Danner Teslan has agreed to investigate a possible smuggling ring on a military ship. However when he arrives and meets Zall, he’s convinced the ex-slave is his other half. Zall is not interested in becoming another man’s property and Danner has to decide whether he’s willing to give another person the freedom to destroy his heart.

This is the third installment in the Planetary Submissive’s series by Amber Kell, and I fell in love with Zall in the first book. I waited anxiously for his story and Ms. Kell gives him a great addition to the series. Zall is a former slave and doesn’t want to submit to anyone again, but the only way he can be with Captain Danner Teslan is to be his property as his cabin boy.

The subplot of the smugglers in this story is a great backdrop to Zall and Danner dancing around each other while trying to figure out their relationship. Seeing Zall open up and the way he fits into the crew of the ship, just shows how much he was undervalued as a slave. Captain Teslan is an interesting character, since he’s so in control in his professional life in order to be one of the youngest ship captains in the military. The way he let go when with Zall adds the right amount of spice to their relationship. The sex scenes are hot and touching all at once. This is a novella so my biggest complaint is the same complaint I have with all of Ms. Kell’s stories, they are just too short. She does an amazing job with the few words a novella leaves her and the emotion is clearly there that you still care about these characters.

This can be read as a stand alone but I recommend reading at least the first book in this series first so that you understand Zall and what shaped him as a character. I love this series, and I would gladly read this book again. The sex is hot, the action is fast, and the story is a great read!

Miss Me Baby is an interesting take on coming back to earth from Heaven to haunt a lover – or rather have some smokin’ hot sex with a lover – and I was impressed how smooth this ‘unbelievable’ aspect of this book was. Felicity’s conversion to Lisa and the Lis was smooth and all my thoughts as a reader answered.

Once this was set up, and John had a suitable amount of ‘what the hell is going on’ the tale became an interesting plot that had a twist I really didn’t see coming. There was some great sexy moments, some lovely slushy romantic scenes and an ending that was wholly satisfying.

This was my first book by this author. I’d certainly read her work again, the writing style is smooth and easy to follow, the characters well rounded and the story interesting. If you like your contemporary romance with a little divine intervention Miss Me Baby is a book for you.

The shifters are going public. Now that the danger is over from the ancient evil, life should get back to normal at the Masters’ pack. With a few new folks staying there, life looks like it will be fine. After seeing all the mated people, new arrival Kitty Kelley wonders if she might find her mate, too. But her first priority is to her teenaged twin sisters, and their safety. When their old pack Alpha continues to harass her, trying to force her back to become his chosen mate, she discovers the Everett is her destined mate, and he swears to keep Kitty and her sisters safe from the Alpha. Before they can get their happy ever after, danger threatens, and Everett must do everything in his power to protect what is his. Can Kitty and Everett have the happy ending she has longed for? Will the public riot when the shifters reveal themselves, or will Russ Masters be the strength needed to smooth the way? Have the prophecies of the Ancients finally all been revealed?

Absolution is the sixth and final book in Jambrea Jo Jones’ Seeds of Dawn series, and a very satisfactory final chapter it is. Like the rest of the series, the world her is a wondrous mix of reality and fantasy, the perfect blend of traditions and imagination in a world filled with impossible beings. The characters are as well crafted here as they were in the beginning, and the strength of each and every individual is there for all to see.

Kitty Kelley is strong and determined to protect her teen sisters. She is afraid that their old Alpha will come after them, and she has just learned that she has a mate in the Masters’ pack. I love her sassy mouth and her courage, ready to make a new start far from all she is familiar with. I love that, when Everett said he was her mate, she didn’t play coy or deny him, but was ready to take the next step. I liked that she worried about others more than herself, and that, when danger came to call, she faced it and didn’t hide.

Everett has wanted his mate ever since everyone around him started meeting theirs. He is smart, strong and loyal to friends and family, taking care of those around him. When he discovers that Kitty is his mate, he offers her time, and his protection even if she doesn’t accept him. I loved watching as he realizes that she wants him too. I love Everett for his strength, his patience and his sensitivity to Kitty and her worries for her sisters.

There are several completely unexpected and ironic twists to this final installment. One has to do with the new head of the Tyler pack, and the other with Kitty’s Uncle Kurt. Both of these twists made me laugh at the total irony of what was happening. The many different threads of the series are brought together for one final look at the adventures and difficulties that have brought the pack to this place and time. All of the characters from the previous books make an appearance here, and the progress for everyone is well done. The final dialog from the Ancients is the perfect finish to this one, and I highly recommend the whole Seeds of Dawn series for anyone who like their romance with some humor, some danger, and lots of heat.

