These are physical reason that occur ED sildenafil super active in a person, some psychological reasons are sleeping problems, tension, stress, anxiety and relationship problems can cause a lot of issues at work. The first thing that you should buy viagra 100mg do is clear your browser history because nobody wants to see that. The joining tadalafil india cialis of impacts of Sildenafil Citrate and Dapoxetine significantly enhances male sexual wellbeing. Welcome to Grizzly Cove, where the sheriff has more than the peace to protect. The proprietor of the new bakery in town is clueless about the dual nature of her nearest neighbors, but not for long. It’ll be up to Sheriff Brody to clue her in and convince her to stay calm—and in his bed—for the next fifty years or so. Yeah, that might be enough. Then again, maybe he’ll keep her forever.

Grizzly Cove…an idyllic town, established as an artist’s colony. Peaceful, but with one unusual feature…most of the residents of this small town are bear shifters, recently retired from Special Forces and trying something never done before, live together as a community. The notable exceptions to this are the fully human Baker sisters, Nell, Ashley and Tina. Ironically, they own and operate the only bakery in town.

Sheriff Brody finds Nell the most attractive of the sisters, and his inner bear says she is their mate, but he is not ready to expose the secret of Grizzly Cove to her. When a drunk koala shifter comes to the bakery and shifts right in front of Nell, the sheriff is conflicted; happy that Nell now knows his secret, but angry that the crazy Australian shifter was so careless. Nell has been attracted to the handsome sheriff, but felt that he was not interested until the episode in the bakery, now she is delighted to find that Sheriff Brody is determined to pursue a relationship with her. Can Nell accept Sheriff Brody’s other side? Will Brody finally be able to claim his mate? And will Nell need to keep the secret of the shifters from her two sisters?

Grizzly Cove is a new community crafted by Bianca D’Arc, with charismatic and intriguing characters and idyllic locations. It is an experimental town, filled with shifters and shifter magic, under the guise of being an ‘artist’s colony’ where each of the retired soldiers finds a way to be creative and contribute to the town. I loved the idea that these dangerous Special Forces shifters were using hidden talents and finding out that they were good at something besides being warriors. Ms. D’Arc has filled her town with a variety of characters, from the wood carving sheriff, the lawyer who paints and many others.

Sheriff Brody is strong and handsome, and keeps the town safe and secure. He can’t reveal his feelings to Nell, until the koala shifter exposes the shifter world right in the middle of the Baker sisters’ bakery. I like that Brody is loyal and truthful, and yet is conflicted, wanting Nell as his mate, but not willing to expose the town’s secret. And I liked watching as he took care of Nell to help ease the shock she got after the event.

Nell Baker is the eldest of the sisters, and is smart and funny and protective of her sisters. I enjoyed seeing the way she handled the shock of learning that beings of myth and legend actually exist without panicking. She is able to accept what is happening between herself and Brody, and only asks that they progress slowly. I like that, while she is worried about the effect this will have on whether she and her sisters will be allowed to stay in the one place they have been comfortable in, she wants to see where this ‘thing’ with Brody will go.

There are some fun twists in this one, from the Australian shifter who gets belligerent when inebriated, to the panda shifter and her daughter who love the sweet treats from Nell’s bakery. I like the close knit community that is forming here in Grizzly Cove, and the secrets that are slowly coming to light as we get to know the inhabitants. There are some very hot scenes between Brody and Nell, and there is truth to the rumor that, for bears, everything is better with honey. Do Nell and Brody reveal the secret of Grizzly Cove to Nell’s two sisters? You will have to read the book for the answer to that question. I recommend you run the fan on high while reading this, and be ready for lots of laughter in this romance.

Marty can’t catch a break. Unable to confess to his neighbor Kevin that it’s Kevin he’s interested in, he ends up using advice to make a move on Jason instead. He moves too slowly, though, and Kevin and Jason end up dating each other, leaving Marty out in the cold.

Everything changes the morning Jason wakes up to find Marty in bed with him and Kevin. Jason wonders whether he’s made a big mistake in committing to Kevin. Marty’s mortified—he’s wanted Jason from afar for ages, but never had the courage to act on it. And Kevin is plotting something naughty that will give all three men what they’ve wanted all along.

When Marty is dumped – again – by a fly-by-lover for being dull and clueless, he decides to really start thinking about his life. He’d never been good at making or keeping friends, and so Marty decides it’s high time he learned how to build proper, lasting relationships. Only problem is, Marty discovers that’s not something that can be learned from a book. So he decides to enlist the help of his neighbor, Kevin. Can they work something out between them?

