When Keenan’s lover, Naro, reveals the deep, dark secret of his past, Keenan must decide how strong their love really is. But Keenan has a secret of his own — one that’s right up Naro’s alley.

Embrace thy self.

Do I really mean that? Put your arms around yourself and hug? Or do I mean embrace who you are inside and out? And what does it have to do with a book by D.C. Juris?

Plenty.

I know when I grab a book by D.C. Juris the story will be anything but predictable and stale. I know I’m in for a good time, with sexy characters and unique plot twists and turns. This book is no exception. I have to admit, the cover, then the blurb drew me in. The writing flows and I certainly didn’t want the tale to end. There are things about both Keenan and Naro that might not be for the casual reader, but I couldn’t get enough. Neither man was exactly how I’d pegged them, but I completely felt for each. Naro’s situation isn’t something a lot of people have been through, but the way Juris writes it, I could completely relate. I felt the confusion, the need, and the excitement as if they were my own.

This book drew me in and held tight till the last page.

If you’re looking for a short, sexy read that’s fresh and unique, this is the book for you.

Katherine’s disturbing dreams of a strange girl have been haunting her for weeks. Waking up restless in the middle of the night, she looks at her e-mails and reads a concerned message from John, her ex-husband. Add to this a dangerous new contact from an online dating agency, an attempt to rekindle an old love affair and some shocking news regarding her mother and Katherine’s downward spiral into mental confusion is inevitable. Will she survive to come out the other side of her personal rollercoaster ride?

An eerie, dreamy aura sets the stage for Lisa M Cronkhite’s Dreaming a Reality.

Told in the first person, this powerful contemporary story has a distinct sense of immediacy. Everything happens in the now and, from moment to moment, we remain on pins and needles about exactly what will be next.

Katherine’s life seems to be spiraling toward something. She has dreams that seem to warn of some approaching danger…if not to her, to someone, but it’s hard to tell. Kat’s family life is becoming unstable. We even doubt her own mind, and her interpretation of what is happening. However, her ability to handle everyday problems (like her teen son, or her pushy boss) convince us that she’s a capable, bright person.

However, some details of her life, from an online relationship to the uncomfortable work relationship are unsettling and, from the start, we wonder at how she copes with all she does. People suffering from this condition are often subject to ridicule and prone to being embarrassed in a number of situations. check my page now sildenafil pills The individual experiencing mental clutters viagra online online might neglect to satisfy her on the bed. And, perhaps, why she copes with it as she does.

There is also a delicate sense of melancholy at the start. Some of it is caused by Kat’s introspection. The reflection on the past works so very well for many parts of this story: engaging, evocative, and enlightening. However, Cronkhite uses the same sort of voice to tell us boring details or round out characters; for example, the boss hitting on the main character comes out in the dialogue, so she doesn’t have to waste sentences telling us about it. This “telling” does weigh down an otherwise riveting tale.

The eerie sense of what is coming is present throughout, even as we see Kat pursue what we hope will be a romance, and as she starts to untangle the threads of confusion in her own mind.

Cronkhite’s powerful style and unique vision of a plot has given us a strangely hard-hitting and highly unpredictable tale that threatens a blend of genres- from paranormal and mystery to horror. It’s well done though, and mostly riveting. If you are in the mood for something that will grab you, do read.

Austin McGill has one goal: to satisfy the conditions of his estranged father’s will. After living on Starfire Ranch for three months, he’ll sell the property and leave East Tennessee and its heartbreaking memories…forever. At least, that’s his plan until Samantha Lakin comes along.

Samantha Lakin has one goal: to save Starfire and its summer camp for special-needs kids like her foster daughter, Jenny. To succeed, Sam will have to soften Austin’s stone-cold heart. Not an easy task, especially when she realizes the ranch isn’t the only thing that needs saving.

Can Sam’s devotion and the love of a little girl teach Austin to let go of the past and to trust God for the future…before the ranch and any chance at a happily-ever-after are lost?

Starfire Ranch is a different place than the one Austin McGill remembers. Dragged from his home and his drunken father at the age of fourteen, his visits since were few and far between. Now his father is dead but if Austin wants to inherit he has to obey a clause in the will which requires him to live on the ranch for three months. After this he can do what he likes with the it and what he wants is to sell the place to finance his foundering city business.

