London Satos is trying to reach her twin brother, Lincoln, via their twin bond because he had been kidnapped by hunters. Both she and her brother are rare white were-jaguars which makes them special. No matter how hard she tried, she was unable to reach him and is frantic for his safety but has no idea how to save him. When the hunters came for her, she managed to hide from them, but her cabin had been torn apart and she felt violated. As she could not stay in her cabin, she decided to head towards her work, the mortuary she owned.

Breeze Dawson belongs to a group called the Guardians which is run by a council that helps the supernatural Were-Shifters who are in trouble. In this case, they are rescuing a woman and her daughter who are being abused by her husband who is threatening. He knows the husband has all the help, while the two women will be destitute. Against his orders, he makes the husband transfer money to an account to support the two.

London is a very well-developed character who has been raised in a strict Japanese family. Their parents do not show any emotions as they are buried under decorum, she was also raised to respect her elders and that it was her job to take care of her brother. She is a woman of a lot of virtues, strength, a large heart, determination and bravery. London has a really cool gift as it seems like all the were-jaguars have their own special gifts. Hers is being able to help those that have passed away. She is able to see their final moments and that somehow makes it easier for the person’s soul to let go of their bodies and move on.

Breeze is a character with a lot of problems from his youth that affects him every single day. The only time he feels some peace is when he is with London. His parents died when he as young and he was placed with his uncle. Unfortunately, his uncle turned out to be abusive, which had him ending up in the hospital several times. I also enjoyed the fact that he also burglarizes the rich and give to the poor, just like Robin Hood. He is a man who does not like to follow the rules but he has a large amount of loneliness. The only thing that seems to keep the loneliness somewhat at bay was having a job, although he doesn’t really consider the team friends. He also has some trust issues. He has a lot of trouble sleeping as the nightmares keep coming of all the times he was injured or emotionally abused by his uncle.

The characters were well-developed with strong personalities and tragedies in their family. Breeze had to get over his abuse and London had to deal with emotionally cold parents.  The only thing I thought could have been drawn out a bit more is the attraction between Breeze and London. It’s a pet peeve of mine when someone falls in love at first sight. Of course, there is such a thing of as soul mates and maybe that’s what they were to each other.

This is a wonderful story full of some of my favorite elements: shifters, magic, and a great romance. Try it today.

Problem is, it’s the best friend he’s ever had.

What if building a new friend were as easy as performing a science experiment?

Monty was such a likeable guy. He was quirkier than most kids his age, but the hobbies and mannerisms that made him stand out from the crowd were also what made him so interesting. His unique approach to what someone should do for fun in their spare time showed off so many of the things that made him who he was as an individual.

Yes, some of Monty’s quirks lead to him being bullied because of how his classmates misunderstood him and he misunderstood them at times. I thought the scenes that showed him being mistreated by the other students at his school were realistic and well written. While this definitely isn’t true for every case of bullying, Monty did need to learn how to polish up a few of his social skills in this particular situation, and his classmates needed to learn how to be more accepting of people who march to the beat of their own drum. The author struck a nice balance between showing how both of those things can be true simultaneously while still having a lot of compassion for a kid who’s had to adjust to far too many new schools in his short lifetime.

This was one of those cases where a blurb fairly reveals the basic plot of a book while still leaving plenty of surprises for a reader to discover for themselves. I was intrigued by the little I knew when I started reading it, and I quickly realized that I enjoyed this tale twice as much as I originally thought I would. I obviously can’t go into specific details here, but I will say that this felt like something that underpromised an already attention-grabbing storyline only to over-deliver on exactly how much fun it was to read. It’s pretty marvellous when that happens!

The character development was handled beautifully. I especially appreciated seeing all of the ways in which Monty grew and changed as a person as a result of everything that happened to him during the course of this storyline. He matured so nicely while still remaining true to who he’d been all along.

Monty and the Monster is a must-read for anyone who has ever had to deal with bullying or experiments that don’t necessarily go the way they’re expected to.

This is a long book with plenty of action going on, both in and out of the sheets. I enjoyed hearing about all four main characters but Damon is the one who stole into my heart. Gotta love a nerdy Alpha! In no way was he weak but he got his pleasure in making sure Kara was looked after in every way.

I think the thing that did it for me was the constant addressing of the trust issue between all four of them. I got it the first time, maybe the second emphasized the problem, but after that, it became superfluous.

I thoroughly enjoyed this story and can’t wait for Liam & co’s story! I would recommend reading this series but it is not necessary to get the most out of this book, as it stands alone fine. Absolutely recommended by me.

