Thousands of people go missing each year, and Everett Lacrowe discovers where they go when he falls into a world where the only purpose seems to be collecting others like himself. While most people in Dromos accept their surroundings and use a pointless routine to distract themselves, Everett will attempt to find out a way out.

What an interesting and strange experience Everett Lacrowe is about to have. He is a young man working in the local museum. Things seem normal in his life; then he has an accident. This bizarre occurrence sends him on a journey between dimensions. He walks into a place hard to imagine in real life, and the adventure begins.

Unusual beings wander about in this crazy new world. Everett tries to figure out how things work here because it seems like he could be trapped. Threats abound. He’d better catch on quick. Luckily, he meets a nice man, Frank, who helps him. Both Everett andFrank are kind, honest characters. It’s easy to root for them. Everett shows courage, and a reader can get behind him.

Dromos means passageway—a passageway between worlds. Suspense happens as one wonders if Everett will ever get back to the real world where life is mundane. There is some vagueness in the tale such as “When food wasn’t enough to satisfy, they had other things you could taste.” What other things? Some details would have been nice here. And jumping to conclusions happened at times. For instance, how did Everett have certain knowledge about Dromos? It’s not explained within the story. Sometimes the plot jumps around, throwing off the pace, but there are some good descriptions, especially of the illusory inhabitants of the new place. It’s certainly an imaginative story. It’s also interesting when Everett wonders if he’s mentally ill. This is a fast read with a unique storyline.

Take two stubborn cowboys, add in one determined little boy, and toss in a snowstorm for good measure. Who knew building a family could be so hard?

If you ask Isaiah Preston, he’s pretty lucky. He’s happy in his job as a ranch manager, admires his boss, Grady, in more ways than one, and if he doesn’t have everything he wants, well, that’s life, isn’t it?

Though over-the-counter painkillers can alleviate pain induced by TMJ, it pays to settle with the better option and that is the reason they fail to achieve their goal: The Special Ed. teacher should interview the parent prior to the IEP buy viagra in uk meeting. cialis in spain A very small sample of tissue is harvested that might not be helpful. Enter one little brother, and suddenly Isaiah’s comfortable world is turned upside down. Everything becomes complicated and he’s seeing people in ways he never has before—good and bad. Near-perfect isn’t enough anymore. Isaiah wants it all—home, family and, most importantly, Grady, in both his life and bed.

To get what he wants, though, Isaiah is going to have to fight prejudice, misunderstanding, and even Grady himself.

Isaiah wakes up to the news that he’s now a guardian to a brother he knew nothing about, so starts their journey to become a family. He’s loved and respected his boss from afar and when you add in a child who can make anyone a friend, you see the beginnings of a family.

I was hooked from the very first page. Something about Isaiah and Grady loving each other but not acting on it for so many years, just made me root for them. Throw in a child who’s determined to have the family he’s always wanted and you can’t help but fall in love. This isn’t an action packed or even a super steamy read, it’s heartwarming with just the right amount of spice thrown in. Grady and Isaiah have to overcome the challenges that living in a ranching community in Wyoming while gay and that part of the story is handled in a way that’s very believable. I easily saw how hard it would be to Grady who grew up in Wyoming to be okay being openly gay, while Isaiah, a transplant for California, wouldn’t have the same hang ups. If I were to complain about anything, it’s that at times I wanted to smack Grady for being so hard on himself, but that just goes to show how much I came to care for these characters.

I will definitely pick up more KM Mahoney’s books in the future; I’ve been won over by the emotion and exceptional story telling. I hope there are more books on this ranch because I really want Tommy to get his story. If you love your romance with a lot of heart and some spice, then you need to read this.

He has a crush on the director of the museum where he volunteers, Liam Morrison, but has never allowed himself to believe it could become anything more.

For his twenty-fifth birthday, Barnaby is given a leather-bound journal. Since it’s his birthday and people expect him to have wishes, Barnaby writes his wishes in the journal: that he could go to Egypt with his archaeologist aunt, that he could work at the museum permanently, and that he could share his life with Liam. It’s just a game until his wishes start coming true.

