The Taliban may have taken both of Chris’s legs, but he came back from Afghanistan with his sense of humour and his lust for life firmly intact. The one thing that can shake his confidence, however, is meeting Josh, the one-night-stand from before his tour of duty he hasn’t been able to forget.

It turns out Josh hasn’t forgotten Chris, either. But with Chris such a changed man, can they still have a future?

It’s The Ugly Duckling meets The One That Got Away. The title alone piqued my curiosity but it was the beautifully written characters that had me speed reading to the very end. This touching story gives a glimpse into the life of a man trying to put his life back together after losing both his legs in the war.

Chris is an inspiring character. He looks at his situation with a sense of humor. He doesn’t feel sorry for himself because it will not change anything. His outlook on life is positive and he’s moving forward, not looking back. He jumps back out into the bar scene looking to get that sense of normalcy of being intimate with another human being back into his life. Never did he expect to run into the same sweet brown eyes that called to him the first time he met Josh. This is one among the major cause for the occurrence of this disorder sometimes men are dealing with this disorder discounts on levitra in the starting stage of their sexual life. It is not effective against syphilis infections. free viagra in canada find for more info now As the proverb says, use it or view address now discount on cialis lose it. This is mainly due to a complication djpaulkom.tv acquisition de viagra called diabetic neuropathy.

This story is fast paced and moves right along. We get a peek into the life of Chris and his second meeting with Josh, who is one of those gorgeous men who lacks self confidence. He’s a very sweet character. I loved his innocence; it complemented Chris’s jokester personality perfectly. Sparks didn’t fly instantly but the attraction was an underlying current pulling the two men together.

The dialogue between Chris and his friends was funny and lighthearted. It magnified how this man deals with the tragedies in his life. He doesn’t let anything get him down. The British slang also helped give Permanently Legless an authentic feel. It was written so brilliantly, as if I were just sitting down with the gentleman at the table eavesdropping on their conversation.

This is a feel good story about life and how it never goes as expected. My only wish was that this story was a bit longer. I would have loved to see where Josh and Chris ended up five years down the road. After all is said and done I would wholeheartedly recommend Permanently Legless.

Mira did not know what she had in store the day she fell asleep while wanting to escape her current situation. Overcoming the death of someone close and burying herself in school and an internship has kept her somewhat awake and alive. An admiration for the actor James Dean was all that kept the memory of her father alive. If she couldn’t be with her father, she could at least remember what they shared. She always wanted to meet James Dean. Be careful what you wish for. It may just come true.

Will destiny and fate do their part? Can she change history or just be his consoling angel?

Mira is a likeable teenager from New York. She’s a busy girl with school and an internship. The reader gets a brief feel for her hometown then a description of lovely scenes with her dad before he passed away. She has a great relationship with her mom and big dreams in life.

It feels real, and one can identify with the characters. Thanks to her dad, Mira has an obsession with the actor James Dean. Fate has a surprise in store for her.

This story is set partly in modern-day times and partly in 1952, and the two connect via time travel. She finds herself back in the fifties, where the real fun begins. To her pleasure, she meets her idol, James Dean, and there’s chemistry there; it’s sweet but genuine. She warns him about the accident that will kill him. Does she change history, or does he not take her seriously? Her time in the past with him could end any second, and she values it. She says, “I had to live my life instead of making myself forget.”

Another question comes up: What will her trip back in time mean for her present?

For such a short story, this one is charming and addresses some really good questions. Mira is a good character, easy to root for, and her interactions with others, especially James Dean, are well written. When she comes back to her present, she runs into someone that will change her life.

A good little story, I recommend it to those who like YA and time travel.

This is a love story.

Boy meets girl and girl falls for boy – that much is true.

But when Sienna meets Nick it`s not the way it happens in love stories. It`s because of a squirrel on water skis…

She sees Nick`s dangerous brown eyes and thinks,

Don`t.

Fall.

Into.

Them.

Who will be there to catch Siena when she falls? She is so fragile. She has so many secrets, and he is not that serious.

Funny and sad, this is the story of two people destined never to come together in the great love affair they crave more than anything else.

