I certainly didn’t care anything about the scenery once the sex started. One small detail I would like to have seen was a conclusion to the murder investigation. Since this was an underlining reason Harte and Ramey meet and was intertwined in the plot, not knowing how it ended left me feeling just a wee bit empty. The main plot was wrapped up nicely so it would have been pleasant to seen the sub-plot wrapped up as well.

Since this is book one I can only hope that the following books will give the reader that happy-ever-after that Jaycee deserves. I enjoyed this book but I would caution readers that it is a very intense read including some deaths of prominent characters, references to the abuse and rape of a younger Jaycee and some harsh sex scenes as well.

Trinity Blacio does a great job of bringing the readers into the world of the wolves. Jaycee and her mates are great characters and I cannot wait to see how their story concludes.

I knew when I opened this book, I was in for a good time. I’d read other works by Ms. Mitchell and fell in love with the characters. Her writing style is nicely paced and I really felt like I was there in Florida with Joey and Aaron, watching my best friends figure out life and love. What really made this book memorable for me was Joey. I’d met him before in Diving In Deep and I wasn’t sure I’d like him, but I’m glad I got this book, because in just over two hundred pages, he really grew on me. I loved the description of him. Yes, he’s in social services and works with kids, but there were times when he could’ve turned up his nose and didn’t. His ability to make everyone feel important imprinted itself on me. Oh, and did I mention his klutzy tendency? I didn’t want to see him hurt, but the fact that he could trip over his own feet endeared him to me. Yeah, once I closed this book, I sighed happily.

Aaron…where to start with him…he’s a good guy. Really, he is. What he’s also is a bit misunderstood, and by his own hand. The poor guy has a lot on his broad shoulders. Yes, at first he wasn’t my favorite character because he came off callous, but when I knew why, I felt awful for not liking him. As I said, he’s a good guy, and totally in love with Joey (even when he doesn’t want to admit it) and it came off as rather cute. He’s the master of control, whereas Joey is aloof. The combination couldn’t have been better.

If you want a book that is guaranteed to rivet you, grab a box of tissues, prepare to laugh, and nab a copy of Collision Course. You’ll be glad you did. I was. Totally worth 5 cherries.