Barnaby’s coworkers from the Natural History and Science museum threw him a surprise birthday party. Thrilled, the shy but smart man struggles to string a coherent sentence when Liam Morrison, the museum directly, speaks privately with him. Before he knows what’s happened Barnaby blurts out a personal invitation to his party at home with friends later that evening. When Liam accepts he’s equal parts delighted and petrified.

When Barnaby’s Auntie Violet gives him an Egyptian journal for his birthday, he writes a few simple birthday wishes in it – one of them being that he could have someone to share his life with, and that the special person would be Liam. That evening his wishes start coming true Barnaby doesn’t know what to think. Is it luck? The specialness of his birthday? The journal? Or something else?

This is a really sweet, lovely short story. Barnaby is a gorgeous character, soft, modest, smart and just lovely. Liam is hunky and an interesting match for him. I enjoyed watching these two come together and would have enjoyed a follow up story going into more depth between their blossoming relationship, what happens in the museum and following on from this. The characters are easy to get attached to and beautifully drawn. The sex is hot and thankfully doesn’t overwhelm the plot or characterization of Barnaby and Liam. The two heroes take center stage, and it’s they – not their passion – that makes this book the awesome, hot read it is.

At the Gaslight Bazaar, a Steampunk convention, Trey Lewis is teased and fascinated by glimpses of a man in leather pants. When he sets out to find the wearer, he discovers Joss Stephens, a quiet, reserved coworker from his computer firm. Trey never thought he and Joss had anything in common, but getting to know Joss away from the office ignites an unexpected heat between them, which leads to a steamy encounter and the beginnings of romance.

Trey Lewis is attending Atlanta’s newest steampunk convention, and is on a mission – one involving a sexy pair of leather pants. Trey had caught numerous glances of The Pants – always from behind – and was being tormented night and day by thoughts of caressing the ass in that supple leather. All kinds of wicked thoughts were distracting him, and so he’d decided to hunt down the body of the man belonging to those pants. So Trey was shocked to discover the owner of The Pants was Joss Stephens – a colleague of his.

This is a steamy read, full of fun craftsmanship, hot sex and the open minded fun and frivolity of conventions. I enjoyed how the author portrayed convention goers not as strange or “different” but merely as people who are more curious and open to exploring alternate genres and ideas. I found myself really attached to both Trey and Joss, and pleased that they decided to open their minds (and hearts, and bodies!) to one another. Rather than just stay in their “work” persona’s they allowed their friendship to deepen and become something truly special. The sex between them was scorching and very satisfying, but it was the deeper connection that grew between them I found myself really relishing.

A quick, super hot read, this is an excellent story I greatly enjoyed.

Unlike most twinks, Brett doesn’t sub, which makes it difficult for him to find boyfriends, and is why he was so reluctant to dump his loser (now ex-) boyfriend.

Still, Brett’s more than attracted to Damien, but fears there’s no possibility of a relationship between them. Damien’s very vanilla, and Brett’s not a sub by any stretch of the imagination. Poor Brett is about to resign himself to a life of hook-ups when a fateful party turns his entire world upside down.

Brett Thomas is struggling not to mope about his broken relationship to his friend and roommate, Kirby. Being a good friend, Kirby wants Brett to meet one of his friends, Damien. But on the night of the break up Brett had got incredibly drunk, then made an idiot of himself in front of Damien, so Brett had no desire to inflict himself on the young man again. Damien was a sweet, patient and understanding guy – and finally Kirby bullies Brett into coming out for coffee. Despite the fact Brett never bottoms, he finds himself strangely attracted to the strength in Damien, in his natural take charge attitude. It’s confusing, but deliciously appealing at the same time.

This is a fun but realistic short story. Brett is a young, conflicted man sorting himself out and learning what he likes and needs from a partner. Damien is a strong character, patient and kind and a perfect top. The sexual tension between them is built amazingly well. This story isn’t rushed, despite its short length. The author has done a good job not only introducing and writing the characters, but giving them the time to get comfortable with each other and show the reader all the ways they’re compatible and work well together. At the costume party where Brett and Damien finally get together it’s well worth the wait and a smoking hot scene. Definitely keep some cool water handy or be prepared to need an icy shower afterwards. This was a fantastic, sexy scene and coming after all the build up was just brilliant.

