand that found its way into every crack and crevice on the human body and scoured exposed skin raw.
A tough place to live. A worse place to die.

Involuntarily, his hands clenched into fists. Taking a deep breath, he relaxed them. Not today. He dropped to the creeper, slid partially beneath the ’Vette, and got busy replacing the brake lines.

Southern rock blasted from his stereo. Over the magic of Charlie Daniel’s fiddle, Tucker heard a car slow, then pull in out front. Its muffler was shot. The engine knocked, coughed and sputtered, then shut down with a rattle.

Seconds later, a totally different sound caught his attention—high heels on the garage’s concrete floor. Tucker slid a sidelong glance toward the front of the bay and almost swallowed his tongue. Framed in the narrow window between the floor and the car’s bumper were a pair of legs that would have any red-blooded man drooling…and they crossed slowly toward him. Laying the wrench on the floor beside him, he gave a push with his foot and slid the creeper from beneath the car.

Flat on his back, he let his gaze travel up over a body that matched the legs beat for beat, then on to a face only angels could have created. The heart-shaped face, with its sensuous lips and the biggest, bluest eyes he’d ever seen, sent a shockwave rocketing through him. Long, pale blond hair had been caught back in a ponytail.

An illusion? Maybe he’d breathed too many gas fumes and was hallucinating?

Nope. This woman was real and, from the expression on that stunning face, in trouble.

“My car—” She waved a hand toward the front of the building.

“Could use some work,” Tucker finished, slowly getting to his feet. Wiping his hands on a grease rag, he moved toward her. “Look, we’re not a repair shop, but I can probably figure out what’s wrong. If it’s minor—”

She swayed and reached out toward the wall.

“You okay?” Even as Tucker spoke, he saw those mind-blowing eyes go blank. Dark lashes fanned her cheeks.
With a muttered curse, he lunged, barely reaching her before she hit the floor. Heart racing, he held her against him and swore again. Out cold.

“Hey, can you hear me?” He tapped her cheek but got no response. “Wake up.”

Sweat broke out on his brow. Where were his brothers? They should be here by now. What was he supposed to do with an unconscious woman? He leaned his head close to hers, relief flooding him when her breath whispered against his cheek.

A high-pitched wail split the air. Panicked, his head whipped up, and he glanced toward the beater parked out front. The driver’s side door hung open; in the back, strapped into a child’s seat, sat a little girl with her mama’s pale blond hair—a little girl winding up for one hell of a crying jag.

And the day just got better!

He shook the limp woman gently, noticed the sheen of perspiration on her face. “Come on, sugar. For God’s sake, open those baby blues.”

She didn’t.

Kneeling and taking the woman down with him, he spread an old garage blanket and laid her carefully on it, straightening the short skirt of her flower-print dress.

With his forearm, he swiped the sweat from his brow. “Hey, wake up.”

She didn’t.

Okay. Time to tackle the second half of this double-feature horror show.

Edging toward the used-up Ford Escort and its young occupant in much the same way he’d approach a suspected sniper’s nest, he pulled out his phone and hit 911.

The sheriff answered on the first ring. “Misty Bottoms Police Department. What can I do ya?”

“Jimmy Don, it’s Tuck Wylder. I’m out at my shop.” Opening the sedan’s back door, he stared at the young child, at her tear-covered face and runny nose. He’d guess her to be maybe two or three years old. An opened bag of pretzels lay on the seat. Leaning in, he grabbed one and handed it to her. She raised it to her mouth and chewed, her cries dying to quiet whimpers.

Thank you, Jesus.

“Tuck? What’s goin’ on?” the sheriff demanded.

“A woman pulled up in front of our place, and, well, she’s passed out.”

“Been drinkin’?”

“I don’t think so, but she’s hot.”

“I don’t care how good lookin’ she is.”

“No, Jimmy Don. Not hot hot, hot! As in sweating.”

“Well, why didn’t you say so?”

“I did!” Who’s on first? he thought.

“Do I hear a kid?”

Exasperated, Tucker raked fingers through his short hair, his gaze travelling over the woman. She still hadn’t moved. What a friggin’ mess!