Sam lives in the guest house on the property. The John McGill she knew is not the same one as Austin remembers. Over the years she helped John develop the property into a summer riding camp for the disabled. During this process she started adoption proceedings for her autistic foster daughter Jenny. Austin’s plans for the ranch could destroy her home, her happiness and lose her the one person she loves – Jenny.

A man from the city – a girl from the country. Could these two agree on the present, let alone the future? Austin seemed a little unbelievable. Would a man who has to “maintain the property to the present standards” sit back and watch a woman struggle to keep it going? If she fails so does he, as he will lose the ranch to a nature reserve.

Sam, on the other hand, reminded me of many women who survive on their own. Strong, unwilling to ask for help, capable of many tasks and a loving mother to her daughter. I don’t know much about autism, but Jenny sneaked into my heart. A lovely child who obviously adores her new mama.

Starfire is a beautiful sweet romance which I enjoyed reading. Short but complete and well written, it flows smoothly from beginning to end. Children, animals and love all blend together to make a very pleasant book.

Though I liked this story it didn’t have enough back story to help me understand the heroine’s motivation. The beginning leaves you wondering why Melissa went to his house at all instead of just standing Jack up. It was kind of excruciating waiting for her heart to melt towards him — and melt, it should! Jack seduced her and did an excellent job of it, seducing me at the same time. Jack was wonderful; he knew what he wanted and he went after it. He was very sensual and giving — every romance reader’s idea of a wonderful hero.

The story hit its stride in the middle, getting hot and sexy. After that, the story flowed smoother and the characters came alive. If you stick with it through the beginning, you’ll get your reward, because what it lacks in plot it makes up for in heat.

I recommend this read to those looking for a quick, steamy and stimulating read.

Justin longs to show his father he is loyal and trustworthy. Despite loving his brother, they are at loggerheads. His warnings to his brother go unheeded and this puts everyone in danger, including the townspeople.

Justin and Callista, with the healer and a colleague from the Elite Guard work together to destroy the shadowbeasts who appear to be unstoppable. Sometimes betrayed, sometimes helped, they are pulled apart and drawn together as the story unfolds. I became so involved with the story that at times I sat on the edge of my seat egging them on to do the right thing.

This book has something for everyone. Fighting and adventure, mystery and mayhem, magic and suspense. And of course romance. The romance is a natural part of the story, developing as it progresses. There are no hugs and kisses merely to fill in a few paragraphs. The romance appears so gracefully it weaves itself into the story and the hero and heroine became a couple almost before I realized it.

I believe this is the first of a series. Flame of Destiny is a complete, stand alone novel, but it had better be the first of many. I’m waiting eagerly for more.

It’s the Fourth of July weekend, and after a bad day at the office, Katrina’s life instantly takes a different twist when she arrives home to find her sexy new neighbor Todd half naked and washing his car.

As Todd’s interest peaks, Katrina has her own set of rules before he gets a chance to meet Miss Kitty. He has to earn a total of one hundred points in a day’s time, or no Miss Kitty.

Through a hysterically funny chain of events, Katrina realizes that Todd is just what she needed, someone who can break through the walls around her heart.

Her Fourth of July weekend turns out to be more than just fireworks for dear Miss Kitty!

Boy meets girl and seduction ensues.

I’m not a big fan of first person. I like both sides of the story. I have to say in this case, although I certainly wanted to see things from Todd’s point of view, it worked seeing things through Katrina’s eyes. Laci Leigh brings the normal and everyday life into the story. I liked that Katrina and Todd are like people I know. The problems aren’t astronomical and insurmountable, but it’s a slice of life kind of tale.

As much as I enjoyed the story, there were things that made it occasionally difficult. It’s short, which actually works for the tale. It’s a quick, sexy read for the lunch hour. That said, there were moments when the story dragged. I kept thinking, if you’re getting along so swimmingly, then go for it. Function of Penile Erectile and Nitric Oxide The penile is known as either flaccid or erect that sildenafil viagra generico all depends on the state of arousal. The fact that I was emotionally drawn in did help with the plot.

I can totally understand Katrina’s point of view in life. She’s been through some tougher times and has shut down to a degree. The way she sees things is easy for readers to relate to. We’ve all had things come up that make us think totally different ways about our lives. At the same time, she’s very closed and a little negative. I could understand it and yet, it took a little away from the story. And then there’s her rating system. Lots of women have a similar system, but sometimes it came across that she worried more about her bodily response than her emotional response.

Then there’s Todd. I really wanted to see more of him. Laci Leigh writes a yummy visual for the man challenging Katrina. The scene with the hose totally stayed with me. I loved the plot twists and the way the story worked itself out. Pleasantly surprising.