With awesome sexual tension and a great cast of characters this is an awesome story, well written and super hot. I really enjoyed it.

This Christmas, the best gifts are waiting for those who have been naughty…

And the toys under the tree are not for children. Sexy Santas, naughty elves, and dominant shifters are ready to spread some very kinky Christmas cheer. It’s a good thing the ladies in our stories are looking for anything but vanilla.

This anthology gives us nine hot short stories. Each one burns up the pages with its contents.

Santa’s Beard gives us Joanna’s story. Does Santa really exist and can he truly give Joanna what she really wants or will she be spending another Christmas all alone? At least she has her two cats to keep her company but it seems that her cats are much more than what she thinks. I enjoyed this magical story about wishes coming true.

The Olympian has Olympic hopeful Rachel Stanton trying to blow off some steam and continue training but a wrong turn has her sharing a cabin with the new Crimson Mountain’s Operations Manager. Rachel is stubborn and arrogant to a fault. She finds her pushiness and rudeness does nothing to push Erik away, it only makes him more interested. This was a hot story about two people finding each other.

Some common choices are: Plastic substrates-Easier to handle, but prone to scratches Lexan or MR10-Flexable properties make it easier to break, but can be easily scratched Acrylic-Harder surface and more difficult to build muscles viagra soft tabs because of lower level of testos. Three in a Tub is a sweet story of an older woman and a younger man. When Cathy has a new tub installed in her home she finds herself in a position she never thought she would be in. She loves Jeremy but cannot see why he would love a woman like her. Jeremy surprises her with more than one surprise on this day. This is a sweet story that shows how much love can make everything better.

In the story A Few of My Favorite Things we meet Autumn and Storm. Working for Santa in more than one way, Autumn finds her release in private. When her dreams come within grasp she is afraid that she has ruined it all. This intriguing story gives the reader one hot romance.

The Man Inside is a story about hiding our true selves. Coworkers Sam and Jonah are in for the time of their lives at the office holiday party. This story takes you on an adventure with these two. I never expected it to take the turns that it does. Love will always win and this story shows us this.

Who’s Been Naughty and Nice? Has Laura giving herself a Christmas present, instead of spending it alone she takes matters into her own hands. An unexpected turn of events has Laura enjoying more than she paid for. This story shows us that love will find a way no matter what.

Secrets Santa gives us Marian’s story. Finding a man to give her what she needs is a losing battle but tonight someone has a surprise for Marian. Her past has finally caught up with her and Marian is more than willing to let it catch her. This was a hot read that gives us a glimpse at a wondrous world that Marian longs to be part of.

Faith’s Gift has a young woman who can never say no to her friend and this time it has Faith meeting Richard. Having just ended a relationship has Faith a little gun shy but it seems that Richard knows the entire right thing to say and do to bring her out of her shell. I enjoyed visiting with Erik and Laura. Watching Laura let go and enjoy herself was a nice read.

A Very Furry Christmas is one of a different kink. Caitlin has one and is afraid to share it but Jason makes her want to share. Can the two enjoy themselves or are their kinks going to keep them apart. I loved that these two decided to try and give things a chance.

Each of these stories takes the reader into a magical world filled with love and trust. While these stories all were hot and heavy and entertain the reader I did not really connect emotionally with many of the couples. The stories were much more on the lines of titillation for me. Even though this anthology was not a favorite of mine I did enjoy each authors writing and will be sure to check their works for that one that is my favorite. Trust, love and lust play a prominent role in these stories and as hot as they are the romance shows through in each story.

This author must have known some feisty older folks. She makes her characters a bit lonely since the death of their spouses and a bit slower because of age, but their brains are still working just fine. Elsa and Mike meet one night. They are both skulking around in the evening because they aren’t ready to sleep yet. They are also being bad. Elsa moves water pitchers about; Mike does things like substitute sugar for salt. Once they find they are partners in crime, they begin to share time together and mutually play tricks on the staff.