Special British humor and lots of “ungrownup” action sets the stage for Sienna and Nick’s much deserved HEA. Sienna as “girl next door” heroine will melt our heart while Nick emodies the conflicted hero who comes across as more of an anti-hero. Prepare yourself for an emotional roller-coaster ride.

Sienna Walker, unaware of her natural beauty, has lots of insecurities. To compensate, she tackles her job at Cube Publishing with determination while keeping her private life secret. Oh, happy day when she realizes the gorgeous smiling man on the train, the man who stole her heart, also works at Cube Publishing. He’s Nick Redland a graphics designer. That’s the good news. She also learns he’s a prankster and acts horrifyingly juvenile around his working buddies. A business trip to Florida proves to Sienna that Nick knows how to work hard and play hard. While there they form a bond both of them treasure—a bond of friendship that has them reluctant to speak of love for fear of losing the best friend either of them had ever known.

This is a Love Story spans five years and takes the reader on a vicarious adventure with Sienna and Nick ranging from the sublime to the ridiculous. Drinking and partying, prank playing, bed hopping, and serious, loving, caring connections are woven into the story. I particularly enjoyed the treasured times when Nick and Sienna do things together just as friends.

Their inability to communicate on a deeper emotional level is both humorous and sad. But taking the journey with them as they move toward mature adulthood is captivating.

Some of the secondary characters, especially Sienna’s handicapped father, make the story multifaceted. Nick and Sienna, along with their friends grow and evolve as they try to find their way to what is truly meaningful and worthwhile in their lives.

This is a Love Story is well-paced and smoothly written adding to the pleasure of reading this entertaining romance. For me, the hero and the heroine having casual sexual relationships with others was off-putting. Still, the story has many redeeming qualities that kept me turning pages, anticipating the turning point in Sienna’s and Nick’s lives. Their happy-ever-after is a long time coming with some big obstacles to overcome.

Jessica Thompson has a sparkling; energetic writing style that makes THIS IS A LOVE STORY bubble with humor and hum with love from start to finish.

Tasmin Robins has worked hard to earn her coveted diplomatic internship on the mysterious imperial world of Aurora. Driven and smart, though occasionally impulsive, Tas has a ten-year plan — and it doesn’t include love.

When Tasmin risks her life to save a stranger, she has no idea her sacrifice will leave her fate entwined with the most powerful man on Aurora — DeMarcus Le’JeMur, Prince of the Stars and Ruler Of The Seven Kingdoms, ruler of the planets under Aurorian control.

When DeMarcus impulsively declares he owes Tasmin a life debt, she must convince the Imperial Council to grant them both their freedom. But after a night of erotic delights with the sexy alien, will she be able to let him go?

The saying ‘The eyes have it’ fits perfectly for this clever, entertaining and delightfully fun story. Falling in love with an alien has never been as sexy and steamy as when DeMarcus and Tasmin explore their strange courtship.

I was pleasantly surprised not only with how complete and well developed the novella was but how detailed and interesting the world was that the author created to showcase this unusual love story. Tasmin is a feisty and vocal heroine who acts first and thinks about it later. Her instinctual drive to protect and put herself in harm’s way put a spotlight on her protective instincts. That quality and strength of character got her to the planet Aurora and it also provided the reason for her life taking an unexpected turn into romance. She saves a guy who is more than a mere male. I thought that whole premise to be unique, thrilling and a great hook. The author didn’t disappoint me. Ms. Monroe provided me a wonderful book filled with some of the best elements in romance.

Of course, the hero being delicious, handsome, commanding and noble didn’t hurt. That he was proficient with a sword made the primitive female in me sigh and it certainly kept my interest. How could it not? DeMarcus was at turns the arrogant ruler, with an smug attitude that covered up the untouched heart of the man inside.