Take two stubborn cowboys, add in one determined little boy, and toss in a snowstorm for good measure. Who knew building a family could be so hard?

If you ask Isaiah Preston, he’s pretty lucky. He’s happy in his job as a ranch manager, admires his boss, Grady, in more ways than one, and if he doesn’t have everything he wants, well, that’s life, isn’t it?

Near-perfect isn’t enough anymore. Isaiah wants it all—home, family and, most importantly, Grady, in both his life and bed.

To get what he wants, though, Isaiah is going to have to fight prejudice, misunderstanding, and even Grady himself.

Isaiah wakes up to the news that he’s now a guardian to a brother he knew nothing about, so starts their journey to become a family. He’s loved and respected his boss from afar and when you add in a child who can make anyone a friend, you see the beginnings of a family.

I was hooked from the very first page. Something about Isaiah and Grady loving each other but not acting on it for so many years, just made me root for them. Throw in a child who’s determined to have the family he’s always wanted and you can’t help but fall in love. This isn’t an action packed or even a super steamy read, it’s heartwarming with just the right amount of spice thrown in. Grady and Isaiah have to overcome the challenges that living in a ranching community in Wyoming while gay and that part of the story is handled in a way that’s very believable. I easily saw how hard it would be to Grady who grew up in Wyoming to be okay being openly gay, while Isaiah, a transplant for California, wouldn’t have the same hang ups. If I were to complain about anything, it’s that at times I wanted to smack Grady for being so hard on himself, but that just goes to show how much I came to care for these characters.

I will definitely pick up more KM Mahoney’s books in the future; I’ve been won over by the emotion and exceptional story telling. I hope there are more books on this ranch because I really want Tommy to get his story. If you love your romance with a lot of heart and some spice, then you need to read this.

She’ll be released if she agrees to take her sister’s place as Cyril’s whore in a meeting with Lance Clay. After being drugged, Catherine is left in a seedy motel to await her date.

Lance, however, was not what she expected. His goal is not to work with Cyril, but to take him down. He’d been working with Catherine’s sister to accomplish this, and just when they got close, Sidney was killed.

There was much in this book I liked. The intrigue and mystery were compelling, and I was anxious to find out how things would come together. Catherine was a character who was easy to root for, thrown in an environment not of her choosing, but fighting to get her way out. Lance was sympathetic and caring, and it made sense for the two of them to come together under the circumstances.

Though the “bones” of the story were there, it felt much was missing from this book. Many of the holes weren’t filled in and I missed much of the drama. A good example is early on. After being shot at, the heroes get into a car and speed away. Out of nowhere, a car bangs into them and chases them. It was an exciting set up and I was looking forward to how they’d escape or what they’d do. A few sentences later, however, they’d somehow gotten away and found themselves at a safe house. By skipping all the details and the action, I didn’t feel pulled into the story. I’m not sure if it was the short nature of the book that led to the brevity of the writing or if the other way around, but this was a tale that was told, not shown. It kept me from having an emotional attachment to any of the characters.

While I liked the character of Ben, an old acquaintance of Lance, a good portion of this short story was devoted to him and his potential love. It was another good basis for a story, and I wouldn’t mind reading it, but mixing it in here took away from the main characters of Lance and Catherine. I would have preferred focusing on one couple, considering the limited pages.

This is book one in a future series, which I’ve always been a fan of. I enjoy following familiar characters through several tales and becoming closer to those involved. My preference, however is to have each tale wrapped up by the end of the book, with perhaps a teaser for the next in the series. This story, however, leaves the reader with unanswered questions – many posted in the last pages. It’s an interesting way to bring readers to the next title, but it can also leave the current story feeling unfinished.

As a whole, Love, Death and Justice was entertaining. The intrigue and suspense is great, and with a few additional details and tweaks, this book would be a real page turner. I liked it enough to look at the next title, and hope to find more of a personal connection with the characters as time goes on.

Beauty, brains and voluptuous curves…Tera’s exactly the kind of woman Nick’s been looking for, but can he convince her that the smokin’ hot chemistry between them is more than skin deep?