“Yeah, you do. She came with the woman who’s passed out on my garage floor.”

“She okay?”

Tucker raised his eyes to the heavens and rubbed at his forehead. “Which one?”

“The kid.”

“How would I know? Nothing wrong with her lungs, I can tell you that.” The nagging beginning of a headache bloomed into a full-fledged whopper.

“You need an ambulance or you gonna take the gal in to see Doc Hawkins?”

“What?” Tucker pulled the cell away to stare at it. Bringing it back to his ear, he asked, “Are you serious, Jimmy Don? You want me to pick up an unconscious stranger, toss her in my car, along with the baby, and drive them into town?”

“So I guess you want me to send the town’s ambulance out there.”

“Bingo.”

So, generic Tadalis became the best option for them as a child? Chances are they will participate in a dysfunctional relationship. viagra cheap prices This lowers the patient’s testosterone levels much more quickly than most medications. sildenafil online canada Summer Jackson has never recovered from their breakup and is torn between helping Noah and being hurt all over again.

Should she trust him and give him the support he needs? Can they become a couple again? Or should she give in to her insecurities and forever wonder … what if?

Noah and Summer had been a thing many a moon ago, but some doctored photos, a stunning blonde co-star and a number of insecurities had them both blowing up and leaving the other hurting badly. Time has rolled on though, and now Noah is back in town again. Noah and Summer still desperately crave each other, but have they learned lessons from their previous mistakes?

I found this to be a fun and light short story. I was pleased that Noah and Summer’s break up was well into their past – and while the hurt and problems still needed resolving between them, the actual arguments had eased with the passage of time. The doctored photos – or more precisely, Summer’s lack of self-confidence and faith in Noah – both felt a bit clichéd and I don’t feel I’d have been as empathetic or forgiving to Summer had that all happened during the book itself. Summer having the calmness and strength from a few years having passed gave her a much more realistic and mature outlook on the situation and her being able to own up to her mistakes really helped me feel in her corner and root for her and Noah to patch their relationship up.

One of the reasons I picked this story up was because it was the second in the Bare Alley Ink series – about a tattoo parlour where the tattoo artist is a bear shifter. Therefore I was quite disappointed that pretty much none of this story revolved around either the parlour, or really anything much paranormal. I feel readers hoping for a paranormal or shape-shifter world (or element to the story) will find this lacking in that respect.

From the perspective of a romance reader though, I did enjoy how most of the plot centered around Noah and Summer reconnecting and almost starting their relationship new once again. Instead of re-hashing old arguments, or being plagued by what could have been or other far less romantic and interesting aspects which the book could have focused on, I really enjoyed seeing the two characters show each other just how much they had each matured, and how honest they were with just how badly they had missed the other. I found it sweet and romantic and a good indication that they’d both learned from their mistakes and personal issues.

With some steamy sex and plenty of emotion, this was a fun and happy contemporary story that I enjoyed.

In war-torn Kurdistan, a group of traumatized orphans is given a gift that could change their lives and the lives of everyone in the world, while in Washington, DC, an elderly woman undergoes medical procedures that radically change her life.

Change is difficult for everyone at times.

This tale did a very good job of balancing the perspectives of its two narrators, a senior citizen named Mai and a teenage girl named Vida. Mai lived a quiet, modest life in the United States, while Vida struggled to keep herself and her young brother alive in refugee camps in Kurdistan after their parents and grandmother were killed. It never would have occurred to me how much these two characters would have in common, but I kept finding small moments in one of their lives that reminded me so much of the other.

I would have liked to see more time spent explaining the technological advancements in this vision of the future. There was some fascinating stuff happening with the way certain types of technology were influencing how people went about their daily lives. It sure would have been helpful to have a better understanding of how it worked and how long people had been using it.

The ending left me wishing for more. While it did provide answers to some of my most pressing questions, I appreciated the fact that it left other questions up to the reader to figure out for ourselves. This could easily be expanded into a full-length novel, and I’d eagerly read it if that ever happens. With that being said, I was satisfied with where it ended.

One/Zero should be read by anyone who has ever had mixed feelings about how technology is changing the lives of average people.
