My father is the alpha, a mantle my unborn brother will take one day. But as daughter of the alpha, my role isn’t yet certain.

My heart is set on becoming the beta, I want to show our kind that a female can be just as strong as any other wolf, without needing a mate to protect her.

Whatever got into you Rodney?” I smiled and told her that it was because I found her undesirable after having three children. levitra properien https://www.supplementprofessors.com/levitra-2865.html The air flows over this structure, embedded in a honey-comb like cooling order viagra australia fins, carrying coolant. The owner of a drunk penis quickly vardenafil vs viagra finds that his penis is becoming dulled and deadened to touch. But when my father is called to help a neighboring pack, suddenly everything changes. I’m thrown into a world of intrigue, deadly plots, and a fight for power.

As a female who never wanted or needed a mate, I now find myself torn between two males. One, the leader. The other, an untamed wolf.

Either way, taking a mate requires submission, and it’s not in my nature to submit. But no matter how hard I try to fight it, it seems my fate has already been decided.

A pack of wolves on the far eastern border of Ireland are going to a different pack to help smooth over a new Alpha’s rule. All should go well, but it doesn’t and that’s where this book gets good.

There were times I laughed and times I got a little irritated. Cathwulf is very stubborn. She has her way of doing things and won’t deviate. She’s seen things and isn’t willing to change her thoughts. But then she meets Roark. I liked how the author treated the characters with dignity and a deft hand. The author does something different than most shape shifter books by having wolves touch cheeks to get each other’s scent.

There were a few things that I thought could be changed. I thought some of her stubbornness could have been toned down. I would have liked to see her come to understand that her feelings for Roark were deep. I would have liked to see her support him more in the major decisions he has to make. Also, the ending was very abrupt. I was reading along and then suddenly there was the glossary. My poor pets were surprised as I shouted, “What the heck?!”

Otherwise this was an interesting story where the I enjoyed how the author gave us a peek into a real wolf pack. She gave us a different approach to wolf shifters. The characters were extremely well developed. The plot could have been fleshed out more, but it was still interesting. If you want a good shifter book to keep you busy during this time, then this book is for you.

What if Cynderella had a one-night stand with a man named Prince? When I first saw Cynderella all covered in soot in that sexy maid uniform, I knew I wanted to be her Prince. She’s a smart and savvy businesswoman who’s built her cleaning company from the ground up. But now that Dirty Damsels was booming, I’ve been hired to arrange a hostile takeover. But the temptation of having her was too much to ignore… We ended up spending one night together–a night neither of us will forget. Now, I want more. I need more. I want to spend every night, skin-on-skin, with my beautiful Ella. Problem is, when she finds out who I really am, she’ll never forgive me.

To say Ella is impulsive would be both a joke and an understatement. She’s not normally. She’s level headed, makes plans, does her research and works the plan in the most productive way. Until she meets him. Being level headed is suddenly overrated when confronted when the embodiment of the best sexy dreams.

In this day and age, women can’t do what Ella did so impulsively but in fiction it makes for some electric fantasy fuel. It’s also a fun trope to explore. Irresistible one night stand with the man who turns out to hold your future in his corporate takeover claws. Ella may have given in to his charm but she struck me as a fighter when Duncan goes after the life she built from scratch. I couldn’t wait to see how they compromised because the chemistry was too sparkling to be denied.

Duncan Prince is rumored to be a shark in the boardroom but he proves to Ella that he can be a giving lover in the bedroom. I liked that the author showed us this more human side of him before introducing the shark. I was able to formulate a much better first impression of him than maybe otherwise.

Their story has several ups and downs but it ends on a great note. Duncan proved Ella wrong on several fronts and she kept him on his toes. Their relationship development was a lot of fun to watch and easy to cheer on. While there was a good dose of conflict I never felt it weighed down the story. Readers who love a romance with a few surprises will enjoy this first book in the Dotcomgirls series.

Everything about my life has been pretty normal working as a forensic autopsy technician. Until the day I woke up with a mysterious symbol tattooed on my arm.

