Here is the 14th installment in the Divine Creek Ranch series which stars Gwen Henderson, whom we met briefly in book four. But lovable Chris has his own personal issues and when Gwen and Julian make it apparent they want to include Chris, he has to work out his problems in order to accept the gift they both are offering him.

The three of them begin a journey together, knowing there is an expiration date but deciding to seize the day and enjoy what they can. The journey helps each of the three deal with a variety of issues, I felt the overall theme was acceptance.

This was another great story by author Heather Rainier who continues to keep the storylines fresh and different after fourteen books. While this wasn’t my personal favorite (I’m sorry, Ms. Rainier, you’re gonna have a hard time topping Seth) it was still  a five star book. My favorite part was the Woobie realization; it was so sweet even I teared up.

One thing I love is that you can pick up these books and read them without having to read the previous books because the author does a great job of recapping enough without information dumping all over the place. That’s a pet peeve of mine as a reader. If you like sexy cowboys, sweet mouth Jersey boys and strong headed females, please read this and do yourself a favor, read them all! You won’t be sorry and I can’t wait for what is next in Divine!

Some of the back story and language used was confusing at times, but when I realized that it allowed me to understand Eliana and her position better, it made perfect sense. There were some very hot sex scenes, but there was also a lot of time where Eliana is learning to trust and allow herself to let go. I was very upset when Eliana and Kon had a falling out, and when they finally come back together I rejoiced. It’s an interesting relationship, it’s Kon and Dane, Kon and Eliana and the Eliana and Dane. They all love and relate to each other differently and yet love each other as a trio as well. Eliana lived a hard life so if reading about a character’s past abuse is a problem, I’d skip this one.

I recommend this book for fans of unique paranormal worlds with some serious sexiness thrown in.

This short story is full of wonderful, kinky sex. The ménage between Beth and her friends – Sam and Janet – is not overly graphic, but more is a tool to explain how Beth is introduced to the BDSM scene at the club. It made her feel safe and I thought it an excellent detail some authors gloss over. While not shy – Beth is a newbie and not ready to jump into the scene all in one hit.

I was a little disappointed at how quickly the scenes jump. I figure this is partly due to the short word limit – but a part of me would have much preferred fewer scenes and having them longer, more detailed. I also found it mildly unrealistic that Beth wouldn’t ask questions of her secret Dom or try to discover his identity in more than three months of weekly encounters. The three month jump where she still had no idea of Jonah’s identity pulled me a little out of the story, because I found it odd she had no desire to learn who her secret lover was.

Still, this was a deeply satisfying read. Jonah and Beth have a lot of chemistry working between them, and I felt the fact Beth is blindfolded a lot during her and her Dom’s interactions adds to the sexual tension and the dynamic between them. While the BDSM is integral to the plot, the kink isn’t way over in the “extreme” side of things. Certainly not a tale for the faint of heart, neither did I find it too much or offensive – most of the more common taboos are avoided and most importantly from my perspective as a reader, Jonah at all times respects Beth and takes cues from her reactions and her body language. He’s both a hard Dominant, but also a caring, generous man – the perfect blend to my mind.

An awesome, quick read for a lonely evening at home with a hot bath and a glass of wine (or possibly even a toy or two when you’re in the mood to spice things up) this is a wonderful read.

Not only has I.J. Miller captured the essence of the original heartbreak of this book, he gave me many sleepless nights dreaming about Wuthering Heights and The Grange. Erotic, toe curling action interwoven with the story brought a new vibrancy to this already well loved tale and now I can’t think of one without superimposing the other. This was no meek story that snored along like some erotic classics I have read in the past. Oh no. This one will have you clutching a bottle of ice water and gasping for air. The sex scenes are scorching and offer a deeper insight into the characters and their motivations. It is raw, visceral, full of psychological elements that delve deep into the minds of the characters and make you question your own reactions to what you are reading. Heathcliff’s character is true to form. He is a brute, through and through. I.J. His fixation on Catherine was an epic erotic adventure filled with domination, submission and a passion that would not die. I had always wondered about the things that happened behind the scenes and this novel gives us an unflinching look into the simmering darkness that is Heathcliff.

There are some dark points in the story worth mentioning. Dungeon scenes of questionable consent could be a trigger for some readers. She doesn’t leave Seth and Logan to carry this story alone either. Ms. Oak gave these unique men an amazing third to make up their trio in the form of Hurricane Georgia. I first met bratty, smart mouthed Georgia in Siren Unleashed and knew right away anyone from the Dawson clan was going to be formidable. They haven’t disappointed me so far. Chase and Ben found their HEA with Natalie in Siren Unleashed and I got some terrific hints at Win, Drew and Mark’s futures in Back in Bliss. With Georgia as their sister, they don’t stand a chance. I’m pretty sure I met a future heroine or two this time around as well.

