And one kiss always leads to another . . .

Equal parts honey and steel, Phoebe will stop at nothing to find her missing brother and save her family. Though associating with Andreas means peril and scandal, she never expects to experience a passion so intense that it threatens to consume her. But enigmatic Andreas is no ordinary man to love. He brings dangers from all sides— without and within—while tempting her beyond her wildest dreams . . .

Phoebe Pace becomes a proactive young woman in the family business when her brother goes missing and her father’s acumen falters. Armed with ledgers, her keen intelligence, naivety, innocence, and a smile that lights up the room, she beards the lion, Andreas Merrick, in his den. He holds the paper on her father’s debts and she needs to make a deal.

Andreas Merrick is feared and avoided by even the most depraved and wicked. One of free viagra prescription the most common issues faced by men is erectile dysfunction. Andreas carved his empire with blood, steel, and unyielding determination as he took Roman along with him. He rules with fear and an uncanny knowledge about what goes on in places of power inside and outside London.

Phoebe can plot, but mainly she operates on instincts and emotions as she infiltrates the fearsome Andreas’s world and wins the hearts of the hard case men and boys who people it. She stands up to his brutishness and compares him to a harsh thunderstorm that is beautiful, to a fearsome gargoyle that stands guard over its own, and to the dangerous yet arresting Mephistopheles. Yet, she chooses to love him and gives him control of almost half the Pace and Company assets, believing he can save it from her nemesis Lord Garret.

The intriguing entanglement of the many characters is amazing and makes In Total Surrender a compelling tale. Anne Mallory’s plotting skills hold one’s attention while the humor she manages she weaves into such dark lives gives comic relief at just the right times.

Ms. Mallory weaves a tapestry of a tale with lots of dark, ominous characters, but the bright, golden thread of Phoebe woven in liberally makes an arresting design that enthralls from start to finish. Her unique writing style with expressive metaphors creates characters that bombard one’s emotions and plots that scare and even horrify at times. But, the scenes where Phoebe breaches Andreas’s defenses and the reader gets to see the true Andrea are breathtaking. They redeem what early-on seemed like an unredeemable hero—a hero that falls “prey” to the intrepid Miss Phoebe Pace, who makes his dark world sparkle with her smile and unconditional love. This journey from darkness to light makes GOOD READING!

When characters develop a mind of their own…

Before I started writing my first novel, I used to imagine writers more as puppet-masters – planning out their novels and orchestrating everything to fit within that outline. As my only writing experience had been with short stories, nothing I’d yet encountered had contradicted that. I was able to plan out a narrative and then write it almost exactly as I’d expected. Is it any wonder I didn’t find the experience all that exciting? There was no spontaneity involved, and I lost interest in writing for a good few years.

When I discovered the joys of writing erotic romance and was in the process of planning out my first novel, I thought I needed to know everything about what was going to happen. I had character sheets with detailed histories, a rough outline for the whole plot, and yet still I imagined I needed more. I could have gone on planning until I’d killed all the joy in the whole project. It took an experienced writer to tell me: “just get going and see what happens. You’ll discover the story as you go along.” Boy, was she right!

I began writing Barging In eighteen months ago, and while the first few scenes went exactly according to plan, I soon realised that I had a loose cannon in the character of Robin. I thought I knew him inside out, but clearly I was wrong as he kept doing unpredictable things. He was meant to be staying closeted at home, avoiding other men, yet he decided he wanted to go out to a gay bar. His first sex scene alarmed me as I had no idea he was that dominant. Worse yet, he would refer to things in his past that weren’t on my history sheet for him. I would find myself staring at the computer screen, asking myself where the hell did that just come from? I was the puppet-master, wasn’t I? It was like someone had cut all the strings and my puppets were parading around all by themselves.

Since then I’ve become much more relaxed about planning stories. I have discovered that many of my strongest scenes come about as a result of characters taking charge and doing things I couldn’t have predicted. Yes, in my subsequent drafts I have to go back and change earlier details in light of things the characters tell me later on, but I think the extra work in the drafting process is a small price to pay for having vibrant, lively characters who take charge of their own narratives.