Suddenly normal no longer existed. The barrier between Earth and a world called Under, dissolved…

Now I’m trapped with dozens of other people. Held prisoner by the creators of myths and legends, where the realm is ruled by two masked kings who want to turn us into creatures like them.

But even though I didn’t choose to be here, this new world manages to pull me deeper, affecting me differently than other humans. Unfortunately King Edu, also known as the King of Flames, notices this and I’m now considered a threat.

If I want to survive King Edu and the dangers of Under, I need to escape. The only problem is, there’s another masked king who seems to have an interest in me. Aon, the King of Shadows, wants me here in this world, and he wants me alive.

I just need to figure out why.

Lydia is a forensic autopsy technician who wakes one morning with a tattoo on her arm that she has no recollection of having done. Things then go from bad to worse.

This is a paranormal horror story set in the world of Under. Beings similar to vampires, King Edu who reminded me of a huge troll except that he didn’t speak, shape changers, everything paranormal. The tattoo mysteriously disappears which apparently confuses the beings of Under as they believe it to be a mark that the human with the tattoo has been chosen by the Ancients. Aon visits Lydia in her dreams and he’s really nasty. The problem for Lydia is she believes both Aon and Edu will kill her but their ways are different and she doesn’t know which one will be hardest to endure.

I have to admit I didn’t understand the world-building in this book at all. There didn’t seem to be any thread linking the different scenes together or any point in the reason behind taking the humans. Perhaps a little more background to Under would have helped, but by the end of the book I was as confused as I was at the beginning. I also got confused by the many different characters who didn’t seem to be properly introduced into the story.

There are good points in the story, the scenes with Aon are very descriptive and send shivers down the spine. This book had good potential which didn’t quite come across.

A broken survivor.

Tears, heartbreak, sadness, and jubilation are waiting for you in this book!

Broken Survivor is an amazing story of challenges, frustration, of giving up and acceptance. The story follows the life of Holly Hewitt from young teenager to adult. Holly is forced to grow up quickly due to the broken home she lives in which finally culminates into the murder of her mother. Throughout the book Holly deals with the remorse of poor choices and the guilt that she has caused her mother’s death.

The author does an amazing job at chronicling the life of Holly and bringing her emotions to the forefront. Whereas Holly sometimes makes poor decisions and has to face the consequences, the reader is placed in a position to understand the thoughts that have caused Holly to take the actions which she has taken.

The internal struggles, disappointment and fears that Holly feels are feelings that resonate with the reader. The lack of a support system, a broken family circle and the ever consuming feelings of worthlessness and abandonment from being forced from home to home tear at the heart of the reader. Jace, the appointed School Social Worker tries to walk Holly through the grief and rebuilding processes but even Jace is forced to back down when Holly is unwilling to change her actions.

The relationship between Holly and her boyfriend Zander is one that goes beyond physical attraction. When Holly and Zander first spend time together, the reader begins to understand that Zander can see the beauty that Holly hides from the world. Holly holds back, fearing the destructive cycle of abuse that she has so often witnessed her mother being pulled into. The author is remarkable in portraying the sexual attraction and the internal struggle that Holly finds herself facing.

The author vividly reinforces the ever strong tide of emotions within Holly. The constant nightmares become more and more real, the memories that Holly struggles to repress come flooding back with a vengeance. The letters that Holly writes to her mother show her inward struggles and growing feelings of depression. These all add to the outward constant struggle that the reader is made keenly aware of through Holly’s interactions. One of the greatest quotes that I found which describe Holly’s feelings is: “it felt like I was trapped in the bad memories and couldn’t escape.”

Holly is a very likable character and for those who have gone through struggles similar to hers will find that the feelings, choices and struggles presented by the author are very real and approached in a very strong way. Several times throughout the book Holly struggles to understand her own emotions which have come to torment her.

If you want to read a story where you feel you grow as much as the characters grow and you wish to feel the raw emotions stir within you just like the author describes, I highly recommend this book! I could not put it down!
