I like this world, my guilty pleasure is rock music, the heavier the better, and the bands that play it. I enjoy these peeks behind the scenes that Ms. Cunning provides, and the intrigue of wondering if she based a specific character on someone real in the business.

Jace Seymor is the strong silent type, with wounds that go deep in his soul. With a tortured past, he needs the release that pain brings him, and feels he needs to be punished. When he meets Aggie, she is the first woman who accepts his kinky side and doesn’t tell him he’s sick for it. As he grows closer to Aggie, he begins to learn more about himself, and slowly is able to see that there are people that really care about him. I like Jace for his sensitive and sweet side, and enjoyed watching as he was able to show it more as he and Aggie grew together.

Aggie Blake has never felt the need for a man in her life, at least until Jace Seymor came along. Something about his blond hair, innocent face and hot body draws out her desires and shatters the walls she keeps up against the world. I like Aggie for her honesty and her no-hold-barred attitude toward life. She is strong and independent, and watching her as she learns that, with the right person, submitting doesn’t mean weakness. She has never had a man like Jace, able to take it all and still respect her as an individual. I liked watching as Jace surprised her, over and over, warming the heart she didn’t know she still had.

This is one of the hottest of the Sinners on Tour books yet, with Aggie and Jace pushing each other’s limits until they both discover just how strong they can be together. These two are not perfect, but they are perfect for each other, and I enjoyed some of the scenes in Aggie’s dungeon as they explored each other’s boundaries. The action, and the sex, is definitely not for the squeamish, and if you aren’t sure about BDSM, this is not the book to read. I do recommend that these be read in a certain order, to get the proper sequence of events from the tour as Ms. Cunning has let it unfold instead of treating this as a standalone read. But be warned, this has one hot rocker with the face of an angel and the body of a sinner, and the woman who whipped him into love.

From the first page, I loved Beth in her old school muscle car as she took matters into her own hands and tried to take back her life. Most people who had lived through a nightmare of a Dom like she had would have given up. The fact that she strut her stilettos into another Dom’s sanctuary told me this girl had to be not only brave, but ballsy too. Next chapter in and I find out she has a vintage t-shirt collection that made me drool and I wanted to be her friend. By this point I was rooting for her.

Of course until hurricane Beth comes into his life and basically knocks him on his butt. I adored this couple from page one. The chemistry literally lights the page and they play off one another beautifully. There is one scene when they first meet that had me thinking HOLY SPACEBALLS when I thought it was going a certain direction. Needless to say I didn’t put the book down after that. The secondary characters were great leading me to look forward to the next book in the series. This is book two and I was able to pick this up without having read the first, even though I will be going back to read it. Sara Brookes did an awesome job with this book about love, healing, kinkery and geeks all rolled into one.

I enjoyed this peek behind the scenes, and what happens when things aren’t always perfect. Ms. Cunning shows the vulnerable side of her strong heroes, and the determination of their women to make things happen, and she does it with humor, spontaneity, an lots of hot and steamy sex in strange and not always private places.

Jessica Chase is smart, dedicated and determined to live her life her way. When she walked away from the man she loves, it broke her heart, but she was determined to make it on her own without letting her career take second place to a controlling man like Sed. Too bad her heart didn’t get the memo. I like Jessica, with her sassy attitude, and her decision to do just like the guys do and take what she wants; and what she wants is Sed, even if it is just his body she thinks she wants. It was a delight to watch as she took what he offered, and just tried to tell herself it was only sex. Watching her teach Sed a lesson was one of the hottest parts of this one, and made the outcome all the sweeter.

Sedric ‘Sed’ Lionheart, lead singer of the Sinners, rock god beyond compare, doesn’t understand Jessica’s point of view. He is strong, talented, and just wants to protect and provide for everyone he cares about. That includes Jessica, and he just doesn’t get what went wrong. When he gets a second chance to earn her love, he is determined to listen and make things work, and I enjoyed watching as Sed began to understand what went wrong, and how he could win the love of his woman. I like watching as he learns to bite his tongue and let Jessica take the lead at times, knowing it will make things better in the end.

The interaction between the band members is such fun to see, from Trey’s unrequited love for band mate Brian, to Eric’s craziness, and Jace and his mysterious silence. But this is definitely Sed and Jessica’s story, and even when tragedy strikes, and Sed could lose it all, there is a sense that these five men will pull together and find some way to move through it and support Sed in his dark time. The heat generated by Jessica and Sed can keep a city warm on the coldest night, and the imagination and unique locations for their passionate trysts is beyond hot. Do Sed and Jessica find their happy ever after? Read Rock Hard to discover for yourself. I do recommend that Backstage Pass be read first, to discover the world Ms Cunning has so skillfully crafted.

Partly because the author did a good job making her come across as the spoiled off spring of a rich man, which is exactly what she is. In a way you don’t want her to end up with the sexy Flynn but half way through the book you get the sense that these two are a match made in heaven.

The two things I loved most about this story were the locales that the authors described perfectly and I found myself feeling like I was really in London and Scotland. The second, the humor and sometimes witty dialogue, especially between Summer and Flynn.

This is the second book I’ve read by Evie Hunter and I think the author’s carved out her own niche of what I’d call erotic chick-lit. And if that’s your pleasure then I think this story and her previous one will be definite musts on your summer reading list.

Some of the back story and language used was confusing at times, but when I realized that it allowed me to understand Eliana and her position better, it made perfect sense. There were some very hot sex scenes, but there was also a lot of time where Eliana is learning to trust and allow herself to let go. I was very upset when Eliana and Kon had a falling out, and when they finally come back together I rejoiced. It’s an interesting relationship, it’s Kon and Dane, Kon and Eliana and the Eliana and Dane. They all love and relate to each other differently and yet love each other as a trio as well. Eliana lived a hard life so if reading about a character’s past abuse is a problem, I’d skip this one.

I recommend this book for fans of unique paranormal worlds with some serious sexiness thrown in.

The characters are well developed and the supporting characters, which include some of the characters from the first book, are also important to the story. This book can be read as a stand alone but it would be best if you read Street Safe first because it sets the stage for Safe Promises. That way you as the reader know all the characters in the story and how they interact with each other, and why Kyle wanted Zee’s sister dead.

Safe Promises will keep your interest from start to finish, this reader would recommend this story as one you could add to your summer reading list, and if you haven’t read Street Safe it should also be put on your list.

Not only do the main characters tell their story but the secondary characters have things to say as well. I loved Briony’s mother and brother. They both add a great deal to this story and can stand toe to toe with the pack. I enjoyed seeing how the family and the pack handle each other. I cannot wait to see what is in store for them and the pack.

I enjoyed meeting many of the Navy Seals that are his friends as well as seeing all of the past characters from the previous books. Seeing them all band together as the family that they truly are made for a wonderful read. Joey W. Hill knows how to weave a beautiful story and pull the reader into that world. Once I started this book I was so enraptured with it and hated to put it down for any reason and I hope that we get to visit this world again.
