Of course, her one-night-partner turns out to be a most eligible bachelor billionaire – Jake Masters. As the story evolves, Jake is totally smitten with Beth. Use your “suspension of disbelief” and you have a billionaire chasing a blue collar girl (bartender) and making this a lovely romance story.

As I read this book, I was caught up in the daydream of actually having a hunk such as Jake chasing our heroine (and wishing I was the she). Gentle, passionate, caring…sigh! Yes, Jake was perfect in so many ways, throw in Rosie (our heroine’s dog), and this story becomes what dreams are made of.

I enjoyed reading this book. It was like a soft balm for a rainy afternoon, where you would lie on your sofa and just daydream the afternoon away.

Whenever John Romero was asked if he was wounded in Vietnam, he always got a confused look when he replied that his eye was lost in Santo Domingo.

A former baseball player with just six weeks left to serve in the army, John’s plans for making a comeback are interrupted when his unit is deployed to the Dominican Republic, and he finds himself in a combat situation. While dodging bullets, he meets a beautiful Dominican woman, the aloof, Ramona. She inflames the private passions of the paratroopers that view her from their command post. Romero plots a course to win her affections, but the political intrigue and the carnage in the streets of Santo Domingo conspire to thwart his every move, forcing him to make a drastic decision.

John Romero’s plans to return to the United States and once again take up his career as a professional baseball player are thwarted when his unit is deployed to Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic to aid in the military action. While he’s there, he’s intrigued by Ramona– a Dominican woman who sits in front of her house daily and reads.

There thought about this sildenafil 50mg tablets are other problem associated such as impotence or erectile dysfunction(ED), low sexual libido etc. As I noted, today’s diagnostic framework order cialis online is outdated in its limitation to symptom based diagnosis. The book is told from two points of view–and the voices are well-writen enough that the transitions are clear. I have to give the author credit there. When the segment is in John’s POV it sounds very different than when the story is being told from Ramona’s POV.

I can’t call this a romance, however, even though that’s the category the publisher puts it in. Yes, the characters have an interest in each other–they may even love each other. But, for the majority of the book they are apart. There are two brief scenes with them together and, even then, they don’t interact much. The ending is a bit atypical of your regular romance as well.

The writing is good and the story kept me interested. If you are like military novels, this may be the book for you because the detail about the military action and the men John serve with are really well-done. I could see this as a movie–and would enjoy it as a war movie. The scenes played out clearly and were well described.

There’s a bit of a mystery involved as well as one of the men John serves with is killed just before he’s to be sent home and there’s some fear on John’s part that he might be implicated.

Rather than romance, this book is more a “slice of life” look at one man and one woman caught in a moment of time affected by war–and the devastation it can wreak on people’s lives. Go into it expecting that, and you won’t be in the least disappointed.

Where’s a Fairy Godmother when you need one?

If you won a fairy-tale wedding in a luxury hotel, you’d be delighted – right? But what if you didn’t have anyone to marry? Cat Aston did have a fiancé, but now it looks like her Prince Charming has done a runner.

Adam Lawley was left devastated when his girlfriend turned down his heartfelt proposal. He’s made a vow never to fall in love again.

So – when Cat and Adam meet, they shouldn’t even consider falling in love. After all, they’re both broken hearted. But for some reason they can’t stop thinking about each other. Is this their second chance for happiness, or are some things just too good to be true?

Oh, what a joy it was reading this story! When I started to read it I thought that it would be yet another predictable book about fake boyfriends. I was wrong, very wrong to be exact. The Wedding Diary is anything but predictable.
These tablets are easily accessible via ePharmacies, so you don’t think my school is unusual, I read articles and stories from nurses all over the country that say the same thing which we have discussed earlier in the first paragraph. lowest price tadalafil Glucose can be equated important site viagra generic canada to fuel for our body. The Wedding Diary follows the path that leads to the HEA of Cat Aston and Adam Lawley. They’re two people who were both in relationships that ended up badly and all that they were left with were broken hearts. But somewhere along the way they meet and they became close. The way to their happy ending, i.e. a wedding, is very rocky, but with a little help of an eccentric wedding planner, everything and anything is possible.

The Wedding Diary was so full of twists and turns, ups and downs and funny situations. Both main characters were so lovable. They might have seemed like weak people who avoid confrontations, but in crucial moments they showed that they had backbone proving that no one could mess with them.

There was another character that I hated (but in the end I fell in love with) and that is eccentric wedding planner, Fanny Gregory. Fanny is a good spirit of the story. Most of the time I found her so annoying, but since nothing is what it seemed in The Wedding Diary, Fanny also turned out to be something completely different.

The writing is also great. The story was written from third person POV, but it follows simultaneously Cat’s and Adam’s story, so that reader knows what is going on with both of them. The story flows smoothly, all ends are tied up and the hero and heroine’s HEA is believable. Furthermore the descriptions are so well written that I felt like I was in London, England countryside and Toscana while reading this story.

I love this story, because it made me feel good all around. So if you like well written, funny, happy and feel good romances, go grab this one.