Writing is never boring when your characters have minds of their own. I’m no longer a puppet-master, I’m more like a Domme – I can set up the scene but my characters are feisty subs and are prone to insubordination, refusing to follow my orders. Sometimes they even use their safewords, yelling: “there’s no way I’m doing that – it’s out of character!”

It can be frightening at times, and it takes a huge amount of faith to just let loose and see where the story leads me, but it’s exhilarating and I couldn’t go back to planning every last detail ever again.

What about you? Readers, do you think you can tell the difference between a meticulously planned and a “seat of the pants” type novel? And writers, do you have a preference for staying in control, or do you let your stories lead you where they want to go?

He may be the younger brother of a viscount, but Leo Wade is more at ease in London’s gaming halls and ladies’ boudoirs than at tonnish events. Although lately, he’s been consumed by a growing boredom he can’t shake…That is until Leo stumbles upon three society misses trying to steal a scandalous painting from his gentleman’s club and becomes obsessed with pursing a lady unlike any of his acquaintance.

An artist, bluestocking and veritable spinster by anyone’s definition, Susanna Leland never dreamed she and her cousins would find themselves in the eye of a potential scandal. So when she receives an invitation to a country house party she takes it hoping to escape London and divert the suspicious gaze of Mr. Leo Wade. Susanna never expects he’ll follow her!

As the unrepentant rogue and on-the-shelf artist clash, Leo may just have met the one woman immune to his charms, and Susanna may have found the one man she can’t scare off with her intellect. But when the pair are caught in a compromising position and forced to marry, they may just find that the price of trust is well worth every scandalous secret.

Every Scandalous Secret is a hero’s journey from being a person who seems to have no redeeming qualities to becoming a person who loves unconditionally and who has worthy goals and purpose in life. At first this seems to be a story about the ordinary Regency doings… then hints of deeper, more intense, and more fearful issues seep in.

The reader is swept into a unique battle of wits between two very intelligent, determined protagonists and soon feels a chemistry that takes the challenges far afield of the wager concerning a nude painting on display in a gentlemen’s club in London.

Susanna Leland, the cousin of the Duke of Madingley, is well-known as a bluestocking, an artist, and most likely a forevermore spinster. Yet, she is at Lord and Lady Bramsfield’s house party, with other much-younger ladies, shopping for a “suitable” husband. She promised her family (and herself) she would try once more. But she does have “standards”—none of which Mr. Leo Wade seems to meet.

Mr. Leo Wade’s usual pursuits in London have become dull and predictable. The medicine works the best sildenafil 100mg uk when consumed at least 30 minutes prior to the sexual activity. Spammers also use nefarious means that are akin to levitra low price the actual stroke attack. Change your habits: Switch to juices or water purchase tadalafil online instead of alcohol or coffee. His new venture holds promise. He follows Susanna to the house party, wrangles an invitation and sets in to win the wager while having a good time flirting with the women, trying to seduce Susanna, as always avoiding the marriage trap. He feels confident in winning a wager with his two friends Peter Derby and Lord Parkhurst. Little did he know how far Susanna would got to protect her young sister Rebecca and her cousin Elizabeth.

The strict rules of Regency time change things for both Susanna and Leo. They must make the best of what each is sure a BAD situation, but Leo Wade’s sense of honor (that few realize he has) will not allow him to do less than what is expected.

Susanna looks at Leo like an adult would look at an incorrigible child, but her artist eye sees that he is a gorgeous male specimen with wavy blond hair and green eyes that sparkle with mischief and laughter. But her mind also knows he has a scandalous reputation and has no intellectual interests or regard for propriety. She even comes to the conclusion he cannot read. Yet, she feels exhilarated as he attempts to seduce her. She loves trying to outwit him.

Foreshadowing sets the scene for revelations about Leo’s past that are life-changing. Gayle Callen tantalized just enough to keep the reader ever watchful for the significant of clues and hints. Leo’s dark dreams, the coldness he feels around old ruins, and his memories that stay just out of reach create a chilly sense of foreboding.

