In this modern retelling of a fairy tale classic, Goldie Lax is a safecracking prodigy who learned her craft from her father and her grandfather before him. When she pairs up with Richard Campbell, who can hack any system, together they make the perfect team, mixing both business and pleasure.

When Goldie’s grandfather, who survived the holocaust only to end up a nursing home in his eighties, tells her about a horrific crime that robbed a good friend of his family’s inheritance, Goldie enlists Campbell’s help to recover the diamonds.

The three Behr brothers have stolen something too precious for words and Goldie, safecracker extraordinaire, and Campbell, their head of security, have hatched a foolproof scheme to get it back, but the long, involved plan may just complicate their relationship beyond repair.

Once the children are tucked away in bed for the night, Mommy now has her own fairy tale to go to bed with! Selena Kitt has revised the classic tale of Goldilocks and the Three Bears by altering the story into current time with real life situations but maintaining key points of the original fairy tale within the story.

Goldie is a third generation locksmith who is the best at combination safe cracking while stealthily testing large corporations’ security systems. The three Behr brothers own one of the largest businesses around with top security measures to protect their priceless jewels. So what harm could come from pitting their head of security against Goldie’s talented skills? But Richard Campbell risks losing everything through this challenging proposition – his employment, his home and his heart.

This had absolutely exciting action sequences that lead very smoothly into the love making scenes. The only thing that could have made the book better is if the storyline did not feel like the ending was rushed in order to fit into the last several pages, but instead had been expanded on by just adding a few more pages to the novella.

Through the classic tale has been altered, I was very impressed by how Ms. Kitt used the star constellation “Ursa” as an undetected yet subtly reference to “The Three Bears” along with her play on words to fit in the story line. The moral of the story stays the same, however: a person will go through a lot of hassle to get to the right fit eventually! But being an adult tale, instead of finding comfort in a bed that ‘feels just right’, Goldie finds a man who fits not just her personal needs but her every need in and out of the bedroom!

I know that I will be keeping my eyes open for more of these fairy tale stories after enjoying this classic yet delightfully naughty book by Selena Kitt!

Half-human and half-demon, Brody has spent his life fighting against his evil birthright. Despite the hatred of the townsfolk, he uses his supernatural powers to defend them from his foul bloodline.

Neither Madison nor Brody can fight their lust or deny their love, but hell is out to get him. When everyone close to him, especially his destined mate, is targeted by eight generations of Blazewood demons, the only way to fight evil is with evil.

Their reputation, sadly leaves little to be desired and Brody, as the last of his family line, is as much a bane to the town as his evil relatives were reputed to be.

And so begins a most delightful and sweet tale!

Though a little choppy in the middle, it recovered well in the build-up to the ending, and finished on a satisfying note. Ms Hill’s characters, while appealing, only really became interesting when truly conflicted and dealing with the harsh reality of the situation at the climax.

One character that did stand out throughout the story was the “busybody”, affable Miss Jefferson who, try though she might, couldn’t convince her tenant to steer clear of Brody. She was a hoot! I couldn’t help but like her, especially when she finally comes around to Madison’s way of thinking and acts like a bulldog trying to protect them both!

Definitely worth reading, Wild Woods is a quick and entertaining read and, at eighty-eight pages, just right for light entertainment.

I was one of the ones left behind when the virus hit. A blind woman, trapped in my isolated subterranean prison. Now there are three of us — me and my saviors, Derek and Jay, the two young wolfmen who rescued me.

Attacked by vicious rabids, Derek’s life hangs in the balance. Jay fears our rescuers have ulterior motives. Why else would they offer to help? It’s not like we have a choice, not with Derek’s life at stake. Meeting a compound full of lonely women adds a whole new set of problems. And then there’s Frank. He just can’t leave well enough alone. And if he’s not careful, my boys are going to rip him to pieces.

Rabbit sushi, yuck. Maybe wolfmen don’t mind eating raw meat but Mei Lin wants her meat cooked. Pretty (Mei Lin) came to life in the first book of the Wolfman Tale when she met Derek and Jay; two young wolfmen who came across her den and claimed both the den and her. Since both the Wolfman Series and the Wolfman Tale series are intertwined I recommend reading the books in order of publication before you read this one. Many of the characters are introduced in them and will give the reader a better understanding of the virus that changed the world we know. It will also cut down any confusion that you may run into with the plot if you skip a book. If you don’t want to invest in both series then I would urge the buyer to at least get Blind Passion to read first to bring them up to date on Derek, Jay and Mei Lin.