I found this to be a really lighthearted, fun read that kept me giggling off and on throughout the story. I thought both Marty and Kevin were really sweet guys and watching them interact together – especially right at the start – was just glorious fun. There was an innocence to Marty that had me instantly liking him. While sexually and emotionally competent, Marty came across to me as not just super shy, but so unused to communicating and being more than superficially friendly that I found his attempts at being friends and connecting with Kevin really sweet and fun. And while I found Kevin far more socially adept, his eagerness and willingness to help and befriend Marty lent the story an overall positive vibe and left me thinking of the book as one of those “feel good”, pick-me-up types of reads.

Making this lovely, sweet romance even more fun – Kevin urges Marty to test out his new-found social skills on a guy he’s interested in. While Marty is interested in Kevin, he doesn’t want to lose this new, important friendship, so Marty also becomes friends with Jason. Then when Jason and Kevin meet and become friends, this starts to almost feel like some Shakespearian comedy to me. While the entire tone of the story is light, friendly and flirty, there is so much lust and attraction and friendly laughter floating around I had to chuckle with all the antics going on. I really enjoyed this – finding it almost a comedy of errors and just so much fun to read.

Readers looking for a fun, happy M/M/M Ménage story this is perfect. I loved it and have already started searching out other stories by the author. With some hot – but not too kinky – sex and plenty of parts that had me giggling madly, this is a lovely story that I will happily read again and again. Recommended.

Long and Short Reviews welcome Amy Rae Durreson, whose newest book Spindrift releases on August 12.

Inspiration

Inspiration is a funny, elusive thing. My latest ghost story, Spindrift, was written within the space of two months, from the first whim to write a summer ghost story to the end of the first draft, but its roots went back much further. I’m a wanderer and a traveller when I get the chance. There’s nothing that helps me work out the knots in a story better than a day striding across the local hills, and once a year I treat myself to a long trip to an unfamiliar part of the UK. I’ve got a backpack, a sturdy pair of boots, and an ever-growing collection of maps, so I make my way from place to place by bus, boat, and train, staying in hostels, and visiting as many places as I can cram into each day. In 2013, I ended a long trip through Lincolnshire and Yorkshire in the coastal town of Whitby, the setting of key parts of Bram Stoker’s Dracula. The town is a fascinating mixture of seaside resort, fishing industry, and tourists hunting vampires or exploring the ruins of the medieval abbey. I had one day, the first sunny day of the whole trip, to see as much as I could. I left the hostel at six that morning, carrying my breakfast down from one headland, through the winding streets, and up onto the far headland to gaze along the misty coast as I ate. It’s a stunningly pretty place, but it’s also a cruel coast, high rocky cliffs rearing out of the cold North Sea.

Later that day, I stumbled into the tiny lifeboat museum and discovered extraordinary stories of courage and self-sacrifice in the face of the vicious storms that strike that coast. I was particularly struck by the story of Henry Freeman. In 1861, on his first day as a lifeboat man, the Whitby boat launched five times to ships in distress in a fierce gale. A few years before, the crew had been sent a cork lifejacket as a sample. On this day, they let the new lad wear it. On their last launch, the lifeboat capsized. Of the thirteen men on board, only Freeman survived. There’s a painting in the museum of the women of the town gathered on the storm-lashed quay, watching in despair as the boat overturns, which directly inspired a scene in Spindrift. Freeman wasn’t scared off, but continued to work on the lifeboat for over forty years, over twenty of them as it coxswain, and was involved in several famous rescues. He wasn’t the only inspirational character I found lurking in the displays of that museum, nor, sadly, were his original crewmates the only ones who lost their lives trying to save others. All the stories moved me, and I left determined to write about those early lifeboat men one day.

After the trip, that desire slipped into the back of my mind, though I was reminded of it on other coasts when I stumbled into further stories of heroic rescues by volunteer rescuers. It’s not uncommon for bits and pieces from my trips to reappear in some form in my writing—a village in Cornwall provides the blueprint for one of my fantasy settings and another book has a detailed description of scrambling across a snowy mountainside which is actually based on a walk up Snowdon. The lifeboat stuff remained nothing but a fascinating bit of history, though. Sometimes you’re just missing an essential piece to turn that fascinating tidbit into a story.