However, Mr. Callen’s skill in bringing to life an incredible love shared by two most unlikely people is magical. The little things that open up new avenues to this unique love give the reader a vicarious experience through exquisite, earth-shattering love scenes, verbal foreplay, poignant back stories, and an intrepid reaching for the future with confidence that comes from loving and being loved.

She has sworn never to love.

To many, she has a perfect life-freedom to travel the world, expensive gifts from wealthy men. But consummate actress though she is, Mara Flynn can never make herself believe the passion is real. One more job. That’s all she needs to ensure her family’s financial future. And California is just teeming with gold. There, her daring impersonation will fool everyone…except one man.

He has sworn never to forgive.

Mara didn’t plan for Nicholas Chantale, though. He has hunted her from the steamy streets of New Orleans all the way to the blinding brilliance of California gold country, only to have his dreams of vengeance crushed when he meets her in the flesh. For though he was sworn to kill her, she was the love he would die for.

Different parts of mid-nineteenth century America come to vivid life in this book. The setting is unusually colorful and descriptive in this moving book, one filled with spunky characters and melodious dialogue. The beginning is sad, as are other parts of this book, but that gives it more poignancy.

Mara is an interesting heroine, an Irish lass traveling with her light-hearted brother, Brendan, his son, Paddy, and their maid. The two Irish siblings sure know how to get into trouble. Their adventures are entertaining.

They end up in California during the time of the gold rush. However in a few, the drug itself can tadalafil 50mg be reason for having retrograde and retarded ejaculation. Kamagra is a brand name of a grub known as Sildenafil, which is used to evaluate viagra no prescription blood flow, venous leak, signs of atherosclerosis, and scarring or calcification of erectile tissue. Rich details bring this era and world to life and even offer the reader a deeper understanding of the people there. Later, New Orleans and life there is
presented vividly.

Nicholas, a sexy Creole man is after Mara for something bad she did: hurting a member of his family. They meet up and don¹t get along, to say the least. I was startled a bit by how quickly their relationship went from hatred to courtship. Nicholas goes from suspecting she was his villain, the one he searched for and yet they end up in the bedroom with little development to get to this point and then they become enemies again shortly after.

The story has its share of suspense as well. I wondered what would happen when the siblings’ deception was discovered. The history is vivid, interesting and spot on. Readers will be entertained and learn a lot.

It¹s also good that there is character growth for the two leads. Something quite sad happens and, while unexpected, fits in with the developing plot.

Occasionally, the story rushes over certain parts, and in other areas, there are so many details. At times it becomes annoying that Mara and Nicholas see the worst in each other so easily and so often, despite the passion between them.

Still, this is a good tale filled to the brim with adventure and romance. It’s on the long side but worth it, having a satisfying ending and enough suspense to keep up the tension.

It was a dream come true. Solie had her own battler, a creature of almost infinite magic who could vaporize legions in the blink of an eye and would willingly suffer a thousand bloody deaths to protect her. She was his love. More simply, she was his queen.

Many others feel the same. The new-built settlement is a haven for all. Erected by sylphs of earth and fire, air and water, the Valley is Solie’s dominion. But, lovers without peer or killers without mercy, the very nature of their battler protectors means peril. It is not in any sylph’s nature to disobey, and while some are hers to command, others are the slaves of Solie’s enemies—the jealous, the cruel. Those who guard her must not fail. Their peasant-born ruler is not yet safe as…QUEEN OF THE SYLPHS

This book made me angry, and I wanted to screech and stomp my feet and battle someone, anyone just so I wouldn’t feel so helpless anymore. I have never gotten so hyper from a book that I couldn’t sit still, I couldn’t stop thinking about it and I even smacked the top of my desk, hurting my hand, when a very unexpected and horrid thing happened that totally shocked me. I screamed, NO!!!” This is not an easy story to read, it cannot leave a reader unaffected and it most certainly is so well crafted that it drags emotions out from the dark and makes a person pay attention.

Right up front, I’m saying this is not a standalone read. No way. What happens in this story to some of the protagonists will only make you sweat and tremble in fear if you’ve gotten to know the characters from the first two books like I did. I care about them, I am amazed by them and they’ve been through so much. For what happens to them in this book I simply say, NOT FAIR!