Terrah Bryant embraces her curves despite being immersed in the modelling world. Her job as a makeup artist requires confidence, creativity and the ability to stay focused in the presence of some of the world’s finest men. She has never had a problem until she works with Nick Tasso, a gorgeous Greek model who has a thing for voluptuous women.

She struggles to deal with the media’s scrutiny over her body and their burgeoning relationship. Terrah must decide to trust her heart and face her own insecurities before she can have the ‘happily ever after’ she truly desires.

Today’s media is selling us a message that if woman is not size zero or below then her life is miserable, unhappy, she is lonely and nobody will ever love her. Such a message is creating very dangerous anxiety among women. Fortunately there are books promoting curves and providing women with completely different and far more positive body image message. Ample Delights is one of those books.

The main character of the story is Terrah, a make-up artist in the fashion industry and she is size 14. But, regardless of her clothing size and the daily contact with the ultra-thin models, Terrah is a girl who loves her body and she is not putting her relationship in doubt because of her size. On the contrary, Terrah is one of the greatest size 14 heroines that I’ve had the chance to meet. She is down to earth, and when her old fears came crawling back she dealt with them in the rational and adult manner. No whining, no self-loathing, just telling the message: “love your body, love your curves”.

Besides the great heroine, this story is packed with hot sex.  While the sex scenes give additional spiciness and flavor to the story, even without them the story would be great. In other words the story does not focus on the sex but on the development of the relationship between Terrah and Nick. Additionally, I would like to point out that although this is multicultural novel, the issue of multicultural relationship is not raised at all, which was really fine by me. Trying to cover too many issues in one place can unnecessarily dilute the story. Author Nichelle Gregory has done a great job focusing on body image issue while developing relationship and creating two great characters.

Ample Delights has all my favorite genre components; it is contemporary, Rubenesque and Multicultural, three in one — oh what a joy! — but what is most important it is also a great story that provides the reader with the message that you do not have to be size zero to be happy, loved, have great guy and very hot and satisfying sex. And because of all this I highly recommend this story.

Snow leopard shifter Isaiah Trujillo isn’t a doctor like his brother Tim, but he’s a good guy and when he meets Bae Allen Warren, he knows he’s found the one man to make his life complete.Snow leopard shifter Isaiah Trujillo wasn’t the brightest guy. His brother was a doctor with more letters after his name than in it, and Isaiah was just a mechanic. But, he strived to be a good person, and that included accepting the offer to volunteer at a GLBTQ youth centre.

He’s nervous as hell, but Isaiah’s determined to do what he can to help.

Bae Allen Warren is a veterinarian with a mobile practice. It allows him more freedom than having an actual building he had to work out of. He had more baggage than any man should, thanks to his messed up shifter family. His lepe, or clan, was a source of constant stress and guilt. But the leader, his grandfather, makes demands on Bae he can’t ever fulfil for moral and other reasons.

When Bae and Isaiah meet, it’s instant attraction. They know they’re mates, but there’s so many obstacles in their way, not the least of which are the stalkers who seem determined to kidnap Bae.

The term pheromone was coined by two hormone researchers, viagra buy Karlson and Luscher who created the word which has Greek origins, pherein, meaning to bring or transfer; and hormon, meaning to excite. Isaiah questioned how he even let Cliff talk him into volunteering, let alone teaching a class. That was until he saw Bae and he knew destiny had brought him to his true mate.

Isaiah may not see himself as the brightest man, but he sure has a way with his hands, especially when they are all over Bae’s body. I absolutely adored Isaiah. His strong and subtle power really drew me to him and allowed him to worm his way into my heart.  I could tell he had one of those personalities that made everyone look his way when he entered a room. It was no shock when Bae quickly fell for the gentle giant. The only thing that sometimes frustrated me was Isaiah’s inability to see himself the way others did. He was by far one of the most intelligent men on the story and I was happy to see that Bae quickly picked up in this and tried to make Isaiah seem himself the way others saw him.

Bae has all of the qualifications I would expect from someone who lived under the thumb of a controlling ruler with no common sense or empathy towards others. It made him a bit distrustful of people, which was clear to me. The author put small things into the story to show just how little freedom he seemed to have over his own life as a youth. I knew with Isaiah by his side he would be able to see just how much control he not only had over his own life, but maybe even a little over those around him and their view on the world.

