Don’t expect a lot of background to Kylie, Brad, Hemi and Finn’s story because it just isn’t there. And that was fine by me because in this short story I was more interested in where they are now and what was in store for their future.

Kylie is a fun character to read. She’s responsible, mature and level headed about everything…except the men. But who can blame a girl for not wanting to choose between three men that are so different and yet so focused and in tune to a single woman. Thankfully, Brad, Hemi and Finn have a plan that will leave Kylie breathless and guaranteed to singe your e-reader.

If you need a quick escape to an island getaway then Exotic Indulgence is your ticket. All four books in the series are out, so now is the perfect time to get your feet wet with Exotic Indulgence. She told a convincing story of a woman who knows and loves the game, without alienating the readers who know nothing of the sport. With sultry and inventive sex scenes, heart breaking sorrow, nail biting football plays and a cast that is captivating and engaging, Fourth and Goal is a winner!

Greg and Fianna are about to get their story book ending amidst chaos and surprises as the author wove another intricate, detailed and emotionally charged tale. I was shocked as to who one of the villains turned out to be and I felt great sadness at the loss of what I thought was a great character with HEA potential.

This book has a greater impact for readers who have followed this awesome series but by no means would a first time reader get lost. In fact, they’d have the benefit of the conclusion of the drama and the revelation of all the players. So as a standalone, it will feel complete. For those of us who have read the first two books, the disclosures will have more of a shock and awe effect. In either event, Motor City Wolf is guaranteed entertainment.

Fianna as a character has had the most growth of all the personalities in the series. She initially started out as a villainess, but in time readers discovered she was a victim; a tragic figure caught in a power mad dysfunctional family and expendable. How this woman takes the punishment and not only thrives but earns the respect of her peers in amazing scenes that tested her mettle truly made Fianna a memorable person and a real heroine. I like her as a person and definitely as a mate to Greg.

Waters run deep with the hero, Greg. Of all the people that have come and gone in this series, he has the most to lose and he does. Greg has to face the ultimate betrayal, the loss of someone he grudgingly admits to loving and respecting, and his becoming what he never wanted to be. The big climax and action-filled showdown was tightly written with active voice all the way. It kept me riveted and hanging in suspense and I couldn’t flip those pages fast enough.

It was great seeing all of my favorite characters from the previous books and in Motor City Wolf, they had effective supporting secondary roles that kept the story interesting and the plot moving in a natural progression. I enjoy that sense of community and Ms. Spencer Pape balanced it well.

Motor City Wolf delights and astounds. It has everything I enjoy in a romance book. It has a strong emotional hook, a sweeping and powerful romance that overcomes their initial hesitance, shocking villains, and a love that stands against the worst magic and evil beings can throw at them. I can’t imagine what Ms. Spencer Pape has next up her sleeve but I can’t wait to find out. I’m completely captivated by this world she’s built and the characters she’s populated it with. What a great imagination!

While reading this story I sometimes forgot that this was part of a series, because the story stood on its own so well. This is something I appreciated since I had not read the previous stories. The story also drummed up enough interest in the other characters that it made me want to read the stories I had missed, and want to continue to read the future stories in the Eternal Guardian series.

I absolutely adore Greek mythology and this story gave me plenty of what I wanted. It was so jam packed with mythology it reignited my love for the heritage. Others have compared this series to Sherrilynn Kenyon’s Dark Hunter series and I would have to agree. Therefore, if you enjoy Sherrilyn Kenyon or Greek mythology I urge you to pick up the Eternal Guardian series you will not be disappointed.

It has danger and adventure but by the time I was getting to really know these two lovers it was time to say goodbye. A longer story would have made this a truly great read for me.

Having said that, if you’re looking for a sexy story with danger lurking around the corner to finish out your summer reading, Wildcat is one to try.

Secrets and Seduction is a well written contemporary romance. The story was never predictable and tedious. Every time I thought I knew what was going to happen Ms. Beckenham shocked me with a different outcome. I did figure out a secret or two, but the way she revealed them was exceptional. The love scenes were sizzling and perfect in depiction. You felt the steam rising from the pages. She kept me enthralled and guessing the whole book, a significant quality in an author.

Secrets and Seduction is the type of story you want to read more about. I have no desire to imagine what happened to them, I need Ms. Beckenham to tell me. She wrote her characters beautifully and I want to know what she has in store for them, because whatever I can come up with, she will always top. This will be a permanent addition to my library and Jane Beckenham is now a must read author for me.

Pierce is the best chef in the realm, and his dragon is ready to settle down. But he wants Selena, and she may not feel the same about him.

When things go a bit crazy at the party, Selena and Pierce discover they have more going for them than they thought, and the elf Selena’s mother has chosen for her reveals that he actually already has one mate he loves. Prince Elvus has been with Ferrus for five years, and married to him for two of those years. There is more than meets the eye to the Elven King’s desire to see the Elves and Pixies form this union. The characters are well developed and fun, and the passions of all flow freely. I love the world Ms Tregarth has created here and would like to visit again to meet more of her inhabitants.

Selena has always been more than just another silly Pixie. She is smart, determined and very independent. She has seen the damage her mother the Queen has done with her extravagances, and wants to help all of her people. I liked that she never told Pierce that she was the Princess, wanting to be able to be herself around him. I enjoyed watching as she realized just what her favorite Dragon chef meant to her.

Pierce has gotten used to Selena and her pesky ways, and he has decided that it is time he took a stand. He is strong, handsome and determined that Selena will be his, no matter what he has to do. I liked watching as he set things in motion to make everything turn out for the best for everyone. I also liked that he was willing to admit his feelings and desires in front of everyone, even before Selena admitted anything.

Prince Elvus and his mate Ferrus are both very strong characters, but are both willing to sacrifice their love to get what they see as their rightful land. I enjoyed seeing Selena prove to them that they could have what they desired without having to give each other up or marry for anything other than love.

The political wrangling between the Queen and the Elven King was easily handled, and the eventual solution was perfect for all concerned. There is one very public claiming ceremony between Selena and Pierce, and between Elvus and Ferrus, and that scene heats up the story to a new level of hot. This is a terrific short story for a warm summer evening.