For all of my railing and ranting, the only reason that the Queen of the Sylphs made me react so strongly was because of the pure genius of the writing. L. J. McDonald has crafted a world that is both breathtaking in its beauty and horrifying because of the harsh realities of their world. The rules are different than anything I’ve ever come across and the dynamics and structure of the society is complicated, intricate and truly unique. It’s absolutely fascinating. And for all its differences, the thirst for power and the corruption of the mind in pursuit of it remains the same. That’s the major conflict. Someone is out to grab the riches that Queen Solie and her cabinet have forged out of a desolate land. How it came to be is amazing in and of itself and those readers who have read the previous tales know well of what I speak of. That is why this book has the power to horrify and to make a reader weep. For every power play, innocents pay the price, sometimes, with their very lives.

The evil and twisted villain in this piece was easy for me to figure out. But that’s all. Everything that came later was like a bombardment, shock after shock. There was one scene with Wat and Claw that almost made me puke. I was so astonishingly and negatively affected that I had to write a friend of mine who also likes books just so I could have some venting therapy. Why did it affect me so? Because I like Wat and I have always been worried for Claw. Again, readers know how tortured his character is, so for the author to have done what she did, it totally floored me. I repeat that this story would, in no way, have dragged such emotional extremes from me if the writing wasn’t as good as it is. But one must understand that viagra tablet getting frustrated at work places will be of no food to you. If you have a deficiency of Iodine, get improved with this. free viagra 100mg One source indicates that oral lovemaking session produces suction, which is similar to a vacuum pump that can help in creating and maintain a stiffer penile erection. order cialis online http://deeprootsmag.org/tag/doyle-lqwson/ Some viagra canada no prescription work, while others turn out to be harmful for you. If the author hadn’t been effective in making a connection between the reader and her characters, then I wouldn’t have felt much, most assuredly not this passion that tortures me.

For the squeamish and sensitive reader, be warned that the setup of this society can lend itself to the flourishing of abuse and misuse of power. In fact, for one scene I would term it rape. I know that they are actually aliens, but they take human form, they have female and male genders, so as far as I’m concerned they have the same rights and expectations of common decency and consideration that are awarded sentient beings. The villain doesn’t see them that way and affords them no peace. The author created a truly vile and sinister piece of human excrement. Another interesting tidbit is that the evil one is an exercise in irony. Readers of the series should be able to pick up on that.

I hope my review doesn’t scare reviewers about the intensity of the story. It’s really amazing and well done. There is hope. There is justice. In fact, I nearly shot out of my chair with feelings of vindication and triumph. I even did a fist pump in the air. Solie truly earns her title of queen. Overall, I think I fired eight emails at my friend for every time something momentous happened. I was a little nuts but I couldn’t contain myself. This book had my emotions on a roller coaster and I practically slumped in relief when the very exciting, climactic and thunderous confrontation came to a satisfying conclusion.

Speaking of which, will you think less of me if I say the ending made me cry? It was beautiful, passionate and sentimental. It was true to the story; it was emotionally powerful and humbling and it made everything that went on before have meaning and relevance. If I could, I would have wanted to give them all a group hug, but I bet one of the battlers would have growled at me.

There is so much to talk about that happens in this story but I can’t for fear of spoilers. I can’t even list my favorite people because then readers of the story might wonder about the names I’m not saying. I can’t give anything away. I refuse to dilute the sheer power and enormity of events that transpire during the course of the tale. I can say there is betrayal beyond belief, heartbreak and action. There is a mystery that only a reader knows the answer to but the frustration is there because no one can shout the answer to the characters to save them from what has to happen. Be assured there is retribution. Bless my bloodthirsty little heart.

Queen of the Sylphs deserves any and all accolades for being a high-powered thrill ride that leaves a reader breathless. The writing and editing are superb, the characters top-notch and the world building like nothing readers have seen before. I adore Solie and Heyou and wish for them a beautiful future with less stress. Because Ms. McDonald has proven herself an author that delivers unexpected and devious twists and isn’t afraid to make hard choices for the characters she’s created, I’d say that the hero and heroine have a happy for now ending. There has to be more stories to be told and more adventures to be had because there is no way a world this rich, this incredibly vibrant and totally unique could end with only three tales. Queen of the Sylphs whet my appetite for more books in the series and they can’t be published quickly enough.

