It’ll take more than rope to tie down the man they love.

Country Fever, Book 3

When Christian comes out of the bar to find a bat-wielding country girl beating the hell out of his best friend Tucker’s truck, he does the only thing he can—he flirts with her. Unfortunately, he knows her pain—he’s in love with Tucker too.

Claire plans to nurse her bruised heart alone, but inevitably Tucker draws her back in—along with Christian—and the three of them tumble headlong into delirious passion. Then she and Christian wake to find that Tucker has fled his horse ranch, leaving them to care for the animals and each other.

Still grieving the death of his fiancée, pressured to sign over mining rights to a coal company, Tucker is boots-deep in emotional turmoil. Running only sharpens his longing for what he truly wants—Christian and Claire in his bed, in the barn, and under the stars.

But roping themselves firmly inside the circle of love will take everything they have—bulldogged determination, flying fists and aching hearts.

Straight out of a country song, this sexy book opened with a feisty gal beating the crap outta her man’s truck, in a beer joint parking lot. It sounds exciting … and it sure was a sexy romp. Right away, I was drawn into this story, figuring it was bound to be one heck of a ride. It ended up being one of the most awesome books that I’ve read in a long time. I was enthralled, devouring it in one sitting, couldn’t bring myself to put it down.

The book got off to a great start, with Christian and Claire crossing paths just as she is taking her frustrations out on his best friend’s truck. It seems that Tucker is a bit of a hound dawg and he has jilted the wrong gal this time. There were much deeper issues at play with Tucker though, that came out in the story later on. Christian threatens the spitfire holding the bat with 3-5, but actually he is impressed with her fire. He knows what it’s like cause he has been in love with Tucker for a long time. That’s where the fireworks really started and took this book full speed into some wicked sexy fun.

Christian and Tucker are best friends that have a voyeuristic relationship. They get off on teasing each other and darned if I didn’t enjoy those scenes almost as much as they did.  The sexual tension between these two guys sizzled, it definitely kept this reader on edge. The author did a fantastic job at showing me what the characters were feeling, and it was obvious that Christian and Tucker were conflicted about their relationship. So far, it’s hands off, but they were dancing pretty close to the flames at that point. Scared to take the final step, not wanting to lose the friendship.

I felt that Tucker was the alpha in the relationship and he was the most troubled as well. He was chasing a ghost, his lost love, and with the guilt and fear he was afraid to fall in love. When Christian confronts him about doing Claire wrong, he feels guilty. No doubt he was a troubled man that wanted to move on but couldn’t let go of his grief. There is no denying that he felt something for Claire, that was part of the problem that prompted him to hurt her.

Then the guys decide to go after Claire with seduction on their minds and things got exciting. Em Petrova is one author that knows her way around an erotic scene. This book is not for the faint of heart. It’s risque, with explicit scenes that might not be everyone’s cup of tea. It was right up my alley and I enjoyed every single second. This triad does some serious exploring with every possible position and combination. On a personal note, The M/M and M/M/F scenes were some of the best I’ve come across, with a connection between Christian and Tucker that was loving and personal. Discerning readers will want to read the warnings clearly for this one, though, as some of the scenes are vividly detailed with anal play and voyeurism. For intrepid readers such as myself … you won’t be disappointed with this book.

Alas, the fun was cut short when Tucker panics at how easily the ghost of his lost love could be put to rest. He runs away from his ranch and his lovers, leaving them alone to console each other. At this point I fell completely in love with Christian. He was broken up, but he really held things together for Claire. His concern, his tenderness has made him one of my favorite romantic heroes. It’s no wonder they grew even closer, becoming inseparable. It became clear that they had a truly romantic and caring relationship. Together they faced some difficulties, had some problems with Tucker’s greedy relatives, and waited for Tucker to return to them.

It has to be said, that I felt this book was absolutely perfect. I can’t say enough good things about it. This was a very compelling and memorable story. It was the deep love that the triad shared, and that the author aptly showed with her excellent character development, that captivated this reader. This is one that I am sure to read again and again. I’m not done raving about it just yet. I will be sharing the joy, recommending it as a must read, to all of my friends. I am suggesting that everyone should try this amazing author.

Happy Reading!

Fire and Rain, Book 1

When an accident burns down Jesse’s apartment, he’s left broke and homeless, with a giant dog and a college schedule he can’t afford to maintain. And no family who’s willing to take him in.

Lucky for him, a sexy fireman offers him a place to stay. The drawback? The fireman’s big Latino family lives next door, and they don’t know their son is gay.

It offers stronger, cialis online prices harder and longer erections. I thought that this was such a simple fix!!! If you continue to have issues after checking these things one shouldn’t make further delay in choosing the most suitable viagra prices canada way so that he or she can get outcomes at lesser effort and at lesser expenses. Standard is meant as a goal for having cialis canada prescription a healthy sex life, is much higher than those who do not. Many have cialis wholesale india actually been quite successful with little or no treatment at all. Tomas’s parents made their way in America with hard work and by accepting help when it was offered, so he won’t let Jesse drop out of school just so he can afford a place to live. Besides, Jesse’s the perfect roommate—funny, sweet and breathtakingly cute. He climbs into Tomas’s bed and tugs at his heart. Until Jesse starts pushing for more.

Their passion enflames their bodies but threatens to crush Tomas’s family. Tomas is willing to fight for Jesse, but after losing everything, Jesse isn’t sure he can bear to risk his one remaining possession—his heart.

Sometimes when you lose everything, you find what you’ve always wanted. Jesse has just lost everything he owned in an apartment fire. He’d saved up and moved out of his parents’ disapproving home finally but after only a short time, he’s back to zero. Except this time without anywhere to go and a dog he’s unexpectedly claimed. Thankfully, hunky firefighter Tomas offers his home to Jesse. With nowhere to go, Jesse accepts and the two immediately click. While they are exploring sex together in new ways for both of them, their relationship isn’t quite as smooth sailing. Tomas is in the closet and Jesse is out and proud. The two struggle to find a middle ground.

From the Ashes is a nice story with a gentle romance. The two main characters, Tomas and Jesse, are friendly but have a definite attraction. Thus they get sexual pretty quickly, but with Jesse a virgin and Tomas having some sexual hangups, they ease into sex in a really nice progression. It fits with their relationship in general. However, Jesse is out and proud and insists on not hiding either who he is or who he loves. He can’t understand Tomas’ desire to be in the closet with his family, but eventually comes to recognize how Tomas’ family operates. Both men must give a little to get a lot in return and their road has some easy bumps that doesn’t upset the balance too much.

The characterization is nice and gives both men room to mature and expand. They’re not perfect and definitely make mistakes, together and individually, over the course of the story. I had some issues with the way Jesse and Tomas would act, but appreciated that they could actually talk things over instead of assuming and running off, with one exception. I found some of the scenes overly melodramatic, such as the scenes with Jesse’s parents. This scene and others, usually those involving the coffee house friend Michael, seem to add very little to the characters or the story. I think the author is setting up the secondary characters to have their own books but I never connected to them so felt these scenes were superfluous.

Harris’ writing is engaging and easy to read. It has a melodic quality that fits with the characters and their romance. This isn’t a hot and heavy read, but more so gentle and quiet as the two men slowly find their way to understanding and love. They certainly fall in love fast but that doesn’t mean all problems are solved. It’s nice to see that although they love each other too quickly, they still have to learn about each other and make mistakes to actually grow. I enjoyed reading From the Ashes and can recommend it for those readers who like a gentler, sweeter romance.