I actually like the plot technique of a man being dazzled by a woman who is unlike any other. It makes a lot of sense to me. Familiarity breeds contempt, or at least boredom. It’s the discovery of the unknown, the unpredictable that flames passion and nothing can be as different as a woman from another planet, especially if that planet is Earth. Even with all those differences, the things that remain the same are love, trust, fidelity and respect. The author had her characters touch base on all of them. Even in such a short space Ms. Monroe managed to imbue her characters with foibles and worries, weakness and doubt that eventually would be overcome by the true nature of the hero and heroine as they were tested in a mild but no less exciting clash with a villain. These signals with blood then trigger the male reproductive organ generic levitra india http://deeprootsmag.org/2013/07/23/where-the-gremmies-and-the-ho-dads-never-go/ for a once also. All the ways of work, the dose and quantity and finally http://deeprootsmag.org/2013/06/18/what-if/ buy cialis add to the shopping cart. prescription du viagra These stupid ways hardly make any difference to their problem.

I wasn’t sure if Tasmin’s sister was necessary as written. She seemed like a piece of glue – sticky and messy, good for some things in a pinch but not solid. She sort of annoyed me a bit but I can’t articulate anything specific. If there were to be a sequel about her, I wouldn’t care to read the book. Now, if DeMarcus had a brother, I might be interested. As for editing, there was only one glitch and that was a needed word missing in the beginning of a sentence. Other than that, it was perfect.

When the protagonists were sent to that room without a view, I was as curious as the heroine but not as nervous. I don’t think I could have survived that level of intensity, though it sure sounded like fun.

On the other hand, the scene where DeMarcus taught Tasmin to obey him was off the charts. That was incredibly written, thoroughly enjoyable and sexy with a capital “S”. And whenever he told her where to look and she did, the results were truly stellar. In fact the whole idea behind it was clever and a treat to read. And when she looked up and the hero told her what she was looking at, I had one of those “wow” moments. I love it when the unexpected happens. Very cool.

Star Prince by Ashlynn Monroe is a sexy out of this world experience that is a pleasure to read. Science fiction romance readers will find the locale exotic, the customs satisfactorily alien and a hero and heroine that truly are well matched. I had a fun time reading this tale and it was read in one sitting. I enjoyed the light drama, the way DeMarcus and Tasmin took turns seducing each other and the marriage ceremony. The happily ever after was not a long drawn out affair but it was enough to assure me they were going to be very good for each other and their adventure is just beginning. I’m so happy I discovered this book because it’s well worth spending time with. Grab a copy and see.

When Kylee breaks an antique ornament she found in a specialty store, she doesn’t expect to find herself flung into another reality.

After dreaming of the same man night after night, Kaylee realizes she’s fallen in love…with a vampire. Too bad he only exists in her imagination. After a trip to the mall and a strange ornament shop, Kaylee finds herself back home, only it’s not quite the same. The man on her couch who looks dead can talk into her mind and he insists she’s the one who isn’t supposed to be alive.

After a year of living without his beloved mate, Gregori decides to end his life. Too bad he picked the wrong night. After thieves break into his beloved mate’s home, he finds what can only be a Christmas miracle in the form of his mate, alive and well and as snarky as ever. Given a second chance, Gregori sets out to convince Kaylee that her place is at his side.

Who wouldn’t want a “dream come true” ornament hanging on their tree?

The Ornament is a light Christmas read with a very clever premise. Kaylee is lonely and given to allowing dreams (and dream-lovers) to keep her from real life relationships. Or maybe she’s just holding out for a happily-ever-after. Either way, she’s likeable and the plot line is good—pretty girl touches an antique Christmas ornament and gets sucked into an alternate reality; a world in which her handsome, vampire, dream lover is real.

But there’s a bit of wax in this fun story. Men are likely to lose sex power due to years of over masturbation best levitra price habit. female viagra samples The optical drive has lens for reading disks that are prone to getting dirty. It can cure the root of the disease, thus, the premature ejaculation online viagra http://cute-n-tiny.com/cute-animals/party-hamsters/ can be eliminated as well. This kind of treatment is not immediate and the patient has to wait for sometime before he rediscovers his form. levitra viagra cialis The rules in this alternative universe aren’t as clear as they could be. Some unnecessary characters detract from Kaylee and Gregori’s relationship and Gregori could have been better developed. Still, what’s not to like about a hero who is willing to die for his love and has no problem communicatng his feelings? His grief at the loss of his mate felt real and poignant. Kaylee is strong and spunky. She tends to be quick to decide which battles are worth fighting for and which aren’t. Quick decision making can save your life but it can also cause you to miss imporant details.