Leah has one goal in life: to find a new planet for the humans ineligible to be Alphan mates. When the trading ship she purchased a berth on docks with a scout ship, her lack of ability to tell the difference between Alphans and Xyrans gets her into trouble.

Unwilling to leave the human with the vulnerable trade ship, Nalan immediately offers her a new place with them, knowing this chance to bond with a human woman might be their only one.

There is a number of treatments available for treating erectile dysfunction. female viagra sildenafil , levitra, and Kamagra: What are the Similarities? Most parents aren’t prepared for the hassles, cialis price worries and constant demands of parenting. As captain of the Zyzan, Gelar’s primary concern is making sure Xyran pirates can’t flank Alphan space, along with enjoying the year alone with his mate Nalan. To find a human this far out should have been impossible, and yet her ability to survive on the poisonous ship just to make a living intrigues them both. Humans aren’t allowed to leave Earth without an Alphan mate. Will her dreams doom the three of them?

This is a noticeably short story featuring Leah who is a young woman who has been in space looking for a place for humanity to live. Earth has become almost unlivable. There is a lot of poison in the air which is causing people to die daily from respiratory issues and cancer. The weather was also getting much worse with tornadoes becoming deadlier, a drought could last for years, and there were food shortages. She had lost her parents during a hurricane and wasn’t sure what she was going to do until she met the Vagnashians.

She has been on their ship for two years trading what supplies she had such as rugs, blankets, pottery, and silk sheets. She needs an environmental suit if she wants to go outside. Vagnashians enjoy an environment heavy with sulfur, and no matter how much she tries, she always has a small amount around her. She considers this an improvement on what could have happened as she had read that the Alpha and Xyran male species seemed to pass women around.

Her life completely changes when meets Nalan and his bond mate Gelar, both of whom are Alphas They came to trade crystals the other species use for their communication devices. They were both taken aback by her presence, as it was dangerous for a human female to be alone on the fringes of space. I love how Nalan got to her to decide to go on their ship.

As it turns out, what Leah read about the Alphan society was completely wrong. They do not keep slaves. They told her that they prefer their mates to come to them willingly, both men are taken with her and have a great imagination of what they would like to do with her. It was fun watching them learn just how sexual a human can be and how open minded. She would have not been able to choose between the two and that is why their relationship works.

There were a few things that I would have liked to see change.  I wish the story had been longer so the reader could get to know more about the Alphan society and their fight with the Xyran. It would also have been nice to find out exactly how the warriors bonded and what exactly is causing the female birth rate to be low. It is hinted at but not clearly explained. I also would have liked to get more of Leah’s background and watch her more slowly fall in love.

If you’re looking for a menage story, then this might be the one for you.

When Vaaden warriors claim slaves from Earth they will face emotions they never knew they possessed.

Vaaden Captives: Captured on Earth, Sorcha, Enid and Susan are slaves, bound to owners who crave them for the pleasure they can bring, the women despair of ever finding happiness again. But then the unthinkable happens. Sorcha falls for her owner’s brother; Enid, despite her fears, falls for the man who claims her; Susan finds herself drawn to two men, but in the end, only one will claim her heart.

Vaaden Warriors: When three Vaaden warriors claim slaves procured from Earth, they will face emotions they never knew they possessed. Rheul doesn’t believe in love, until he meets his new slave; Randar must choose between his duty or his heart; Thale thought he was saving Moira, but in the end she saved him.

This is a novel that has three short stories about three different Vaaden Warriors and the slaves they have purchased. We learn about their society and just how horrible they treat their slaves, as many are considered either a possession or a warm body to get sexual relief. Many of the women are mistreated and injured for the least thing if they displease their masters. The men have the right to kill a slave or give them away. They have a society that if men do not have sex regularly, they will sicken and die. The Warriors prefer slaves over their own women as their women are cold, and uncaring–along with the fact that they do not seem to enjoy sex. Many warriors that have married a Vaaden woman have had a horrible relationship. Thus, the profusion of harems, and it doesn’t explain just how the slaves are found but my guess is that they are kidnapped from earth.

The only slightly good thing that there are a few laws that will protect the slaves. A warrior will be fined for the first two transgressions and then he will face banishment. This isn’t the best way to keep the slaves safe as several different men could abuse a woman and be fined while the slave must suffer.

The first story features Rheul and his new slave Darcy and how their lives are changed upon first sight. Most Vaaden warriors go to select their slaves from the slave pens. Those that are not chosen were sent to the Harems.

