Sibylla is in love, but Randolph demands secrecy. Then she discovers he is plotting against her brother Gerard, a Royalist hoping to restore King Charles II of England to the throne. Once she learns his secret motive, Randolph means to silence her, but chance and Josselin, the French Privateer intervene. Together Sibylla and Josselin have to save Gerard from danger and the King from his enemies. Have they time?

In Sibylla And The Privateer, Marina Oliver brings us into a world of yesteryear: a world of old-style courtesy, but also of swashbuckling heroism; of domineering parents and persistent scoundrels, hot tempered young women and unexpected decency.

Sybilla is in love – and the only thing that mars this perfect relationship, is Randolph’s inexplicable desire to keep it a secret! Somehow this doesn’t seem as though he is the perfect man.

It can be a bit tough to sympathize with our heroine; she is, after all, too impatient and never hesitates to speak her mind. However, she’s snappy and interesting and never fails to keep your attention. She can hardly fathom her family’s attitude, but we guess that their suspicions come as no surprise to Randolph. Be knows as a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Hiromu Arakawa, the world of Fullmetal Alchemist is styled buy viagra online after the European Industrial Revolution. And we, too must share some doubts about him…could he indeed be an unprincipled rascal?

Sybilla is far too headstrong to heed anyone else’s concern, and her insistence – or devotion – send her into a world a she could never have guessed; but to land among pirates.

A hint of something far off and historical about all the character’s speech intrigues and gives a hint of old-time flavor, but also slows the action. The dialogue isn’t bad but I find that I read it more and more impatiently. The author indulges in long paragraphs of back story, slowing the pace at the start. On the other hand, the ‘real’ action is so exciting, so ‘in the moment,’ that it more than makes up for those slower parts, and makes this ultimately very worth reading! I suspect that fans of the older style historic novel will not find anything to complain about…

If a taste of the sea is what you are after, Ms. Oliver surely does not disappoint: from the swarthy pirate searching hapless vessels for plunder, difficulties involving sailing, and the requisite swordplay, it is all here! Surprisingly, though all things appropriately ‘pirate’ appear, the plot is fresh and unpredictable, characters enjoyable, and all the action keeps you turning the pages. Do read.

Anna, Kline, and Jack. Three people who all have the same thing in mind – ultimate pleasure and a night they won’t forget.

Anna has longed for a third person to join herself and her permanent lover, Kline, on their monthly trysts at a New York City hotel. Kline always takes control on these evenings, calling the shots and only allowing Anna to come when he wants her to, so what makes her think he will grant her request of having a threesome?

Kline has made Anna wait for her deepest desire, and tonight she will get the second lover she asked for a year ago. Kline will do anything to make Anna happy, including allowing the stranger inside her body, but he isn’t prepared for how sharing her will make him feel.

Jack is hired to join Anna and Kline for an hour of rampant sex and is hit with confusing emotions once he sees the beautiful woman spread-eagled on the bed, duct tape holding her wrists and ankles to the posts. Something about her changes his perspective with regards to his job, and he finds he wants more than just a sample of the woman who has gotten under his skin.

Three can be a complicated crowd. What sets this three-way story apart from the absolute glut of menage stories is not some super creative hook. The plot is very simple. What makes this story special is the way it deals with the complex feelings such an arrangement would bring out in the participants, both the negative and positive emotions. It’s a refreshing take.

There’s lots of emotion. Anna is a strong woman who knows what she wants and one of the things she wants is to have a three way with the man she loves and someone else. Having said that, it viagra for sale mastercard can also be a sensitive issue for them is erectile dysfunction. But now he’s ready to give it to her.

The paid lover, Jack, is deferential but still very masculine. For the first time sex is more than just work for him. There’s a surprising amount of character depth for only thirty-three pages. The sex was hot, plentiful and emotionally charged. This is a BDSM story, so definitely not for the faint of heart. But it’s a short, sexy story with lots of feeling.

Exotic dancer by night and struggling law student by day, Kacy Bonds thinks one night with a wizard is all she needs. But sexy Nash has a secret. Will the shocking truth destroy their wicked magic?