In 2015, I went back to Whitby, this time just for an overnight stop on my way north. I had time for an evening stroll, fish and chips on the headland, and a glimpse of the abbey illuminated against the night, but it brought that earlier determination back to mind. The next morning, I caught the bus along the coast, still vaguely thinking about sacrifice, heroism and the sea. I had three possible routes planned, depending on the weather, and chance had it that I chose the one that gave me three hours in the village of Staithes. All I knew about the village was that my guidebook claimed it was pretty, it was the birthplace of Captain Cook, and it had a museum. It turned out to be one of those places which make travelling so addictive—a completely unexpected bit of magic. The village is tucked away in a break in the cliffs, houses crammed into steep streets, with steps and alleys winding between them. The harbour is small, but wrapped between two high cliffs, which were the nesting place of countless gulls. I wandered past the lifeboat station and out along the breakwater, past several artists trying to capture the view. On a warm April day, the village looked utterly serene, but when I turned around to look outwards, the coast stretched away in mist and grandeur.

The museum, when I reached it, was one of those quirky little places where every inch of available space is crammed with exhibits and information. I spent a happy hour there after I’d explored the village, and reluctantly headed back up the steep lane to the bus stop. It was a morning of pure delight, but I thought nothing more of it until, six months later, considering a vague whim to write about an artist staying in a haunted seaside cottage, I remembered the artists on the breakwater, the heroic lifeboat men of Whitby, the little museum where every detail of village history could be found if you looked long enough, and the whole plot of Spindrift clicked into place.

I based Rosewick Bay, the setting of Spindrift, on Staithes. Siôn, my lead character, has fled there for the summer, but his slow recovery from a terrible breakdown is disrupted when a ghost appears in his bedroom. Sensibly enough, he goes to the local museum to look for clues. My hour in the real museum was pleasant but uneventful, but Siôn’s life changes forever, because that’s where he meets Mattie, the ghost’s descendant, a cheerful flirt who has followed in his ancestor’s footsteps to volunteer as crew on the modern lifeboat. The two of them soon have to unravel the secret history of a relationship between an Edwardian artist and a young lifeboat man before a ghostly curse claims a life. They also manage a romantic evening wandering around Whitby, thereby justifying all those photographs I took while I was there (research! It’s all for research!).

This year my travels took me to the Ironbridge Gorge, where I filled my mind with early industry, china painting, terrible floods and landslides. I’m not sure quite where all that information will take me yet, but don’t be surprised if, in a few years time, I suddenly write something involving a blast furnace, or a ghostly painter with his mouth stained blue from lead poisoning.

8_8 amy rae SpindriftFSWhen lonely artist Siôn Ruston retreats to the seaside village of Rosewick Bay, Yorkshire, to recover from a suicide attempt, he doesn’t expect to encounter any ghosts, let alone the one who appears in his bedroom every morning at dawn. He also doesn’t expect to meet his ghost’s gorgeous, flirty descendant working at the local museum… and the village pub, and as a lifeboat volunteer. But Mattie’s great-great-grandfather isn’t the only specter in Rosewick Bay, and as Siôn and Mattie investigate an ill-fated love affair from a bygone era, they begin a romance of their own, one that will hopefully escape the tragedy Mattie’s ancestor suffered.

But the ghosts aren’t the only ones with secrets, and the things Siôn and Mattie are keeping from each other threaten to tear them apart. And all the while, the dead are biding their time, because the curse of Rosewick Bay has never been broken. If the ghosts are seen on the streets, local tradition foretells a man will drown before the summer’s end.

About the Author:Amy has a terrible weakness for sarcastic dragons, shy boys with sweet smiles, and good pots of tea. She is yet to write a shy, tea-loving dragon, but she’s determined to get there one day (so far, all of her dragons are arrogant gits who prefer red wine). Amy is a quiet Brit with a degree in early English literature, which she blames for her somewhat medieval approach to spelling, and at various times has been fluent in Latin, Old English, Ancient Greek, and Old Icelandic, though these days she mostly uses this knowledge to bore her students. Amy started her first novel twenty-one years ago and has been scribbling away ever since. Despite these long years of experience, she has yet to master the arcane art of the semicolon.

To love, trust, and smile again seems almost out of Sophie’s reach. But remembering the life of the original Persephone and her fellow immortals long ago may prove the best therapy, as well as their key to victory. In ancient times too, the murderous cult Thanatos attacked and eventually wiped out the Greek immortals who sought to bring good to humankind. But those immortals planted seeds in both their realm and ours to ensure that their season would bloom again someday. And spring is finally coming.