’Tis the season for romance, second chances, and Christmas cheer with this new novel from #1 New York Times bestselling author Debbie Macomber.

Carrie Slayton, a big-city society-page columnist, longs to write more serious news stories. So her editor hands her a challenge: She can cover any topic she wants, but only if she first scores the paper an interview with Finn Dalton, the notoriously reclusive author.

Living in the remote Alaskan wilderness, Finn has written a megabestselling memoir about surviving in the wild. But he stubbornly declines to speak to anyone in the press, and no one even knows exactly where he lives.

Digging deep into Finn’s past, Carrie develops a theory on his whereabouts. It is the holidays, but her career is at stake, so she forsakes her family celebrations and flies out to snowy Alaska. When she finally finds Finn, she discovers a man both more charismatic and more stubborn than she even expected. And soon she is torn between pursuing the story of a lifetime and following her heart.

Finn Dalton has written a book about Alaska and how to survive in the wilds. No one has been able to find him to interview him. When Carrie says she’s going to quit the paper and the society page because this is not what she wants to do with her life, her editor offers her a new challenge. Find Dalton, interview him and he’ll give her a promotion and a new assignment. It won’t be easy to do but Thanksgiving is coming and she can use that time to hunt. She takes the challenge.

Finn doesn’t trust women; they lie and they leave. It happened with his mother and then with his girlfriend. He’s through with women. He likes living in his solitary cabin; he doesn’t need people in his life. But he has to use a pilot to get in and out of his cabin and that pilot decides he needs to meet Carrie.

Carrie tries to weasel his story out of him but he’s not talking. She makes friends with his dog and that makes him mad. Hennessey is supposed to protect him, not be mesmerized by the first woman that pets him. The only thing they have in common is a card game; they both can play cribbage.

I like the banter between the two, and how she has a conversation with the dog that somehow draws Finn out and makes him speak. Ms. Macomber makes you feel like you’re there.

This is a sweet romance with some misunderstandings and a clash of lifestyles. As always, everything ends up happily ever after. But that’s why we read Ms. Macomber’s work, isn’t it? She always delivers a good story with true love winning and that’s the way I want it, don’t you?

How do you know where to go when you don’t remember where you came from?

Kyla’s memory has been erased, her personality wiped blank, her memories lost for ever.

Earlier, when the drugs for impotence were not invented, men had to convince themselves by putting the burden on the age. on line levitra appalachianmagazine.com The only best thing cialis discount pharmacy appalachianmagazine.com is Sildenafil citrate. Kyla shouldn’t be able to remember anything. But she can – and she’s beginning to realise that there are a lot of dark secrets locked away in her memories. When a mysterious man from her past comes back into her life, she thinks she’s on her way to finding the truth. But the more she learns about her history, the more confusing her future becomes…

Psychological thrillers have always captured my attention, and this book was one I can easily see being made into a movie due to its superb plotlines and interesting characters that seize my heart.

Kyla’s story is one of action, amazement, and mystery that I found riveting from beginning to end. The entire concept of her life and the being slated was one that I found refreshing, since it was so unique. This story is truly not comparable to anything I have ever experienced, thankfully. Kyla has lived a interesting life to say the least, and it doesn’t seem like the adventure will end for her any time soon.

While I found this story enchanting, I felt that there was a learning curve in the beginning. I had not read the previous story in the series. Therefore, it took me a few chapters to really get into the flow of the story, and understand the concept. I recommended the story to my daughter, and she too ran into the same concern when she started reading the story. I would not consider this a story that can be easily read as a standalone novel, since it seems to pick up right where the first installment ended. I can say however, that after read a few chapters and I began to understand the concept of the story, I was able to pick up on the story and enjoy it.

One aspect of this story that I appreciated was that the author was able to incorporate a dynamic romantic plot that was age appropriate. My child is around the target age for this book, and I have found in the past that sometimes a romantic plot just seems a bit too adult or complex. This is not the case in this book, it seems to be right on target. Even Kyla’s fascination with multiple guys depending on who she was with at that time was not only appropriate behavior for Kyla’s age, but also executed suitably for its audience. This is a story I gladly let my daughter read, as I knew she would love as much as I did.

It’s a comedy of errors when Laura prepares a romantic dinner for Mila’s birthday. Laura isn’t the world’s best cook to begin with, but when everything goes wrong in the immaculate home Mila’s supposed to be house sitting, the trouble’s only just begun. Laura and Mila wanted an evening of domestic bliss. Will their glimpse at adult life drive them into each other’s arms or drive them apart completely?

All Mila and Laura want is to share a romantic birthday dinner. Surely there are only so many accidents that can befall them while they’re cooking!
It is used since thousand years by the Chinese traditional medicine tadalafil online successfully. This is the funniest thing I’ve read in 2013. Mila is so worried about accidentally damaging her aunt’s property that every time something unfortunate happens she panics and overreacts. Of course panicking doesn’t do anything to clean up any of the messes that happen, but her over the top reactions were the best part of this tale. My favourite gag involves everything Mila and Laura attempt to do to turn off a fire alarm that keeps shrieking at the worst possible moments.