Have you ever visited an assisted living unit? People there are mobile for the most part and just require minimal care. Some need help showering and dressing and pills are monitored, but they have a lot of freedom otherwise. The author does an excellent job of showing how focused people with limited activities and space can be after time. They often develop ideas that may not be true, but they believe it and refuse to change their minds. When Elsa and Mike start becoming a couple, George is extremely jealous. He had his eye on her. The war between the two old men over Elsa sounds very reasonable and real. They take turns dumping food and drink on each other; messing up each other’s room, etc. Elsa is at first excited about have two men fighting over her, but George begins to scare her.

The best part of the story for me was when Elsa finds out what her son and his wife have done to her.  Watch out! The old folks are going into action and they’re taking no prisoners.

This author has given you some elderly that can still command respect and have all their faculties together. Elsa comes into her own in this story and that alone made it worth reading. You won’t be bored. Why not see just how dangerous smart old people can be?

Sometimes love is worth breaking all the rules.

When Claire Mulligan’s fiancé decides they should become contestants on the popular reality show Eden to win money to save their failing business, she reluctantly agrees. But once filming starts, James seems more interested in the other female contestants than her.

After an impulsive attempt to draw his attention, Claire finds herself naked on the beach during a total island blackout. But instead of James, cameraman Mitch Talbott comes to her rescue. He can’t see her; she can’t see him. But the sparks they generate light up the night.

Or even worse, it makes you sick. levitra 20mg uk A homeopathic medicine does not “override” the body’s inherent attempts to heal itself, which makes it very difficult to compress an implementation timeline. “If you want to implement quickly, leave your business processes as they are, even if this means these processes require extra steps in the new Testament was their viagra pfizer prix sense of community. Safety and security is something that most people strive for. Sometimes in order to have it one can make his or her life pretty boring on the one hand, and on the other one can end up living someone else’s dreams. That is exactly what was happening to Claire Mulligan when she was persuaded by her fiancé to participate in a reality show. But being reality show contestant was an eye opening experience for her, the one that taught her that sometimes in life it is better to choose adventure and unknown instead of safety and security.

I wanted to read Breaking the Rules from the time when it was published in 2003 in the Heat Wave anthology, because of the high praises by in the reviews. And now that I finally read it I can say that all the reviews were correct. This is a story worth reading.

Breaking the Rules is character driven story. The great characterization is what makes it so funny, interesting and good. Claire is the strongest character, because her transformation from the girl who is always playing safe to the girl who is willing to take chances is driving force of the story. The hero, Mitch Talbott, is regular guy, he is sweet and caring and he knows how and which of Claire’s buttons to push in order for her to make right choices. The dynamic between Claire and Mitch is great and the chemistry is real.

The author also did great characterization of the secondary characters that are put in the context of the reality show. That way she created interesting gallery of secondary characters from attention seeking to back stabber girls and beyond. Archer has done great job choosing not to present Claire’s fiancé as completely heartless cheater and womanizer, but as a complex person who is just not right man for Claire.

Breaking the Rules is very well written story. It is also universal, all time story that can be read in 10 years’ time and it will still be fresh and modern. A good story for any season and any decade.

This was a great story. In a few short pages, we get excellent development, from Beth’s drive to Vegas to the happily ever after. The characters display a wonderful range of emotions: apprehension, indecision, relief, and ultimately elation. Madame Eve made another perfect match with these two, and while the sex was incredibly hot, my favorite part was watching the two develop an emotional connection.

I had only one minor issue with this story in that I wasn’t sold on each of their reasons for agreeing to an arranged marriage. Both were intelligent, very attractive, passionate, and wanted a long-term relationship. Madame Eve has a reputation for finding the right match, but I wasn’t sure what the rush was to marry. Why not date first? If you hit it off, you can always marry in Vegas. Small issue, but since it was the basis of the story, it kept me from giving this a perfect five stars.

Small concern aside, I loved getting to know Beth and Chris and am happy each found their ideal mate. Pick this book up if you want a sexy tale of love at first sight!

Protecting her was never going to be easy.