Rheul’s situation was different as his brother Bastian had picked one out for him. Getting Rheul a slave was partially Bastian’s idea and partially his slave, Enid’s idea. They hope he will fall in love just like they did. Rheul is stuck on the notion that he has to marry eventually since his brother doesn’t want to marry a Vaaden woman and he sees it as his duty to marry and provide an heir to their fortune. The society doesn’t allow slaves to marry their masters, to live in their master’s homes, or to keep any children that are born of the union. So, the slaves are considered second class citizens.

However, it is not worrisome as it lasts only for best cheap viagra 3 or 4 days. Rheul is a very dutiful male who knows that if he got a slave it would not be fair since once, he married a Vaaden woman he would not see the slave very often. Bastian believes that Rheul would be a good master as he is not violent and would provide the best care possible. I enjoyed his character as he knows his mind and what would be for the best, at first at least. He is also incredibly understanding and is a man of his word.

When he first met Darcy, it was funny because he immediately felt protective. His stomach dropped since he knew that those feelings were not good as he had seen his brother go through the same thing. He doesn’t want to fall in the same trap as his brother.

Darcy is an incredibly sweet but strong woman with a large capacity for love. She is confused and worried about her new life and for a good reason. She is a virgin and had heard horror stories in the slave pen from three slaves that had been returned. She thought she would be abused, expected to do anything that was asked of her no matter how she felt about it. I felt happy for her as her heart swelled at her amazement of how she was being treated, since it was better than she ever imagined.  Their intimacy is hot and yet sweet at the same time, both finding so much pleasure together.

The second story features Randar. Randar is an older warrior and, unlike many of his comrades, he really hadn’t thought of getting a slave. He is firm and no nonsense. He knows what he wants and will get it at any cost. He has rather a romantic notion in his head of having a slave around his age that he could hopefully have a companion.  He is the most compassionate of all three of the men we meet. This is shown by how he treats Lyssa after he brings her back to the slave apartments and he notices how timid and fearful she was. He used such a soothing and calming tone of voice and actions with small touches. To give Lyssa her time to heal and trust him he decides to use the harem. He has a favorite slave he visits, Sophie, whenever he needs to have sex.

Sophie is a completely different person than Lyssa and is more to his liking. When he saw Sophie’s expression at the thought of losing him, he made a wild decision. He was able to support two slaves and he really wanted Sophie near him. She was an older woman whom he already had conversations with, and a pleasant attitude and he just knew that there could be a deep friendship and maybe he could fall in love. He did not have any wish to marry a Vaaden woman.

Sophie makes it clear that she prefers him over any of the men who have come to her. It was so sweet watching them together as it’s obvious how connected they are. She is a brave woman, not letting on just how much it hurts that she must share him. He also becomes extremely protective once he claims her as his and when she points out that many of the men had seen her body and he state, “But That was before you were mine. No one gets to see your body but me.”

She is just such a tough person and the author is doing a great job of showing how differently people who suffer from tragedy behave. The fact that Sophie did not let herself become jaded and is still able to love and in fact look forward to being intimate with him. Where Lyssa has become withdrawn, bitter and unable to cope, just letting her mind shut down and do what is asked. He is another man of honor who is trying his best to keep both woman happy.

The final story involves Thale, another man who is forced to take a slave from a friend.  Yet again, Rheul is stepping in to get a woman who deserves to get out of the Harem to a friend he knows will take care of her.

Thale has a completely different personality than the other two men. He had owned a slave before, and it was not a good idea. He accidentally ended up hurting her. He also blames himself for his wife’s death, even though he had been cleared by the medic. He has lost faith in himself and because of everything he went through he believes he has no heart to give. Rheul is persistent , soThale agrees to visit her but he made sure Rheul knew that he would not decide right away. The poor man is so insecure about love and just will not believe that his concrete heart could be broken into.

Poor Thale is captivated by her eyes first and feels a pull towards her. It scares him as he has not felt a pull like this ever. Moira has been abused also and my heart hurt as she has accepted the fact that these men can do this to her as she is only a slave. Again, the society is showing just how far they need to go to understand that humans have feelings and should not be treated like an object.

Thale well knows his own of his weaknesses and makes sure that Moira knows them. He makes sure that she understands that he won’t hurt her and won’t share her with anyone else. Moira is another sweet woman that seems to be made just for Thale, as she remarks to him, “I have a lot of tolerance so being rude won’t bother me.” All she cares about is that he is not mean.  Their sex life is explosive a passionate. Moira is a great character with a soft personality and the ability to know what he wants. Love beats all circumstances.