A great mix of old and new, but oh so realistic.

I’ve never read a Molly Ringle book before and I’m glad I rectified it. I’ll certainly go back and read the others in this series. The writing was crisp, sharp and kept me on my toes. I had to know what was going to happen next. Ms Ringle writes characters that are well-rounded and likable, even when they’re going through some serious emotional crisises.

I liked how the author moved between the present and the past, showing the different sides of the characters. While it was interesting, sometimes I did get confused. I had to reread a few times to make sure I understood what was going on and who did what. There were a lot of characters and a lot happening.

That said, I was immersed in their world and enjoyed reading about these immortals. If you want a book that will challenge, excite and enthrall you, then this might be the book for you. There’s a whole lot going on and it’s overwhelming, but very cool.

At first Matthew Mortimer doesn’t believe Hippolyta’s story, that she’s a fabulously wealthy heiress who’s been kidnapped. He assumes she’s a beggar, an actress, or worse. But once his new travel companion washes the mud from her surprisingly lovely face, and they share a breathtaking kiss, there is no turning back.

This is a must read especially for those readers who enjoyed the Duke of Sin because this novella answers the question, ‘did Hippolyta Royle actually escape?’

In this case, she went from the fat to the fire. This is a fun story because no one believes she is who she says she is, and the man who finds her doesn’t let her know who he is either. So, they both end up falling in love with who they thought they were. The conflict then switches to dealing with their shock in discovering who they really are and how they feel about it.

I adored the introduction of Tommy Teacup and the mad cap Lady Whimple and her wicked enjoyment of scandals. I also liked the additional conflict of reintroducing a damaging secret from Duke of Sin and seeing it resolved quite cleverly in Once Upon a Moonlit Night. I was very proud of both Hippolyta and Matthew.

There’s romance, seduction, fascinating dialogue and a lovely and perfect happy ever after in store for readers of this endearing novella. It’s a fast read, it’s entertaining and I enjoyed every moment. Even if a reader hasn’t had a chance to read the previous book that this novella is spun from, it’s a tale that can stand on its own. Once Upon a Moonlit Night is a treat to read and I heartily recommend it.

‘Tis far better to love in hell than to live in heaven.

Ethereal Foes, Book 1

As a demon of the Ethereal, it’s Duncan Sinclair’s job to sway humans toward the path to hell. Duncan is very good at his job–until a prank gone wrong lands him in the upper realm doing penance. Now he’s being bombarded with love, kindness, and affectionate sex…and it’s killing him. The only way out is to agree to sway souls for heaven, with an angel as his partner, by all that’s unholy.

Another study showed that men, who have sex three to four times a week, have 50% lesser death side effects from viagra rate than to those who have it once a month. It will tadalafil india cialis help you meeting the real you. Living with POTS can be very disabling on a daily basis and so it’s important for patients to understand that viagra prescription medicine does not work for some families battling high school emotional sickness or behavioral issues. Because of litholytic nature of apamarg is very beneficial in breakdown of kidney and bladder cipla cialis canada stone. Sapphira may be an angel of the upper realm, but she chafes in a bland existence where everything is so pure. It’s hard to hide her secret yearning for sin. Even harder with Duncan, who’s everything the dark core of her soul craves: handsome, sexy and refreshingly naughty.

Confronted with an angel who drinks, swears, and takes him to bliss with her sinfully delightful body, Duncan finds himself at risk of losing his heart to the enemy.

Loving this angel could land him right where he doesn’t want to be–heaven. But what’s a demon to do when he’s falling?

When a prank goes wrong, Duncan Sinclair has to face his father’s punishment for endangering his sister, even if it did result in her finding her mate. Duncan’s punishment…seven days in the custody of Uriel, the angel in charge who wants nothing more than to convert Duncan to the side of good.

As a demon in charge of swaying souls to the other side, Duncan is determined to endure the punishment and spoil Uriel’s plans. But when Uriel pairs Duncan with the lovely Sapphira and sends them to the human realm, things become complicated. Sapphira may be an angel, but she hates the rules and regulations she has to follow, and James is stunned when he finds that he is attracted to this confusing but beautiful angel. When these two work together to sway souls, James realizes that there is something intriguing and different about ‘his angel’ and decides to explore the connection he feels. Can these two find a way to fulfill Duncan’s penance and not change the rules? Will the secret behind Sapphira’s true nature be revealed? Will Duncan and Sapphira have a Happy Ever After away from the Heavenly realm, foiling Uriel’s plans?