When a reader is in the mood for gritty descriptions and hard edged romance but is short on time then this book balances both to good effect.

Ms. Stryker had a tough job trying to imbue her characters with enough sympathetic angst in order to get readers to connect with the hero and heroine. The author succeeded in presenting me with a viable reason for Kacy to have the job that she does and why she reacted when the hero, Nash, did something unexpected.

Kacy is a woman who has goals in life and is realistic about the things she has to do to get there. She has lines she won’t cross and is picky about who she crosses them with. The heroine also doesn’t play games; if she needs sex, she goes and gets it, if she likes a man, she’ll pursue him. Ms. Stryker gave Kacy a personality that is sensitive and cynical, hopeful yet pragmatic and very in touch with herself. She doesn’t want sympathy from a man, she wants acceptance of the person she has become. She literally doesn’t pull her punches either.

My funny bone was tickled with the introduction of the hero, Nash Reed. His title alone had me cracking a grin. What is Erectile Dysfunction? An active sex life is part and parcel of any healthy relationship. cheap super cialis I enjoy watching a man who tries to play it straight and loses to the lust scrambling his brains. I am not convinced that he would have capitulated quite so quickly or easily but I also understand that a short story venue is hard to work within and things have to move at a quick pace. What I liked about Nash was his refusal to go any faster than he wanted to go. That made for some really hot scenes that were well written and delicious. Sure, it drove Kacy crazy, but that was the point. Nash had something to prove and I enjoyed every moment of it.

Like I said in the beginning, the story is rife with gritty words in both description and dialogue and if readers are uncomfortable with their frequent use they might want to skip them. But by no means skip the story itself because it has a certain sexy charm and it’s a fun read. It’s told from the point of view of the heroine so a reader gets to know her pretty well. Nash is still a mystery but he shared enough with Kacy for readers to understand he’s a forever kind of guy, with perks.

Wicked Magic should appeal to readers who enjoy erotic romances flavored with explicit dialogue, and actions that get the heart pumping and the imagination primed for a quick but satisfying romance. I enjoyed watching the sexual dance between Kacy and Nash and I was entertained. I’m glad I read it.

Another great story in the Creed series. Wonderful characters, dynamic dialogue and a setting that will make you want to move to Lonesome Bend. You will love the way these two needy characters dance around the truth, pretending their feelings are not on parade. Their epiphanies make for a thoroughly satisfying read.

Heart surgeon Sam McCormack is as sexy and irresistible as he was back in college…and ready to prove to the woman he’s always loved that it’s never too late to start over.…

Tomorrow…

Lauren Sutcliffe never expected her mother’s sixtieth birthday bash to lead to romance. But gorgeous Aussie builder Adam Hunter wants to stake his claim on the bossy, burned-by-love caterer. He wants to share all her tomorrows, if Lauren will just say yes!

And always!

David Longwood isn’t looking for love…until a family reunion throws him in the path of free spirit Kinsey McKeever. Suddenly the buttoned-down lawyer is rediscovering his passionate inner self and dreaming about forever after…with Kinsey.

Cape May, New Jersey sets the scene for three outstanding stories of reunion and love by authors Kasey Michaels, Sarah Mayberry and Teresa Southwick.

All Our Yesterdays by Casey Michaels begins this superb anthology about sisters Victoria Fuller and Margaret Mary Longwood who were separated as children when their parents died. Now, thanks to Tory’s daughter Allie, the girl’s birth father has been found and he wants to meet the daughter he never knew and the only woman he’s truly loved.

Heart surgeon Sam McCormack is as sexy and irresistible as he was back in college when the two lived together, but an unplanned pregnancy sent Tory on the run. How could she be responsible for ruining Sam’s high-flying plans to become a surgeon by saddling him with a baby?

Tory has come to Cape May to be reunited with her sister Peggy, a successful writer of children’s stories, but now incapacitated by both a broken foot and kidney disease. She can’t imagine Sam will see anything but the middle-aged woman she’s become, even though she finds him as handsome and thrilling as ever. Sam sees only the woman he loved…and still loves. Once he gets over his anger at her deception, can the man his staff thinks of as Dr. Hottie forgive the past and accept a future that includes a daughter and grandchildren?

