I like his determination to bring Grace into his and Max’s lives, although I did understand his hesitation at the beginning. He is strong, gorgeous, and I loved his “never give up” attitude. He is the optimist of the three, positive that this can and will work if Max and Grace just get to know each other.

Max is the successful businessman, strong and dominant, and more than a little shocked by the ‘complication’ to his plan to move to the next step with Trev. Dark to Trev’s light, they make each other very happy. He is surprised, hurt, and a bit confused but as he meets Grace, he falls for her quickly, maybe as quickly as Trev did. I enjoyed watching Max go from angry and hurt, to curious, and finally to wanting Grace as much as Trev does.

Grace is the wild card here. She is strong, sensitive and very confused. Her head tells her she should be repulsed, but she can’t deny the heat that fills her at thought of Trev and Max and what she witnessed. She needs to come to terms with how she feels, and not how she thinks she should feel. I loved watching her open her mind, and her heart to the two men she comes to love.

This is a very hot story, and one that I would recommend to anyone who wants to experience the heat and passion that three people can generate in a scorching hot encounter or two. The happy ever after was long in coming, but it is well worth the wait. Ms Dee has brought romance to a higher level of hot, and I hope she continues to gift us with love and passion like this one.

Ann Jacobs has built a world on a planet much like Earth, and yet so very different at the same time. The characters are well crafted, and the heat level is scorchingly hot throughout. I liked the romance threaded through the passion, and would love to see more from this world.

Star is a strong and sensuous woman. She is a pleasure giver, a respected position on Obsidion, and she is the best at what she does. She also has a secret and how she dealt with it made me really like her. I also liked the way she protected and cared for Brendan, the eunuch she ‘bought’ to save him the terrible life he had before. She is compassionate and loyal, and unashamed of her life.

Giles is strong, handsome and a fierce starfighter. It is only with Star that he can show the other side of himself, the submissive to her dominant. He discovers a joy he never knew as he submits to the attentions of Star and Brendan, and I loved watching him discover that love and passion are far more important for a happy life than glory in battle ever could be.

This is one of the hottest short stories I have ever read. There are several steaming scenes, but the one in the Dungeon has to top it all. I enjoyed watching these three people learn how to become a united family, and I enjoyed watching Giles discover that love comes in all sizes and genders, and that he could accept both pleasure and pain, and still be whole. This is definitely one world I want to visit again, and I hope Ms. Jacobs brings me many more like this one. Do Star, Giles and Brendan get the happy ever after they deserve? You’ll just have to read His Pleasure Mistress to find out for yourself.

I liked how Ms. Zwaduk resolves it quickly rather than dragging the reader through several chapters of agonizing pig-headedness.

Ms. Zwaduk did a terrific job of building a tangible and obviously loving relationship between Arran and Sav. At the same time you hear the love that Arran still has for Mindy when he first leaves her a voice message and then again when they speak in person. I felt like Sav’s acceptance of Mindy in their lives is a sign of his love and trust in Aaran that was integral to making the whole relationship work.

My only real problem with the story is that I felt like I was thrown into the story with only a couple of snapshots of the past to get me caught up and invested in the present before it moves swiftly towards the HEA. I would like to have been given some more background on both Arran and Mindy’s relationship as well as how/where Aaran met and fell in love with Sav. Having said that, this is a short story and it is still an entertaining read despite its length. Tangled Up appears to be the third in a series but it works without issue as a stand-alone. If you read Must Be Doing Something Right or Learning How To Bend you’ll enjoy being treated with a visit from the co-owner of Besta Pizza Around, Nate Waterford.

Are you are looking for a sweet and unique twist on a menage in the making? If so, pick up a copy of Tangled Up. This little novella has plenty of heart coupled with some steamy heat in just the right mix to keep you reading. This is an easy read as well as an obvious recommend!

The best thing about Sci-fi/paranormal stories is there are no rules or set boundaries on how the characters should look or act. I found nothing lacking in the plot or the writing style in this story and I’m glad to have it in my library. Definitely a story that you can get into if you like paranormal.

We were introduced to Julian in book 2 of the series when Jack, Sam and Abby travel to Dallas to clean up a family problem.

The reader gets a glimpse into the hellacious teen years after Finn realized he was attracted to men as well as women. Like Finn, we are treated to a screen shot of Dani’s painful years of growing up as poor white trash in Willow Fork. Watching the changes in both Dani and Finn once they become involved with Julian were truly breathtaking and poignant.

I could go on and on about the many layers of this amazing book but you really just need to read it to understand. You don’t have to have read the first two in the series to enjoy Siren Enslaved but it helps to get to know the secondary characters that are present. One of the aspects of the story I really enjoyed was that it smoothly shifts POV from Dani, Finn and Julian. It was easy to become emotionally invested in the story when I could better understand the characters motivation.

Since starting reviewing I have been “introduced” to a lot of terrific writers but there are a dozen or so that I consider truly outstanding story tellers. Sophie Oak is one of those. No matter if she takes you to Bliss, Colorado, a private island, a secluded ranch or Willow Fork, Texas you walk away knowing you have been a part of a fantastic and well developed adventure.

If you look for stories that tug at your heart strings while stealing your breath you will love Siren Enslaved. I know I did.

The first thing that drew me in and stood out was the dialect, which gave a flare of modern day “real people” feeling to the story, and the characters just jumped out at me with their personality. From Roan with his ‘I know I’m beautiful attitude’ to Jake’s ‘I made a mess of things’; and then there is Em who gets lost in her work and forgets about the world outside the lab. I love the book, between the dialect and the cute phrases I laughed so hard, I was afraid I would wake the hubby. So many clever and quick-witted remarks that just added to the overall story. I did have to put the book down for a minute and get on the computer to find out about the old Kinsey continuum of sexuality, just to see if I could find any input. This story was a wild ride and a lot of “hey what the hell”; I think it was a new and well plan plot, which is why I will be adding Tara Lain to my list of favorite authors. I definitely fell in love with her writing style and imagination. She had such a refreshing plot that will stay with me a long time and I think is well worth the money to add to your library.