I enjoyed The Ornament. Heck, chocolate covered pretzels are good whether they are the bulk bin kind or gourmet, as long as you know what to expect before you take a bite. The Ornament may be a novella but if quick and clever is what you’re in the mood for it’s quite satisfying. It’s a treat for your mind.

Amelia MacDonald liked her life.

Her parents were both teachers, which most kids would find annoying, but Amelia liked it just fine. Sure, her family was quirky — with her ‘Da’ being Scottish and a bit on the Geek Chic side — and her mom was actually fun to hang out with — but that was the way she liked it.

Then everything changed. Fast.

Her mom died, her family broke. If that wasn’t bad enough, the university where her father taught literally shut down without enough students to keep it open. Everything she thought her senior year — her life — would be just disappeared.

Now, she and her Da are trying to rebuild their lives with only 2/3rds of their family. She’s in a new school where quirky isn’t cool, and it’s even more uncool when your father is the new English teacher and he’s unlike any teacher any kid at this school has ever seen.

She could try to be like everyone else, try to blend in as best as any ‘new kid’ can, but that’s not Amelia.

Taking a stand makes her plenty of enemies, but by Christmas her senior year, she’s also made the kinds of friends who will last her a lifetime. They all live in the Land of Misfit Teens, but at least they live there together.

This is one of those novels I couldn’t put down. Make no mistake, though there are romantic elements in this story, it’s not one of those HEA novels. One easy way to test if their viagra pfizer problem is psychological. In this manner, this medication work to provide its users generic cialis no rx with enough stamina required for a successful sexual encounter. This is something that is said over and over, but most men do not buy viagra in usa pop over to these guys take this advice. In earlier days, the buy viagra line problem of Erectile Dysfunction, you have to go to the doctor regarding the same. It tackles difficult subjects – the death of a parent, loss of income, gang violence – and the 19 year old author isn’t afraid to tell it like it is: it sucks. It sucks right from the prologue, where main character Amelia describes her mother’s death, right through the shoot-out by rival gangs in the school Amelia now attends.

The concerns of the characters, true to the teen experience, range from the mundane (“does he like me?”), to the serious: will her father be able to afford to send her to college. Chapter one, Amelia starts attending an inner city Chicago high school. She gets lost, and when she finally finds an office, the secretary is more interested in complaining than in helping Amelia. It’s funny, and it’s true, and it’s sad. It’s told in the third person, with multiple points of view, and Amelia’s voice, ironic and self-deprecating, is distinctive. I enjoyed this line, which ends chapter one: The silence was broken by someone coughing. Oh, yeah, this was going to be fun.

The book contains a number of places where “where” is used when the text should contain “were.” In fact, there were so many I can’t help thinking that this was one of those editing glitches we all are prone to: hitting “replace all” when that’s not what we wanted to do.

The point-of-view shifts are well-handled, and there was no head-hopping, but occasionally, as at the start of chapter three, I was unsure who the point of view character was until half-way down the page. And I didn’t feel that the author provided quite enough details of the setting for me to really picture it. I wanted to see, smell, hear, what the high school halls were like, and I didn’t quite get it.

The author has a real feel for plot and pacing, and the book rolls along at a good clip, with just enough light relief to provide a welcome break, as when Drake agonizes over whether or not to sit next to Victoria at lunch toward the end of Chapter Seven. And the shoot out in the school hallway had me digging my nails into the palm of my hand.

Kudos to the author, who manages to convey her message about teen violence without descending into either melodrama or preachiness. If you’re a teen, the parent of a teen, or, yes, were a teen, you won’t want to miss this fine book.

Released from prison, is Michael looking for sweet revenge, or forbidden love?

When she was in her late teens, Nicole Harris fell in love with her sexy boyfriend, James Carmichael, but when he was accused of murder, and she was forced to testify against him, the relationship ended seemingly forever.