Logan won the hearts of readers when he endured extreme punishment to protect his friends in One to Keep. He’s a different kind of tortured hero because he didn’t come to Bliss looking for healing. He was born and raised there. Readers witnessed his decent into darkness and I think that’s what made his redemption so much sweeter and anticipated. It also might have been the fact that Logan was a tertiary character. Not really even a secondary character; he was a forgettable if not lovable towny. Ms. Oak brought this young man out obscurity and onto a painful path that was necessary on so many levels. He doesn’t truly appreciate the journey until he’s faced with a certain group of baddies who always seem to find their way to Bliss. They obviously hadn’t read the papers over the last year or so. It never ends well for the bad guys visiting Bliss, but I’m okay with that.

Seth Stark is the other M in this M/F/M sandwich. He and Logan have been as close as brothers since they were boys. Ms. Oak always shows growth in her characters but I wasn’t sure how a multi-billionaire tech geek who seemed like an absolute doll had room to grow. I couldn’t have been more wrong. Seth is similar to Stef Talbot in that money talks for him. It opens doors and greases wheels. In short, it either makes people happy or it makes people disappear. It also makes the owner a bit arrogant even if it’s unintentional. Money has made Seth a little oblivious to the world around him and at a loss as to why his friends don’t simply accept his gifts with a thank you and a smile. Seth was more worldly than Logan prior to the “incident” but in some ways he was just as naïve.

Georgia Dawson is exactly the type of woman that Logan needed and who Seth knew he wanted from first sight. I loved the chemistry between these three. What I found completely interesting was how the dynamics were so different between Georgia and Logan and Georgia and Seth. Even though Georgia is the common factor it’s as if she’s two people who make the three of them whole. That’s hard to explain until you’ve read the book. The best way I describe is that she is the other half of each of their souls and she’s the glue that makes it possible for Logan and Seth to be the family they always dreamed of.

Speaking of family… I couldn’t help but remember a scene from the Disney movie Lilo and Stitch when I think of Bliss. There is no such thing as a “conventional family” in Bliss. Bliss is Ohana and Ohana means Family. There’s a scene towards the end of the movie where Stitch is explaining to the alien delegate (Mel would totally appreciate this) that Lilo and Nani were his family, they were small and broken but he found them and they were his. That’s pretty much how I would describe the community that is Bliss. They’re a family and family means no one gets left behind or forgotten. They have the guns to ensure it! Sure they have some seriously hot guys who like kink in the bedroom but I really think it’s that sense of belonging, without judgment or reservation, which Ms. Oak pours into each new story that keeps bringing her readers back time and again.

I was almost finished reading Back in Bliss when a song came on the radio that just seemed to fit this book to a tee. Sara Bareilles has a new song out called Brave that has Logan, Georgia and Seth written all over. It could have been written for them to sing to each other. These three characters provide each other with the inspiration, the desire to be more than they thought they could be, to let go of past hurts no matter how deep the wounds, to step out and show each other how big their BRAVE could be. I’m sure I say this with every book I review for Ms. Oak but this is another can’t miss addition to the series. I laughed, I cried, I fell in love right along with Logan, Georgia and Seth. There’s never been a better time to find Bliss.

He’s just controlling enough with the right amount of gruff to keep both Shaw and Stephanie on their toes and ready to follow orders. Stephanie comes from a long line of magick. She’s independent, talented and is just realizing how much actually loves two clueless wolves.

Ms. Tortuga doesn’t make her readers wait long to see just how hot these three are together. The first time is fast and sweaty but who can blame them when they only see each other once a month. It works for this story. Plus, I knew the true plot would deal with how the guys would talk Steph into helping them find their mate, how she’d take the news and how they’d eventually find their HEA, because they simply had to end up together. Ms. Tortuga didn’t disappoint. It’s not all mating and fun for Steph and the guys. Someone’s come to town to cause some trouble and does he ever?

Be sure to play close attention to Stephanie’s friend Wendy. I think we’ll be seeing more of her as well as the pack alpha, Brett. At least I hope to read their story! I adored all three characters, they each had flaws, they each had things about them that appealed to me. The author really got their individuality across well. The sex was smokin’ throughout, like seriously e-reader burning if M/M/M is your thing!

There were the usual ups and downs in the plot but it was more relationship focused than anything else, apart from a bit at the end with a sick horse, and I liked that.  The author got it just right for me, so much so that it felt real, like these guys really could live this way, happily and together for all of time.

If you enjoy reading about handsome, sexy men getting off together then this is a good book to try. Solid characters, sex that makes sense on every level for them and a nice long read you can get your teeth into. I would certainly read more by TA Chase.