These stories show us just how horrible sex slavery is, how each woman must take whatever comes to her and not complain. These women were strong enough to take the horrors they faced day after day, but others have been broken, living inside their minds while letting their bodies be used. Each one is considered a possession if they are bought from the harem. They may have a slightly better life, but it depends on their owner. Not everyone is as sweet and caring as these fine men. I’m going to see if there are full stories available as this is only a small sample of what happened to other men.

Love doesn’t always show up when you expect it to. For that matter, neither do mysteries!

There was some fabulous chemistry between RJ and Wyck that played out in a beautifully slow fashion. Their banter was on point and they seemed just aware enough of the sparks flying between them for me to wonder when one of them might finally act on it. I appreciated the fact that things moved so slowly between them, too. That was perfect for their personalities even though I was eager to see if they make as good of a match for each other as I thought they might.

I would have liked to see more attention paid to the mystery elements of the storyline. They were an important part of why RJ’s road trip unfolded the way that it did, and things felt a little unbalanced to me when it came to how much time was spent on this when compared to the paranormal and romantic plots.

The dialogue was smooth and felt natural to me. Each time I read the passages that included a lot of conversations between RJ and the various folks in her life, it felt like I was listening to two people talk instead. These sections couldn’t have been written better. They were a joy to experience.

This novella is the eighth in a series, and it works well as a standalone piece. I’d only read one of the previous installments and had no problem catching up with what had happened since then.

Dream Job? should be read by fans of the romance, paranormal, and mystery genres alike.

I appreciated the fact that she kept such a close eye on current language trends during her visits to Earth. It made her feel relatable, especially when she was speaking to humans who didn’t realize she was a witch.

There were several plot threads that were left dangling by the final scene. While I totally understand why some them would be saved for future reference in possible upcoming sequels, having so many of them mentioned but not resolved in any way was a little frustrating for me as a reader. It would have been helpful if even one of them was brought to its natural conclusion.

The banter between Josephine and Clarence was truly delightful. I can’t say they liked each other very much the first time they met, but I did sense that they were pretty intrigued with each other. They had much more in common than either one realized in the beginning, including painful pasts and uncanny abilities to ignore social conventions on purpose in order to see what would happen next. Not only did this provide plenty of opportunities for them to get sucked into amusing conversations together, it also made me wonder when their mutual dislike of each other might evolve into love.

This is the third installment in a series. It can be read as a standalone work.

I’d recommend Root Brew Float to anyone who is in the market for something lighthearted.

As Fred the Mermaid tries to fit in with her own kind, she finds herself hooked on both Artur, the High Prince of the undersea realm, and Thomas, a hunky marine biologist. She’s also caught between two factions of merfolk: those happy with swimming under the radar-and those who want to bring their existence to the surface.

There’s quirky and then there’s Fred. She’s one in a million.

I’ve read other Mary Janice Davidson books and liked them. When I saw this one about merfolk, I had to read it. I wanted to see what twist this author would do on the mermaid trope. The writing style is fluid and kept my attention. I read this one over the course of two afternoons. I didn’t want to put it down, but I had other things to do, so such is life.

That said, Fred, the heroine, isn’t going to be for everyone. She’s blunt, mean and tough. She took a lot of getting used to and to be honest, I wasn’t rooting for her. She said what she felt and didn’t seem to care if she upset anyone. I’m glad she was ballsy, but man…she could be a handful. I wasn’t sure who she’d end up with and the ending wasn’t as satisfying to me as I might have liked, but other readers might love it.

If you want another twist on the merfolk theme, then give this one a try. It’s worth the read.

After being teased about a scary urban legend of “The Lady on the road” by her older brother, a teenage girl drives to her friend’s house on a Friday night to hang out. After leaving her friend’s house, she decides she’s going to prove to her brother that “The Lady on the Road ” urban legend is just that…

The protagonist of this story is an eighteen-year-old who has heard her older brother’s story about a very creepy lady on the road for years. The story features a ghost driver’s encounter before disappearing.

Of course the star of this tale doesn’t quite take the legend seriously. She decides to go out one evening in search of entertainment. Not finding enough of it, she dares herself to go down the road of nightmares.

That seems like a stupid thing to do, but in the real world, people would most likely laugh off the lore as a stupid story, so this character will probably be all right and later have a good laugh about her adventures. She could boast of being brave. She seems like a normal young lady, and readers will find themselves curious. Will something bad happen? Will there be a surprising ending?

The mood of the story starts out as suspenseful then gets dark. The secondary characters support the storyline just right, and the setting is well done. This is a quick, entertaining read.