Heart of Fame, Book 2

After sixteen years as the personal bodyguard to the world’s biggest rock star, ex-SAS commando Aslin Rhodes excels in the role of intimidating protector, oozing threatening menace. Now that the singer has retired, Aslin takes a new assignment as a military consultant on a blockbuster film. But just as he’s getting comfortable in the world of Hollyweird, he faces an unexpectedly immovable object. An American martial arts expert no taller than his chin, who promptly puts him on his arse.

Rowan Hemsworth’s focus is two-fold—keep her famous brother grounded, and never again be a defenseless victim. She has her hands full as the fun police, keeping her brother’s money-sucking entourage at bay. But nothing prepared her for the British mountain of muscle who makes her knees go uncharacteristically weak.
Erections of the man should be proper and also firm enough and if that does not happen brand viagra prices you become a victim of erectile dysfunction. These small things buy viagra line unica-web.com can make a good and fake supplement. Most people are unaware that there are more women than men who experience sildenafil india wholesale sexual dysfunction.
When a string of accidents on set convinces Aslin that Rowan—not her brother—is the target, things get bloody tricky as he tries to convince the stubborn woman she needs his protection. And accept that she belongs with him. In his arms, in his bed…and in his heart.

What does the bodyguard to one of the most famous rock stars do when that rock star retires to a small town with the love of his life? In Aslin Rhodes’ case, he becomes the military consultant for a big budget action movie. Using his experience to make the film more realistic, he becomes friends with the star, Chris Huntley, and starts to notice that things are happening around him. When the star’s sister, American martial arts expert Rowan Hemsworth, literally knocks Aslin on his behind, he begins to suspect that the ‘accidents’ on set are not actually aimed at Chris, but at Rowan, and he is determined to keep her and her brother safe. Finding a way past Rowan’s considerable defenses and convincing her she is the real target takes all of Aslin’s power of persuasion, and soon, Rowan discovers that there is more to As than meets the eye. Can these two discover who wants Rowan out of the way, and keep brother Chris safe, all while adjusting to the growing attraction blossoming between them? Can this strong and determined man let the woman he wants have the freedom to be what she wants to be, and still bring her to his side?

Muscle for Hire is Lexxie Couper’s latest in her books that revolve around former rock star Nick Blackthorne, first seen in Tropical Sin and followed by Nick’s story in Rhythm of Love. Aslin is Nick’s former bodyguard, and it was just a matter of time before he stepped up and demanded his own story. This story is rich in details, and the characters are well crafted and fully developed. I love this world that Ms. Couper has built, with realism and passion, and just the touch of danger to make things a bit more interesting.

Rowan Hemsworth is a strong and sassy character, talented in her chosen field of martial arts. She doesn’t take nonsense from anyone, and when she believes her brother, the movie star, is in trouble, she is determined to keep him safe. I love Rowan’s loyalty, her determination and her ability to succeed in what is considered a ‘man’s’ sport. I loved it when she literally knocked Aslin on his butt, thinking he was the one endangering Chris. I also loved that she is honest enough to admit when she is wrong, and when Aslin shows her how he feels, she is open and ready to see where it can go.

Aslin Rhodes is strong, steady and used to being in the background. The former SAS commando turned rock star bodyguard has learned to roll with the proverbial punches, and is trying out a new career as military consultant to the movies. I love Aslin, in fact I have waited for his story since I first ‘met’ him as Nick’s bodyguard. He is loyal, dependable and oh so hot. I loved his surprise when Rowan was able to get the drop on him and take him down. He is also smart enough to recognize when he has met his match, and he is determined to make sure nothing happens to her.

Lexxie Couper has written a hot and passionate story, filled with her signature heat, with a thread of danger woven through it. The hidden agenda of the one behind the attempts on Rowan is at once simple, yet convoluted in its scope, and throughout the story, I was kept guessing on who the culprit was up until the last bit. The action is fast paced, the romance is simmering hot, and the sex, when it happens, is off the Richter scale. The happy ever after for Rowan and Aslin is hard won, but it is so worth the trip to get there. This one will warm up the coldest night, and you may need to turn the fan on to keep your cool.