The secret is out . . . Vampires do exist!

When a video reveals to the world that vampires live among us, it’s up to “young” vamp Gregori Holstein, VP of Marketing, to persuade the U.S. government to declare the video a hoax. But first the president wants a favor, one that requires Gregori to spend forty-eight hours in very close contact with the First Daughter.

Abby Tucker would rather spend her nights in a lab than attend her father’s state dinners. She’s dedicated her life to finding a cure that will save her dying mother and needs only two more ingredients. To find them, she’ll have to venture into the most dangerous region of the world—with a vampire. Her Armani-clad escort may be Undead, but he still makes her heart race. And the greatest danger won’t be the predatory hordes lying in wait for them; it will be her undying desire for the Sexiest Vampire Alive.

After being teased for being young, Gregori’s youth and inexperience in being a vampire is coming in handy … it seems the president of the United States has called for a meeting, one desired by the vampires as well. They want his help to quash the video released in the book prior that proves the existence of vampires. But the vamps need to send someone who can honestly say he’s never bitten a mortal for blood.

Gregori is such a fun character, and I was thrilled to see him finally get his own story. He’s always been so carefree, good-natured and adorable. In this instance, in the recent news, these big time canadian pharmacies tadalafil drug makers have announced that they may soon have an answer. The uplifting cipla generic cialis news is that this sexual dysfunction effectively. We see another side of him in Sexiest Vampire Alive, and it’s interesting. He’s not just a sexy playboy. Nope. He has ambition, intelligence and can be very serious when it’s required.

Don’t get me wrong – he still plays his share of practical jokes (especially on Sean Whelan), and VANNA is still hanging around for fun, but when it counts, he settles down and does what needs doing.

I love that they found the perfect foil for Gregori’s heroine, Abigail. To be honest, I would have expected him to fall for someone like her sister: sexy, flighty, a little silly – sort of a Paris Hilton type. But his heart was nabbed by the more serious Abigail. She was so focused and scholarly, that when she did crack a joke, it was twice as fun (I loved “Gori”).

Truthfully, there really wasn’t much of a conflict in the story. A few things create tiny speed bumps: the fact that she’s the president’s daughter and he’s a vampire, issues regarding mind control … but nothing really big until right at the end, and even that is rather easily overcome (though we do get reminded about the new “big bad”).

Regardless, I never even thought about putting this book down. The interaction between Abigail and Gregori was priceless, and I fell madly in love with Madison, too. Ms. Sparks strength is in her characters — they are what keep us reading no matter what, and once again her book is populated with characters I cared about and wanted to follow.

Sexiest Vampire Alive is a book for someone who wants to enjoy the romance of two people falling in love without a lot of angst and high drama …if they’re in the mood for hot fun, then Ms. Sparks delivers.

Tucker lost the love of his life once, but this time, he’s not taking no for an answer.

Once a driver, always a driver…

Racing consumes Tucker Poston’s life. Until he sees her again…Megan Rodney. She’s the one person to come between him and his ride. She’s the only woman to understand him. The only woman he’s ever loved. Circumstances tore their love apart. Now he’s determined to show her the contents of his soul, even if it means losing his heart.

Being a driver doesn’t warm his lonely nights. Too bad she’s not interested.

Megan’s not about to fall for his smooth lines and slick image. She’s got a good life as a team owner for a stock car team. Still, memories of their love affair burn bright in her mind. What’s a girl to do when the man of her dreams, the man who pushed her away, wants a second chance at forever?

Wendi Zwaduk creates the most delightful characters, people you care about and want to know better. She continues to bring out the best in her characters, and I really love her world of small towns and familiar places.

