Reading this short story was an enjoyable way to spend my afternoon. The author adds just enough spice and snappy dialogue to make it move very smoothly and quickly. The character of Michael Doogan is so genuine, just like the guy next door, it would be hard not to fall for him. From the very beginning, he is right there for Maggie, and that makes him a wonderful man you would want to have around! You can feel the emotion between them coming right off the pages, especially when he is being protective or in that moment when his Christmas spirit kicks in. Come join them in this new novella and see if he can make your heart go pitter patter a little more along with Maggie’s.

This is a spicy little read that definitely fills that need if you are wanting a quick romantic fix.

I would highly recommend this short story to anyone looking for a contemporary read with a little kick to it.

Ranch owner Nate Campbell loves them both. He hates to see Jackson’s loyalties so divided, and doesn’t want Sarah hurt either. How can they fix the tangled mess they find themselves in? Nate suggests a possible solution—a permanent threesome.

With the open frontier closing in around them, is Nate’s solution their path to happiness—or will others destroy what they’ve found together?

After wielding a shovel and jamming her knee into a part of Nate Campbell’s “anatomy that no knee had a right being anywhere near”; and then being caught in the barn that night with Nate and a naked Jackson Kellar, Sarah soon finds herself standing in front of a preacher saying wedding vows.

Even though the out come was predictable (this IS romance after all), the plot had enough twists and turns to keep me entertained. I like the personalities of the three main characters, and thought that Ms. Braemel did a beautiful job in making them come to life within the story line.

Even though the plot was not full of tension and mystery it had some pretty hot sex scenes full of love and tenderness which made up for the lack of nail biting anxiety. I would recommend Tangled Past to all my friends who enjoy the sweeter side of erotic romance. Definitely a story that will remain in my library to be read again.

Maddy is the oldest witchling to ever attend the Hidden Cove Academy, having been cursed as a teen; she’s forced to have a solitary life outside her own magical community. With her magic so dangerously unpredictable, she rarely takes the chance on mixing with the general public.
From one harmless trip to a museum she finds herself spellbound yet again by an invisible boundary, caused by a three hundred year old curse, dictating that Maddy must stay close to the stunningly sexy Colin.
Being stuck with a tall, dark, incredibly lick-able stranger can’t be all that bad, right? Until they discover if they get too close the spirits bound with the curse will take over their bodies … at the same time if they’re too far from one another the curse will kill them both.
Will the curse’s secrets be unraveled in time or does certain death await them both?

When people say they’re cursed, it’s usually just for dramatic effect. Not for Maddy, though. For her it’s the real deal. This curse keeps her from getting close to anyone…and she confines herself to a solitary life. Though one day she sets outside that zone, and lands smack-dab in the middle of trouble.

That trouble is named Colin, and for some reason, they can’t be apart from each other. And no, I don’t mean because they are so physically attracted to one another that they just can’t keep their hands off each other. Of course, that does happen later, but that’s not the initial start of this story line. No, that’s the wonderful little curse mentioned earlier. Men even find erectile dysfunction supplements to be quite helpful in supporting the low cost viagra treatment. Shame and embarrassment made sexual dysfunction a cute-n-tiny.com buy cheap tadalafil taboo subject in polite company for a long time then, it requires serious medical attention. Here’s the catch 22: they can’t be too far apart from one another, but Maddy and Colin can’t be too close, either. Oh yeah! No kidding. Bet they’re wishing the folks who created this curse would make up their minds!

I didn’t get much of a glimpse of Colin’s past. His character could have been a little more dynamic, and I would have loved to know more about his history. Regardless, he is sweet and the image of him that comes to mind is great too. Maddie was fun to read about, and the premise was unique.

The plot had me intrigued and kept me turning pages, but it just didn’t fully reach its potential. I pictured more action than there was, and I’m not talking physical action between Maddy and Colin. There was just the right amount of that, and it was interesting to see how the dreaded curse would come into play in the physical scenes.

Filled with plenty of wit and charm, the book kept me reading and I did enjoy it. It seems stories with witches are really starting to come out into the lime light in the paranormal genre, and it’s always fun reading fresh new takes on it.

If you enjoy light paranormal romance, with a dash of comedy and characters who are enjoyable, then pick yourself up a copy of Twice Cursed.

After watching all his warriors find their mates, Ra wants nothing more than to find his own. How hard can it be? He’s an Egyptian god, for crying out loud. Women should fall at his feet—and into his bed. When he discovers his destiny, he’s flabbergasted that she doesn’t accept him at the word go. He must wrap his head, and arms, around this mortal woman. Fast.

Shanda doesn’t want a man right now. No way, no how. But when the sexy stranger shows up at her museum, her sex-starved body doesn’t care. It wants him…posthaste. She might have a chance in hell of resisting him, if he’d only stop kissing her.

With the pressure of having to tell Shanda what he truly is, Ra bumbles the job left and right. Very un-godlike. And when she does everything she can to stay out of his bed and his life, Ra must win her over the only way he knows how. With seduction.

What does a god do after he has won the battle to keep mortals safe and seen all of his warriors find their mates? Go in search of a mate of his own. Ra has done more than keep mortals safe and now that everyone else he cares about has found love he has discovered that he longs for it as well. I enjoyed Ra from the previous books in this series but he really endeared himself to me in this book. We get to see more of his personality and what makes him unique. I loved seeing him try to win over Shanda only to be knocked down a peg or two. His reaction to her dismissal had me laughing out loud and had Shanda winning me over right than and there. She is going through her own problems and when Ra enters the picture he just adds to them. Even though Shanda has problems she is still standing on her own and trying to fix them, showing what a strong person that she is. The sparks are there from the start between these two and seeing the bond form between them was a great read.