Now, ten years later, he’s been freed from prison, has reinvented himself, and now calls himself by a new first name. Has Michael returned to seek revenge?

Nicole is confused when she meets him, realising their past can never be regained. However, much to her chagrin, Michael pursues her and although her logical mind resents him, her treacherous body wants nothing else except to be near him. She relives the past where they used to play games of light bondage and suddenly, Michael is re-enacting those games and leaving her breathless and wanting more!

Once again, Michael is a huge part of her life, but not for the sake of love, but for revenge. Can she run far enough away from him or will she become embroiled in the intrigues of the past?

Nicole’s murdering ex-fiancé has returned. Does he want revenge or a second chance?

After ten long years, Nicole Harris has moved on from the love of her life. She’s newly engaged and has a career she enjoys. The only thing missing is the passion filled days and nights prevalent in her past life. Nicole loves her fiancé and is determined to have a normal life. The one time she fell in love with an over-the-top man, it ruined her. She won’t ever let that happen again. She would rather have cool nights with a boring man then ecstasy with a murderer.

On one snowy night, Nicole’s life is turned upside down. In walks her ex-love, James Carmichael, or as he is now known, Michael Karlisi. She’s terrified of what he will do to her and even more frightened at what he will do to her body. Her mind is telling her to run away, but her body is screaming to run to him. The more she’s around him, the more confused she gets. She questions his past and current motives, never quite sure what to believe. Now time is closing in on her and the tables have turned. Can she trust the one man she betrayed?

Imminent Conquest has many BDSM elements but readers need to be clear on the subject of forced seduction. Both of these factors are well written in the story and very readable. The forced seduction is in conjunction with the BDSM. Michael is a dominant lover and in their initial relationship they dabbled quite a bit into bondage play. A good understanding of the medication is however required viagra no doctor before indulging in any, and this type of understanding can only be brought about by consultation with your physician. So when he’s trying to convince her to take him back he partakes in their old games and he essentially forces the subject on her, repeatedly and at times not very pleasantly. I don’t consider the scenes as rape since Nicole ultimately agrees to intercourse but some find the scenes a bit harsh. There’s no irreversible pain and suffering other than Nicole trying to come to terms with her feelings for Michael. The BDSM is light so there are no clubs, whips, chains or paddles involved in the making of this story. Just a wee bit of He-man loving! The only reason I even used the BDSM label is because, the was bondage and submission involved.

It was difficult to connect with the story initially. Plausibility is a must for me. Even though I love fantastical stories, the beginning of this tale didn’t hold true for me. The believability of the events made this contemporary novel read as a fantasy. The story seemed to drift off course when the POV shifted to a secondary character. Finally, though, the story started gel towards the end. The fantastical started to make more sense and become plausible. Michael and Nichole’s lives are bittersweet but their happiness and love is real and well earned. The inconceivable maze these two must maneuver to find their HEA is complicated at best but so unique and gripping I had to finish reading their story.

All in all, Imminent Conquest was an good story. I did find it enjoyable and I have no problems recommending it. Ms. Lynn did a wonderful job keeping the truth of the mystery a secret, even surprising me with her revelations. For that, I have to give her major kudos. Also, despite the POV change, her continuity is spot on. This is a complex but well developed story.

So the bottom line is, if you like mysteries that keep you guessing until the end and a hot love story that proves true love never dies, then be sure to pick up your own copy of Imminent Conquest.

Her instincts tell her he’s dangerous…

While her overprotective brother’s away, Meara Greymere’s planning to play—and it wouldn’t hurt to find herself a mate in the process. The last thing she needs is one of his SEAL buddies spoiling her fun, even if the guy is the hottest one she’s ever seen…

His powers of persuasion are impossible to resist…

Finn Emerson is a battle-hardened Navy SEAL and alpha wolf. He’s a little overqualified for baby-sitting, but feisty Meara is attracting trouble like a magnet…

As the only responsible alpha male in the vicinity, Finn is going to have to protect this intriguing woman from a horde of questionable men, and definitely from himself…

I got the greatest chuckle out of the pickle this otherwise competent and macho hero gets himself into. Doesn’t matter that he’s a Navy SEAL and a werewolf – all of his prowess and stealth can’t prevent him from falling in love. A man like him needs a woman who will challenge, poke, prod and thwart all his best laid plans and intentions. There’s no better heroine than Meara Greymere to get the job done and I enjoyed every moment.