All Our Todays by Sarah Mayberry continues the reunion of sisters Tory and Peggy but focuses on Peggy’s daughter Lauren Sutcliffe, a forty-year-old bossy, divorced caterer who’s busily preparing a smashing sixtieth birthday celebration for her mother that includes a family reunion. Included in the invitations is one to the sisters deceased brother’s partner, builder Adam Hunter.

By the time Allie had reunited Tory and Peggy, they’d discovered their baby brother had died in Australia, but they invited his business partner to join the celebration and tell them what he knew of their long lost brother.

Adam arrives at the beachfront Longwood home a week before the celebration. Before long Laurie is more than intrigued by the gorgeous Aussie, but how could they have a relationship when they live half a world apart?

All Our Tomorrows by Teresa Southwick continues the family reunion/birthday celebration theme, this time focusing on Laurie’s brother David, a successful attorney who seems to be missing out on life. Once a carefree young man and the hero of a series of children’s books, Davy daring has been replaced by a buttoned-down man both too sad and too serious.

Peggy’s physical therapist, Kinney McKeever is an exact opposite of staid David. She fun-loving, sassy and spontaneous…and she loves David. But how can she compete when David constantly reminds her that she’s an orphan with a history of rejections. Is she brave enough to take a chance? Can David learn to follow his heart?

I loved this anthology. Each story built on the previous one and the authors skillfully created a family you wanted to cheer for. The transitions were seamless, the writing outstanding. I empathized with Tory and Laurie, felt saddened by Kinney’s unhappy childhood and rooted for them to find a way to happiness. This is a feel-good book that will put a smile on your face and make you reach for a hanky as well. It’s been a long time since I’ve read a better anthology, and I have to say I liked each story equally well. As a whole, the book was superb.

It has been prophesied that four men, raised as brothers, will bring Scotland back to her rightful glory. It is time for the second to take up his sword.

When a Highland warrior fights, he fights for honor. And when Reeve MacAlpin sees a beautiful stranger surrounded by bandits, he does not hesitate to do the honorable thing and dispatch her would-be assailants. But at her first grateful touch, his instinct to keep her safe is surpassed by a longing to keep her close . . . and to fulfill her every desire.

For as long as Tara can remember, she has lost the people she loves most—a curse that is sure to doom anyone who shows her kindness. She can never love without bringing death—and though her powerful Highlander champion tempts her beyond imagining, she fears that to give herself to him means his downfall. And yet she knows she must tempt Fate . . . for to resist him would be just as unthinkable.

Unselfish love—a gift from the heart–is all that can take away the curse that was placed on Tara many years ago.

Raven-haired, lavender eyed Tara, known as the “death bride” seeks a safe haven to live her life in solitude where she will bring hurt to no one. While traveling she is beset by robbers. She stands her ground ready to accept her fate THEN the alpha-male Reeve MacAlpin comes.

A warrior, tall, lean, muscular, Reeve wields his lethal sword with exquisite grace and unerring accuracy. He takes Tara to the MacAlpin clan where there is no living in solitude. As she promised, she gives Reeve her money (almost all of it) which was “a bride’s price”, a virtual fortune. Why does our hair drop out? The MacAlpin clan’s mission is to see the rightful King of Scotland back on the throne. Reeve and his three chosen brothers, all mighty warriors, take note of the increased presence of the corrupt King Kenneth’s soldiers in their area. They sense the time draws near for action, yet realize there is something unusual about the often undisciplined actions of the soldiers. What finally comes to light sifts action into high gear for more than one reason. Tara’s old life intrudes making twists and turns in the plot that keep the reader turning pages.

The Picts, a unique people of mystery whom many fear, bring their skills to help the MacAlpins when they bring one of the brothers home who was seriously wounded by the soldiers. Their help and wisdom not only helps the fight against the enemy but also shows the way for Reeve and Tara as they, finally, with trust and honesty, reach out for love with courage..