If you want a hot story that’s a sexy little nibble, then this is the book for you.

You can’t keep a good Secret for long.

Secret McQueen, Book 2

After cheating death twice in one night, confessing her true nature to her werewolf soul mates and being asked to kill one of her closest friends, Secret took a much-needed vacation. By running away.

Now she’s back in town—dragged kicking and screaming—determined to clear Holden Chancery’s name. Right after she finds out what he’s accused of. It shouldn’t be hard—Holden has a habit of using their new and scintillating psychic bond to break into her thoughts and dreams at some very, shall we say, awkward moments.

Just a few things stand in her way: a secretive Tribunal leader, a group of would-be vampire slayers and two werewolf boyfriends who refuse to let her operate in her customary lone-wolf style. Even less amusing are the terrifying creatures that someone is using in an attempt to gain control of the council. Even for this out-of-the-ordinary bounty hunter, it’s a challenge with potentially deadly teeth.

This is the second of Secret McQueen’s adventures, and it is packed with action, danger, betrayal and some very hot loving.

As ‘bounty hunter’ for the Vampire Tribunal, Secret McQueen knows her job is more executioner than anything else. But when her new assignment is to bring in her mentor, Holden Chancery, Secret runs. She hides out until the head of the Tribunal tracks her down and makes her realize that she needs to return, not just to find Holden, but to discover just why he is being charged with treason against the Vampires.

She also needs to deal with things between herself and her men, the two wolves who see her as their mate. As she searches, she realizes that Holden has been set up, and only she can clear his name and save his life. It can also be a result of certain medication cheapest levitra generic like diuretics, beta blockers, muscle relaxers and so on. Before you take tadalafil cheap viagra no prescription take detail information about the medicine along with its description. Pills of Kamagra need to take before 4-5 hours of making sex, but in case of oral jelly take this just before 20 minutes. get viagra online On the other hand, tadalafil online canada price is much less. And she needs to take her place in werewolf society, to strengthen her mates place as leader of the Eastern wolves. Can Secret uncover the real traitor and keep Holden safe? Can she keep herself alive, and fulfill her mates’ needs, all while trying to fight strange and terrible creatures determined to stop her?

I love Ms Dean’s world, and the fantastic characters that inhabit it. The world is a blend of reality and fantasy, with many identifying landmarks and the occasional strange being to throw you off the track. I was drawn into this from the first page, and couldn’t wait to see how Secret would solve all the puzzles.

The cast of characters here is much the same as the first book: Secret McQueen, her mentor Holden, her two wolf mates Lucas Rain and Desmond Alvarez, and of course the Tribunal: Sig, Daria and Juan Carlos. There are a few new villains, and one or two surprise twists to make this one edge-of-your-seat exciting.

I was sure I knew who the ‘bad guy’ was, and I was so wrong! Lucas’ sister Kellan was a terrific addition to the cast, and I hope we see more of her in the future. This story made me laugh, cry… and wonder who was behind the plot. I was especially surprised to see who had Secret’s back through this mad dash to save one vampire from an undeserved punishment.

There is a terrific “happy for now” ending, but with a twist that makes me want more. I recommend this for those who like to mix romance and mystery, and those who love surprises.

I love a good short story. You know, one where I’m pulled in quickly and want to know what’s going to happen next. This is one of those stories. It’s first person, which isn’t my favorite, but in the short form, it works. Lauren Hawkeye writes an interesting tale of heat, ice, and redemption.

I realize this book is first person and we only get Evie’s point of view. I liked that we’re in her head and I loved that it took a while to get to the meat of her feelings. It was like going on a journey with her. I even liked that the story was HFN. It leads to all sorts of possibilities for a sequel or three.

As much as I liked it, there were more than few things that niggled. I wanted to get into Lucas’ head. I mean, the guy seems like a hunk, but we just get his words. How exactly is he feeling as the act is taking place? I liked how it came out a bit, but I wanted so much more. I also wanted to know how she had sweat dripping from her nipples with a nightgown on. While it’s probably possible, the visual took me out of the story. And it surprised me that she was able to … hmm… act out her fantasy, despite cutting her foot and bleeding all over the floor.

Still, the story is one hotsy totsy. Man, I want a Lucas of my own. The scene on the countertop nearly melted my reader screen.

If you want a story that’s seriously hot and packs a punch, then you need to read Take Me Down.
