11_27 Lane_A Billionaire Between the Sheets_MMA commanding presence in the boardroom and the bedroom, Deacon Beaumont has come to save the failing company French Kiss. He was born to be boss in this glamorous new world of lacy lingerie and stunning supermodels. But one bold and beautiful woman dares to question his authority.

Olivia Harrington has dedicated her life to the company’s success. Just because Deacon is sexy as hell doesn’t mean he’ll make a better CEO. With a limitless supply of push-up bras and garter belts, Olivia turns her considerable feminine charms on Deacon to discover what makes him tick . . . and reveals instead the billion reasons why she wants him to stay.

Enjoy an excerpt:

The words were out of Deacon’s mouth before he could stop them. Not that he didn’t know where they came from. The moment Olivia had started clicking through Grayson’s drawings, Deacon’s mind had stripped off Olivia’s gray power suit and dressed her in each article of lingerie. From the sheer, sexy nightgowns to the hot, leather corsets. And it didn’t help that Grayson had put Olivia’s features on the model in each drawing. It didn’t help at all.

Olivia blinked. “Excuse me?”

He could’ve teased his way out of it, but he discovered he didn’t want to. “Your panties,” he repeated. “I want to see them.” He watched a blush stain her cheeks, and her breasts lift in a quick inhalation of breath.

“B-but why?”

“Let’s just say that your designs intrigued me, and I’ve been wondering what style you chose as your own.”

Her breath released, and the moist heat brushed over his face and relocated beneath the fly of his jeans. She glanced at the door, and then whispered. “Someone could walk in.”

The fact that she was even considering it excited him even more. He smoothed back the wisp of hair that had come loose from the clip at the back of her head. “Don’t tell me you’re too bashful. Not when you’ve showed me your panties before.”

“I was fourteen.”

“It was still hot.”

Her eyes widened. “You thought I was hot?”

“Yes. So are you going to show them to me or make me guess?” When she only stared back at him with those pretty green eyes, he continued. “Let’s see. You have on a gray suit so I’m going to go with the purple satin panties with the little ribbon bows.”

She shook her head.

“The white see-through thong with the lace?”

Another shake, and her hair came unclipped, falling around her face in golden waves.

He lifted a strand and held it to his nose. It smelled like he thought sunshine would. Clean, fresh, and hot. “Please don’t disappoint me and tell me you’ve got on a pair of panties that are big enough to dry my two-ton truck after the carwash,” he teased.

There was a moment’s hesitation before she spoke so softly that he had to tip his head closer just to hear. “What with everything, I haven’t had a chance to do laundry.” She swallowed and blushed even brighter. “So . . .”

Her words trailed off taking all the oxygen in the air with them. He felt lightheaded and woozy. Or maybe his condition had more to do with all the blood rushing to his dick. Whatever the cause, he couldn’t think past one thing . . . Olivia wasn’t wearing any panties. And hadn’t been wearing panties the entire time she’d been doing the Power Point presentation.

Things I like doing when I’m not writing

1. Take classes. I’m a lifelong learner, and there’s nothing I love more than learning something new. Even though my university days are long behind me, I still take online classes in everything from archaeology to
history, calculus, and criminology. In fact, I’ve recently enrolled in a university to obtain a degree in history, all because it gives me an excuse to take a bunch more classes.

2. Play online video games. Yup, I’m a gamer girl (albeit an old one) who regularly plays World of Warcraft, although with periodic forays into Guild Wars 2, Lord of the Rings Online, Star Wars The Old Republic, Secret World, EVE Online, and oodles other games that keep my muse happy.

3. Spin yarn. The real kind, not tales (although I do that as well). When my hands let me, I spin various wools into yarns of varying results. There’s something peaceful and meditative in the process of spinning yarn, and it satisfies my need to take something raw and make a pretty (useable) material out of it.

4. Knit things. Not always with the yarn I spin (because arthritis doesn’t let me spin as much as I’d like), but I do go tend to go through a spate of knitting periodically through the year. Last year I knitted a ton of items for family members as Christmas presents; this year I am (very slowly) working my way through my first shawl. And in between, I knit socks.

5. Read old magazines and newspapers. I’m talking really old, Victorian-era stuff. I have a subscription to the British Newspaper Archive which I use simply to peruse old newspapers. Why? I have no idea, but I love the old illustrated papers. Likewise, I purchase bound copies of old English magazines like The Strand, Lady’s Realm, and
Windsor Magazine. I find them endlessly fascinating, and I have a secret love of the serialized novels contained therein.

Top Five Embarrassing Situations

1) Falling flat on my fanny in a crowded store that I frequented. Lots of people I knew as witnesses and would-be aid-givers. The fall hurt like the devil, flashed heat through me from head to foot, but I bopped back up, as though I were just fine. Despite having broken my pinkie finger. Luckily that was all I broke.

2) (This wouldn’t bother me as much these days, but people were more formal in restaurants when this happened.) Eating in a fancy restaurant with my hard-of-hearing grandmother. She desperately needed hearing aids but refused to get them. We were seated at a small table for two. Her back was to hallway where the waitresses emerged from the kitchen. I told Grandma that my lunch didn’t taste very good. Just as the waitress was coming toward us, staring straight at me, but unseen by my grandmother, Grandma said in a mega-phone voice, “What!? Did you say your food is awful!? That you can’t eat it!?” And no amount of signally on my part would get to stop going on and on until the whole restaurant was staring at us.

3) I flew to Chicago to an RWA Conference one July years ago. (That’s Romance Writers of America.) Since I knew the weather would not only be boiling hot, but more humid that I am acclimated to, I opted to wear a tank top with a built in bra and a little jean shirt over it. When I got to Chicago, I discovered my luggage was lost. That meant I had no conference clothes, and no bra. Since the hotel was downtown, finding something to wear wasn’t a problem, but finding a bra? This doesn’t seem like that much of a problem for people these days, but when this happened, it was totally embarrassing to me.

4) The mall parking lot had been cleared of snow, and the snow scooped into small mounds here and there. My eldest daughter and I were going shopping. I saw a mound and thought I’d give her a little laugh. Hah. I drove with all good intention of plowing into one such mound. I was picturing a fluffy snowy impact. I forgot it was in the low 20s outside that day. The mound was frozen solid. Ack. Lucky I didn’t damage the car. Much. Daughter teased me for years about that one. I was red in the face for half an hour after that.

5) Walking down the aisle of the airplane with TP hanging from the waist of my jeans. Thought my daughter would die laughing. Suggestion to airlines: hang mirrors on the bathroom doors.

5_5 Lee_A Wedding to Die For_E-BookA hundred years ago, a tiny town on the Puget Sound attracted a passel of bachelors desperate to marry. Thanks to the miracle of mail order, they did, and Weddingville was born. Hollywood costumer Daryl Anne Blessing knows that story all too well, and she hasn’t missed it, or much else about her hometown – except for hunky photographer Seth Quinlan. Now Daryl Anne returns to Weddingville to see her best friend say I do . . . and witnesses a whole lot of something hitting the fan-and it’s not rice. As the maid of honor, Daryl Anne must keep the bride calm, no matter what. But last time she checked, “what” didn’t include the bride’s estranged mother turning up, scandalizing the locals – and getting herself murdered. Nor did it include digging for clues with Seth, while trying to remember exactly why she left him behind. It’s quite a juggling act, even for a seasoned multi-tasker like Daryl Anne. She soon attracts lusty glances from Seth-and the attention of a killer who’s determined to take this town out of business . . .