One thing that left me feeling a bit empty was that I didn’t get to see the characters in their leopard forms as much as I would have liked. I am a sucker for a shifter, and absolutely love seeing the world from a shifter’s view. I would have liked to have seen Isaiah and Bae’s kitties come out and play a bit more and really influence their relationship development as well as their personal development. It would have been nice to see their animalistic side trying to protect its mate as well.

The conflict within the story added excitement as well as a air of mystery. Just when you think you know something, the author would spin you around to discover maybe you aren’t so right. She even allowed me to see that what may seem like a bad person, maybe just someone just as lost and misguided as their victims. Anytime I find myself sympathizing with not only the heroes but also the people acting as obstacles of their love I am automatically intrigued.

While this was the first story I have read within this series I can easily see how it can capture an audience and keep them coming back from more.

Passion grows between them and soon she finds herself falling for the Recon Marine. And falling hard.

As things escalate between them, Sam has to accept his past doesn’t control him if he plans on keeping Roxi in his future. Can he understand that this is the one woman who can give him something more? Will he silence the fear within him and tell Roxi she’s the one for him? Will he realise that he deserves more than just a temporary home?

Sam Hoch, a Marine gunnery sergeant, is called home because the man he considers to be his father is ill. Dean Richardson saved Sam when his parents threw him out and made sure he would always have a place to stay. Sam joined the Marines because Dean was a Marine and he wanted to be exactly like him.

Roxi Mammon offered Sam the use of her guest room when Dean Jr. complained about him staying in the Richardson’s home. She found that she could not take her eyes off the blue-eyed soldier, and wondered what it would be like if they were together.

Temporary Home was so good and entertaining to read; the characters were full-bodied and I found that I could identify with them. Aliyah Burke made them so real, I cared what happened to them and I couldn’t wait until Sam and Roxi hit the sheets. When they did, it was explosive and I knew no matter what, these two would end up together. I loved the supporting characters, especially Laila’s niece whose close relationship with Sam caused Roxi to wonder if Laila wanted him for herself. The angst that Sam still lived with kept him from fully giving his heart, but you saw his heart slowly coming to life because of his developing feelings for Roxi. This character’s slow transformation was so real it made me love the character of Sam even more. Roxi was a strong character as well, but could also be soft and vulnerable where Sam was concerned. The only negative I found were a few proofing errors.  While these did not detract from the story, it made me need to re-read a few lines just to be sure of what the author was trying to say. Aliyah Burke is an excellent writer and I have enjoyed quite a few of her books and look forward to continue reading more of her work.

Temporary Home is an excellent read and one that this reader would recommend without a doubt.

Made desperate by the Marquis’ threats of violence, Angelique visits a notorious Parisian hôtel where patrons indulge in wild sexual adventures. There, she meets the angelic looking Christophe and his dark and brooding friend Armand. The three of them indulge in an orgy of sensual delight.

Angelique believes her actions have freed her from the Marquis…until she is abducted and learns that her connection to Christophe and Armand has become a threat to her very existence.

A Boudoir for Three is a classic tale of desperate times call for desperate measures!

We meet Angelique as her evil stepfather delivers the news that she’s to be married. Given no choice in the matter, she quickly learns that her bethrowed is a vile, evil man. After an eye opening encounter, Angelique decides no matter what it takes she will not be his next victim. Overhearing a conversation between the servants, she learns of a secret “hotel” where debauchery abounds. She stows away into the night to solve all her problems, or so she thinks.

At said hotel, she meets Christophe and Armand. The two close friends, after hearing her unfortunate circumstances, decide to aid her in her plight to lose what her evil betrothed values most, her virginity.

Christophe is your typical Prince Charming with the heart of gold while Armand is the dark, angry brooding counterpart of the duo. Christophe was very much ‘what you see is what you get’ and Armand carries ulterior motives when it comes to Angelique. When Angelique’s fortune takes a turn for the worse, the men must come to her rescue.

After reading this book, I felt as though there were things missing from the story. How did the men meet and become so close? When Angelique was away from the men, what were the men feeling and how did it change them? There was some backstory missing that could’ve helped the plot. Also, the love scenes were missing a certain connection between the three.

Ms. Ellis did do a great job of creating the desperation that Angelique felt at her unlucky hand that was dealt to her. The villains were well written and created enough emotion that you wanted to do them bodily harm. The author stayed true to the time period and some of the proclivities that typically happened then.

Overall, the book was a good read and anyone who enjoys historicals with a bit of spice, Prince Charming or a broody hero then luckily this book has it all!