Duncan’s Descent is the second offering in the Ethereal Foes series from Marie Harte. It is a world filled with all sorts of paranormal beings: demons, angels and other interesting characters existing alongside human kind. I like that, even for demons, there are certain rules that must be followed, and family is the first priority to most beings. I like the world Ms Harte has created, and the characters that inhabit this unique place.

Duncan Sinclair has just one job: sway souls to Hell. He is very good at his job, but when he and his brother cause a major upheaval and cause problems for Heaven, he has to pay the price for bad judgment. Duncan is strong and determined not to succumb to the ‘tortures’ administered by Uriel…love and kindness that causes him physical pain. When Uriel assigns an angel to work with him on the earthly realm to sway souls to Heaven, Duncan finds that he is drawn to the angel like never before in his life. I like Duncan, with his sarcastic wit and his strength and determination.

Sapphira is a beautiful angel, but there are secrets surrounding her that not even she is aware of. She hates the rules that she has to live by in Heaven, and is happiest when she is on the earthly plain, where she has some freedom to do many un-angelic things…drink, swear and enjoy earthly pleasures. When she is partnered with Duncan, she sees the other side of the coin, and finds that not all souls should be sent Heavenward. I like Sapphira, with her smart mouth and her attitude, and her willingness to see both sides of an issue. When she finds herself drawn to Duncan, I like that she was willing to explore the feelings between them, and I liked that she was willing to stop him when he seemed to be ready to turn ‘good’ for her.

There are some intriguing twists to this story, especially the big secret of Sapphira’s true nature. There is a buildup of passion, and when these two finally get together, it explodes like fireworks and leaves them both a bit stunned at it all. The behind the scenes manipulation of Uriel and the secret revealed by Sapphira’s mother are subtly done, and well thought out. I really loved the misdirection by Asael (Duncan’s father) about Sapphira and her possible parentage, and how it affected the principals in the story. I recommend this one be read while in air conditioned comfort, because it does get hot and steamy on its on merits.

Two girls, some fruit and an office perv—what could possibly go wrong?

When Mae finally confronts the office perv, Rory, by taking part in one of his suggestive pranks with a fig, she starts a journey that changes the way she thinks and feels about her current partner, Janey. Janey lost her sight just before they met and Mae realizes she has been keeping Janey like a prisoner in her own home—safe, protected and unseen. After the scene with Rory, Mae decides to take Janey out and show her off to the world—something she should have done a long time ago…

Mae and Janey have been girlfriends a while and are very happy with their relationship. But when Mae takes on a dare from the office perv, Rory, she has no idea how his suggestion will change the status quo of their relationship.

I found this short story to be quite interesting and different. Rory isn’t really made out to be hero material at all. Described not only as the office perv, but as lecherous and almost stalker-ish, I have to be honest and admit his character didn’t initially make a very good first impression. I did, however, like how it was clear almost immediately that there was far more to Rory’s character as that first “perv” impression made out. Mae and Janey also have their faults, both are quite jealous – Mae of Janey’s past experience with other women and Janey of Mae’s current social life and freedom at work throughout the day. This made the interactions between the characters – to my mind at least – both realistic and a lot more interesting than would first appear on the surface. These faults and issues were written in such a manner that they actually compelled my interest in reading further and discover how the story would unfold.

One thing I particularly enjoyed though – and which should appeal to most romance readers – there was never a question to my mind on Mae and Janey’s love for each other. No matter what else was going on between them – with or without Rory – the two women really loved each other and had a solid core at the base of their relationship. This helped ease me over any of my small niggles and little worries. I found their love and devotion to each other was beautiful to read.

Readers should be aware that there’s a fair bit of food-play sexually speaking. While figs are the initial instigation, Mae and Janey don’t stop there with their experimentation. The F/F main relationship between them is what the majority of the story is based upon. While the addition of Rory is consensual and teased/hinted at between the two ladies to ramp up their own sexual arousal the addition of a third and man for the ménage is the culmination of those fantasies, not the basis of the story itself. Readers who aren’t interested in F/F storylines might want to consider this when thinking about this story.