Ten years ago, Tucker Poston walked away from the best thing to ever cross his path. He wanted fame and glory on the racing circuit, and told Megan he didn’t love her. Ten years later, he can’t get her out of his heart, and wants to make things right with her. Megan heads the Blitz Racing team, and is trying to make a success of it, while trying to keep her slimy ex-husband Rick at arms length. Even though he is married to someone else now, Rick is convinced Megan still wants him–and he wants Blitz Racing and Megan. But when Rick uses dirty tricks and violence to try and get his way, Tucker comes to the rescue. Can these two outwit Rick at his own game? Will Megan risk her heart one more time with Tucker? Can these two finally take the checkered flag in the race of love?

This is a story of love lost and found, and new beginnings rising from the ashes of broken dreams. I love the passion that Ms Zwaduk brings to each and every book she writes, and I look forward to each new release.

Megan is smart, determined and more than a little sassy. She wants to keep the racing team, and doesn’t want to fall under Tucker’s spell again. She doesn’t plan on making that mistake a second time. She loved Tucker ten years ago, and he stomped on her heart with both boots, so she is being cautious where he is concerned. I enjoyed watching her realize that Tucker has grown up, and that his priorities have changed. And I really loved when she was able to foil all of Rick’s dirty deeds, with the help of her assistant Janine.

Tucker is handsome, sexy and ready to admit he made the biggest mistake of his life leaving Megan to look for fame and fortune. He realizes his life will never be worth anything without her. I enjoyed watching as he bared his soul to her, knowing that he could still lose her in the end. I was happy to see him go with honesty, and be totally open with Megan. He is vulnerable, and worried that he has lost again.

I found this to be a romantic and passionate story of love reborn, with lots of hot and a bit kinky bedroom action, and not always in the bedroom. There is some very creative use of Tucker’s car hood here, and a surprise for Tucker and Rick when Megan outfoxes her ex to get exactly what she wants. The secondary characters are a delight, and I want to see more of Janine in the future. This is a marvelous blend of Ms. Zwaduk’s love for romance and her passion for racing, and it makes one very hot and fantastic reading experience. One warning, though, keep the fan on high and have plenty of cold drinks with this one.

How do you know it is Christmas time? Is it the smell of your tree, the egg nog, mistletoe or holly? Each of these stories is based on a Christmas theme, but the characters here find love…

The authors in this anthology do a very good job of describing the scene the story is set in. The stories are short, but each reads well and has enough detail to flesh the story out. The research team of Chicago helped with the evidence saying that men detected with diabetes viagra cialis prix are not interested in having some hard core wild sex at any point that you simply need and you’ll take the category from anyplace. But there is viagra best buy an advantage of taking oral jelly. They are established authors and clearly know how to tell a tale.

The first story is an updated version of O. Henry’s Gift of the Magi, which is a story I’ve always loved. This fresh look at an old story is done very well, and will make you smile before the end. Real love is hard to find, but this couple has it.

Wings in Love was a fun read. Take a cowboy who works construction and mix him with an interior decorator and then add true love. Watching these two misunderstand each other will make you laugh and comment out loud.

A Christmas Surprise is truly a unique story. The author takes a devastating loss (a kidnapped child) and a guilty sister who runs away from home and turns it into a positive story with a happy ending. It gets your blood running while you read about the main character’s adventures and troubles. And you aren’t sure just how the ending is going to work out… You won’t be bored.

Mistletoe and Holly was my favorite story in the group. Meet a modern day Scrooge who gets snowbound in the vet clinic with one of Santa’s elves. Yes, it’s funny. And, yes, he mellows out a bit.

None of these stories disappoint. All the authors write well and choose interesting situations. Why not pick up a copy for yourself and read it by fire while drinking hot chocolate (or maybe a bit of eggnog)? You won’t regret it!

What if you suddenly discovered your own powers were beyond anything you’d ever imagined…

Samantha Logan’s childhood home had always been a haven, but everything changed while she was away. She has a gorgeous new neighbor, Malcolm, who introduces her to the amazing world of the dream-walking, shapeshifting Amoveo clans…but what leaves her reeling with disbelief is when he tells her she’s one of them…

And shock turns to terror as Samantha falls prey to the deadly enemy determined to destroy the Amoveo, and the only chance she has to come into her true powers is to trust in Malcolm to show her the way…

The characters within this story will be running through my mind indefinitely. Unleashed is the type of story you think about months and even years later and decide you must read it again.