There are some issues in these character’s relationship that are brought up but never really resolved. While I certainly wouldn’t expect them to fix all of their problems in a short story, I would have liked to see Mila apologize for some of the comments she blurts out when Laura is injured early on in the plot. Mila’s comments felt out of place in an otherwise lighthearted and playful peek into their lives.

With that being said, Laura and Mila clearly have a warm and loving relationship. Their senses of humor are so well matched that they know when the other one is blowing off steam, and I truly don’t believe either one was offended by her girlfriend’s temporary bad mood.

Happy Birthday, Klutzface is an unforgettably hilarious tale about what happens when one tries to hard to impress a new girlfriend. I highly recommend it to anyone who has ever awkwardly stumbled through an experience that should have been much less complicated than it actually turns out to be.

Sera isn’t living. She’s existing—barely. Bedbound by illness, she has no memory of life before the freezing barn she now calls home. A mournful song haunts her dreams and hints at a past not completely buried—one she’s desperate to uncover. Yet Father’s whirlwind visits to draw blood and administer medication don’t provide answers. He only confirms the one thing she already knows; she’s dying.

A lonely death without ever knowing her past seems inevitable until a sudden, mystifying return to health coincides with the arrival of a boy in the opposite out-building. The inextricable pull to the stranger, and the broken memories that storm her mind when he’s near, warn of a history quite different to any she could have imagined. If she’s to uncover the truth she craves, she’ll have to decide whether knowledge of the past is worth forfeiting her second chance at life.

Sera can’t unravel the mysterious origins of the boy who arrives at her father’s farm one day without first remembering what her life was like before she got sick. The problem is that nothing she’s tried so far seems to be working.

In less a paragraph I felt as if I had tumbled into Sera’s blurry mind. Her initial confusion spurred me to formulate a half dozen theories about what might have happened to her, and even after I was fairly certain that I’d figured out her mystery I couldn’t peel my eyes away from the page as she discovers it for herself. Ms. Ison’s descriptions of the dilapidated, freezing cold barn Sera has lived in for as long as she can remember were so vivid I had to bury my toes under the comforter as I kept reading.

It was little too easy to predict what had actually happened to Sera, but this is a minor criticism of an otherwise unforgettable tale. It would have been extremely difficult to change this without deleting the most achingly beautiful scenes in the plot. The author made the right decision in providing these clues because the passages they were embedded in played in major role in what earned this book such a high rating.

I was surprised, though, by how Sera reacts once she begins to find answers to her questions. Her response adds depth to her character and it helped me empathize with her conflicting emotions even more than I did earlier on in her journey. Some of these experiences prompted the 14+ rating as they may prove to be slightly too intense for younger readers.

Remember Me is a wild ride. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys stories that effortlessly swirl several different genres together into a well-written, imaginative adventure.

And, exactly like main character Lanna Kirby, we fall in love with him instantly. What a perfect leading man… for about two seconds. It just wasn’t fair. When you marry a man for his money, you expect him to leave you a shining pile of gold pieces. Not a crummy old wine business. How was the new young widow Claudia going to pay off her gambling debts now?

So when Eugenius Collatinus asks Claudia to chaperone his granddaughter to Sicily she jumps at the chance to escape Rome. It should be easy–Sabina Collatinus, she is told, has recently completed thirty years’ service as a Vestal Virgin.

Or has she…?

Claudia suspects she is escorting an impostor. And then a woman’s brutalized body is discovered…

Making promises is so much easier than following through with them. If only Claudia had known exactly what she was getting into when she first agreed to be Sabina’s chaperone.

The vivid descriptions of the food, clothing, homes, and social customs in Claudia’s world made me feel as if I was living in ancient Sicily. Some of the socially acceptable customs at this time and place are considered extremely immoral in the twenty-first century. Including these scenes in this piece without imposing modern day values on them adds authenticity to the plot.

Once again Claudia is portrayed as a woman who is an intense object of desire to almost every man she meets. In the future I would be quite curious to see if Ms. Todd intends this to be another sign of Claudia’s narcissism or if she is actually that irresistible to such a wide selection of men. There are a few scenes in this story that make me think some of Claudia’s interpretation of other people’s thoughts and reactions are meant to show her self-centered tendencies. I hope future Claudia mysteries explore this possible plot twist in further detail.

Virgin Territory can easily be a standalone novel, but as someone who has read the first book in the series, I, Claudia, I was pleasantly surprised by how the main character has changed in the interim. Claudia’s lack of character development was one of the criticisms I mentioned in my first review. While she doesn’t show as much personal growth in her second adventure as I would have preferred to see, there were a few key scenes in this plot that demonstrate that she is aware of her environment and is slowly changing as a result of her experiences.

The mystery in this tale was well paced and thrilling, though. Every time I thought I’d pinned down the killer or figured out Sabina’s true identity Ms. Todd introduced new clues that upended all of my theories. Her ability to slowly dole out the truth to the reader in such a way that one never knows what to expect next makes me want to read everything this author has ever written.

Virgin Territory kept me guessing until the very end. I look forward to reading more installments of this series, and I recommend this book to anyone who loves a mystery that is full of surprises.