There’s plenty of lush sex scenes that should satisfy any erotic reader. All except the final climax scene were F/F, though the long-awaited ménage really lived up to the foundation that was laid for it in my opinion. A great scene and it left me satisfied by the high note the characters felt.

A steamy, raunchy short story about two committed women exploring their fantasies and some deliciously naughty sexual food-play. Add in the office perv for one night of a decadent ménage and all three of them are about to have a night of the wickedest fantasies. A sensual, sexy story that I enjoyed and found refreshingly different to so many other ménage stories out there.

The author does an amazing job at chronicling the life of Holly and bringing her emotions to the forefront. Whereas Holly sometimes makes poor decisions and has to face the consequences, the reader is placed in a position to understand the thoughts that have caused Holly to take the actions which she has taken.

The internal struggles, disappointment and fears that Holly feels are feelings that resonate with the reader. The lack of a support system, a broken family circle and the ever consuming feelings of worthlessness and abandonment from being forced from home to home tear at the heart of the reader. Jace, the appointed School Social Worker tries to walk Holly through the grief and rebuilding processes but even Jace is forced to back down when Holly is unwilling to change her actions.

The relationship between Holly and her boyfriend Zander is one that goes beyond physical attraction. When Holly and Zander first spend time together, the reader begins to understand that Zander can see the beauty that Holly hides from the world. Holly holds back, fearing the destructive cycle of abuse that she has so often witnessed her mother being pulled into. The author is remarkable in portraying the sexual attraction and the internal struggle that Holly finds herself facing.

The author vividly reinforces the ever strong tide of emotions within Holly. The constant nightmares become more and more real, the memories that Holly struggles to repress come flooding back with a vengeance. The letters that Holly writes to her mother show her inward struggles and growing feelings of depression. These all add to the outward constant struggle that the reader is made keenly aware of through Holly’s interactions. One of the greatest quotes that I found which describe Holly’s feelings is: “it felt like I was trapped in the bad memories and couldn’t escape.”

Holly is a very likable character and for those who have gone through struggles similar to hers will find that the feelings, choices and struggles presented by the author are very real and approached in a very strong way. Several times throughout the book Holly struggles to understand her own emotions which have come to torment her.

If you want to read a story where you feel you grow as much as the characters grow and you wish to feel the raw emotions stir within you just like the author describes, I highly recommend this book! I could not put it down!

When everyone has an idea about what you should do, but no one goes out of their way to stand with you, what do you do? Tabitha Cockell has been harassed and bullied since first grade. Her tormentor has always been there, lurking in the shadows and assaulting her verbally and physically whenever the chance arises.

Finding the Upside of Down is a story of hope and inspiration, of fear, distance and the struggle that pushing forward each day brings. Tabitha is a character that resonates with the reader. After years of torment and years of adult intervention which have failed to change the situation, Tabitha is tired and emotionally exhausted. When her childhood bully returns to torment her further in college and at her work, Tabitha feels she cannot continue on.

The author is amazing at portraying the painful suffering that Tabitha endures. The constant frustration of failed interventions, the constant worry that something will happen and the frustrating feeling that “if something did not happen this time, it will be twice as bad next time,” always weighs in the reader’s mind. The author realistically lays out a support network for Tabitha, one that is real in every sense of the word, yet seems to crumble when put to the test.

Finding the Upside of Down will be difficult for some readers who have experienced severe bulling harassment in the past. The realistic descriptions, the painful struggle and the constant checking over the shoulder fear that victims have felt in the past come to the forefront while reading this book.

Finding the Upside of Down is just that, finding positivity in the harrowing darkness of feeling as though you have failed everyone. I believe that every reader can identify with the struggles that Tabitha has encountered. Finding the Upside of Down is one book that can engage the reader and help break the feeling of isolation that is so common in victims of bullying.

Eli may only be thirty, but he has had enough of pretend submissives. When he spies Jarod in a BDSM club, everything about the man screams submission. So what if Jarod is probably twenty years older than Eli. What does age matter, anyway? All he can see is what he’s always wanted—a sub who wants to serve.
Jarod spent twenty-four years with his Master before Fate took him. Four years on, Jarod is still lost, so when a young Dom takes charge, Jarod rolls with it and finds himself serving again. But he keeps waiting for the other shoe to drop. Because there’s going to come a point when Eli realizes he’s a laughing stock in the club. Who would want to be seen with a fifty-year-old sub?
After several missteps, Eli realizes that in order to find happiness, they will need friends who will understand. At a friend’s insistence, he visits Collars & Cuffs, where they are met with open arms. As they settle in to their new life, Eli begins to see things differently and he dares to think he can have it all. Until a phone call threatens to take it all away….