In Blind Devotion the plot picks up after Derek and Jay go hunting for fresh meat and were attacked by rabid wolfmen. As in the other four books Ms. Black used her wise crack punch lines and crazy Imagination to bring the characters and their personalities to the forefront while creating an entertaining and unique tale of werewolf’s are wolfmen as she calls them since they do not shift like the legendary werewolf.

I found the story to be a truly thrilling journey in the world of “what if”; what if a virus mutated the human body and changed the world we know. Despite a few editing bumps, the two series are very entertaining and I look forward to reading the next book.

I highly recommend the series to anyone who enjoys a new twist to the werewolf theory and loves an author who has a slightly warped sense of humor that comes out in her characters.

A traveling showman meets a woman who isn’t about to lose her heart to a rambler.

A traveling showman like Caesar Hawkins isn’t about to let his own death come between him and his son Jed’s happiness. Unfortunately, the famous cure-all elixer he left behind can’t ease the incurable malady of the young man’s lonely heart. Jed needs something more potent than tonic. Something a little sweeter…

Nixie Dengler knows the toll a rambling man can take on a vulnerable woman’s heart. So what does she see in another rambler like Jed? Actually, it’s what she doesn’t see that’s drawing them together. Can a matchmaking spirit unite two earthly souls in love?

Caesar Hawkins just can’t accept the fact that he’s dead.

Although Caesar is dead, he came to life in my mind from the moment I started reading. Ms. Myers created a character so robust and interesting, that I liked Caesar immediately. He also had a great sense of humor. I smiled every time Caesar referred to his death as merely a “condition.” He also cares deeply for his son, Jed, and can’t help but interfere in his son’s affairs. As much as I liked Caesar, he wasn’t without his flaws. While he means well, some of his meddling does more harm than good. Also, while it was clear that Caesar loved Jed, he didn’t always express it as often as he should have. He also pushes Jed into the sort of life he thinks Jed should have rather than asking Jed what he really wants. As with all flaws, these made Caesar a very real and rounded character.

Jed was an easy character to like as well. He was the typical good son trying to find his own way in the world. He wants his father to be proud of him, but at the same time Jed isn’t sure he wants to sell Caesar’s Curative for a living. Jed’s struggle to balance his own wishes against the desires of his father is something that many people can relate to. I enjoyed watching Jed gradually make his own path in the world.

Nixie was the perfect heroine for Jed. She has a bit of a fiery spirit and is fiercely loyal to those she cares about. This unintended attack is named as bacterial infection that is being carried out cialis wholesale india click to read more as soon as possible. Men instead of being ashamed of disclosing order cialis online about it to their doctor. Studies have levitra generika 40mg Source shown that some natural options can increase your symptoms ED. She and Jed had excellent chemistry from the moment they met. However, Nixie isn’t ready to lose her heart. She’d been burned in love before and isn’t sure if Jed’s affections are sincere and alternately embraces and pushes Jed away. While an event in Nixie’s past makes her reticence to become romantically involved with Jed understandable, I must admit that became a little tired of her attitude toward the end of the story. Jed had been nothing but kind to Nixie and her family, and showed amazing patience in winning Nixie’s affections. He gave her space when she asked for it and was there when she needed him. Yet, Nixie deliberately misunderstood his actions and continually suspected his motivations at every turn. However, I still enjoyed Nixie as a character and was very pleased when the wall she built around herself finally began to crack.

As much as I liked the main characters, the secondary characters seemed flat in comparison. Nixie’s family had campers pay to use their land and the mineral springs in the summer, so there was an array of secondary characters involved throughout the story. However, many of them stayed in the background and never really came to life.

Also, I found the plot of the story to be predictable. As soon as certain plans were made, I knew immediately what the outcome would be because many of the secondary characters were “types” and it was easy to know what they were going to do before they did it. Even though the plot was predictable, Caesar, Jed, and Nixie were very well crafted characters and they kept me interested in the story until the end.

I must also mention one of my favorite scenes in the book. Throughout the story, Jed tries to help Nixie overcome her fear of falling in love. However, Jed is not without his own fears. He is terrified of the water. Nixie is an excellent swimmer. At the end of the story, Nixie and Jed find themselves together at the mineral springs. I won’t spill the details of their meeting, but the moment Ms. Myers creates between Jed and Nixie is quite touching.