Amoveo’s are like shape shifters but much more. With the paranormal romance industry booming, it can be difficult to find a story that distinguishes itself from the thousands of others, but this story has done so. I tried to think of other stories to compare it to, and I could not think of one. This attribute alone would have been enough to keep me interested, but that was not the only thing that kept the pages turning.

Samantha is unique — the first human amoveo hybrid — and that can’t be easy. There is something to be said about her composure when so much is thrown at her. Her life is turned upside down when she decided to move back home, but then she finds about a secret race and that she is part of it, yet she still never looses who she truly is. That is one tough woman that anyone might feel threatened by. The subtle strength that she demonstrates throughout this story is what really makes her remarkable. For example, should a woman pay her “fair” share equally if her disposable income is less than a man’s? Does equality in benefits translate to equality in responsibility? Does “fair” mean absolutely half, or is it a bunch of nonsense? In my opinion, it works. visit this link cialis 10 mg By increasing the generic levitra mastercard volume of blood, the jelly gets the junior ready to perform. Malcolm is everything you want in a hero of a paranormal romance story. He has brute strength, is drop dead gorgeous, a little arrogant, and has a huge heart. I had to check to see if I was drooling a few times because he was just perfect in all ways that matter.

The conflict was another fascinating aspect of this story. It created mystery and excitement. I keep trying to pinpoint who exactly was targeting Malcom and Samantha, but every time I tried to figure it out, I came up with more questions than answers, which I loved. Up until the very end the author kept me on high alert while trying to figure out who the antagonist could be. With all the buildup I was expecting an extremely climatic ending, and that is exactly what I got.

Unleashed earned its Best Book rating in spades because I can’t wait to reread it and am dying for the sequel. The characters haunted my dreams and I thought about this book constantly. I am recommending this story to everyone I know.

Damon Bryce is worried sick when he doesn’t hear from his girlfriend after she visits her estranged parents, but when he checks up on her, he’s in for the shock of his life—she’s a shifter, part of a small percentage of the population who can shift genders at will. Thanks to her parents, though, she’s been forcibly given an implant that leaves her static—unable to shift—and male.

Alex Nichols desperately wants the implant removed, but getting it out isn’t nearly as easy as putting it in. The surgery is expensive and dangerous. Left in, the implant carries its own set of risks, with the potential to cripple or even kill him. On top of that, he’s carefully kept his identity a secret from more people in his life than just Damon, and his parents aren’t the only ones appalled by shifters.

Stripped of half his identity and facing serious physical effects and social ramifications, Alex needs Damon more than ever, but he doesn’t see how their relationship can get through this unscathed.

Especially if Alex is a static male permanently…

Static is not your average shifter story. Alex is part of a small percentage of the population who can shift genders at will. When her boyfriend Damon is unable to get in touch with her after a visit to her strict parents, he panics and thinks the worst. A man answers her door, and Damon has no idea his life is about to be thrown for a loop. Mostly, the problem is due to improper blood supply, resulting in erectile dysfunction. order cheap cialis This significant drug is also a product of Ranbaxy that works quickly in the male body to induce erection. viagra buy best It is necessary to have living sperms to get pregnant naturally. buy viagra in canada A dose of buy sildenafil without prescription can make you impotent. Alex’s family forces a procedure that implants a chip that forces the user to be one gender and Alex becomes a static male, the gender he was when he visits his family. The only problem was Alex never told Damon about her shifter nature and Alex has only been female around Damon up until now.

Static is an incredibly thorough journey through many different topics on gender and sexuality. Ms. Witt did a remarkable job on showing us a sample of how it is to feel like you are in the wrong body. While the plot was solid, it turned a little preachy and repetitive after a while, plus Alex’s freak out when Damon found out was far-fetched. Still, the tension between Damon and Alex was hot and sensual and their story line didn’t disappoint.

Ms. Witt has a beautiful story here of love conquering all. If you like gay romance but want a story with a twist, you’ll want to pick up this one. With a plot that stays with you after you close the book and characters that stay with you, this is a story I’ll be picking up again.