An older sub loses his lifelong master and then loses his will to live. Could a younger Dom be the answer to his dilemma?

This story shows that age is not a determining factor when it comes to a person’s tendencies in either domination or submission. Here the older man is submissive and the younger man is dominant.

Jarod is a true submissive. He lives to serve in every sense. He’s been with his Master his whole adult life, so when the Master dies, Jarod is completely lost. Four years later he still mourns. And it doesn’t help that every time he tries to go out to clubs and find some relief in the form of a Dom, he gets laughed at, mocked, ridiculed, and berated for being too old (late forties), useless, and unwanted. Such hateful ageism from a supposedly accepting community. Guess such things exist in every community.

Yet accessories like these are worth purchase cheap cialis every penny you spend! You might wonder why hunters opt for the Nightforce Competition scope is a lightweight device that has an unbeatable clarity and exceptional performance. Eli is in his early thirties, and he’s tired of poser subs who act defiantly in the hopes of being punished with a spanking and fuck. He’s bored. When he spots Jarod at a club, he doesn’t hesitate to take the man home to be his sub. But… Jarod has his issues to deal with, and Eli doesn’t seem to understand what to do with a broken sub now that he has one. They find it difficult to talk about their pasts and what they want from life and each other. Their growing affection for one another, though, is a powerful force gluing them together.

This works as a standalone even though it’s the seventh in the series, Collars and Cuffs. The title refers to a BDSM club that houses some very special Doms and subs, and where Eli brings Jarod, hoping to give his sub a better experience than the ones he’s received in the past. The owners and many patrons become familiar as the story progresses, and their stories have clearly come before this one in the series. Though it’s not necessary to read the other books, I suggest you do. Just to find out what’s happening and who the numerous cast members are and what they’re all about. Hey, more reading goodies.

Not knowing the BDSM community well, I have to wonder if these kinds of situations aren’t more common, since an older Dom with a younger sub seem to be the norm. That when a Dom is with a specific sub for a long time, their age discrepancy automatically means that one of them will likely die and leave the other alone. I can’t even begin to imagine the emotional toll that takes on the survivor who is cast adrift. Apparently, though, that isn’t the whole case, since the capacity of the human heart to rediscover love is eternal, as this story proves. One just has to be willing to take a risk and put yourself out there again.

The plot unfolds slowly, revealing various facets of Eli and Jarod as they try to build a life together. But they both have unfinished business, so that’s not an easy task. This isn’t an insta-love story. Not even insta-lust. The two men find each other attractive right from the start but the first sex scene doesn’t come for a long time. So if you’re into instant gratification for your sexy-read jollies, look elsewhere. This tale takes patience.

The two authors seem to know their stuff. Not just in terms of personalities but BDSM specifics and the community, as Eli teaches us a few things during his lessons. For example, I’d never heard of using sounds for a session. Intriguing. The men feel real and the beautiful writing takes us right into their heads and lives. The book is written in first person from the perspective of both the main characters. Their individual voices didn’t come off the writing, per se, but on showing us how different the men are and how they deal with their problems. Where Eli puts things off, Jarod falls deeper into the mire of feeling not yet dealt with. There are serious matters at work here.

Spoiler warning! There’s an attempted suicide here, so if that theme offends or troubles you, be warned.

Though the pace is leisurely, the story moves swiftly enough. The writing is fluent and professional, and I was quickly drawn into the story, wanting to know more, read more, to be shown more, to be invited into this sensual world and to be taken for an emotional ride. Though at the times the feelings ran amok, such as Jarod being teary-eyed a lot, I understood that both men needed something elusive and had a lot going on. They only find balance with each other and are able to take each other to places they’ve never been.

Now, while I said this works as a standalone, it’s clear this series is reaching its end. If you haven’t read the previous books yet, I suggest you avoid reading the epilogue. It doesn’t show Eli and Jarod, but instead gives us a peek of what’s to come with the next book and the wrap-up of the series.

In any case, this is a wonderfully written tale of two realistic men who show us that most things in life are not dependent on age. Regardless of how many years we’ve lived, we can still suffer or fall in love or be a part of something greater. That’s a great positive message to take from this since none of us are getting any younger. I for one will be checking out the other books in the series. Highly recommended!
