Crave is a sizzling read. As in all of Ms. Cartwright’s novels, the BDSM scenes and sex are extraordinary, but there is more. The author not only sucked me into the BDSM lifestyle once more, she sucked me into a new world: the world of Sarah and Reece, of luxury and decadence, of heartbreak and love.

The pace of the story is quick (I read it in one sitting) and Cartwright’s style is not complicated but the depth that she gives her characters in Crave goes beyond the pages. Reece and Sarah are far from perfect. As I read the novel, I had mixed feelings toward both of them. On the one hand, I understood Sarah’s fear, but on the other hand, I also had the impression that a lot of the time she was selfish. After all, she ran. She ran without saying goodbye or without giving an explanation and she returned two years later. I repeat, two years later. I seriously thought that was a ridiculously long amount of time for her to realize that she still loved Reece and wanted to try to win him back.

However, I looked past it as did Reece. He was also a complicated character. I have to say, that at first when she came back I had the annoying impression that he only reunited with her because she was now a “perfect” sub. As I read about him and what he demanded (even if unconsciously) I understood why Sarah would run and also why she would come back, for even though I had my doubts about them, their love story still prevailed. Every action, every word, every little thing had an inkling of love that wasn’t overt but was present. There was an undercurrent of emotion between them that denoted not two persons that had just met but two persons that knew each other well from before.

With intriguing secondary characters, Ms. Cartwright has also set the stage for forthcoming novels, which I will certainly read.

All in all, Crave was a wonderful read that will get romantics swooning and BDSM readers hot.

At the time, she thought her pack leaders were showing her kindness by taking her in—even if no one really seemed to like her—but as Zeke begins uncovering the truth behind her pack’s disturbing activities, she realizes that the last eighteen-months had been a lie. Horrific memories secreted by her wolf and a drug-induced amnesia had kept her ignorant to what was really going on. Now, with Zeke’s help, she’ll discover the real reasons for her pack leaders’ superficial kindness as well as how to embrace her inner wolf.

While I really enjoyed The Alpha’s Toy by Sam Crescent, there were some things about the dialog that annoyed me. In particular, it felt like the author repeated the same thing to get a point across when it wasn’t necessary. For instance, when the hero tells his friend to take Mary to the kitchen for food in one sentence, he doesn’t need to say make sure she gets some food in the next. He’s already made the point that he wants her to eat. Some things just felt redundant or unnecessarily wordy. Even though this did bug me a bit, it did not deter me from reading or liking the story. I just think it’s something that could be cleaned up a bit to make it an even better story. The plot, the characters, and the sex—which there was quite a bit of, by the way—were all very good. The author does well with moving things along and tying up loose ends. Overall, I think it’s worth the read and the little things that needled me may not bother others.

This may be a forced arrangement, but Mary doesn’t seem too upset about her lot once Zeke makes good on his promise to be buried balls deep inside her. I can’t say that I blame her. Part of me (especially in the first chapter or so) wanted Damon to move a bit slower with Toby, but I quickly understood what the author was doing and respected him – and Damon – for not shying away or beating around the bush. Damon is a take-charge kind of character and while he pushed forward, full steam ahead, he never was uncaring or overwhelming to Toby, and that made me enjoy and respect both these characters even more.

I love how while the pace was fast, and Damon certainly pushed Toby in all manner of ways, but there was still plenty of room for the romance of their relationship to flourish. The die-hard romantic in me was deeply satisfied with how much time and effort both men spent not only on getting to know each other, but exploring and learning each other inside and out of bed. While I found there is plenty of play and talking of fantasies and experimenting, this isn’t a hard-edged story. I would happily recommend it for readers who love their M/M and even some who are dipping a toe into the water for the first time.

Full of wonderful dialogue, surprising laughs and a sweet, glorious pairing this is an excellent book and strongly romantic. With enough spice and edge to make me blush, but still be sweet and emotional this book hit a lot of perfect notes for me. I’d happily recommend it and look forward to reading it again.

When Brendan finds her, you feel the uncertainty and fear—will my job find out? Will he stalk me? It’s all there. So is the heat when they connect. It’s electric and I couldn’t stop reading. Kudos to A. M. Hartnett. I am now a convert awaiting your next novel.

Beatrice is such an interesting and relatable main character. As soon as I met her I couldn’t help but to like her. This explanation didn’t quite make sense to me given certain loopholes in it that were never really filled in. It would have been helpful if this section had either been left out entirely or if more time been spent describing how it works.

This was one of the sexiest short stories I’ve read in a long time. The love scenes blended perfectly with the other subplot, and the transitions between the sexy romps and Beatrice’s personal development were smooth. I don’t know if the author has any intention of turning this into a series, but I’d be interesting in checking out the sequel if she does.

While there is a small plot interwoven about the Olympics and Cole’s work in SWAT, it’s predominantly about how Tanya and Cole try to revive and save their marriage and sexual relationship. Because of her past, Sara is not sure she’s good enough for one man, let alone two. This story has a satisfying ménage when the three finally get together. My one complaint with this story is that we spend so much time with Trace and Sara as a couple with Sara having a side attraction to Kai. We get to see from both Kai and Trace’s point of view their college love affair, but Kai being introduced as a third seemed a bit rushed. It does work, because Trace and Kai are already in love, and Sara and Kai are half in love, but I would have loved more time with them as a trio.

I can only hope the author revisits these characters. This is the third book in the Club series, and I had no problem following along and where the characters fit in. I really love when an author does such a great job setting up a series book as a stand-alone. I very much recommend this for fans of ménage where the men are just as in love with each other as the lady involved.

The scenes were both hot and I could tell the writer didn’t just put words down. This is book three so for readers who jump into the middle of the series, a bit of Grisha’s reasons why he is like he is might be missed. But it really didn’t take from the actual story, so it may be able to be read as a stand alone.

I picked up this book, because of the fire play, which turned out to only be a small scene but the content of the story made up for the small bit of fire. Readers who look for some variety in their BDSM but also want the love and erotic romance should give this novella a try.

I haven’t read books 1 and 2, yet I still could make sense of the story line and loved it. I was all for the twins taking Cassie as their sub, however a few times my hand itched to strangle the twins. Other readers might even want to strangle Cassie a time or two, but that irritation was offset by the author engaging my feelings for Cassie.

Luc, Logan and Cassie had me huffing, puffing and lapsing into giggles – all good things. Their Temporary Sub was a very enjoyable read and I’d recommend it.