Donna Fletcher is a fantastic story teller. She weaves history, superstition, customs of the time and the people, humor, and love into Loved by a Warrior. She shows Reeve with a sense of humor when he says “I’m always right”, but she also reveals that his unwavering efforts and good judgment proves the statement is true more often than not. He never loses sight of his goals.. Ms. Fletcher weaves in some poignant truths like “trust and honesty” are needed for a good marriage and advise to live with “courage not fear”. Her non-obtrusive writing style slips readers into that unique time in Scotland and lets them share a memorable vicarious experience with the characters. The remarkable love that is willing to give all makes Loved by a Warrior special.

Settings are the real estate of fiction

I love to find unusual settings for my stories, whether it’s an exotic locale I hope to visit someday, or just a place I find interesting.

A few years ago, I read a story about a small North Carolina town that used technology to bring together its farmers in a very cool and productive way. As I tend to do, I clipped it for my file.

A few years earlier, I’d begun writing an erotic romance. Something about it wasn’t quite right, even after revising it a few times. I liked the characters, and they certainly liked each other, so much it was sometimes difficult to keep them apart. *grins* But it wasn’t until I hit upon weaving the agricultural news story into my own story that things began to click. I love that clicking sound.

So the story became Just the Right Amount of Wrong, an interracial contemporary erotic romance.

The hero became Ravelo Pena, a Latino whose parents emigrated from Puerto Rico, and who push Rav to be the top of his class. Rav’s ambitious, and highly successful when he returns home to that small North Carolina town. But has success tainted him?

The heroine, Sara Mullaney, can’t be sure. In high school, she and Rav used to dream about helping the local farmers, but now that he’s a man, he’s different in so many ways. Some of them are very good ways – he used to be cute, but now he’s drop-dead gorgeous with the physique of an athletic trainer.

The Captain always goes down with his ship.

Josh Addison is recovering from a broken heart on a two week cruise of the Mediterranean.

Enter the captain of the ship, the dashingly handsome Kane Kessler. Josh is determined not to fall for him and convinced Kane won’t look twice. That’s not what his crazy neighbours Erik and Freddie think – and neither does Kane himself.

He wants to make Josh the Captain’s Man.

It’s a sin how much I enjoyed this story. I laughed so hard and then I felt so sad. It’s funny, sexy, sweet, naughty and poignant all at once. At only ninety-nine pages, it’s a lot more than I was expecting. I was anticipating just a frivolous vacation cruise romp with lots of hot sex. And it is that but it’s so much more, too. It’s a real romance with plenty of real emotional risk for both heroes.

Joshua Addison is a very authentic character, vulnerable and funny. I fell in love with him and got right into identifying with him. I was crying “Oh no, you didn’t!” each time that he did something stupid out of self-protection or pride, and feeling happy for him when things worked out anyway.

Captain Kane Kessler is commanding and sexy with just the right touch of the forbidden, or maybe I should say the forbidding. Joshua has been deeply hurt in the recent past and he’s not quite ready for the intensity that Kane shines on him. Appropriate tadalafil vs cialis deeprootsmag.org lifestyle and nutrition can greatly promote the rate of pregnancy and are beneficial in overall health. I enjoyed experiencing all the angst, anxiety and adoration of this once-in-a-lifetime affair with Joshua. In addition, the world of the cruise and the exotic locales they visit is brought to life. I could just smell the salt tang and coconut oils and hear the gulls.

Ms. Blackwell doesn’t shy away from showing their conflict, be it emotional, mental or physical. There are a few scenes of physical aggression between the two. It made it more real for me and it wasn’t overdone. It made it seem like two men in actual fact fighting their own attraction for each other in a relationship with high stakes. Their emotional conflict plays out in the sexual scenes in a beautifully interwoven way, nothing gratuitous here. And the sex is raw and hot, and tender and vulnerable all at once, certainly not for the faint of heart. This book is a full-bodied erotic romance.

The Captain’s Man is a for real love story about two for real men. I can see myself adding it to my guilty pleasures list and reading it more than once. Now I can’t wait to read the next book.
