I read and re-read the blurb for Never Have I Ever probably six times and kept putting off choosing it because I had not read anything by Ms. Rai in the past. I regret not having picked it up sooner. This was a terrific little novella that packs a lot into a hundred pages. I encourage you to be quicker on the draw than I was and pick up a copy of Never Have I Ever sooner rather than later. It’s beautifully written and being titled as book one means that there is obviously a plan or a book two and hopefully a third. This reviewer will be watching for the opportunity to experience Ms. Rai’s works again and I hope you’ll join me.

I am always amazed by the capability of the soul to endure seemingly impossible trials and still be able to let love in. Lust and Vamp, the second of Joyee Flynn’s Anything Goes series, deals with the healing that takes place between tragedy and happily ever after.

Temp and Reid face many challenges that threaten their existence together, but never compromises their love for each other. This unconditional love is one of my favorite themes in romance stories. The protagonists get together at the very beginning of the book so that the reader has a front row seat to their blooming love.

Ms. Flynn is uniquely clever in her creation of exhilarating and erotic scenes. Temp and Reid are physically breathtaking and their dialogue is flirtatious and seductive. I loved that each steamy encounter was different. While the story is written in first person from Temp’s perspective, I felt that Reid’s emotions were effectively represented. I would recommend reading the first book in this series, Lust and Fae, in order to understand events in the beginning of this book.

Lust and Vamp was a charming tale with strong characters, and authentic emotions. I heartily recommend this romance to you because I find myself craving the next book in this series more than my next chocolate fix. Kudos to Joyee Flynn for authoring yet another remarkable story. There is a sinister evil that is lurking in the background for a large portion of the book but makes itself known in a huge way by the end of the book. So, will Nick and Steve be able to convince Julianna that the three of them together make the perfect family? Will the evil that is hunting Steve destroy their chance for happiness? Okay, so you can probably guess the answers but believe me when I say you want to read this book. Leah Brooke is one of my favorite story tellers and with good reason. Her stories never fail to entertain and keep me waiting anxiously for her next book. Pick up a copy of Crescendo and be prepared for some serious heat, heart stopping adventure and breathtaking romance.

While this is the first in The O’Hagan Way series, it is an extension of the beloved Marius Brothers books. If you’ve not had the occasion to check these books out, you really have missed out on a fantastic series and will want to rectify that as soon as you can.

The beginning demonstrates in a humorous way that Dillon Dragos is completely out of his element in Ireland as the big, bad, American warrior receives the equivalent of a clown car at the airport’s car rental stand. This scene was written so well that I could actually picture the expression on Dillon’s face when he first sees the vehicle.

The Marius and O’Hagan families are so different, but share the same loyalty and devotion. I enjoyed meeting the Irish counterparts to the loving Marius bunch. The dialogue between members of the family is real and relaxed. They deal with common familial issues such as sibling rivalry, being busted by the folks for swearing, laughing, crying, celebrating and mourning with each other as a unit. Ms. Flynn is unerringly consistent with her character development. As this is a new branch of an ongoing series, Joyee Flynn ensures it can be read by itself by giving a recap of events and roles established in previous books.

A Dillon Sandwich is about so much more than the special bond shared between Dillon and his mates. I adored this tale about family, true family, and the lengths these people will go to in order to preserve the values they hold dear. A healing love through demonstration is illustrated with real emotion and attention to detail. I have recommended this book to others, and have re-read it several times. I’m confident you’ll be eager to read the next book in this series, as you come to care for the family as much as I do. I felt like Sav’s acceptance of Mindy in their lives is a sign of his love and trust in Aaran that was integral to making the whole relationship work.

My only real problem with the story is that I felt like I was thrown into the story with only a couple of snapshots of the past to get me caught up and invested in the present before it moves swiftly towards the HEA. I would like to have been given some more background on both Arran and Mindy’s relationship as well as how/where Aaran met and fell in love with Sav. Having said that, this is a short story and it is still an entertaining read despite its length. Tangled Up appears to be the third in a series but it works without issue as a stand-alone. If you read Must Be Doing Something Right or Learning How To Bend you’ll enjoy being treated with a visit from the co-owner of Besta Pizza Around, Nate Waterford.

I could tell this was truly matters of the heart.

The writing style and description was up to par, though I was left feeling a little disconnected was during the love scenes as if something was missing. It may have been small details, but it was enough to pull me from the story. With that said, the physical connection was not the dominant trait in this relationship so it was easily forgivable because the emotional attachment took precedence in the characters’ relationship so it also took precedence in my attachment to the characters.

Not only was the relationship development between the two main characters well portrayed in this story, but also the father-son bond that I got to watch bloom between Collin and Kerrigan. I loved the way Collin discovered who his son really was in this story. He also was willing to love Kerrigan and want to care for him even when it would have been easier to just give up. It was something that truly touched my heart and will stay with me for a long time.

With strong emotions and characters with limitless abilities to care for others this story tugged my heart strings and stayed with me long after the last page was turned.