Great Caesar’s Ghost is an enjoyable read. I recommend it to anyone looking to unwind with a light and entertaining book.

The immortal Finnarians mate for life and once they find their mate, nothing on earth can make them leave them. But what about when that mate is not Finnarian at all, but a stubborn, fiery, extremely irritable Draconian? What if that Draconian wants nothing at all to do with his Finnarian mate? It seems the Finnarian prince, Sadan, is going to have his work cut out for him. Fortunately, he is just as stubborn and far more persistent than said Draconian has ever had to deal with.

Graitaan is the last remaining Draconian and he has attracted the eye of a Finnarian prince, who claims that he is his bloodmate. Sadan may want to be mated, but Graitaan has developed a passionate hatred for his Finnarian commander, prince or not. Too bad Finnarians are persistent as the hells. Especially this one.

Prince Sadan has found his match, but Graitaan doesn’t want to be mated, especially to Sadan. That little fact doesn’t slow Sadan down though, if anything it makes him more determined to make the prickly loner his mate. Convinced with time and a determined courting Graitaan will come around, Sadan pursues the other man with a single minded devotion. Yet Graitaan’s been hurt so many times he doesn’t dare believe in Sadan’s love and a painful choice may not give them the time they need.

Draconian Measures is a fitting prequel and third book to the Gaven series. In the Gaven books, Vlar and Gaven are mated and here Sadan, Vlar’s father, gets to show how he wooed his own difficult man. The plot is very reminiscent of classic romance novels with the wealthy prince trying to woo and win the poor, lonely orphan hurt by life. It may seem that ErectoMax is a good substitute for trusted sex enhancement products and the levitra on line box says that it can perform better for continuing the lovemaking episodes. The cheap price of Kumara is another plus side to this system of filling cialis generic purchase prescriptions. Sex-related pleasure results in electrical online purchase viagra impulses along the nerve fibres going to the member and thereby producing the nerve fibres to release a chemical known as nitric oxide, which in turn increases the production of cyclic GMP (cGMP) in the smooth muscle cells of the corpora cavernosa. There are many reasons behind deeprootsmag.org buy cheap levitra teenage erectile dysfunction and impotence are one and the same. The two men repeat the classic yes/no pattern with Sadan determined and confident of the outcome while Graitaan is stubborn and determined to thwart happiness to spite Sadan. This creates a fun and whimsical tone to the story, lending a much lighter feel that the previous two angst ridden books.

The story does a decent job breathing life into these classic characters, even as they stay very much within their familiar lines. This isn’t necessarily bad though as such archetypes are classic for a reason and many readers enjoy and appreciate the recognizable tropes. The writing is easy with a pretty quick pace that makes the pages fly by with numerous sex scenes. One caveat is that there is very little dialogue. The story is told entirely to the reader through internal monologue and repetition so this may not appeal to all readers.

Fans of the series will want to know how these two got together as their courtship has been mentioned in both previous books. In many ways their story lives up to the gentle hype the series has given them and the humorous tone is a nice change from the darker two books. This gets slightly repetitive and stale the longer it goes on but overall remains entertaining and enjoyable. This is easy to recommend for fans of the series while those new to the author/series can pick this up as a standalone. Be warned though, Vlar is so utterly adorable you’ll be picking up the rest of the series too.

When Amaya wakes, with only the memory of her world’s apocalyptic destruction, she is surprised to find herself alone in a world deceptively similar to her own. But there’s so much about Zerah that’s changed.

The Holy Grounds are gone. The Temple destroyed. And the entire world lies in darkness- the darkness of its Maker, who has returned with a tempting offer: he will free her of the Mark that enslaves her to the Guardianship, a Mark that carries only ghosts of a past better forgotten, and give her a chance at a new life.

All it will cost is her soul.

Amaya remembers monsters and a lost love. She knows the monsters are real, but was there ever really someone she loved that much?

This is the second book in the Guardian Circle series. It can be read alone, but will be a bit confusing without the background of the first book. The author has improved her writing style in the second volume. It’s a stronger story line with multiple plot complications and it moves along smoothly.

