A few words come to mind when I think about Saddle Broke, including hot, sexy, and explosive. Darah Lace writes heat like you wouldn’t believe, but even better, she gives life to characters that are complex and unforgettable. The result is a story that you won’t want to put down from start to finish, even as you’re guzzling down ice water to keep your body temperature regulated along the way.

Lindsey was someone I related to. She wants Clay but knows her desire for kink is her own — not his. What she discovered in that barn years ago sparked something deep inside, and while uncertain of how deeply her own desires run, she’s willing to explore and test her boundaries. Clay, on the other hand, is very dark and complex. As the story progressed I was eager to learn more about him. I wouldn’t call him noble so much as he is contemplative, especially since an event in the past taught him just how wrong things can go when the person you’re involved with isn’t receptive to your eccentricities.

The material is well-written and-fast paced, and I was pleased that the story contained supporting characters and subplots that added depth to the work. I’m not sure if there will be another story following this one, but I’m going to go out on a limb and say I’d certainly love to read something in the future about Evan. While Clay is the hero, Evan did manage to steal a scene here and there, and it was more than enough to pique my interest.

Those looking for a scorching hot story with heavy BDSM elements, ménage, and a whole lot of kink will love Saddle Broke. It’s got everything you’re looking for in a solid erotic romance and then some.

Tanner’s Angel is a fast-paced, well-written story that will keep you hanging on the edge of your seat wondering how long it will take Mike to discover the truth about Malcolm and Mary Anne. In addition, the words flowed over the page and the characterizations were so realistic that they brought the characters and story to life, especially when the bantering began between Mary Anne, The Tanners, and her brothers. You can’t help but fall in love with all of them. However, I must admit that there were times I was a little frustrated with Malcolm and Mary Anne for the way they treated Mike, but there’s that old saying… every dog has his day. Well, Mike definitely has his when it comes to Malcolm and Mary Anne.

I hope that Ms. Penn writes a sequel to Tanner’s Angel because I would love to know what happens now that Digger and Charlie, the other two Tanner brothers have returned home. She has definitely left the ending open to a sequel. I’d also love a story about the Carol brothers – hint, hint.

If you’re looking for a captivating, sensual story that will have you laughing from the bantering, and panting from the sex scenes, then Tanner’s Angel is the book to read. Bravo Ms. Penn! Not only have you hit a home run with Tanner’s Angel, but I’d also recommend it to my friends.

I couldn’t even drum up any sympathy for that character’s ultimate demise. I just know that it’s eventually going to be a bad ending, but sometimes there’s just no accounting for taste.

Lifemates is a fun, entertaining paranormal romance with a unique shifter species that I’d really like to know more about. There’s a family dynamic hinted at that I’d like to see explored more and I enjoyed this story enough to wonder about other books by this author. I’m glad I read this book, it made me smile.

Because this was a sci-fi story based on another world the author really had free rein to use her imagination. While she did a great job with the characters I would have liked to have had more description about the environment around the characters. I wasn’t able to picture this unique world as well as I would have liked.

The conflict in this story was great. It actually left me questioning who was really on the side of justice on a few occasions. The only people you can actually say have the right intentions throughout this story are Senth and Khyff and even they have a checkered past. I mean how trustworthy can a thief and a prostitute really be? This was a good sci-fi story with a great cast and interesting plot. I look forward to more from this world.

The story is pretty fast-paced and has clever twists and turns to keep the reader engaged. This isn’t my first time to read an exciting tale from Ms. Xander and it won’t be my last.

With the future of the species at stake, the sexy shifters have only one week to convince her that not only is she a tiger, but she must mate with both men to save the Pantherians from extinction.

Adam and Ean may finally give Marie what she has longed for. After losing her foster parents Marie had a hole inside of her she felt only having children and a family could fill. Just when she realized the hole may never be filled, along come Adam and Ean telling her that she could have everything she wanted plus more. The problem is the only way to give her all of it is for her to learn and accept what she really is—a tiger shifter.