It’s a great set up — Finn is going to protect the baby sister of his Navy SEAL buddy from her wayward ways. No man is good enough to be her mate but does he really stop to wonder why every single male is suspect and why he has such a keen interest in being so ‘thorough’? It can’t possibly be because he’s deluding himself, can it? No way could it be because he wants her for himself. He’s much too noble and focused to fall onto that well trodden path of lovey dovey cooing like his friend. He’s made of sterner stuff. He’s a soldier. Yeah, right. I could see him falling hard and wagging his tail all the way with mock growling and posturing. I adored Finn.

Good thing Meara is a woman not easily thrown off of the scent and she gives as good as she gets. I had fun watching the heroine be herself. She’s certainly stubborn, feisty and opinionated. She’s a planner, that one. But she never ever could have foreseen the action and diabolical betrayals that blow her little mating plot to smithereens. Her reactions to the bad news as well as the good were fascinating to watch. She’s not a weak character and she took turns impressing me and surprising me.

The drama that starts the ball rolling happens pretty fast in the story. It doesn’t take long before Finn and Meara are on the run, not knowing truly who to trust. People they thought they couldn’t trust became integral to their safety and those they never gave a second thought to their loyalty got a rude awakening. It was sad, really. Along these lines delayed viagra price in india restraint will just make her feel that you are no longer interested in her. It seems like bad guys are the best actors because they have the most to gain and believe they can’t lose. They treat it like a cat and mouse game with deadly intent but enjoy the feeling of power they get from pulling the wool over their eyes. It took some delicate and timely maneuvering to get the players in place for the big showdown. The author did an excellent job of putting it all together, stringing me along and hiding who the true villains were until the last possible moment.

Wait until readers get a load of Bjornolf. You want to talk about a hunky guy with chutzpah and mysterious vibes? He’s got it in spades. What an awesome character to introduce and tease readers with. I hope his story is next because I’ve certainly taken a keen interest in the man. So effective, manly and maddening, he was a great addition to the story. And what he used to tie up the other operative? Oh yeah, I’m there. Any man that cheeky has got to have a story to tell.

As I’ve come to expect from Ms. Spear, when she gets her hero and heroine together it’s a sizzling good time with plenty of great point-counterpoint dialogue, sensual build-up and scorching delivery. The editing was perfect, the descriptive words painted scenes that jumped off of the pages and grabbed a reader’s attention. The action was tight and delivered with a high-powered punch. I wouldn’t have expected anything less from a story about a well trained Navy SEAL and I was certainly satisfied. So was Meara.

As for the happily ever after, it started off romantic and thrilling and then the author put the brakes on by making me laugh and giggle. Finn is SUCH a guy! See me roll my eyes. And you know what? It fit. Perfectly.

A SEAL in Wolf’s Clothing is a non-stop action packed romance with kick, growls and sexy attitude. I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough because there was so much going on, I couldn’t wait for what came next. A word to the wise – don’t start this book close to bed time, it’s too exciting! I also thought the guy on the cover with those dazzling aqua-blue eyes perfect brain-food for imagining Finn as he wooed his feisty heroine. Get your own copy and experience the adventure because he is as the story is, irresistible.

Sometimes you have to walk away from everything to find your heart’s desire.

Lone Wyatt left Colorado for the rodeo circuit, leaving his brother and the woman they both loved to build their lives together. Lone has seen what love can do, and he wants that for himself: one woman who can love him for himself, someone to grow old with and live life to the fullest. One chance visit to a small Oklahoma bar is all it takes to show Lone what he wants.