The world has changed during Amaya’s isolation. The actions of the Guardians in the first book have destroyed it. When Phoenix finds her, she’s not even sure who she is or where she is. Phoenix has always wanted Amaya as a mate, but she doesn’t love him romantically. This conflict continues from the first book and I found myself feeling bad for Phoenix. They are rooming together and working and life is moving on, but Amaya is not content. That is why it is called on line levitra . They view it as a personal matter that viagra cheap no prescription shouldn’t be discussed out in the open. The guardians have powers and she wants to restore the world to its former glory. The author probes the conflict between the two and gives the story a touch of reality even though it’s fantasy.

The author also revives the major conflict at the end of the first book of the series. Kieran, the lost love that Amaya thought was dead, suddenly resurfaces. Ms. Santiago has a real talent for creating conflict. The two main male characters are friends, but they both love the same woman. The dislike for anything one might do for Amaya is palpable. You can feel the danger when the two magical men clash. There is also conflict between Kieran and Amaya. He wants Amaya to sacrifice her tattoo and he’s still fighting his love for her.

The story is fast paced, tense, and you know there will be another book in the series. They haven’t accomplished what they need to yet. I’m anxious to see the next book. I want to see how the author resolves this quest. There’s a lot more excitement coming, I’m sure, and I for one can’t wait to read more!

For Faith and Mark, the telepathic connection they’d shared for years was nothing compared to the scorching physical connection they realized as adults. From the first moment they came together, “erotic” was too pale a word to describe their relationship. Together they explored each other’s deepest, darkest desires.

But now Mark, survivor of an ambush to his Delta Force team, is a prisoner of a terrorist group in the Peruvian jungle, and his telepathic communication with Faith is his only contact with the world. While she searches for help to save him, they survive on dreams that take them beyond all sexual boundaries.

Would you like to have telepathic communication with the man you love? What if he were in the jungles of the Amazon with no other means of contact? What would you do if those messages told you that he was being held captive and routinely tortured by terrorist arms dealers?

Best selling author, Faith Wilding and Captain Mark Halloran of the Delta Force, a military special ops team, both possess psychic gifts. They have been close friends since children, and that friendship has turned to love, as adults. As teenagers they discovered that they were able to talk to each other through telepathy. How exciting would that be? Faith’s Aunt Vivi is psychic, too, and has counseled and mentored her along the way. Aunt Vivi is a member of a group that educates, and practices psi abilities. They will prove to be indispensable to Faith during the terrifying journey ahead.

Mark is being held captive in the Peruvian Jungle by Al Qaeda arms dealers. Somehow, his team’s objective has been leaked. This highly trained, extremely strong man proves to be unbreakable to his diabolically evil captors who are determined to find out who revealed their mission and location to Mark’s team. They have wiped out the entire elite ops team except for Mark and one other man who escaped but is now in a coma, and they are torturing Mark in horrible ways.

Faith is also an empath, as she is soon to discover. Unfortunately that discovery comes with the horror of experiencing Mark’s pain and anguish. On the plus side, he is able to tell her of his plight, that he is in great danger and needs her help. He is unable to tell her where he is because he is being blocked by one of the terrorists who also possesses psychic talent. It becomes a race against time while Faith uses her writer’s connections and resources to locate Mark and arrange a rescue.

There are so many plot twists and branches in this story that it almost overtakes the reader in its complexity. However, it makes for a very intense tale that is a constant page turner. One example of the complex nature of the story is the way the author weaves in the sexual and romantic relationship between the main characters with regular flashbacks and dream segments on the part of both lovers. The sexual descriptions are hot and sensual; the romance, sweet. I was transported by the eloquent details in the story whether it was the sticky heat of the Peruvian Jungle or the memories and dreams of urgent, passionate lovemaking.

Most of all, this is a tension-filled action thriller that means serious business. I was struck by the realistic nature of the story and the razor sharp accuracy with which Ms. Holt captures the current state of world affairs. The addition of very believable psychic ability and the important role it plays in every part of this book was a key part of my enjoyment and interest. My only problems with the story were a few editing errors and a sense of abruptness at the end. After such an emotional and tension-filled ride, I longed for just a little more of an ending. An epilogue for the lovers after Mark had recovered from his ordeal would have been great.

Despite that, the book was an exceptional read that I do not hesitate to recommend to all. It truly and fully engaged me emotionally and mentally. I loved the creative way the author developed the characters and scenes in this story, further involving me in it’s adventure and steaming romance. My advice is, go buy Jungle Inferno and prepare to burn!

This book is the first in the Phoenix Agency series, and I eagerly await the next installment.