There may not be as much of the intensity that was in the warrior’s books because Ra does not have to deal with the demons and such but this book is full of emotion. The depth of Ra as a person was a wonderful read.

This story was a nice ending to the series. After seeing all the Chosen get their mates it was nice to see Ra get his happy ever after. Although we get to see a few important characters from the series in this book it would have been nice to see all of the warriors and their mates reaction to Ra finding his mate. I loved watching Takan and Falon help Ra with his mate. They truly want to see Ra find happiness. I am happy and sad to have finished this book as well as the series of Ra’s Chosen. I loved every single book and found Ra’s Hunger to be a wonderful and sweet ending to the series.

Isolation has become Adelaide Warren’s solace. She lives far from civilization, up in the hills of West Virginia, after the end of the Civil War and the death of her husband. When Josiah Hamilton finds his way to her doorstep, nearly frozen to death one stormy winter night, she nurses him back to life.

They form a fast friendship, which soon becomes more. When Josiah professes his love for her, she refutes him. But when tragedy strikes, it’s Josiah who comes to her rescue. Now, Adelaide is forced to confront her love for him which she has both denied and hidden.

A proposal is made. Will she accept him? If she does, what does that mean for her future?

Adelaide’s War is a charming story packed with emotion and plenty of incidents that has the reader vying for both Adelaide and Josiah. The author’s tone captures the era beautifully, and her artistry in revealing the background of her characters is masterly.

However, frequent odd word and phrase choices pulled me out of an otherwise fluent read. I saw ‘hypothermic’ and wondered if its use was anachronistic. I made a note and carried on reading until the phrase ‘in a jiffy’ had me scrambling to an etymology of phrases website. The first did not come into use until after the time sequence of Adelaide’s War, but surprisingly — and I had to laugh at myself here — ‘in a jiffy’ is fine and was in use at that time! Imagine that! Even so my overall enjoyment of this otherwise good book was affected by these choices and a few other editing issues, like repetitive use of the same words.

Regardless, it is not easy to take a complex theme and create such a charming story in so few words, but Viviane Kees has achieved exactly that. Her characters are fully developed and draw the reader in. They are what kept me invested enough to keep reading. Both Adelaide and Josiah are flawed and yet learn to grow through adversity. Both tugged on this reader’s heart strings and you assume they will find their way together, but then the author throws in some surprises that had me seriously wondering about the outcome.

The final conflict they both have to face is deftly introduced, and a shocker. The author’s secondary characters play their full part in vividly displaying and revealing the causes of why both her hero and heroine are where they are at in the beginning of the story. They also play important roles in moving the story on. Ms. Kees use of her secondary characters is masterful because it is all done within a confined word count.

This is a fully developed and charming story that can be enjoyed in one sitting.

With Sidney working long hours, Nash doesn’t feel the need to expose his relationship to guys who wouldn’t understand. The dual-life leads to misunderstandings and hurt feelings, forcing Nash to make a life changing decisions.

With Nash battling to find a purpose away from the ranch he loved, Sidney’s busy enduring long hours in an office he hates. With his prize-winning building completed, Sidney’s creativity is put to use designing buildings that don’t inspire him. When an opportunity to design the building of his dreams presents itself, Sidney’s loyalties are put to the ultimate test. Will he reach for his dream and uproot Nash from a life he’s finally settling into, or will he sacrifice his personal goals for the good of the man he loves?

It’s easy to fall in love, not so easy to make love work under the constant pressures of real, daily life. Summer picks up the lives of Sidney and Nash when they are trying to fit into their lives in Chicago. Each is having their own trouble adjusting and also coping with being a gay man in society. Sidney has a particularly hard time dealing with anti-gay prejudice in his chosen profession.

He needs space of his own to decompress yet inwardly craves intimacy. Sidney can be difficult but he is so warm hearted and open in his way of dealing with life, he’s easy to sympathize with as a character.

The sex has complex emotional depth yet still has that aspect of uncertainty and a feeling of high stakes, just as one would expect of a relationship of this length. The sexual scenes are well tied into the overall conflict between the two heroes. There are some aspects of rough sex and this story might not be for the faint hearted. I like the more raw aspects of their love; it makes this seem believable as the story between two complex and willful men. It shows their struggle to negotiate often-differing needs in an ongoing, developing relationship. This is the side of love so often neglected in love stories and it is a very refreshing story because of it.

This is a not-to-be-missed series and I am eagerly awaiting the release of the next book.

Misinformation and guilt have made them both miserable for all these eight years while each grieved alone for their darling baby that died. The emotional stress and “what-ifs” have taken their toll on Lauren as she works in clandestine missions.

Both Lauren and Chad have been deliberately deceived by people who claim to care about them. Bit by piece the plot unfolds as Lauren and Chad slip back into the sexual activities they enjoyed back when they were married. These scenes are rather explicit, with bondage and sex toys, and not always “the usual”.

This short novel is the third book of a series. The reader will probably be more invested in the characters and empathize with them more if he or she has read the previous books so that the characters will be better known and seem more developed. One gets the feeling of having come in “after the movies has started” at times.

Deliberate Deceptions is a sure way to escape from the mundane for a while with its love scenes that make one wonder – REALLY? It gives the reader a satisfying happy-ever-after that Lauren and Chad so deserve after all the grief and manipulations they have endured.