Charli Kudrow needed to hire someone to help on the ranch. She never dreamed that her hastily posted ad on the bulletin board at the bar would bring a cowboy like Lone into her life. Lone sees something in Charli, a spark of loneliness and a gentle beauty he wants to know better. Charli knows getting involved with the younger cowboy is not her wisest choice, but when hearts get involved, all bets are off. Can Charli accept all that Lone has to offer her? Lone knows he’ll have to break down the walls to Charli’s heart and find a way in. These two deserve a happy-ever-after. Now they simply have to find their way.

Lone Heart is the delicious follow up to Delilah Devlin’s previous book about the Wyatt brothers, True Heart. It might even imply viagra pill uk presence of a naked woman for sexual stimulation and they treat sex as one of their greatest accomplishments. The characters are well crafted and the world is a realistic depiction of country life found on ranches throughout the west. This is the story of one determined cowboy going after what he wants; a man who refuses to take no for an answer, and doesn’t plan on failing in his quest. I love where Ms Devlin took this story, away from the predictable course and into this world of fun and hot cowboy sex.

Charlene ‘Charli’ Kudrow is a woman who is merely coasting. Widowed after losing the love of her life, she has drifted into a rut, and has let life sort of pass her by. She’s determined to keep her ranch, working hard, side by side with her late husband’s best friend as the only man in her life. She’s tired and lonely, yet, afraid to look for more out of life. I loved how Charli was willing to grab what Lone was offering, even when she thought it would be temporary. She’s old enough to know better and therefore determined to make him work for it, every step of the way.

Lone Wyatt is a handsome devil, sure of himself and determined to make a life for himself away from Colorado. He’s seen what love can do, and he wants to find someone for himself. Lone is a charmer. He knew right away that Charli was going to be important to him. He impressed me with his determination to have her get to know him. It would take a man like Lone to break through the wall Charli had built and help heal her heart.

Ms. Devlin has written a luscious love story, filled with new beginnings and passions reawakened. The conversations between Lone and Charli are delightful and show the simple joy these two find in each other’s company. I had to smile at Charli’s sass and that Lone was mature enough to see through it to Charli’s true feelings. Of course, this couldn’t be Delilah Devlin without some hot and sizzling cowboy sex. Lone Heart has plenty of that to warm even the coldest night. This book can be read as a stand alone, but reading True Heart adds so much to the enjoyment and background. I will warn you to keep the cold drinks close at hand. Appropriately named, Lone Heart has loads of heat and heart to spare.

The Librarian and the Preacher: dull premise, you say? Try hot and fast! I hadto read this book all in one sitting. It captivated me from the first few pages!

Determined to lead a proper and spinsterish life as a librarian while running away from a disastrous previous relationship, Isis is persuaded otherwise by a handsome preacher. Even their kisses are hotter than a 100 degree day.

Isis Garrett traveled from Egypt to Paloverde, Texas to start a library and a new life. The hero, Preacher Prescott Mackay, is enjoying helping people in his parish and taking care of his ranch. Both of them are hiding secrets from the past they worry would have others see them in a not-so-desirable light. What secrets are they both hiding? Will the other person think less of them if their secret is revealed? Isis very reluctantly agrees to a date with Pres. She thought that since he’s a preacher, he would surely be a gentleman. What they experience together is a sensual treat sure to have your pulse pounding.

Quinn’s writing is wonderful, making the vicarious experience seamless. The plot is well-written and moves along at a quick pace. I felt as if I were transported into this frontier town, experiencing life in 1877. With historical stories, I am often worried the descriptions might take over the story which would have me lose interest in it. Ms. Quinn makes sure her characters are up front and center, with the description enhancing the story like whipped cream on dessert. The characters themselves are honorable and attractive people (despite Isis worrying about her self-perceived plumpness). They won my admiration when they help Opal, a town prostitute, showing her the same concern and regard as anyone else. The characters’ internal struggles about their past and their interactions with each other make for a very satisfying story.

Hot Under the Collar was a wonderful reading experience. The author has won me as a fan and I will be looking for more books from Ms. Quinn! If you enjoy a well deveolped historical and don’t have much time to read, you won’t want to miss out on reading this very sexy novella.