Ofeig Nabboddrson, a warrior from his youth up, is determined to claim the rich land now stained with blood as his. The only thing standing in his way is a magnificent Valkyrie, a woman who he has seen only in battle and who is called ‘The Protector’.

Eva Samsdottir, an extraordinary woman who singlehandedly saves the children of her village from slavery amidst a deadly raid. Unbeknownst to her a bigger battle awaits her in a Time not her own. Will she have the courage to survive the future?

This is a well-written story, that takes a departure from normal time travel books in that future events are changed, with no repercussions to the past. This is done on the premise that it was already done in the past, therefore the changes won’t affect what has already happened. This is a hard concept to grasp – especially when most time-travel stories are of the “don’t mess with the timeline” theory, but it makes for some interesting action.

While the plot revolves mainly around Ofeig and Eva, also known as “The Protector”, there are many others who compliment the plot, and even time travel. Most of the story takes place in the late 1980’s and early 10th century. There is plenty of sword play, and murder, mystery and intrigue. However, there is also plenty of good-old-fashioned romance and sexual attraction.

The main detraction from this lovely story is the grammar errors and misspellings. It made reading certain sections of the book difficult.

Because this is a series, characters who would otherwise be secondary in this story have a history and relevance to the current storyline. This seems to lend itself to a fuller, richer story.

Gabriele Sloane has been picked on his entire life by the coven he grew up in. They taunted him, ridiculed him, and downright hated him. When they do the unthinkable and kick him out, Gabby is forced to find a new home. Montana Graton hates vampires with a passion. His best friend was killed by one. Hungry and bored, he decides to visit the diner in town. The little redhead sitting one booth over looks good enough to roll around in the back of his truck with—until the smell hits him and he discovers the redhead is his mate.

Can Montana set aside his hatred and claim the little vamp, or will he allow his festering hate to surface and turn his back on the sexy little fireball fate has given him?

This story started off quickly, setting my emotions a blaze. I was filled with sadness for what has happened to Gabby and anger because he’s a sweet innocent soul who needs help being cared for. At a hundred years old this half vampire half human is still considered young and naive. Gabby has been forced out of the only home he has ever known with nothing more than the clothes on his back. When Gabby meets Montana it’s a bit awkward. Gabby is diabetic and needs daily doses of insulin, and when he goes to administer his medicine Montana storms in and gets the wrong impression. This couple have their ups and downs from the get go but they’re also a supper sweet and fun pairing. Montana’s overbearing need to protect and care for his mate is just what Gabby needs. The book was very enjoyable but I wished there were more back story on Montana. As stated in the blurb his friend was killed by a vampire but that is all that is mentioned in the actual book as well. I would have liked to have known more about the man, where he came from, what his previous pack was like? Montana is a fierce warrior and would do anything for his mate, but I would have loved for the author to have explored with this character more in depth.

As with all the Brac pack mates, Ms. Hagen writes these men in the most realistic way while still being a paranormal story. All these men are human beings with real life personal drama. Gabby is an overweight vampire with self-image issues. He also has a bad case of talking so fast he leaves everyone speechless with his ability to go without taking a breath.

Ms. Hagen is the queen of the cliff hanger, but I love it and it has me coming back every week. There are more introductions of other paranormal shifters and we finally get more back ground info on Melonee. This series just picks up more steam with each new installment. As for Montana and Gabby these characters will stay with me and keep me wondering what will happen next for this duo. Ms. Hagen is always great about giving updates about every member of this extended family and it helps keep these characters fresh in your mind.

Another good read I highly recommend.

Both nursing broken hearts, Dana and Mike meet at a New Year’s Eve Party. When the clock strikes midnight, a tipsy Dana tells Mike her New Year’s wish and that’s to get pregnant.

Mike, after being shot in the line of duty and being dumped by his wife, realizes he wants to be a father. When the two decide to have a baby without any strings attached, things get complicated and after they both realizing they’re falling in love, there’s no turning back.

Wow! A story where a couple has ‘vanilla’ sex, without the added enhancement of whips, belts and bonds, yet still manage to love every moment of the experience! This is simply a good old-fashioned love story and I thoroughly enjoyed it from beginning to end!

The plot seems deceptively simple at first; two heart-heavy individuals, recovering from love’s crippling demise, meet again at a New Years party, where Dana reveals her wish to become a mother.