Although the main plot of the story was well thought out, the subplots left me wanting a little more. I think part of the reason may have been the author was trying to fit too many different subplots into this story. I would like to have seen more about Ean’s conflict between losing his wife and finding Marie. I would also have liked to have some resolution in regards to Marie’s biological parents. It seemed to be a significant factor in the plot of the story, yet there was really no closure with respect to it.

I did, however, enjoy the devotion all three characters showed one another, which kept their relationship moving forward. Even when Marie was angry and did not want to deal with either man, you could still tell she genuinely cared about each, and although disappointed and confused she still did not want to leave or harm them.

This story was unique because it focuses a lot of attention on Marie becoming pregnant, which you do have in some romance/erotic stories, but it is usually fleeting and unimportant throughout the story. In The Tiger’s Tale, the pregnancy played a large role. The only relationship that really seemed to develop during this time was hers with Ean, which the story did need.

I like the fact that Ms. Malone incorporated the fact they were shifters very thoroughly throughout this story. Not only were the emotions important because they were shifters, but in certain parts, particularly the pregnancy, the actual physical shifting was also important. Many stories use the notion of shifting as nothing more than a plot device, but the actual animal form itself is really not required. In this story, Marie had to shift which I enjoyed because it made it feel like a true shifter story, not just a romance story that could have been about regular humans or shifters. The main plot and the unique notion of shifting kept me entertained thorough the entire story. All in all, this was a story I did enjoy, and I give it three cherries.

The first two chapters of Fierce Radiance were so intense and action packed that I couldn’t help but weep for poor little Aine as I read her story and learned about all of the suffering and pain she endured at such a young age. Her character literally came to life and now holds a special place in my heart.

Fierce Radiance is a heart wrenching, scintillating, sensuous story that will take you on an unbelievable emotional roller coaster ride. The characters quickly leapt off the pages and made me feel as though I was a part of their family. My heart went out to Aine as she suffered through several tragedies in her life to become a strong, independent woman who quickly gains the heart of two ruggedly handsome alien beings. As I was reading Fierce Radiance, the simple statement, “what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger…” continued to flow through my mind.

In Fierce Radiance, Aine, Samuel and Ker embrace a love that binds them together, defies time, and journeys forever into infinity, or so it seems. Bravo to Ms. Dalton for providing us with a tantalizing story that is all that and a bag of chips. I mean honestly, who can resist an adventurous space journey that consists of a feisty, strong-willed heroine, two sexy, ruggedly handsome alien beings, a love that endures all time and space, and scorching hot sex scenes that are guaranteed to melt the snow on a cold, winter’s night?

But keep in mind, Fierce Radiance is not for the faint of heart. It will definitely make you cry and if you’ve ever experienced Ms. Dalton’s masterpiece, The Reluctant Dom, then you know you’ll need a box of Kleenex. I would definitely recommend Ms. Dalton’s second masterpiece, Fierce Radiance, to my friends.

This is a hot story about second chances being better than the first time around and the journey of reconciliation makes for a gripping read.

Colton is a man who knows he has to grovel to get his mate back. He’s strong, confident, cocky and is willing to bend and do whatever it takes to be the man back in Michi’s life. He has a secret that caused him to hurt his mate and he’s done something radical and life changing to correct it and be worthy of regaining her trust. He’s the prominent character in this book and he is the perfect focal point.

Michipi is the woman Colton left. She has never gotten over him but she certainly has moved on with her life and has made the best of things. She has to be a very determined woman to succeed as she has and her inner strength will hold her in good stead when she gets the shock of her life. There is a surprise external conflict I didn’t expect and it moved this story from a good read to a really great read. I can definitely recommend this book to any reader of romantic sci-fi fantasy stories because it has all the best elements to entertain, keep a reader’s interest and a happily-ever-after that really satisfies.
